Officejet 8620 Web Services Could Not Be Enabled
I can get my Officejet 8620 to connect to the network but it can't connect to the Internet. When I hit the apps button it says "Web Services Could Not Be Enabled". I'm using a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 router. I can find no helpful HP documentation that tells you how to get around this issue other than to wait and try again later if you can't connect. It's been days that I've been trying so I don't think more time is the solution.
Can someone help?
Thanks.
Hello MAIAston,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
A common fix for the error "Web Services Could Not Be Enabled" is to apply a Manual I.P and DNS on the 8620. To apply this to the printer you will first need to print and Network Configuration Page from the printer (Wireless icon>Settings).
Type the I.P address into the Address bar of a web browser and press enter. Click Network>Wireless (802.11)> IPv4 Configuration. Click Manual IP> Suggest a New Manual IP Address. Change the DNS to 209.244.0.3 & 209.244.0.4.
Apply the settings, restart the printer and try again.
Let me know if this worked.

Web Services could not be Enabled (Office Jet 6700 Premium)
Hi,
I've successfully connected my printer the internet via wireless connection. I can print from any computer over wifi. However, I cannot enable web services.
I have tried every troubleshooting method available under the sun.
Eg) Manually setting IP Addres and DNS, Restarting, Resetting to Default, Rebooting Router, updating router etc.
All methods I have tried are also here (http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/ePrint-Print-Apps-Mobile-Printing-and-ePrintCenter/ePrint-Apps-Connecti...
I have read every forum relating to this issue and everyone seems to have had their issue resolved through all one or more of the methods I have already used. I am quite disappointed with having to spend so long getting my product to do what it is meant to do straight out of the box.
Any further guidance would be kindly appreciated,
Kind RegardsHi there, your frustration is understandable. It sounds like you have exhausted all the troubleshooting steps but if you haven't already, try using the manual DNS values in the image below in the printers embedded web server (EWS) settings. If you've already done this and your printer is only new let me know what country you are in and I'll provide you with a direct number for HP phone support as you may be entitled to a replacement.
Best.

Web services - Could not create stubs on some servers
My error is related to web services.
The problem is that on some servers I can consume webservices
and on some other not. The servers have the same configuration - at
least it look like that.
The calling page and the webservice component are in fact
very simple. The source code is at the bottom of the page.
When the web service is not consumed I have a following error
message:
coldfusion.jsp.CompilationFailedException: Errors reported by
Java compiler: Found 5 semantic errors compiling
"/opt/app/coldfusionmx8/stubs/WS941899941/DefaultNamespace/WebserviceCompCfcSoapBindingSt ub.java":

When I took a look to the stubs directory I found that all
java classes are compiled except for:
WebserviceCompCfcSoapBindingStub.java
Just to save your time - I've been trying stuff with the
displayname etc... :-/
If you would like me to supply you more information - please
let me know.
Thanks for any answers.After investigation it turned out that one of the libraries
was using java.rmi.RemoteException.class which was quite old.
Apparently when the servers were starting they were launching
the libraries in different order. So some of them were using old
version of java.rmi.RemoteException.class and the AxisFault.class
that inherited from it couldn't compile. -
Web services (eprint and Apps) could not be enabled
just opened my new HP officejet pro 8600 and trying to enable web service and I received the following error: web services (eprint and Apps) could not be enabled. I have no idea how to debug this issue.
Any help out there?They are the same, however be advised that anything that is pending in the queue will be gone, as well as your current custom email address. You will have to readd the printer with a new info page, and use a different custom email address.

Hi,
I am using EWS Java APIs and passing OAuth tokens to fetch data from office 365 mailboxes.
Because I am developing Web APIs I preferred using "Application Permissions" defined in Azure active directory application for Office 365, and used "client credential flow" OAuth flow to fetch OAuth token specific to application which will
allow "Have full access via EWS to all mailboxes in the organisation".
After fetching token with the procedure specified in the document "http://blogs.msdn.com/b/exchangedev/archive/2015/01/21/building-demon-or-service-apps-with-office-365-mail-calendar-and-contacts-apis-oauth2-client-credential-flow.aspx"
I passed this token to EWS Java APIs,
it gave me error saying:
microsoft.exchange.webservices.data.ServiceResponseException: Exchange Web Services are not currently available for this request because none of the Client Access Servers in the destination site could process the request.
I tried similar thing with EWS managed APIs for .net. Got similar error.
Can anyone provide some help and direction to resolve this error.
Thanks & Best Regards,

