Officejet printer 6700 deleted printer job stuck in queue

Any solution for getting rid of a deleted document from the print queue as it is preventing me from printing new documents.  I have already typed NET STOP SPOOLER del /Q /F /S "%systemroot%\System32\Spool\Printers\*.*" NET START SPOOLER in Dos Prompt but it replies by saying it does not recognise ***
This question was solved.

Hi,
From the Desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  Into the Run window, type services.msc and hit enter.  Browse down to the print spooler service, right click it and select Properties then click on the Stop button.  Now browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS and delete the job inside this folder - You may need to click a prompt to gain the appropriate authority to open the PRINTERS folder.
Restart the computer and you should find the document has been removed.

  • Print jobs stuck in queue using P4015n LaserJet

I setup a P4015n LaserJet printer for one of my clients using the RJ45 connection from the printer. My client has 4 computers 2 Windows 7 64 bit systems, 1 Windows 7 32 bit system and 1 Windows XP 32 bit system.  I set the network ip address, subnet mask and default gateway manually on the printer. Sometimes printing from the Windows 7 64 bit systems the jobs get stuck in the queue and you have to delete them before you can print again. The other 2 computers do not have any issues printing and they where setup using the drivers from the CD. I downloaded the latest PCL 6 drivers for the Windows 7 64 bit systems.  Looking for some suggestions.
    Thanks

Ok the problem happened on one of the 32 bit computers so it is not a 64 bit issue.  Still looking for some suggestions.
    Thanks

  • PSC 1410 - print job stuck in queue

Sometimes my PSC 1410 stops printing part-way through a page: the warning lights "jam" and "cartridge" come on, although the paper path clears after pressing On/Resume when the spoiled sheet emerges (undamaged), and the cartridges are at about half life and have been aligned. Apart from the waste of paper and ink, the great problem is that the stuck job remains in the queue and does not respond to Cancel or Delete: even switching printer and computer off and on still leaves the job stuck in the queue sometimes, when it has been known to restart printing automatically.
Can anybody tell me a sure-fire method of clearing the stuck job out of the queue ?

  • Wireless print job stuck in queue

C5180 print jobs from network are stuck in queue and won't print.  I've reinstalled driver, etc.  Does print from a USB cable connection.  Any ideas?

I've got a similar problem with the officejet 5510 (multifunction) attached by USB to XP computer.  I can print direct (connected by USB) and wirelessly from my windows 7 laptop.  I can print direct (USB) from my Mac OS 10.4.11  However, when I print wirelessly from the Mac, the print job shows up in the que on the XP machine with the 5510 attached, but wont print.  I have to clear the spool from the command line.
I've set up the 5510 wirelessly by using the advanced windows printing via Samba, by Lpd to the IP address, and by simply adding the printer in the work group.  All three ways result in network traffic (I see it on the firewall log) and result in a document queued.
since there is no 5510 officejet (mutlifunction), I have set up the printer with the cups/gutenprint 5.2.7 profiles using several different printers - generic officejet, deskjet 950c, officejet 5110, designjet 5500ps, designjet 5000PS HP 9085MFP.
I can't get the print job out of the queue/spool and into the printer.
    Any thoughts?

  • Print Job Stuck in Queue - can't print

HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909g Series. Unable to print documents. The HP Solution Center indicates that my desktop and the printer are connect. I attempted to cancel all print jobs. All were cancelled with the exception of one. That job continues to indicate, "Deleting - Printing." I've powered off/on on both the printer and the desktop. Unplugged cable from unit and wall. Waited 10 seconds. It did print a self-test diagnostic page generated from the PC, but it won't print any of my documents. Any suggestions as to what might be the problem and how to resolve it? Thank you.

    Hello Mclaugha1,
Thanks for the post.  On this one, I've included a couple of links below that should assist you in getting past this error and back to printing.  Good Luck!

