Office Pro Plus 2010 Licensing

Can you provide screenshots of these "two areas" so we'll know what you're talking about?  You definitely should not have to enter your key more than once.

Hey all,
I've stepped into an environment that uses Office 2010 Pro Plus.  The product, upon freshly being installed,  has two areas that displays that the product is unlicensed.  If I click on "Change Product Key" and enter in the PK, it will activate.  One portion will say that is activated, the other will not.
I'll try to go to the second, enter the same PK, and it will accept the code and say that the product is already activated.  But, the second portion will still show as being unlicensed.  This wouldn't be a big deal as long as it is actually licensed, but it all shows up in the Spiceworks utility as being unlicensed.
Is there something I'm missing here, or that I'm doing improperly?

Cannot receive email and "bogus" email being sent to my contacts from me....some to my deceased mother-in-law.

If they are not in sent items, I dont believe these emails are actually generated.. Check whether they do realy exist in your sent items
Any one can send any email address by spoofing..
If they are not in the sent items, but your contacts still are getting spams , may be someone is spoofing your email address..  using a php form,
these kind of thing can be done (not limited to php, may be almost any language can do it ).. http://www.w3schools.com/php/php_mail.asp But in the event that there is
no proper email authentication, these spoofed emails are ended up in the spam folder at the receiving end..
By any chance, can u reach any of your contacts who already received spams from you? and take the email header from that receiver???

Anyone have any ideas on what is causing the corruption and how to prevent it?
BTW, if I re-copy/paste the corrupted section from the source file, it appears correct...for awhile...and, then, later, I'll notice that it has become "corrupted" again.  I have *not* compared various corrupted sections
to see if the corruption texts are identical each time.
    Michael

    Thanks for the reply, Melon.
I disabled the only 2 Add-ins that were present - [COM Add-Ins > Sharing Add-in for Microsoft Lync 2010] and [Actions > Instant Messaging Contcts (English)].
This did not fix the issue.  After they were disabled (and they currently still are), I copied back un-corrupted text from my good source file and the text at the end of the document has become corrupted again.  Except for the ][Languages] section,
which is much further up in the document, the corruption seems to be consistenly near the end of the document.
I tried to highlight some of the corrupted text and change font, as suggested, and the text just becomes corrupted text in the new font.  :-)
I notice that, if I start selecting text (starting from a paragraph mark above the corrupted text - I always keep hidden formatting symbols turned on), as I "arrow down", the "selection" includes lines in blocks lower down -- that is, the corrupted text is
    repeated down the page.
Since this may not make sense, I'd be glad to upload samples of the good, original, source text and the corrupted "versiion" of it.
I still need to test the file on one of my computers at home.
    Thanks.
    Michael

  • MS Office Professional Plus 2010 cannot verify the license (in use for more than a year)

After more than a year of use, I now receive the following error message for all Office Applications ....
"Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 cannot verify the license for this product. You should repair the Office program by using the Control Panel." When I Click the OK button, the application is terminated.
I tried using the Control Panel to repair Office, and I have tried to re-install Office. I still get the same message. Note, during repair or installation, my Product ID key is accepted.

It is working. If you have 64bit machine please type cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14 --> cscript
    ospp.vbs /act
    Thank you

  • Office Professional Plus 2010 - Fails to Install - Error 25004 - "System error: -1073418209" - Microsoft Key Management Server

I am receiving an error when attempting to install a site license copy of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010. The enterprise environment that I am in is using a Microsoft Key Management Server for the authentication of all Office 2010 and Windows 7
installations. The error that I receive at the end of the installation is: "Error 25004. The product key you entered cannot be used on this machine. This is most likely due to previous Office 2010 trials being installed. (System error: -1073418209)".
I have never installed a trial of Office 2010, nor did I ever install the beta of Office 2010. I do have a copy of Microsoft Office Projects 2010 installed. Before attempting to install Office 2010, I had Office 2007 installed. I used the Upgrade option
to install 2010, instead of removing 2007 (which apparently I should have done instead) first. I have tried using the Microsoft FixIt tool to remove both Office 2007 AND Office 2010. Neither of those tools has fixed my problem. Office 2010 also does not show
up in my Add/Remove Programs list.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I do not have time to reformat until after the Holiday seasons, and need to have Office working!

