OfficeJet L7555 Cannot Be RE-Installed

Since March 2012 my OfficeJet L7555 has worked flawlessly on my Windows 7 system, wired network. Early September 2014 while trying to use my tablet on the computer via USB an attempt was made to figure out the problem. Microsoft FixIT was recommended and used. It did NOT fix the connection problem. At the same time I could no longer connect to the OfficeJet with the software. It was and is accessable using it's IP address from a browser.
The OfficeJet software was uninstalled and attempts were made to reinstall. When the software reaches the point of identifying the printer on the network, the software is caught in a loop. I click, it goes away and returns to the same point.
One suggestion was made to connect the printer to the computer via USB. The printer was moved and connected via USB. Nothing improved.
The installation software was used to install the OfficeJet on my W7 notebook successfully.
My conclusion is that FixIt changed something that the installation software does not know how to deal with. SFC /scannow has not resolved the issue either.
An attempt was made to reinstall W7 in place but it says there is not enough space on a disk (k) that does not exist on the computer. I do not want to do a clean install because approximately 220 programs would need to be reinstalled. W7 is a clean install. I built this system, March 2012.
In summary, the printer works fine from other computers. The printer can be accessed with a browser from the problem computer. The software cannot be installed on the problem computer. The software has been installed on another W7 computer within the week without any problems. A USB connection to the problem computer does not provide a useful connection.
Thank you.
Fred

Hi inflorida,
I see that you are having an issue with connecting to the printer from your Windows 7 computer.
Just so you are aware, Microsoft fix-it has nothing to do with the HP Printer or the printer software and driver. It only troubleshoots issues with the Microsoft operating system.
I do have a few suggestions that we can try in the attempt to get the printer back on line with the computer.
First step we need to do is to remove the usb cable from the computer and from the printer and leave it disconnect until further notice.
Please click on the following link and follow the instructions for Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once the Uninstall is complete, please reboot the computer.  When the computer is back up and running, click on the following link for the HP Officejet Pro L7555 All-in-One Printer Drivers.  Save this file to the Desktop of the computer so that it creates its own icon. This will make it easy to find the download.
Double click the new Icon and follow the instructions.  If you are going to use a usb connection, you will be prompted as to when to connect the usb cable or use wireless.
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.
Thanks for your time.

  • HP Officejet 8600 Cannot install software because printer is not detected on the wireless network

    Hello,
recently I faced an issue with my new HP Officejet N911a: when trying to install software & drivers, I get an error "printer is not found on the network". Here is my setup and what I tried already:
    - printer is connected to home wireless network (there is solid blue light on the printer etc). It has an IP address 192.168.x.x
    - Windows 7 (64-bit) Lenovo laptop is connected to the same wireless network
    - I don't have any MAC filtering
    - I broadcast my SSID and have WPA-PSK
    - I have default Windows 7 firewall
I was installing the latest drivers from HP website, but when it comes to installation, software never "sees" my printer on the network. I'm able to ping it and access from Windows explorer (by typing printer's IP address \\192.168.x.x).
I can install the printer via "Add printer", and wireless printing works fine, but in this case I'm unable to scan (error message is "Scanner communication cannot be established"). So I assume, that for scanning, I definitely need HP software.
If I connect the printer via USB to my laptop, software installs and I can scan without any issue. However, I would like printer to work wirelessly...
    Does anybody have any suggestions?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
I don't have a similar printer to check but for few models the default scan to computer is Disabled, please don't ask me why. And we, users, have to enable this by:
Double click printer icon on desktop,
      Click Manage Scan to Computer,
      Click Enable
You may want to tick the last square too.
New software update may remove this option, please use HP Scan from All Programs > HP > HP [your printer] > HP Scan
    Hope this helps.

