Office jet 6310 ink cartridge replacement

I own an inkjet 6310 all in one printer and i needed to replace my ink cartridges.  i currently have a black 337 and a color 343 in the printer.  the replacement cartridges per hp is now black 95 and color 98.  when i intall the new ones, i get an error message that the 95/98 cartridges are not the correct cartridge.  i can't find 337/343 anywhere.  i even bought another set of 95/98 to see if it was a cartridge problem and it didn't work.  Any ideas?
I bought the printer about 3-4 years ago.

Did you buy the printer in one country and then move to another?  If so you will need to Contact HP to request a "Regionalization Reset". There should not be any charge for this, it is covered as part of the cartridge warranty. You will need to have access to your computer and printer while on the line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once the reset is complete cartridges from the original region will no longer work.  HP's web page on the subject is here.

    Hello schrec,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see you have some questions regarding Instant Ink, I would like to do my best to answer them for you. You will get separate notifications for each cartridge.
Once you install the first Instant Ink cartridges, the account is now active. There fore, it is best to install both inks into the printer. To store your opened cartridges, this guide should proved the best means of doing so.

  • Ink Cartridge replacement

How do I get my unopened ink cartridge replaced? My old printer has just died and likely I am going to buy a new HP if I can get new ink by sending back the unused cartridges.

    Hey @manfredRo,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you're interested in swapping out an unopened ink cartridge for an ink cartridge that would be compatible with your new printer. What I would suggest at this point is to contact our HP Technical Support queue by phone to see if there are 'swap' options available to you.
HP Technical Support can be reached at:  800-474-6836.

  • 6310 ink cartridge

I have a 6310 bought new in March 2007.  It has worked well until recently.  Without any previous difficulty or warning the display indicated the left ink cartridge required replacing even though ink supply was about half full.  I replaced the cartridge and the display continued to indicate the left cartridge required replacement.  I called HP tech support.  Subsequent to some discussion the tech rep offered the only solution he thought available was to purchase a replacement 6310 from HP for $97.00.  His belief was that the "chip" was no good.  This is very disappointing.  Anyone have any other solution to this problem.  I have found I can print in black only although the scan, copy, and fax functions are inoperative.  Anyone want a tri-color cartridge that apparently I cannot use?

Must be something in the air -- I just encountered the exact same problem aboiut an hour ago.  I called tech support, they went through a few things with me, told me to get another color cartridge and try that.  The tech promised me that if it still doesn't work, they'll send me a new printer.  I was surprised considering that I think the printer is more than a year old and thus out of warranty.  Now I gotta run out and plunk down money for a color cartridge, which will probably turn out to be a waste of time.
What bugs me is that when the color  feature isn't working for some reason, the whole printer is disabled and one can't even work in black-and-white. Similarly, if your color cartridge is empty or if you simply remove it, you can't print in B&W.  What's up with that?

  • HP "02" ink cartridges replaced by "363" ones

I have a Photosmart 3200 which takes 02 ink cartridges.  These are now obsolete and have been replaced by 363 cartridges, but when I load the 363 cartridges, the printer will not accept them as it realises that they are not 02 which it is expecting.
As a result, I can no longer print anything since one of the colours is empty, I can not buy 02 cartridges any more, and the printer will not accept the replacement 363 cartridges.  How can I rectify this problem please?.

Hi - The problem your running into is the fact that the printer is regionalized and will only accept ink cartridges from the region it was purchased in.  If it was originally accepting 02 cartridges, you'll need to contact HP Support who can perform a one time "reset" so that the printer will accept the cartridges (363) from the country you're currently living in.
    Hope that helps.

  • My Office Jet 6310 prints a line

Every time I try to print using the document feeder, my OfficeJet 6310 All-in-one prints what seems like a 1 inch margin line all the way down the left side of the paper. I have cleaned the cartridges, rollers, and glass and ran successful allignments.  The issue does not exist when the document prints from the flatbed. How do I get rid of this line? Can someone help me with this

I am having the same issue with my hp c7250 all in one. Did you ever find the solution? Thanx

  • Ink Cartridge Replacement Order

When setting up my photosmart 6525 I read a brief statement somewhere along the way telling me that when I get a "low on ink" message, a new cartridge will be shipped to me. My question is, is this automatically shipped or can I opt out? I like shopping at a certain store in my town to buy my supplies and I don't want a cartridge via postal service. Thanks.

    @Philngroovy, Welcome to the forums!
I saw your post about how you read that if you are low on ink, a new cartridge would be shipped to you. I would like to ask you if you have enrolled in the Instant Ink program? Once I know if you have enrolled, we will go from there!

  • Office jet 8000 ink levels

I recently installed new cartridges, ran the printerhead cleaning from HP Toolbox and now my printer says I am low on ink.  Ive printed maybe 5-10 pages, is this possible?

Choose the type of duplex - you probably have Short-edge binding enabled.  Change it to Long-edge binding.

  • HP office jet 6310 - fast draft option gone

When I upgraded my computer to snow leopard the fast draft option for my 6310 disappeared.

    Hi B,
Run Software Update to make sure there are no updates Apple is offering (install the update/s if available). If no luck, go to HP's site and see if they have a newer one. I have an Epson and I've noticed various features come and go depending on the update. Usually the features come back eventually.

  • HP Office jet 6310

I purchased my printer through the HP web site in mid 2007 and it broke down.  I contacted HP where to get it fixed  and their suggestions would not fix it because I bought it through the HP Web Page.  I took it to an independent dealer and they said it would cost more to fix it than buying a new printer.  The printer is still under warranty but I don't know where to take to get it fixed.  My Zip code is 91360.  Any suggestions.

    Hi,
The XL cartridges are physically same size with the normal cartridges, only THE volumes of ink inside are not the same. Normally the volume of ink inside a XLcartridge is more than double the volume of ink inside a normal cartridge.
Hope this helps. Note: they must be physcally same size otherwise they won't fit.