    Hi,
The full error text is as follows: Error 25004: The product key you entered cannot be used on this machine.
This is most likely due to previous Office 2010 trials being installed. (System error: 1073422308)
The key you are currently trying to install with, is an Office Professional Plus Trial key. A machine will allow one Professional Plus Trial key installed on it ever. Meaning you can
install a trial on a machine, used it for some time, uninstall Office. When you go back to the Microsoft website and get a new key, the second installation will be rejected with the above error message.
If this is not the situation, try to completely uninstall all the versions of the Office programs from control panel, and then use the suggestions in this KB
    article to uninstall it:
How do I uninstall Office 2003, Office 2007 or Office 2010 suites if I cannot uninstall it from Control Panel?
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Then, reinstall the Office 2010 program.
    Best Regards,
    Sally Tang

    Ok, so, assuming that the pkey you entered for Office KMShostpack, ends in "78629", now you just need to follow the rest of the instructions on the link above;
    1. cscript slmgr.vbs /dti bfe7a195-4f8f-4f0b-a622-cf13c7d16864
[to obtain your Installation ID, although that is displayed in the output from above]
    2. slui.exe 4, and then call the telephone number displayed
[close the SLUI window, you don't need it anymore, and, ignore the Installation ID displayed in SLUI, it's for Windows, not Office]
[navigate the telephone prompts to choose Windows/Office activation]
3.At each prompt, enter a group of six numbers. This is the installation ID for Office 2010 that you obtained in Step 1
[get ready to record the response, the ATS doesn't give you much time]
4.When you hear the response, write down the numbers.
[I prefer to type them into Notepad, since I can type faster than I can write legibly]
5.Run cscript slmgr.vbs /atp xxxxxxxxxxxx bfe7a195-4f8f-4f0b-a622-cf13c7d16864, where xxxxxxxxxxxx is the confirmation ID that you receive by telephone
(there should be 48 numbers, no spaces nor dashes).
6.You should see a message that the confirmation ID was successfully deposited.

  • Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 VBA error

This question has been asked many times and I have yet to find an answer that actually works.  I am running Windows 7 Professional with Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010.  It has been working perfectly until now.  When I start Word I
get the error "Microsoft Access 2010 requires Visual Basic for Applications.  If you continue, Visual Basic will be installed."  This then starts a series of uneventful installations one after the other until finally stopped and then an
error report with instructions opens and talks about macro security settings.  This only happens when opening Word - not any other Microsoft Office programs.  By the way, changing those security settings did not work.
I have tried all "fixes" offered and nothing has worked including registry changes and even Microsoft's Fixit.  What am I missing?

    Hi,
I'm not quite sure what you have already tried. I would suggest you try to launch Word 2010 in
safe mode and see if issue persists:
Press Win + R and type "winword.exe /safe" in the blank box, then press
    Enter.
Some have reported that it was caused by some third party add-ins and disabling all the add-ins fixed the issue. Please have a try and feel free to post back with any findings.

It's recommended to download and install
Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office
    programs.

Office Pro+ 2013 is installed and activated with appropriate MAK. Every few days or so a handful of RDS users are requested to activate the Office they are using during their sessions.

