Office Jet 7500A Wide Fomat 910a - Checking Low Ink Levels

I used to be able to select 'Devices and Printers', select my printer and then I would be given a few choices including Checking ink levels. I have recently tried to do this, but the option no longer seems to be there.
In addition I used to be warned, on the computer, when my ink levels were getting low. I have recently run of ink on a number of occasions and there is no longer a warning.
Can anyone help?

I have the Office Jet 7000 wide Format Printer and the Office Jet 7500 Wide format All In One Printer. Is there any way to customize the size of paper that you want to print Or can you only use the ones in the drop down menu. I do scrapbooking and would like the option to print full bleed 8 x 8 inch papers. I can print full bleed on the 7000, but I do not see an option for custom sizing.

Low Ink level warning on new inks.

I own a Photosmart c309a and I am about ready to throw the thing out of the window.
I purchased all 5 inks required today, printed 1 test photo (6x4), 2 personal photos (6x4) and about 7 test pages as I have not used the printer for a couple of months and had to clean the printer head 7 times.
The problem I am now faced with is low ink levels. The Cyan, Magenta and Yellow inks are nearly empty, the Black is just over half full and the photo black is about a quarter full.
Remember, these official HP cartridges are brand new and purchased TODAY!
As my warranty expired with Comet about 2 months ago and HP is of no help at all as the automatic HP warranty check is a dead end, I am at a loss as to what t o do next, other than dumping the whole lot in the bin and buying a new (non HP) printer. Can anyone help?

You can try changing the settings in the Printer Server Properties.
Click to highlight your printer, click Printer Server Properties, then click Advanced tab and check both "Show informational notifications..." boxes. Click Apply and then click OK.
As you can see, this screenshot is not specific to your printer. you will need to look for your 6600.

Have clicked on FF 3.6 version to download in the past 3X however system says I have FF3.5

Are you changing that setting to Black / Greyscale from within Firefox?
{Ctrl + P} then hit the Properties button next to the Printer Name.

Accurate checking of ink levels

Hi!
Everyone is wondering why the estimated ink levels say that inks are still full/half full etc but they cannot print.
So to check the most accurate ink level please do print a printer status report. It indicates the exact levels.
*I am part of the HP family but I do have my own stand

The printer status report may have more resolution (typically to the nearest 1%) but does not necessarily have any better accuracy. Photosmart Prem-Web C309n-s. No warning for low ink levels.

Printer runs out of ink with no warning, and there is no way to verify the ink levels to monitor remaining level. :-(

The ink levels can be checked from the printer front panel or computer as described here.
If the cartridges appear to run out of ink prematurely check the vents as descried in step 3, solution 6 here.

Office Jet 7500A E910, wide format, firmware reset failed.

Having problems with printer, reset firmware, failed Error code on firmware reset hang is 6203B0AD. Anyone have a clue??
Also, how to tell if ink cartridges are genuine??

I read your post about the error you are seeing when trying to install your Officejet 7500A printer. I will certainly do my best to help you out with this!
I would first suggest trying the steps in this guide. Please disregard the actual title, I have reviewed the steps and would suggest you try them: Windows: During Network Software Installation, an 'Installation Error 2081883401: Failed to Uninstal...
If the above steps do not work, you can try creating a new user account with administrator privileges on your computer and then download and run the installation again to see if that will work.

Why do I have to turn off and on my HP office jet 7500A every time I want to print a page? I can print one and imediatly try to print a second and it says it cant be found on the network.

Since going up to Lion I am having problems with my HP Officejet 7500A printer. It is on the network wirrelessly. After every page I have to turn the printer off and back on again because my mac cant find the printer on the network. The windows mechines here can still find it, but not my Mac Pro. What is going on?
Obviously I have it set up right because I can print to it. problem is my mac thinks it goes off line every time I tell it to print another document.
Anyone know of a fix?

Lion may have replaced files that partially made up your printer drivers. Either way, HP saw fit to make a new set of drivers specifically for 10.7 so you may want to use it simply to avoid any bugs tehy found.

HP Office Jet 7500A can't get to work properly on home network

I have the printer listed in the subject. We have tried wireless connections and wired and we keep having problems like the printer dropping off the network. We currently run Windows 7. I am beginning to hate this printer and are ready to ship it back to HP. The HP software itself finds the printer and works with test pages. Windows 7 won't properly add the printer. We use a Linksys EA6500 wireless router. We have even wired into that. ARGH....can anyone please help? We try the add printer function in windows and no go.. This is getting really frustrating. Thanks!

I have this annoying squeak everytime I print. I've oiled the carriage rod with no results. Any ideas on how to end the squeak ..........??????????????????

I noticed that your HP Officejet 7500A printer is making squeaking noises. I am sorry to hear this, but happy to help!
Please take a look through this guide, 'Out of Paper' Error Message and the Product Does Not Pick Up or Feed Paper. As it will explain how to clean the rollers. (Even though the guide title may not match your issue, I believe the solutions will help.)

Printing envelopes on HP office jet 7000 wide format

I'm trying to print addresses on 30 envelopes ... the machine will print one and then jam. Annoying! Even though I'm loading only 5 envelopes at a time. Any solutions out there?
