Office Live Meeting 2007

Hi, my company runs Office Live Meeting 2007 for web conferances. I'm trying to understand if it's supported on Mac (Lion) and Office 2011 for Mac, but I can't figure it out. Is it? Or is it partly? If not is there any way to make it work, beside running a Windows VM on tha Mac?
Thanks...

From the research that I have done, you can participate in a Live Meeting session with Lion, but you can't present. There is a piece of Live Meeting that is not Intel-native and as a result presenting doesn't work.

    Might be their problem.

  • Safari compatibility with Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 Web Access

I'm trying to use Live Meeting 2007 Web Access, and the test page is saying that the software isn't supported by my platform. The troubleshooter states that system requirements are Safari 1.3 or 2.0, and my Safari is 3.2.1 Can anyone advise how to remedy this without scrapping my current version and adding the earlier one? It also says it needs Apple Java 1.4.2...I'm completely lost there. Thanks for your help!

    Hi,
Did the issue happen for all Live meeting or just for one Live meeting?
If the issue happen for all Live meeting, please update OCS client and then test again.
Try to reset IE and use other media player to test the issue.

  • Getting the USB microphone to appear in Live Meeting 2007

Optia AF camera under Vista, using Live Meeting 2007. The video works fine. But, neither Live Meeting nor Office Communicator lists the built-in USB microphones as a choice when configuring the audio. The only way I can get audio to work is by using the headphones and microphone connected to my sound card.
Strangely enough, the USB microphone works fine with Windows Sound Recorder if I set it as the default sound input device in the Windows sound control panel.
Anybody else have this problem and find a solution?

Performance tip: Keep the Desktop clutter-free (empty, if possible)
Mac OS X's Desktop is the de facto location for downloaded files, and for many users, in-progress works that will either be organized later or deleted altogether. The desktop can also be gluttonous, however, becoming a catch-all for files that linger indefinitely.
Unfortunately - aside from the effect of disarray it creates - keeping dozens or hundreds of files on the Desktop can significantly degrade performance. Not necessarily because the system is sluggish with regard to rendering the icons on the desktop and storing them in memory persistently (which may be true in some cases), but more likely because keeping an excessive number of items on the Desktop can cause the windowserver process to generate reams of logfiles, which obviously draws resources away from other system tasks. Each of your icons on your desktop is stored as a window in the window server, not as an alias. The more you have stored, the more strain it puts on the window server. Check your desktop for unnecessary icons and clear them out.
Keeping as few items as possible on the Desktop can prove a surprisingly effective performance boon. Even creating a single folder on your Desktop and placing all current and future clutter inside, then logging out and back in can provide an immediately noticeable speed boost, particularly for the Finder.

  • Recording converter for microsoft office live meeting: the sound is lost after a minute

I have a recording of a WebEx Live Meeting (ReplayMeeting.htm and all directories below) that I want to convert using the Recording Converter.
I have a problem with the sound: after a minute or so the sound is lost from the converted .wmv file.
When I play back the original, the sound is present all of the time.
When I look at the original files in the directory of the recording I see that the original video file is in one part, the original sound files are split into smaller files.
What can I do about that?

    Hello,
Can you try recording the meeting on another computer with Windows integrated codecs installed and see if the issue persists.
    Thanks,
    Simon

  • Live Meeting meeting invites contain links that are no longer accurate.

I inherited an OCS 2007 R2 environment (yes, I know it needs to be updated) that is currently sending meeting invites with links that are no longer valid for the install portion.
    The meeting invite section says:
Make sure the Office Live Meeting client is installed before the meeting:
    I am connecting from
    inside the Corporation network
    I am connecting from
    outside the Corporation network
    The links point to:
    http://r.office.microsoft.com/r/rlidOCSR2?clid=1033&p1=livemeeting
    Which is no longer available.
I have found a current site:

I'm trying to install Live Meeting 2007 client v806362.215 under SCCM 2012 application model using the .MSI.  "I get a message that says the installer was interrupted before Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 could be installed.  You need

researching the message indicates that there was an issue with the elevated permissions (system account) that the install was trying to use.

