Office jet 4620 power cuts off

Hello Folks.....Please help!!
I have an Office Jet 4620. I have tried numerous times today to get the power to stay on. The power button on the printer does not work and I've had to switch it on/off at the wall switch to power up again. The printer will start up, briefly show the menu screeen, the blue wireless button lights up and then it immediately shuts down by it self! Same result in any socket in the house.
I have quite a few docs to scan and print today, does anybody know what is causing this? Am I looking at a repair (it's out of warranty by 3 months) or do I need a new printer? :-(
Any advice greatly received.

Hello,
It's not advisable to direct switch on/off from the power souce. Dirty or hard power cycling may hurt your power or eletrical devices.
In your case, there's chance for your internal power adapter is having problem.

I have an Office Jet 4620 on my wireless network at home.
It has worked well until I installed a new router. The network sees the printer, I have entered my network password into the printer software.
When I try to print the printer makes a little noise then locks up. The only way to get the printer to turn off is to pull the power cord.
Any ideas?

Please follow this entire HP document on Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection. Also, I would recommend following this HP document on Sleep Mode Issues. Your printer could be going into a sleep mode, this is why you're experiencing this kind of issue.

right now i am Egypt i search for that ink in all hp reseller and they all i have to contact support to discible how to change the frim wire to accept meddle east inks that belong for that model which is no 178
so is there any solution

Computer partially starts and then power cuts off

Dear Apple Support Community,
I have an iMac running 10.8.5 and when I go to start the computer, the screen turns on, and after a moment or two, the screen cuts off. Any recommendations before bringing it to an Apple store?
I have already tried unplugging the computer from the power source, and plugging back in.

How old is your mac?
Do you hear the fan/harddive working when the screen cuts out?
When the screen cuts out, do you get a light when pressing the caps-lock key?

Gigaworks T20 power cut off

I bought a pair of Gigaworks T20 speakers two weeks ago and have been delighted with them up until last night. I was playing a computer game, when the speakers emitted a 'phut' sound as if they'd been turned off. Looking at the speakers I noticed the blue power on LED was off even though the volume control was about half way round. The connecting wires were all secure, and the PSU secure in the surge protected supply. The supply was very hot however. If I removed the power supply and left it for a couple of minutes then plugged it back in I got the power back only for the speakers to die again 20 mins later.
Has anyone else had this problem?

In System Preferences>Fax & Print, Right click or Control+click on the Printers list Sidebar, choose Reset Printing System.
if you hold option and click the "-" tab it resets the printing system.

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions.

HP office jet 4620 has good wi-fi connection but, cannot print directly .via my computer?

I have spent 2 full days trying to print from my computer (also wi-fi enabled) through to my HP Officejet 4620.
I have had splendid downloads from HP trying to sort the problem but no luck so far.
I have windows Vista and my computer is a faithful old Toshiba Satelite L300 and, I have not connected to a printer before on this computer. To enable the printer to engage with my wi-fi rovider was easy and successful. It prints test papers great.
Any help would be so appreciated.

I see that you are unable to print over a wireless network with the Officejet 4620 with a Windows Vista computer. When you try to print, what happens? Is there an error, is the printer not found, does the software not install, etc?
Have you tried the Print and Scan Dr, if not, run it and let me know the results.

HP Office Jet 4620 Will Not Print Black

I have had my HP Officejet 4620 for almost two years. Until a couple of weeks ago, it was printing perfectly - no problems at all. In the last couple of weeks, however, the printer is having problems printing in black. At first, the black was rather staggered (e.g. the top half of a line would be black, bottom half of line would be grey or non-existent). The only way to get it print consistently in black was to set the print quality to "best". This only worked for a couple of days. Now the black will only print out in the most very faded grey - almost invisible. I have tried everything suggested on the forum - new cartridges, venting, alignments, printhead cleaning and so forth and so forth. Nothing works. I have run HP Print and Scan Doctor 4.3 but to no avail. The printer simply appears to be unable to print any longer in black. I notice that many people seem to be experiencing the same problem with no solution. I am somewhat inclined to believe that there is a product deficiency or problem associated with this printer that HP does not want to discuss on the Forum. I am at my wit's end. The only solution I see is to purchase a new printer. This is unfortunate since I hate to scrap a piece of hardward as new as this. I also suspect there is no point in trying to get it repaired since the repairs will probably cost more than a new printer (my printer is no longer under warrantly). Does anyone have any further thoughts, suggestins or comments? Can someone from HP please explain why this problem seems to be so common and unfixable? Many thanks!!

Office jet 4620 - black ink not printing

Even though the ink level was at about 20% level, black ink was not printing. I cleaned the printer head but no resolution. I then bought a new HP cartridge at Staples and replaced the old one. Still not printing black. Other colors ok. Have gone through cleaning a few times

The printer is not able to use ePrint if you have the USB cable connected. The unit has to be connected to the network. Once you connect the printer to the network you should be good to go!
These steps typically resolve the issue:
1. Press the ePrint button on the printer's front-panel.
2. Head over to the ePrintCenter website (http://www.eprintcenter.com/), and log in (or sign up for a new account if you don't have one).
3. Click the "+Add Printer" button and enter the printer code from the ePrint info page (“Print Report” page from step 1). Create a customized ePrint email address.
