Officejet 100 (I am going to drop kick it)

I'm not necessarily sure if it is specifically a networking issue, but I have deduced it's in SOME FASHION probably related. I have a macbook pro, but I've never had an issue with this lil guy before. I'm printing off articles from adobe (which probably could use 12093812083 updates, but i updated it last month so I'm pretty sure its still good), and randomly after one page the power light, continue light, bluetooth light, right cartridge light, and left cartidge light are Blinking incessently.
Initial thought was the ink cartridges, which seemed very unlikely, but when opened the lid and shut it, nothing. The only way to get it to stop is to remove the battery, which I then did. When I reattach it and reconnected it, after a lil bit of "uhmmmmm what?" (it paired as if it was the first time), I checked the supplies; totally fine.  So resumed printing, and after an extended pause, I was able to get 1 other page before it resumed its stupid blinking!
So removed and connected the battery again, and this time focues on the connection. Turned off all my bluetooth devices in my apartment, which is exactly 2, and opened the printer utility guy who was of no help whatsoever. Ran the test page and just got test writing and colorblocks, all perfectly fine. Now, I have my computer RIGHT NEXT to the printer guy, since he's being sensitive and all, and during my short lil exploration of what's going on, it's been needing to reconnect an awful lot (more than necessary for a bluetooth device). which is kind of why i believe this might have something to do with networking. moving on....
its saying its got a good connection, I resume printing the article (maybe it just hates this article? haven't tried that). I get about 3 pages. andddddddd were back to blinking. As I wrote this almost unnecessarily long query, the printer made noises similar to those when its finished a printing job. The blinking is still going strong.
Make it stop please.
Again, I've never had a problem before and everything else is fine. its just giving me attitude and I dont appreciate it.

  • MacBook Pro dropping bluetooth connection with HP Officejet 100

I've recently started developing problems with my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.7.4) maintaining a bluetooth connection with my HP Officejet 100 Mobile Printer.
The problem I'm seeing is that when I send something to the printer, everything starts out okay, but then after about 10 seconds, the bluetooth icon in my status bar indicates that it is no longer connected.     The printer pauses for a minute or so and then spits out the half-printed page.
Anybody else seeing this?   Any suggestions on how to fix?

I have a similar issue, albeit a different bluetooth printer from yours.
According to a review on CNET's website, the dropping of bluetooth connections seems to have been introduced in the 10.7.4 update and did not exist in the 10.7.3 version of the Mac OS X Lion software.

We use HP OfficeJet 100 mobile printers and have a printing issue. When we print the printer acts as if it is going to print and then prints one blank page.Printer will not print even though it is showing as default printer.Printer will just stop printing in the middle of a document, even in the middle of printing out a page. We are printing via the USB cableWe are using Windows 8.1We are connecting to laptopsWe have been using the HP mobile range of printers since 2004 and have only experienced these issues since we moved the laptops onto Windows 8/8.1 We have:Uninstalled and reinstalled the printer drivers – this fixed this issue for a short while and then it reappeared againCalled HP support and they directed us to the driver support page which had the latest print drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers with them on the phone. This initially fixed the problem and then it returned a few days laterAfter trawling the support forums found directions to change the print processor to “WinPrint” – No effect as the processor was already on this settingDownloaded the HP diagnostic tool – HP Print and Scan Doctor – didn’t fix anything Any further help would be much appreciated.

Hello there Lawrence, Welcome to the Forums! I hope you enjoy your experience
I noticed your post about the troubles you are running into when you attempt to install your OJ 6100 printer on your Windows 8.1 laptop. I read all of your attempts and seen you have tried several methods to try and get the installation to complete successfully.
I would like to make some suggestions that may help. Let me know how it goes!
    1. Check that Internet Explorer pop-up blockers are turned off before downloading the installer
Internet Explorer Pop-up Blocker: How do I turn off Pop-up Blocker?
    Try to install
    2. If you're running McAfee Live Safe or any other firewall, please temporarily disable the "real time scanning".
    How to disable realtime scans
    Try the install
    3. Go to the start screen (you may also press the windows key + R to open the run box) and type %WINDIR% this should show the windows folder.
Click on the folder and scroll until you see files. Look for a filed named "HPWINS*.DAT" (the * is for a number that varies) remove this file and try the installation.
    Try the install

    Hi Chuck,
HP ePrint Home & Biz only provide print capabilities over wired or wireless (802.11) network connection, Bluetooth connection is not supported as well the specific model is not supported by the app.
Can I print from the HP ePrint mobile app using USB or Bluetooth?
No. You can only print directly to supported HP printers on a local wireless network.