  • Acrobat 9 pro 9.3.2 click printer properties deletes printer

when using acrobat 9 pro 9.3.2 to print a document, and i select an HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer, clicking
the "Properties" button does NOT bring up the properties window (so that i can select double-side
d printing, for instance) and the printer is then deleted.  I can no
longer print to that printer until i re-install it.  can anyone help?  thanks!

Funny, I just found this tech note:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/509/cpsid_50981.html
The Adobe PDF Printer is not available or is unusable in Mac OS X Snow Leopard (v10.6). This situation is due to security features in Snow Leopard that disable the Adobe PDF Printer. Adobe Acrobat 9.1 Pro removes the Adobe PDF Printer and adds a new Save As Adobe PDF command. Customers using earlier versions of Adobe Acrobat in Snow Leopard cannot use the Adobe PDF Printer.
Does this also affect Acrobat 8 then...?
    Best,
    Wolfgang

  • Project server 2010: job stuck in queue with state Waiting to be Processed (Sleeping)

    Hi,
I have a job in the queue that is stuck. The job type is "TimeSheet Update Resource" and the job state is "Waiting to be processed (Sleeping)". This is happening with only one user. Other users can edit, save, and submit timesheets normally as it appears.
Can't figure out the problem! I tried restarting the queue and timer service with no success. Any suggestions much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    George

Since you already identified issue is user specific, I think now you need to have a look in to ULS log to undestand really whats happening in the background.
Try  editing the user from PWA>>>Server Settings>>Manager users
Click on the user and without making any change click on save, monitor the queue

  • Network Print Jobs Stuck in Queue

    Hello,
I have, perhaps, the most frustrating problem on the planet.  In my home network, I have a HP Color LaserJet 2600n connected to my main PC, with 2 other PC's on the network.  All 3 run Windows 7.  Printing from my main PC works fine, but if I try to print over the network, the print job always gets stuck in the queue.  I can see it stuck in the queue on my main PC, but I can't do anything about it.  I can't delete it, nothing.  If I restart the spooler, then it magically prints and clears the queue, but it's annoying to have to do that all the time.  I've reinstalled the drivers several times to no avail.  Tips?
    RPGillespie

I have a similar problem, I have a directly connected 1300 and a network P3015. The 1300 is connected via USB, the 3015 is connected by RJ45 cable right to the router. Both printers have their print queues get stuck, but only from my HP Pavilion Elite HPE running HP-installed Windows 7. All the other machines in the office can use the 3015 printer perfectly well. One is an older Pavilion using XP-Pro, another is a Dell using XP-Pro and the third is a Lenovo laptop using Windows 7. All our toners are not refills (seems like a stupid suggestion that the toner cartridge could cause a queue to lock up). The problem is definitely between my machine and the HP printers. I have a Brother printer and a couple of Seiko/Epson printers that all work perfectly fine.
Rebooting several times a day is getting old.

  • Print jobs stuck in queue after printer goes auto off

Hi all!We have an HP LaserJet M125NW printer in the office, which is connected directly to the network (wired). The problem is, once the printer goes to "auto off" mode, the print jobs get stuck in the queue, and we need to restart the printer every time. After the restart, it works fine, until it goes auto off again. The device has a fix ip, and it can be seen on the network, everything sems okay, but it still doesn't print. I tried different computers, different operating systems, nothing works. Could anyone help me with this annoying situation?

, Welcome to the forums  I read about the printing issue you're having with your LaserJet M125NW, that will not seem to wake up when you send the print job to be printed out. Below is what I would first suggest trying. Select Setup, System Setup, Energy Settings, Wake/Auto On Events, and in that menu, select "LAN Job" to see if this will help wake the printer up when you send it a print command. Also ensure you have the power to the unit plugged in directly to a wall outlet. Avoid power bars and surge protectors, which ensures the printer is receiving the full power it needs.  Let me know what happens, good luck

  • Deleteing report jobs from the queue

    OAS 9.0.2.0.0 on Win2K-sp4, Client Win2K-sp4.
Many's the time a report job will hang up in the queue preventing other jobs from printing. Using the OEM, I can usually delete all the jobs, except the one that is "active, the one that is hanging up the queue. It always gives me an authentication error. I have tried every login/pw combo I can think of without success. I am always forced to restart OC4J_BI_Forms to dump the queue. Any suggestions?

