Officejet L7680 Printer won't recognize yellow.

Replace the yellow ink. It now states Replace the following empyt ink cartridge to esume printing - Yellow.
I put in another brand new one. It seems to be leaking or something, because now that one seems empty???
Lost and frustrated. Spent a hour on line with HP Support to be told, I should buy a new printer, and would I like him to give me the upgraded options. All I did was replace the yellow ink, He said the printer isn't reading it.
Sooooo....you want me to buy another HP - NOT!

I'm having this same problem so are others mine is also with the yellow ink. I have a post about it too. Sounds like HP needs to fix somethink on the printer as too many of us are having the same issue just replace ink and all of a suned no printer!

Hi, just got an HP Officejet Pro. Setup went great, except for a snafu with our home network: it won't recognize it, even when I manually enter the name and password. It will however recognize our unsecured guest network. I temporarily set it up on that, but I'd rather be using the secured home network. Printer won't recognize new cartridge

My printer (All-in-one, 1200 series) won't recognize a new cartridge.
When the present one ran out of ink, I purchased a brand new Hp cartridge. When I installed it, it says E (error) and won't do anything. Thinking there was something wrong with this crtridge, I purchased another one....same thing.
I put in the empty cartridge, and it prints, but nothing comes out as it is empty.
Today, I called HP tech support, and they told me my printer was old and that I need to buy a new one!!!!!
Some help!
I didn't have any refill black ink, but I do have colored. I put blue ink in the empty black cartridge, and it is printing again beautifully.
Can anyone tell me why the printer won't print with the brand new cartridges????

For the printer not recognizing the new ink cartridge that is installed, I have included two documents for you to follow. The first one is 'Check Print Cartridge Light Blinking'. Some of the steps you have already completed, please do the steps that you have not done already.
The second document is 'The Print Cartridge Detected is the Wrong Type'. Again some of the steps you will have already completed, please complete the steps that you haven't.
If you are still having the same issue after this, please let me know if the error has changed, and what lights are blinking on the printer.

Printer won't recognize custom size paper

i have a Photosmart Premium C309g that was working fine up until recently. it will not recognize a custom sheet paper that is 3.75" x 9.00. i was able to print 50 wedding invitations for my daughter and when i had to print 25 more the printer does not recognize the paper, i keep getting an error that reads out of paper. if i put a full sheet in the printer it will print. i have also had this issue with trying to print response cards that are 4.00 x 3.75". I have reloaded the HP drivers for this printer, i have bought a new Windows office program and still nothing works. Any ideas would be helpful.

My hp wireless deskjet 3050 all in one printer won't recognize my laptop anymore

When I try to print from my HP Deskjet 3050 wireless printer nothing happens. However, I can print from my desktop which is also wireless with this printer. It has been fine for months, now all of a sudden it just doesn't seem to recognize my laptop. When I go to Troubleshoot HP, it says to contact my network administrator. I don't even know how to do that!! I know my wireless connection is on because it works with my other computer. I have tried turning everything off...rebooting everthing....and it still fails. Please hlep me! I did print a network configuration page which said that no problems were found. Also my router is a Cisco linksys E1000.

I can't print web pages or selections from a Web Page directly. I have to copy and paste into Adobe or OneNote.

I understand you're unable to print from Google Chrome using the Officejet 4630. I will do my best to assist you! I would recommend following this document on Printing Problems With Google Chorme.
If this document doesn't resolve your issue, then please try uninstalling Google Chrome by following this document here. Now, install the latest version of Google Chrome here.
Have you tried a different Web Browser to see if you're receiving the same problem?
Another option you can try is using Google Cloud Print since your printer has ePrint as an added feature. I will provide two documents to help you. This document tells you information on What is Google Cloud Print? This document tells you how to set up this feature here.

Printer Won't Recognize InDesign

I have a MacBook Pro using OSX 10.4.11 and the original CS Premium and everything has printed just fine up until a week ago. Made no changes or upgrades on any software or operating system in the interim, but my printer (HP Photosmart C5280) suddently stopped recognizing any InDesign files. Can print Photoshop files and if I create a PDF out of the InDesign file it will print, but that's not what I want to do, especially when trying to print envelops. Apple tech support tried to help with everything they knew including removing the com.adobe.InDesign.plist file and then rebooting, but nothing. Also did the "Verify Disk Permissions" check to make sure there wasn't any problems there, still nothing. The test files we used that didn't work were really tiny (just a few words etc.) but still no dice so size of file was not the problem. Tried Adobe Tech Support, but they no longer support CS Premium and so here I am. Couldn't find anything on the forum list that I haven't tried. Has anyone else had this problem and solved it or have any further recommendations? I'm not a very technically savvy person, so will have to be lead through any steps one by one.