  • How can i print to my officejet 100 mobile printer from an android device over bluetooth?

I'm stumped here. I've installed the printer on my Windows PC. I'm able to pair with it (Bluetooth) from my Android tablet (Galaxy 10.1"). I've tried using a variety of printing programs from the Android Marketplace, but I can't get anything to print.
When I try with PrinterShare, it asks me to select the printer. When I select the OfficeJet 100, I'm told that the application can't find a driver for the printer.
Note to HP: You definitely need to improve the documentation on this printer. The docs that came with my printer make no mention of Android, and finding anything useful online is practically impossible. Very disappointing.

  • Pairing a Mac (OS 10.9) with an HP OFficejet 100 mobile printer

    Hello,
I am running a MacBook Pro with OS 10.9.  I have been successfully using an HP Officejet 100 mobile printer via bluetooth connection until just a few hours ago.  Now, the Mac will not pair with the printer.  When I click the apple logo, go to system preferences, select printer, it will not find the printer.  Nothing has been uninstalled that I am aware.  Can someone please advise me on what to do?  I have powered off both devices and then powered on without success.

    Hi 4stix,
thanks for your suggestions! I managed to pair the printer with my MacBook Pro again by using the security code "000000". Before I never had used the security code. But I still couldn't add the printer to the system preference panel "Printers & Scanners". It simply wouldn't appear in the "Add" window.
Just to make sure it wasn't a Bluetooth issue, I successfully reset the Bluetooth security following your steps. I could pair the printer again, but still I cannot add it as a printer in the Mac OS X system preferences.
When I open the "HP Utility.app" the printer appears there and I can get every kind of status report. I can even print the test page using the button "Print Test Page".
Seems like a Mac OS X Mavericks issue to me. What do you think?
    Edit: To answer your questions:
Did you happen to run any APPLE updates recently? Or between the time that you were/were not able to print? -- Yes, after the last successful printing I installed: iBooks Update, RAW Compatibility Update for Digital Cameras, iTunes, Mail Update for Mavericks. It would be really strange if one of them broke the printer service.
Did you encounter any security or other messaging popup? -- No

  • Officejet 100 wont print color

    Hi all,
I've been operating my printer with just the black ink in it for a while by preference, and now that i have returned the tri-color to its slot in the printer, the printer will not print color.
When I try to use utilities it says "previously used cartridge installed:  Tri-color"
when I try to print a test page that includes color, it does not print the color
when I try to calibrate the color, it says that "the calibrate color procedure is only available when both the Tri-Color Print Cartridge and the Photo Print Cartridge are installed."
Anyone know what to do?  I don't want to buy a new Tri-Color Cartridge if I don't have to because I will be needing to print with only the black cartridge again after this print job.
    thanks

  • MacBook Pro bluetooth cannot see Officejet 100

According to HP instructions, when I attempt to add a printer (via System Preferences), I should select the HP Officejet 100 "with Bluetooth beside its name."  It does not show up.  If I ask bluetooth to find a device, the printer doesn't show up.  I bought this model specifically for the ability to print via bluetooth and it will not work.  Suggestions?  I'm using a MacBook Pro 15" 2011 model, OS 10.7.4 (and yes, I downloaded the drivers and software from HP per the instructions - I did not use the CD provided with the printer).

Did you pair the printer with the computer?
To do so, perform the following steps:
    1. Click the Bluetooth icon in the main toolbar, and then click Set Up Bluetooth Device.
    2. Click your printer. The computer will display a random code while it attempts to connect to the printer.
    3. Click Passcode Options.
For Mac OS X 10.6, click Continue to attempt the connection. The connection attempt fails, but this is normal. Click Passcode Options .
    4. Click Do not use a passcode with this device, and then follow the on-screen instructions to pair the device.
If I have been helpful or if you’d like to say thanks you can click the white star under my name to give me Kudos.  I really appreciate it!
