Officejet 8610 Will Not Print Wirelessly

I have a new 8610 and new computer with Windows 8.1. The printer is generally turned off and on another floor of the house from where my computer is. In the past, I could send a job to print, go downstairs, turn on the computer and the jobs would print. This is not the case with the new equipment. I see the documents in queue on the computer but they do not print when I turn on the printer.
I specifically remember putting in the password for the wireless router when setting up the printer. What can I do?

I see you're running into connectivity issues. I would like to help!
I would recommend performing a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.

I understand your Officejet 4622 will not print wireless. I will do my best to assist you! First, I would like to ask you a couple of questions to clarify: When you installed this printer on your computer, were you able to print a document? Did the installation state it had a successful wireless connection?

What is your operating system on your computer? Windows or Mac?

HP Officejet 4630 Will Not Print, despite empty spool

I can not get my printer to print from my laptop, nor my desktop. The print job goes to the printing que and shows it "printing", then "0" documents left to print. Where is it printing? Not at my printer, that's for sure! I have uninstalled the printers (in the 'printers and devices') and reinstalled via usb. I have rebooted the printer (unplugged, waited, plugged back in), rebooted my computers, and rebooted the network. I can not print from the network, nor via usb. I ran the troublshooting printer wizard, still nothing. I'm still running Windows 8.1. Help? -Lyons

Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand that your HP Officejet 4630, will not print wireless to your laptop. I am happy to help you with this wireless issue! I have some questions for you:
What Operating System are you using? Windows or Mac? What version?
Is the power cable plugged into a surge protector or directly to the wall outlet? Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.
Is your printer's firmware up-to-date? Getting the Latest Firmware and Printer Updates.
In the meantime, try printing a Network Configuration Page. Printing a Network Configuration Page. Look for an IP Address, place it into a browser's address bar, and see if it can bring up the Embedded Web Server.
Also if you are using Windows, please try our HP Print and Scan Doctor, and let me know what happens.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Will Not Print Wirelessly

Hi. I have read other threads on this forum with suggested fixes from HP employees and tried them. I have run the tool which found no errors. My firewall is off. I have installed the latest Adobe and uninstalled then reinstalled the printer software. I have followed instructions in book re: turning off computer, router, printer, etc. I can see the IP address for the printer in IE.
Still, this brand new printer will not print wirelessly or otherwise from my hp laptop. VERY frustrating. I have spent hours trying work arounds for a brand new computer. I would greatly appreciate a response regarding how to resolve this problem. Thank you.

I have seen cases where a troubled install went through flawlessly after the computer was reimaged. That may be an option to consider.
I did want to make sure that you had the most current firmware version and it looks like you do.
Before a reimage, you could uninstall Officejet Pro 8600 programs (if there are any) and download and install the drivers for your printer from hp.com. Click here for the HP Officejet Pro Full Feature Software and Driver. By doing this, you would have the most up-to-date drivers. Sometimes a download will work where a disk does not. It you do decide to reimage, I highly recommend the above download for the installation.

My Canon MX922 will not print wireless or wired.

My CANON MX922 printer will not print wireless or wired. I used suggestions in Community such as "MX922 not connecting wirelessly, 7-6-15, post 1362, 10-17-15". (No solution). I worked with a great rep., by phone,for one hour. (No solution). My MG6220 has worked wirelessly, for two years, on the same Lenovo computer with Windows 7. I tried that and the computer still can not recognize the printer. I used the CD that came with it to reinstall it and all goes well until the very end when the last window pops up and says it can not find the printer.I went and bought a new printer last night Canon MG5622 since it uses the same ink cartridges and I have a lot of of inkI didn't want to waste. This printer installed easily and works great.Not sure what happened with the other one but perhaps I'll pass it to my sister with the CD and see if it will install onher computer.thank you for your help, you're awesome for trying!Diane

Windows 8.1 and officejet 6110xi - Will not print but scans okay?

Today Jan 5th, 2014 installed Windows 8.1 on my dell desktop.
Now the HP officejet 6110xi will not print.
The scan mode seems to work.
I have tried all of the HP work-a-rounds but no luck!

Is this issue happening on all 4 machine that you have installed the Officejet 8620 on?
Please download and install the HP Print and Scan Doctor and let me know the outcome of each test performed. Please run this on all of the computers the printer is installed on if the issue is occurring.
You will see a wrench, a yellow exclamation mark, a red X, or a check mark next each tested item.

Is the printer connected directly to a wall outlet or a surge protector? (It is best to connect directly to the wall)
Do you have any other HP Printers installed on these computers? If so, do you still have the printer(s)?
Is this an HP laptop or a different brand?

My Macbook Air will not print wirelessly!