12002 The Reporting Web Service is not working.
Hi :)
I have WSUS on Windows Server 2012 std. with Internal Database. Today I've installed 7 updates from patch tuesday and after restart I've got
error 12002 The Reporting Web Service is not working
I can see now that updatet clients can not report their status anymore :(
What's up ? Any suggestion ?
Best regards
NenadHi,
I would start by verifying that the /ReportingWebService resource is properly configured in IIS.
Correct configurations can be found in the WSUS Technical Reference Guide: IIS
Settings for WSUS 3.0 SP2 Web Services.
Also,Under ReportingWebService
Made sure all were set to disabled except for Anonymous Authentication
Anonymous Authentication Enabled
ASP .NET Impersonation Disabled
Basic Authentication Disabled
Forms Authentication Disabled
Windows Authentication Disabled

Processing of a Form when a WEB Service is not available
Has anyone else noticed this or has a work-around suggestion? Note I am very new to this product. Background: We tied a WEB service call to a button on our PDF Form. When the user started the process they filled in the form but did not use the button to access the service to verify the data on the form. When they clicked on Complete it appeared that the process started but it never arrived at the first operation in the workflow. Upon investigation it was found that the workflow never started. It was as if when the workflow engine saw that the WEB Service was offline it threw the request away. When we loaded the form into WorkBench we did get an alert box telling us the server was unavailable and that the WSDL could not be loaded for the Data Connection. As the first user interaction is not coded in the workflow we are not sure how to trap this incident and prevent the user form thinking their process was accepted by LiveCycle for action. Thank you for your help in advance.
Hi Steph
I very much doubt that not calling the web service could have caused any problems directly.
Does the workflow start correctly if you completely remove the web service invocation?
How do you know that the process didn't start?
Is the process long-lived?
Do you have an xfa-form as an input variable of your process?
Have you added the correct Workflow fields to your form, or just a single submit button?

I tried installing ColdFusion 9 and linking apache to the install. Because the Apache binary was 64bit I had to convert it to 32bit to for the ColdFusion install to work. I backed up the 64bit version and made the new 32bit version my httpd file.
After installing coldfusion finished I went to update some sites in Server Admin. When I tried to save changes in sites (removing a site) the list of sites went blank, clicked on settings, then back to sites, and the changes were not saved.
I restarted the entire server. When I came back to Server Admin and tried to "Start Web" i received the following error:
Try to refresh the view (waterengine.local/Web). (Could not start web service - details in error log.) 100002
I've already replaced the httpd file back to the original 64bit version and will now uninstall coldfusion. Is there a way to reinstall the web services? Seems like the most likely resolution.Had to reinstall the server OS because I couldn't find anywhere to do a reinstall of only the Web Service/Apache. I've downloaded the ColdFusion 9 64bit version. hopefully this works or I'll reinstall the OS one more time and give up on running ColdFusion 9 on this system until I can find someone who has done a successful install. This time I'll backup so I don't have to do a 45 minute remote re-install, although I thought that was pretty fast over wifi.

SOAP service could not be loaded: premature end of file
Hi,
I am trying to call some web services using the Web Service action in the logic editor, but I am always getting some errors. For instance, for an online service (e.g. http://webservices.imacination.com/distance/Distance.jws) I am getting:
"SOAP service could not be loaded: Premature end of file."
I've tried 3 different web services that are available out there, and no result. I've laso tried writing it like this:
http://webservices.imacination.com/distance/Distance.jws/ or
http://webservices.imacination.com/distance/Distance.jws?wsdl
, but the result was the same.
I've also tried a web service that's currently deployed on my machine, using Tomcat. Here, I'm getting some slightly different errors:
http://localhost:8080/epcis-repository-0.2.0/capture/
SOAP service could not be loaded: the element type "HR" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</hr>"
http://localhost:8080/epcis-repository-0.2.0/capture or
http://localhost:8080/epcis-repository-0.2.0/capture?wsdl
SOAP service could not be loaded: WSDLEXception (at /html): faultCode=INVALID_WSDL: Expected element 'definitions'.
As a note, this web service that I have deployed locally is also available online (http://demo.accada.org/epcis/capture), and if I try out this one, the error is again:
SOAP service could not be loaded: Premature end of file.
As far as I could tell, the /epcis/capture webservice is document/literal, so I don't think this should be a problem. I have read other posts about people having similar problems, but I could not find the answer to my problem...
Can anyone please help?
Thanks in advance!
AngelaHi,
Thanks a lot, everyone, for your answers! Yes, the firewall and the "rpc/encoded" encoding might explain why the first two web services did not work...
However, it does not explain why the web service installed locally does not work, since it is "document/literal" encoded, as far as I could tell..... And unfortunately, this one is the one that I need to connect to (the others I was only using for testing). Again, this is the error message that I get:
SOAP service could not be loaded: WSDLEXception (at /html): faultCode=INVALID_WSDL: Expected element definitions'.
Parts of the wsdl file are copied bellow, and I can't see anything wrong with it (certainly no <definitions/> missing):
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!-- EPCIS QUERY SERVICE DEFINITIONS -->
<wsdl:definitions xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" xmlns:apachesoap="http://xml.apache.org/xml-soap" xmlns:epcis="urn:epcglobal:epcis:xsd:1" xmlns:epcisq="urn:epcglobal:epcis-query:xsd:1" xmlns:epcglobal="urn:epcglobal:xsd:1" xmlns:impl="urn:epcglobal:epcis:wsdl:1" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" xmlns:wsdlsoap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" targetNamespace="urn:epcglobal:epcis:wsdl:1">
<wsdl:binding name="EPCISServiceBinding" type="impl:EPCISServicePortType">
<wsdlsoap:binding style="document" transport="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/http"/>
<wsdl:operation name="getQueryNames">
<wsdlsoap:operation/>
<wsdl:input>
<wsdlsoap:body use="literal"/>
</wsdl:input>
<wsdl:output>
<wsdlsoap:body use="literal"/>
</wsdl:output>
</wsdl:operation>
</wsdl:binding>
</wsdl:definitions>
As a side note, I now get the same error message if I try to connect from outside the company's firewall to the same web service available on the internet (http://demo.accada.org/epcis/capture?wsdl).
Does anyone have any more ideas?
Thank you once again in advance!