Also, the "print master pages" is not checked. Apple went through most of the possibilities with me, as it would be highly likely that by mistake I might of done something like that, but still nothing. I'm not sure how to create a "new user" account (sorry not very experienced at this) but I went through the normal "won't print stuff" drill about Printer selection and setup details. It prints every other app, just not ID.

OfficeJet L7680: Printing Horizonal Lines

These horizontal lines are blank, so no ink is being printed on the area, and they only appear when using black ink.
I went through and ran the alignment, calibration, and cleaning operations in the tools menu. I also replaced the black printhead, as well as cleaned out the metal contacts, etc. All this to no avail, still the exact same amount of horizontal lines.
Please! Somebody must know a solution to this problem out there.

Well what exactly changed? New equipment? New router? New Gateway? New modem? Wired or wireless connection? OS of computer? Reinstalled the software? Reinstalled the drivers? Detail everything in order on what you are trying to do and where in the manual what steps you are following.

IMac 10.4.11 printer won't recognize

I tried to hook up my parent's printer to their hand me down imac running 10.4.11. I downloaded the drivers from hp' site (HP Inkjet 4500) for the older OS but when I go to instal it the printer isn't being recognized to add. I have it connected via USB. I've tried all of the usb ports, restarted both but still nothing. Any thoughts?

With 10.4 & especially hp SW, it's generally neccasary to Repair Permissions with Disk Utility, then reboot.

Officejet L7680 won't complete a scan. Windows 8.1

I have Dell desktop with Windows 8.1. I recently had to install a new hard drive and reinstall all my software. Prior to that I had Windows 8.0 and my Officejet L7680 printed and scanned just fine. After the new hard drive, it will not complete a scan and the HP scan app gets hung up. I upgraded to 8.1 and installed the proper drivers from HP for Windows 8.1. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers a number of times. I've also used the HP Scrubber to remove all the software twice using Uninstall_L4.bat. No luck. Also tried HP Print & Scan Doctor and even it gets hung up. I'm about to just dump the printer and go get a new one. Since I've owned this printer I've always had issues with the software.

Officejet L7680 + Nero + Neato CD labels print off-center

Hi,
I create CD labels with Nero9 Cover Designer. I select Neato labels 2 to a page, which are centered on the page. But my Officejet L7680 prints the labels left-aligned instead of centered.
Is there any way to fix this, other than buying new label stock?

Thanks for replying. In my post, I mentioned
"The best results I've had are from selecting "other specialty paper" on the "best" setting."
I can't chose "Max DPI" because that setting requires HP Specialty Papers. My ink levels are about half full. Although the different settings I tested showed minimal diferences, I know all this is a matter of how deep into the layers of the paper the ink is absorbed. As mentioned, I think the ink is partially absorbed below the gloss, so I think the spotty appearance comes from the light reflecting differently from the ink as some of it is below the gloss layer and some is still sitting on top of the gloss layer. I noticed there is a little bit of smudging no matter how long I let it dry. Like I said, for some reason, the Dell printer I had AIO Dell 962 I think, was flawless. I may try some additional settings, but I hoped someone out there would have already foud the best combination.

OfficeJet 4500 printer

My OfficeJet 4500 printer won't print. I have about six print jobs waiting in my queue. My printer pulls a sheet of paper thru the printer (printing nothing), pulls another sheet about 1/2 of the way, then stops. Print button still flashing but won't go any further. HELP!!!

I was printing yesterday (a large print job) 1MAY13 & all of a sudden, before it would print (again), there was a loud clicking sound. I cancelled the print job & gave the printer a rest. I disconnected the printer this morning (2MAY13) & removed both ink cartridges & swabbed out w/ a little alcohol in the trays they reside. Removed the rear door to check for any loose paper, which, I had no jam yesterday. Reconnected everything & powered back on & attempted to align & clean the cartridges, even print somehing. This was unsuccessful & the printer screen kept reading "Aligning cartridges or cleaning cartridges or printing", & there it stayed flashing on what it was doing....It did pull in a sheet of paper & when it returned the paper, it stuck half-way & I had to pull it completely out. I can press the cancel button & it will inform of cancelling, but, it flashes as well. I've not been able to print ANYTHING today & I've constantly powered off the printer, tried to align & clean the cartridges & now, when the cartridge is setting up, there's a knocking sound in behind where the cartridges rest, but, I'm not finding any issues of anything being broken, etc. I even went & downloaded OJ4500vG510g-m_Basic_13_en & still unsuccessful. I have no idea that the problem is because I was very careful in cleaning the trays for the cartridges & the print hed area that the cartridges rests against when installed.

My new computer won't recognize my printer (HP4500 Officejet Wireless) in the wireless or wired mode

MY new computer won't recognize my printer in either the connected or wireless mode. When I hit "search for printers" it finds my neighbors wireless printer 100 yards away, and another net, but not mine sitting right beside it.