  • HP Officejet 4630 cannot install driver. Windows XP Sp3

    Good evening,
I did purchase this printer earlier today and have been on this issue for a couple hours already. The box is not too far, and the printer might go back in soon !
The printer is working fine, it has been connected to my router, the light is always on, it says connected to the wifi system. The wifi connection confirmation page has printed, everything is "Success".
My problem is that anytime i try to install the drivers, the setup searches for a printer that is connected but not yet installed. It notices my printer with the good ip address, then copy a couple driver files and then tells me it fails to install the printer.
The current setup is OJ4630_198, I've found an older version and tried it but pretty much the same results, except that before it stops the installation telling me it fails to do so, it ask me to locate the HP CD on my cd drive, searching for a fax setup installation .png but fails a second later.
I'm pretty clueless, I've tried installing it manually but of course the selection of the Communication Port is somewhat tricky with a wire less printer.  I noticed there is a "Create a new port" selection available in which appears an option named "Hp Discovery Port Monitor (HP 4630 series)" which is oddly my new printer. Tried it but it doesn't work.
I've reset my router, pc and printer several times, tried assigning my printer to a different port number, all ended with the same results. It connects to my wifi, but i cannot manage to install the driver for the printer.  So my printer list is empty atm..
    Thanks for any help,
    Much appreciated

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 won't install

My HP Officejet Pro 8500 won't install on my second Macbook Air (while it did on my first; both new Macbooks with up to date software).
The message I get is: "Softwareaktualisierung kann aufgrund eines Netzwerkproblems nicht nach Updates suchen." (Update software is unable to search for updates due to network problems). But the network just works fine, as does the software update when approached by the apple menu. Everything can be accessed without any problem - except this driver.
It also does not help to download the OS X drivers from HP - this also won't install the printer, probably for the same reason.

For some unknown reasons, it now worked via the general software update (after I got 50 error messages before).

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 cannot be re-installed

Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 cannot be reinstalled after failing for unknown reasons (no program crash but after a normal start-up after working flawlessly for years). I get the message: "Adobe Premiere Pro Startup Error: Adobe Premiere Pro was unable to communicate with the process "Importer Process Server". Reastarting your computer may fix this problem". Several trials showed that this is not true. -- I uninstalled the program using the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and reinstalled it with the original, registered DVDs. Several trials failed (the antivirus program and the firewall were inactivated). I continue to get the same message. - The Adobe Encore CS4 included in Premiere, however, seems to work normally. But the Adobe Media Encoder CS4 does not function as well. The following message is shown (miraculously in German and translated by me): The product starting point
??0NewHandlerinitializer@ErrorManager@config@dvacore@@QAE@XZ was not found. - I suspect that a faulty Premiere file remains in spite of the cleaning action by the Adobe Cleaner Tool. The black screen of the Cleaner Tool does no longer list any sign of Premiere. The Windows Registry and the C:/ disk were cleaned as well (CCleaner).

The Permiere installation went very smoothly after inactivating the
anti-virus (Kaspersky) program and the firewall (Windows 7, Kaspersky). I
had done a first trial and forgot to do this inactivation. Premiere did not
install correctly and I received a corresponding message suggesting a

Should the advice above not fix things for you...
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

  • SAPINST: CJS-20049 Cannot find an installed ABAP systems...

    Hello.
I want to install a double stack WebAS 6.40 in order to install an XI (as of NW04) on it later on.
The ABAP Central Instance is running proberly (DB=MSSQL). When i now try to add the Java-Instance to my system
(path in SAPInst: SAP NetWeaver '04 Support Release 1 -> Java Add-In for ABAP -> MS SQL Server -> Dialog Instance Finalization) I receive a CJS-20049 "Cannot find an installed ABAP system".
    What´s my mistake?
I tried it with the ABAP system up an running ans also with the ABAP system stopped.
    MIKE

Any luck Mike? I'm getting exacltly the same error. It's very strange because I got my ABAP+Java development system installed fine. Now I'm installing the production environment and get the CJS-20049 error. I entered an OSS message (text below) but I can't wait the 3 days for a response.
Does anyone know what command it is issuing to find a system? I have not given any parameters yet so sapinst is still running as root and doesn't know any system or user names. I am doing the Java Add-In for ABAP>>DB2 UDB for UNIX and Windows>>Java System Finalization option, which is what I used on development and which the install guide says "Installs the SCS instance, the Java part of the central instance, and the Java database schema" so I believe this is correct. The Dialog instance is done if you want other instances after installing the main java.
    Hello,
I installed the development WAS 6.40 ABAP on host sap005 and then a Java add-in and everything went fine.
Now I am installing the production systems. I installed the WAS 6.40 ABAP following the same steps as for development but when I now try to install the Java add-in I get the message:

I would have thought that it would say “WebAS|640” but I assume that the “WebAS|630” above is correct as the media says NW04 SR1.
I compared all the SAP directories on sap005 and sap008 and they seem to be the same.