  • Lync 2013 client deployment via SCCM with silent uninstall of Communicator / Live Meeting / Plugin

    Hi
We are rolling out Lync 2013 across our org to many remote sites and are wondering the best approach for this.
We hope to leverage our SCCM, but so far we've only been installing Lync manually in our local test group.
I noticed that when installing Lync, it doesn't remove Communicator, Live Meeting, or the Live Meeting plugin for Outlook though.
Ideally, we would want to be able to push Lync 2013 client (standalone version, not Office 2013 Suite) via SCCM as well as uninstall Communicator 2007 R2, Live Meeting 2007 and Conferencing Add-in for Microsoft Office Outlook, all silently. Whether this
can be done while the user is logged in and using Outlook/Communicator, I am unsure (probably not), so doing this overnight with users logged off but machines on would probably work best.
Is there any documentation / guides from MS or other blog sites that have gone through this same process? From the searching I've done, it doesn't seem to be too common for a large deployment / jump from OCS 2007 to Lync 2013 on-premise.

    Hi,

  • Can I disable the prompt "Upgrade Live Meeting Client" without actually upgrading?

    Hi,
Does anyone know a way to prevent the following prompt (seen when exiting Live Meeting) - but without actually downloading and installing the update?
    "Upgrade Live Meeting Client"
"A new version of Microsoft Office Live Meeting is available from http://download.microsoft.com/download/..../LMSetup.exe"
"Would you like to upgrade now?"
As an Administrator, I'd like to deploy updates to my users when I need to (i.e. after testing etc.) rather than users downloading updates for themselves.
Does anyone know how to prevent Live Meeting checking for updates on exit?
    Ed

I upgraded the site and set the contact form to "don't use a workflow". But now my admin account isn't getting an email notification when a user uses the form.
The knowledgebase describes what I want, "If your site plan doesn't include a customer database, the form data is emailed to you."
My form is using FormProcessv2. Any suggestions?

  • Microsoft Live Meeting

A client (PC-based) wants to use Microsoft Live Meeting 2007, but this doesn't open up  properly on my MacBookPro since upgrading to Lion.  All software shows as current.   Suggestions anyone?

I've since upgraded to OS X 10.9.1, and to Java Version 7 Update 51.    For LiveMeeting to run I had to lower the Java 'Security' settings (through the Java Control Panel in System Preferences)   to 'Medium'.
This enabled me to log in and view the LiveMeeting screen, but I am still not getting Audio for some reason.

  • Live meeting crashes while sharing desktop

I am using Microsoft Live meeting 2007. When I share my desktop; live meeting crashes without leaving any trace why this has happened. Please help.

    Hi,
As far as I know, there isn't new version of Live Meeting.
In Lync Server 2010,Live meeting client is merged into the Lync 2010 as a unified client.
Here is the detail about Lync 2010 compatibility.

    Hope this useful!

  • External user not able to join Live Meeting, but can join Lync Meeting

We have LYNC 2010 pool with OCS 2007 R2 & Live Meeting clients ( with few LYNC 2010 clients). We are having issue with one external organization with Live Meetings. If any of our company user schedules Live Meeting, the particular external company users
( they have OCS 2007 R2 and Live Meeting clients) are not able to join our Live meetings. If we schedule Lync Meetings, they are able to join  successfully through Web Interface.
On the other side, our users don't have any issue to join their Live Meetings.
We have LYNC edge servers and all external users don't have any issue to join our Live Meetings. The external company also don't have any issue with other users.
It's only 1 to 1 issue with Live Meeting ( not Lync meeting).
Any help to resolve this issue is much appreciated...

    Hi,
From your description, did you mean it is a coexistence environment?
Did they receive any error message from Live Meeting client?
If possible, you can test with other federation companies with Live Meeting client. If it happen to all federation companies, I suggest to double check port, certificate requirement for federation. If it happen only for one company, please check
if Live Meeting Clients update to the latest version.