I use Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010, when clicking a link in Outlook I always get a box stating
General Failure. The URL was "http:// etc etc".The system cannot find the file specified.
Yet it still goes to the specified page. Any ideas on how to resolve this

I am having the exact same problem with Windows 7 Professional. Out of the blue, this issue just started a few months ago when running my monthly Windows Backup where I have used a USB drive for the last 3 years, and never ever had this issue before. Most
of the solutions listed on the Microsoft websites and answers deal with
    "Restore" functions, not the
"Backup" itself. I have 3 folders being skipped during the backup.
So I went and changed the Backup from "let Microsoft choose files, directories, etc" to "Let me choose". I included the files and folders that were being skipped, and ran the "Backup" again, and got the same error message,
but the files that were skipped the first time were "Backed up" finally. This issue is somehow related to my "Libraries"?
    The 3 backup problems are:
Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\My Audio Books\Audio Book Recordings. Error:(The system cannot find the path specified. (0x80070003))
Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\My Audio Books\Audio Book CD Label-Cover Art. Error:(The system cannot find the path specified. (0x80070003))
Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\My Audio Books\Audio Book MP3 Tag Art. Error:(The system cannot find the path specified. (0x80070003))
Did a "checkdisk" - no problems. Ran a program to fix registry - no problems. All updates up to date. I guess I could eliminate these folders from the Backup folders in the
Library, and just choose them under the "Users" locations, and be done with it. But I really want to understand this, and fix it. This is within Windows 7 and may be related to Windows Media Player or
    some recent Windows update.  Thanks.

  • Locating the Product Key office professional plus 2010

A few years ago, I purchased MS Office Professional Plus 2010 32 bit, through a military member purchase program. I filed the disc away, in it's original, cardboard sleeve packaging, without opening it. Now, I have a new computer and want to install. However,
I can't find the Product Key. Help!

You can obtain a new product key by contacting North America Customer Service (NACS) at (800) 936-5700. A new key can be generated only
if you have retail copy of the software (DVD) or downloaded version through Digital River or Microsoft Store.
Note There may be a charge to obtain a new product key from Microsoft ACS. When you contact ACS for a new product key,
make sure that you have the following items available:
The product CD or DVD, if the product came on disc
The computer on which you want to install the product
The readable parts of your original product key, if this information is available
The "inner circle" number on the product disc, as shown in the following graphic

unter den News von SAP Business One ist mit Datum 11.11.2010 folgender Eintrag zu sehen
SAP Business One 2007 and 8.8 now support Microsoft® Office 2010.
Microsoft Office 2010 is now fully supported by SAP Business One 2007 A SP01 (as of patch 13 ), SAP Business One 2007 B (as of patch 22), and SAP Business One 8.8 (as of patch 17 ), including SAP-developed Add-Ons.

  • Microsoft Office Pro plus 2013 installation wizard pops up everytime I open a Word document or a new page.

Microsoft Office Pro plus 2013 installation wizard pops up everytime I open a Word document or a new page.  I realize that other people have the same problem.  However no answer has been found to stop this problem.  I wonder if there is a
way.  Hope someone is able to tell me and the others.

    Hi,
By the installation wizard, do you mean the First Run screen? If yes, please follow the steps below to disable it:
STEP ONE: If you have not already, download the Office 2013 Administrative Template files. These can be downloaded from
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35554
STEP TWO: Copy the ADMX files to %systemroot%\PolicyDefinitions and the ADML files to the language specific folder (such as en-us) under %systemroot%\PolicyDefinitions.
STEP THREE: Using the Group Policy Management Editor go to User Configuration | Administrative Templates | Microsoft Office 2013 | First Run |
STEP FOUR: Set the Disable First Run Movie to Enabled and the Disable Office First Run on application boot to Enabled
    Please check the result then.

using a valid copy of the installation package'Office64WW.msi'."
-Please help me with this. Thanks!

    Hello!
I've tried to install Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 but when it finished the installation, this error message appeared:
Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 encountered an error during setup.
So, could you still open Office application even user get the error message?
If you deploy Office suite by deployment tool or system center and meet the sync timeout issue, try to copy the installaion source to the local drive and reinstall it again.
In addition, I think the link DushYant provided is also helpfule to you. Please check that. Thanks.