My Macbook Air will not print wirelessly using the connection between it and my iMac which is connected via USB to my Canon Printer. The iMac and the Air are both using the same network and the printer is found on the Air... it sits at idle, but when I press "Print" on my Air it never actually prints. There is just a flash of the print icon on the Dock and then it is gone... I am left with no reason or error message. My colleagues are able to print wirelessly with no issue using their Macbook Pro and the same connected iMac. Can anyone help with this?
Macbook Air: OS X 10.8.3
iMac: OS X 10.7.5
Canon Printer: ImageClass MF4370dn

If your printer is wireless-capable, you should first add the printer to your network. Use the printer's control panel, or temporarily connect the printer to your Mac via USB.

HP Office Jet Pro 8610 will not print but will only fax

We have a HP Office Pro Jet 8610 and it worked fine until we hooked it up as a fax machine also on Thursday.
It used to copy, print, scan perfectly but we need a new fax machine so we went out and bought the phone cord and hooked up a fax line and telephone with built in answering to the Office Jet and the fax works , but now it will not print a document from Open Office to the printer because it tries to make a fax cover page.
I have run out of ideas can you please help?

There are two "printer" drivers on there, to print, choose the "Officejet Pro 8610 Printer" instead of the "Officejet Pro 8610 FAX". You probably set the second one as default when the fax function is added, which is for PC fax. If you use the print function more often than fax, make the non-fax one the default printer.

OfficeJet 4500 will not print two sided over network

I'm running on Windows 7 with an OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z over WiFi. Printer works great except that it will not print two sided. We've used a non-WiFi 4500 to print two sided before. With the new printer the first pages print and the pop-up shows on the laptop (prompt to flip paper over) but nothing happens. The second pages never print.
I've run all of the HP print and network diagnostics. Everything appears to be OK.

The solution below was found on the sticky post at the top of this board "Fixes and Workarounds from HP"
I think the patch below only applies if you have the original printer software installed, I assume this issue was fixed in later versions of the printer software, Read the patch information carefully.

Epson xp-312 will not print wireless with 10.9

i am new to the mac so i got a epson xp-312 from our local shop and installed the driver what is the lastest from epson but it will not work wireless and will not find the printer. I have gone to network settings and you can trace it and it will come back saying that the ip address belongs to the epson but when you ping it it comes back 100% fail you can print from a windows pc wireless with no problem please help the driver i have tried is 2.15.1 dated 11th sept 2013 thank you in advance for any help

I am assuming (hoping!) you mean you have installed the Epson iPrint app on one or both of your iPad and/or iPhone, and Epson iPrint does not detect the printer.
If that's true, then Mavericks is definitely not the problem! Neither the iPhone nor iPad (nor Epson iPrint) rely on Mavericks.
Hunt for your printer using Epson iPrint. Make sure your pinter is on, tap "Scan", then tap the gear-like icon in iPrint to hunt for it.

Photosmart 6510e will not print wirelessly to computer

Hi I have a HP Photosmart printer, but it will not print to computer wirelessly, I have run all tests I can think of have ptinted off a wireless net work test report that says everything has passed,, signal quality excelent and so on. but when I try to print from the computer I get a message cannot find computer.
I have also down loaded HP print Doctor and run it it says everthing OK would you like to print a test page? click yes "sendind to printer" same message comes up no connection.

Officejet 4500 will not print from internet.

Printer will only print e-mails, will not print anything from internet. "Unspecified error, Line 2107, Char1, Code0 res://ieframe.dll/preview.js" appears when ever I try to print from internet.

The issue is caused when Windows creates the printer profile in the control panel that it doesn't correctly create it with the drivers.
We're not going to completely uninstall all the HP software, instead we're going to remove the corrupt Windows printer profile and reinstall it. Total time for this on an average computer is about 5-10 minutes to completely repair (including reboot).
1) Navigate to Start Menu > Devices and Printers or Start Menu > Control Panel > Printers
2) Select each printer profile for the printer with an issue, then select remove device/printer.
3) Reboot
4) Navigate to Start Menu > All Programs > HP > insert model # here > Add Printer (or Setup Wizard)
5) Follow the setup prompts to reinstall the printer profile and it recreates the Windows printer.
6) Test by printing google.com (uses very little ink when the test page comes out).

HP Officejet Pro 8610 Will Not Print

I have a new Officejet Pro 8610 which has been working fine but today it would not print. Everyting else still worked, the printer is detected by USB and all of the cleaning/ alignment procedures work from my PC as normal. Scaning a document worked OK as well. I tried to run a test print from the printer list on windows, this didn't work either. So I uninstalled the supplied software and reinstalled it again, still would not print. At this point I installed the software on my old laptop and connected if by USB again and it worked fine, printed straight away. The only difference in the install was when selecting which additional programmes to install, one said it was already installed even though I had unistalled the software before. That programme was the Product Improvement Study which I can't get rid of. Everytime it is still there. Is this causing my problems and how do I get it off my PC as I am unable to find it anywhere to remove it. Any help would be appreciated.

I got it to print from explorer but not chrome .So for some reason it decided to stop printing from chrome all on its on.Not sure how long it ill print from ie but we'll see .thanks for no advice