FIM Portal - FIM service could not be contacted. Please contact your administrator.
Hello,
I have an issue with FIM where I can access the fim portal in it's entirety on the fim server itself using my domain admin credentials, but if I try to connect in from another server I can get the FIM homepage, but clicking through various menus I receive
a "service could not be contacted error".
I've setup fim as shown below:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff512685(v=ws.10).aspx
vm-fim08-01 --- fim service + portal (uses SharePoint foundation 2010)
DNS Alias "fimportal" for vm-fim08-01
SharePoint - 80 application account: service.spportal
FIM service account - service.fim
vm-fim-sync -- fim sync service + sql 2008 R2
vm-fim-sql08 -- contains SQL 2008 R2 DB for fim service
SPNs configured as shown below (setspn -l):
service.fim
FIMService/fimportal
FIMService/fimportal.domaina.local
mssqlsvc/vm-fim-sql-01:1433
service.spportal
HTTP/fimportal.domaina.local
HTTP/fimportal
Delegation setup as shown in the pics on the two service accounts only.
http://fimportal/IdentityManagement/default.aspxfrom the
fim portal server (vm-fim08-01) works OK without a login prompt for full portal access (I don't received the service could not be contacted message). Using the fqdn fimportal.domaina.local from the same server this time asks for a login prompt,
I enter my current Windows credentials, get the home page, but I soon receive "The FIM service could not be contacted".
Using a different server with the fqdn I'm prompted for a login (using the alias logs me in immediately). Either way, whenever I use a different server other than the fim portal server I soon receive "The FIM service could not be contacted".
On the fim portal server's application event logs I see
The Portal cannot connect to the middle tier using the web service interface. This failure prevents all portal scenarios from functioning correctly. The cause may be
due to a missing or invalid server url, a downed server, or an invalid server firewall configuration. Ensure the portal configuration is present and points to the resource management service."
I'm pretty sure this is down to an authentication failure, but changing delegation settings have not helped (I've tried setting my service accounts and computer accounts to delegate for any service, but it didn't help). I've checked my SPNs which
look right to me. Any advice is much appreciated.
Thanks in advanceYou did setup an alias for the DNS name. Kerberos delegation needs A records. If you use an Alias you get the type of errors you describe.
Locally this works as the kerberos ticket is available on the local server. If you access the portal from another computer the FIM service has to request a ticket with delegation, that service needs a records as it uses the hostname in the request. -

Saleh RamadanSo, in reality, this issue has nothing at all to do with "it was working; now it is not", because you've destroyed all of the evidence that would exist in a "was working; now is not" scenario. What we really have here is a NEW installation that has failed.
So, from the perspective of a NEW installation that is not working...
Are there any other roles, features, services, or applications installed on this server?
Did you install the Web Server Role exactly as described in the documentation?
Did you install the WSUS Role exactly as described in the documentation?
Were there any other roles, features, services, or applications installed onto this server
after your original (working) installation of WSUS?

Oh, well, I have red and followed the documentation exactly step-by-step on the technet library, and I can guarantee you nothing went wrong because this is not my first installation for it
When I told you about the old damaged installation and the new installation which is also failed and showed me the same symptoms as the old one, I was sure that nothing wrong with the WSUS itself, but rather it is something wrong with the environment
Answering to your above questions, the answer for all is that: that server is only used for WSUS, nothing more
Anyway, I have managed to restore the service thanks to your previous reply where you point to the CONFIG folder inside the NET framework folder, I checked the files in there, some were changed to the date I think has stopped the service, so I repaired the
NET framework 2, and restarted
It is working fine now and syncing with the update server