  • Process msiexec.exe initiated Server restart due to complete/configure MS Office Pro Plus 2013

Hello once again, today we had a strange issue. It appears that a plugin for Office Pro Plus 2013 or indeed Office itself initiated a restart of the Remote Desktop Server it was installed on. This is obviously not an ideal situation as it ends up terminating
sessions of all users that are connected to the server.
This is the text from the Event Log:
The process msiexec.exe has initiated the restart of computer XXXXXXXXX on behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for the following reason: No title for this reason could be found
    Reason Code: 0x80030002
    Shutdown Type: restart
Comment: The Windows Installer initiated a system restart to complete or continue the configuration of 'Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013'.
The Event ID is 1074 / Source is User32 /
Is there a way to prevent this happening in future.

    Hello Dave,
I started having the same issue on our Remote Desktop Server, Windows 2008 R2 with Office Pro Plus 2013 connecting to O365 mailboxes.  The server has been set up for months and only started this behaviour.  When I trawled through the logs and found
the entry you list I also checked the application log at the same time.  In the Application log I found an entry with source MsiInstaller and event id 11728 detailing that an install was in progress.  I could see on the Geenral TAB of this entry
that a single user had initiated this install.  It should be noted that the user was not an Administrator, however they were new.  When I logged on as the user and opened outlook it did come up with a window saying it was completing the install and
asked them to reboot.  It does this every time you open outlook unless you open it in safemode.
I tried a number of things to fix it:
    1. Disable add-ins. (No effect)
    2. Reset outlook profile. (No Effect)
    3. Deleted user profile from the Remote Desktop Server, renamed the relevant profile in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList" and renamed the folder in "c:\users". (No effect)
My next step was going to be to delete the users profile completely.  Before I did that I created a new test user and logged on to see if it was affecting all new users.  I logged on with the user and it did not have a problem.
Strangely now when I log on as the original user having the issue the problem is gone.
I will monitor the situation, but at the moment it is fixed.
    Tony

  • Artifact for Office Picture Manager after install of Office Pro Plus 2013

Upgrading from Office 2003 to Office 2013, with the assumption that the Office 2013 install first removes all previous versions before installing.
For some users, running Windows 7, with Microsoft Office 2003 SP3 and the 2007 compatibility pack installed, after the Office 2013 Pro Plus installer runs, whenever an Office 2013 Access application is launched the user gets a message box  as shown
below.  None of our Access VBA have Office Picture Manager in the reference list, so it should not be an issue caused by any Access applications.
Since the Office Picture Manager is no longer part of Microsoft Office as of Office 2013, this is a problem.  Several workarounds have been posted on several blogs on the Internet for installing Office Picture Manager from an earlier version on a computer
with Office 2013 installed to eliminate the error, which of course assumes that it is desireable to have Office Picture Manager.
My position is that there should be a fix for the orphaned artifacts calling for Office Picture Manager when launching Office 2013 MS Access, that does not involve the installation of a deprecated product.  Multiple searches of TechNet come up empty
    in that regard.
Is there a fix for this issue forthcoming, or does anyone have an answer that does not involve installing a backrevved Office Picture Manager just to make the error message shut up?
Clean install of the OS is not to be considered a solution.  There are too many computers involved to even consider that to be acceptable.  I would rather have a registry cleanup script that could be pushed through GPO than to have to go to each
computer and run a FixIt, so please try not to push the FixIt option either...
    Thanks!

Always, the in-place upgrade doesn't remove all traces of Office 2003 from your computer, and this will cause unexpected issues for the new Office.
Actually, instead of doing a in-place upgrade, you can perform an
uninstall-upgrade to Office 2013. When uninstall the old version of Office 2003, you can make sure to remove any traces, and then install the new Office 2013.
For how to do an uninstall-upgrade, you can refer to this blog post:
