Officejet 4630 won't print any files

officejet 4630 has been installed correctly and is able to print test pages and also scan documents correctly. When I try to print a word file, pdf or anything else an error message keeps coming up in the printing status and won't allow me to print anything. I was having issues with previous printers not allowing me to print correctly either but i'm not sure whats wrong!
please help!

I understand that you are experiencing a problem when printing certain types of documents.
I would like to help you with this.
To check on the HP software, try running the Print and Scan Doctor.
In case it is a Windows problem, try the Microsoft Fix it Solution Center.
Hopefully these tools will fix the issue.

HP Officejet 4630 won't print at all

Today my brand new HP Officejet 4630 just decided to call it quits on me. After printing about 5 pages without any hassle, when I went to print a document, it simply would not print. What has happened is that the printer itself will say "now printing..." with the loading bar but nothing will actually print. When I check on my Macbook Pro about the status of my printing documents, it will say "Printing, Starting on Page XX" with the loading bar a quarter full. I checked the printer for any paper clogs or anything but I have yet to find any such issue within the computer. The printer has brand new ink, it is loaded with paper (but not too much), and has never had any issues until now. Unless if I manually cancel the printing job, it will presumably keep saying "Now printing..." without anything happening. I've tried to actually print a document from the "samples" provided from the HP Officejet 4630, like a crossword puzzle, and even that would not print, and would just say "Now printing..". I have no idea what to do nor do I know what is wrong with it. I haven't seen any error codes or notifications yet, and the printer is literally not even a couple of months old with very minimal usage. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated!

Hello , Welcome to the HP Community, I hope you have a pleasant experience with us. I'd like to help you with the freezing that you are experiencing on your HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One printer. This may sound a little ridiculous, but do you have the printer plugged directly into a wall outlet? The reason I suggest doing this, is because the printer has a power moderator built in. It possible that if it is plugged into a secondary power-moderating device (such as a power surge bar, or battery backup), that it is unable to pull enough power to print, and that may be why it is getting stuck. If that doesn't immediately resolve the issue, I'd recommend downloading and running the most recent firmware update for your printer here - HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer series Firmware Update I'm also curious if you're able to make a copy on the printer itself? The hang up with the apps could possibly be a network connection issue (as could the wireless printing on the mac), so it's possible that it's not a hardware issue at all. Officejet 4630 won't print multiple page document

Installation was a piece of cake - but I've found that when I try to print more than 2 pages, I receive a printing error. There's no explanation as to what the error might be. I've run the HP doctor and it said that errors were fixed. When I tried to print again, I received the same error. This is very frustrating. Please help. This is a brand new printer.

Hi Although I am not sure what the error is, or what is causing it, I have a few things we can do to try to resolve the issue. First I suggest using the following steps to delete the printer from device and printers, and the driver from the server properties. 1. In the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder2. Choose ‘Print server properties’.Win XP – With no printer selected, click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.Windows Vista – With no printer selected, press ‘Alt’ then click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.Windows 7/8 and 8.1 – Select any printer in the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder and click ‘Print Server properties’ above.3. Click on the ‘Drivers’ tab at the top of ‘Print server properties’ window4. Choose the printer you want to uninstall and click ‘Remove’5. Choose 'Remove driver only'6. The next screen will give a warning, letting you know that deleting the driver package will remove it from the system. Click ‘Yes’ to say that you are sure you want to do this. If documents are stuck in the print spooler, you may see an error, cancel any documents pending in the print queue, or try restarting the print spooler, then try to remove the driver from ‘Print server properties’ again. If it still won’t remove the package, restarting the computer and the printer should resolve this ‘in use’ error and allow the driver to be removed. If the you continue to get an 'in use' message follow the steps in the document here; The Specified Printer Driver is Currently in Use
After the driver is removed, open Start > All Programs > HP folder > Printer folder > HP Setup and Software (or the printer icon).
The Setup and software screen will open and you can click on Connect a new printer.

HP officejet 4630 won't print on both sides of paper

Cannot print on both sides of paper. The backsideprints first, then wait for ink to dry, front side starts to print then stops with a windows error message popping up on screen saying cannot print document.
I have found that I cannot print multiple pages either. For example, I decided to print the 4 page document as single pages only (since double sided wouldn't work) and the results were first page prints second page prints about a third and then all stop with error message that printer cannot print the pdf document. so I had to select each page seperately to finnally get all four pages printed. HP print and scan diagnostics says theres is no problem. Windows diagnostics says there is no problem.
Obviously there is a problem can any one offer advice and solution?

Could you please check to Duplexer unit seem installed on printer properties and in the printing preferences section is it selected to print on both side.
If its not seem installed, adjust to it installed and try again.

My Officejet 7410 won't print documents

My Officejet 7410 won't print any files. The HP downloadable troubleshooting utility found nothing wrong with my printer. I've deleted this printer from Windows XP. I've then shut down my computer and printer, restarted the computer, and then reinstalled my printer.
I can print a test page just fine. I can scan a document and save it. But I can't print from Word, WordPad, NotePad, or any document through my browser, which is Google Chrome.
The printer was working perfectly yesterday. Any ideas on what is going on?
I'm pretty desperate, I need to be able to print for my job, and by tomorrow morning I'm going to need to print again, so the clock is definitely ticking.
UPDATE: I removed the printer(s) from my printer list, completely uninstalled the software, and downloaded new software and reinstalled the printer. Now it prints and scans.

The pictwpstops filter on OS X machines, converts the job to straight Postscript before the normal CUPS filters get it.
If the Adobe APPs have a choice of what kind of PS to send, like Binary or ASCII, try toggling that setting to the opposite of what it is.
Though, if a reboot fixed it then likely the problem was a remporary bit flip, which may or may not happen again.

HP Laserjet P2055dn won't print pdf files

I have just hooked up a new iMac with Mac OS 10.9.5 and now my reliable HP Laserjet P2055dn won't print .pdf files anymore--it just hangs for hours. I am an academic and work 50% with pdf's. I tried to download a new driver from the HP site for all MAC OS systems 10.7 and up, but the message when the download was finished opened up in a little box that reads: "ljp2055_Firmware_Upd Image not recognised."
I've unplugged, plugged back in, turned off, turned back on countless times. Don't know what else to try?

Photoshop CC 2014 won't open any files, not even create new ones

I have a freshly installed version of Photoshop CC 2014 and it just won't open any single file no matter what I do. I also have Illustrator CC 2014 installed for the past week, and it is behaving fine, and even opening up the files that Photoshop won't open (jpg, psd, png, etc.).
I've tried uninstalling completely, and reinstalling it, and it still won't open any files. Basically, nothing happens after I click the "Open" button from the Open File dialog window.

Has anyone else experienced this or can give information on how to resolve it?

Well, I finally got it to work through trial and error. Here were the steps that I used to get it to work:
1) Make sure that you are not behind any firewall/VPN/etc, just a direct connection to the internet (if possible). I use Adobe for my work laptop, and I was informed that this could potentially be an issue during installation processes.
2) Uninstall Photoshop via the Creative Cloud application interface.
3) Right-click on the Creative Cloud icon from the system tray and "Quit" (it was automatically started for me from a previous bootup)
4) Right-click on the Creative Cloud desktop icon and choose "Run As Administrator"
5) Re-install Photoshop
After performing the above steps, I can now open any png/jpg/gif/etc file, as well as start a new file. I have no clue why it works or if my steps played any role in fixing it, but I thought it was worth sharing for others to try if they encounter a similar issue. It could be either the firewall I was behind, or the permissions (I don't think Creative Cloud boots up running as administrator). But I am in no position to say I know the exact resolution. I have Photoshop elements 8 for my windows 7 laptop. I updated my laptop and now Photoshop won't open any files. I click on the psd/jpeg/png that i want to open(file,open) and nothing appears in the editor. even if i try by double clicking it the editor will show up but no file.i have tried restarting the laptop but it still wont work. I can't uninstall photoshop because it came pre-installed on my laptop and no disc or installer came with it. If anyone can please help me i'd be very gratefull.

Quit the editor, then restart it while holding down Ctrl+alt+shift. Keep those keys down till you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do.

Dreamweaver CS5 won't open any files from a project

Hi,
I'm working on a simple website. I work on it from 2 different locations (home and work), and the files are stored on a removable USB disk. The problem is that for some reason Dreamweaver won't open any files made on the other computer. It shows the sitemap, eveything. But when I click on a file, nothing happens.
I've tried a couple of things:
1. recreate the site in the site manager - still the same problem
2. remove the preference folder - still the same problem
The only solution is that I have to copy the files to my desktop, recreate the website in the sitemanager and then it works. But only if I copy the files to my desktop, any other location on my HD (not the removable USB disk) simply doesn't work.
Does anybody know why this happens? Or even better, does anybody have a tip of how to workaround this problem?

The D600 was first supported in Camera Raw 7.3 which is only compatible with CS6 and later - not CS5 unfortunately.

Help! PS won't open any files!

Well i did a system restore and now PS won't open any file, it was working FINE before i did the system restore, I have flash and dreamweaver also installed and they're working fine!
I open PS everythings fine, but when i try to open ANY file i get this error
- adobe photoshop cs3 extended photoshop.exe - fatal application exit
the specified module could not be found C:\program files\common files\adobe\adobe version cue cs3\client\3.10\versioncueui.dll
Then when i clicked "Ok" got this error
the instruction at "0x5ad71531" refrenced at memory at "0x00000014". The memory could not be read.
I don't know what to do anymore, i've reeinstalled it again probably 15 times by now and it still doesn't work.
I did something i found on google and i deleted this folder C:\program files\common files\adobe\adobe version cue cs3\
But it still doesn't works!
I really need help! I've had this problem for about a week and haven't found yet a solution!
Please help!

Sorry to hear you are having this issue today.
Does this happen on all files or a specific file?
If this is happening on a specific file, it is most likely that file.
If this is happening on all files, I would check to see if this is happening in other users accounts as well. If you dont have other users, create one and see if preview works inside that new user account.

please help! i'm about to have a baby and i just got all this stuff to record video of him and stuff like that. well, i tried out my imovie software and it won't import any files at all! i have .avi files from other sources and anytime i try to import them into imovie it unexpectedly crashes!! what do i do?!

My All-In-One 6500A Plus won't print any color from Internet Explorer (v8.0).

My All-In-One 6500A Plus won't print any color from IE (v8.0). I can print all colors from Word, PDF documents, photos, etc. - but not from ANY web page. At first it only printed Magenta ink, now it acts as if it's printing (feeds the paper, moves the print heads across the page and sounds like it's printing) but the paper comes out blank every time. If I change the print options to print grayscale and only use black ink, I can get a black only image of the web site.
As I said, ALL OTHER APPLICATIONS PRINT FINE. ONLY WEB PAGES WON'T PRINT, so please don't tell me it's the ink cartridges. ;-)

Fourteen views and no answers in two-and-a-half days!!
I guess it's time for me to change printer brands. It will be a long time before I get an HP anything again!

HP Officejet 4630 Will Not Print, despite empty spool

I can not get my printer to print from my laptop, nor my desktop. The print job goes to the printing que and shows it "printing", then "0" documents left to print. Where is it printing? Not at my printer, that's for sure! I have uninstalled the printers (in the 'printers and devices') and reinstalled via usb. I have rebooted the printer (unplugged, waited, plugged back in), rebooted my computers, and rebooted the network. I can not print from the network, nor via usb. I ran the troublshooting printer wizard, still nothing. I'm still running Windows 8.1. Help? -Lyons

Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand that your HP Officejet 4630, will not print wireless to your laptop. I am happy to help you with this wireless issue! I have some questions for you:
What Operating System are you using? Windows or Mac? What version?
Is the power cable plugged into a surge protector or directly to the wall outlet? Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.
Is your printer's firmware up-to-date? Getting the Latest Firmware and Printer Updates.
In the meantime, try printing a Network Configuration Page. Printing a Network Configuration Page. Look for an IP Address, place it into a browser's address bar, and see if it can bring up the Embedded Web Server.
Also if you are using Windows, please try our HP Print and Scan Doctor, and let me know what happens.