    Thanks for the input.
What I have done is create a new reports server/queue from the command line. It runs as a Windows process and can be restarted from there. Clunky, but I don't have to kill Forms everytime there's a queue hang up.

  • Problem with Acrobat print job being stuck in queue

I have Acrobat 7.0 Pro and I do a lot of print to Acrobat PDF 7.0 from web pages. When I go to print from Safari and pick the printer Acrobat PDF 7.0,
the pages will process and bring the PDF up in Acrobat.
However, if I then want to print another page, I have a problem. Many times, the previous print job has a status of printing in the queue even though it is complete.
If I delete the job, the next job will complete.
Something is not completing or deleting completed jobs in my queue.
    Any help would be great.

Thank you for the response. This has always worked for me in the past. I can print a web page to acrobat, then even print another one and the next file (pdf) is created no problem. In the past, the print job has gone away as soon as the file was created.
I will try the permissions fix and see what happens.
    Shane
    Hi there,
With the page that has opened in Acrobat, do you save
this document before you try to print the next
document. I am thinking that maybe the spooler is
expecting you to do something with the file that has
printed before it releases it from the queue.
I would also try running a Repair Disk Permissions.
This is located in Applications > Utilities > Disk
Utility. This can resolve permissions on files that
may be stopping the spooler from finishing.
    Regards,
    Paul

  • How can I grant users the ability to pause/resume printing without a "print operators group" password.

    Greetings,
We are running 10.8.5 on 30 machines in an active directory environment (graphics lab). The clients are experiencing a persistant error when pausing or resuming print jobs. Each time something is paused, it requires an administrator password to resume the job. Administrators are not always present so designers are locked out of all of the printers until we come in (or remote in) to authenticate.
I spoke with Apple today and they said they would not support active directory accounts and that the account must be edited by the department that created the account because the restrictions come from the Active Directory account preferences.
On the other hand, I ALSO read that I can edit this in the CUPS interface or modify it with the terminal command below, locally.
    dseditgroup -o edit -u admin_name -p -a user_name -t user _lpadmin
"dseditgroup" adds the user_name to a group (in this case, _lpadmin).
And admin_name is the name of your administrator's account.
    a) Must this be modified on the Active directory account or CAN I modify this on the local machine via CUPS or terminal?
    b) If so, how would I grant users the ability to resume printing without an admin password?
    c) If not, exactly what must be modified in the active Directory account to allow pause/resume without an admin password.
I have seen a terminal command that adds users to the print operatiors group (Ipadmin) and I have seen some info on editing the CUPS interface, If i must edit the CUPS interface to allow this, can anyone point to detailed instructions on how to make this change.
I also saw info on editing the CUPS interface but the suggestion lacked details as to how and how to return to default if it does not work.
I also saw a post with these suggestions below but without detail as to how one would carry this out.
    /etc/cups/cupsd.conf
    # All administration operations require an administrator to authenticate...
    <Limit CUPS-Add-Modify-Printer CUPS-Delete-Printer CUPS-Add-Modify-Class CUPS-Delete-Class CUPS-Set-Default CUPS-Get-Devices>

    *#Require user @AUTHKEY(system.print.operator) @admin @lpadmin*
    *Require valid-user*

Hello again.  For AD environments you can run the following command on each workstation:
    sudo dseditgroup -o edit -n /Local/Default -u localadmin -p -a "Domain Users" -t group _lpadmin
This command assumes you are typing this interactively on the machine.  Obviously change localadmin to the Mac's local admin's name.  When running you will be prompted for password twice.  Once to elevate permissions (sudo) and once to validate you are localadmin.
If you are using Apple Remote Desktop (or JAMF or other management suite), you can push this command out while embedding the localadmin's password.
    sudo dseditgroup -o edit -n /Local/Default -u localadmin -P yourpass -a "Domain Users" -t group _lpadmin
Please note, if your password uses special characters (/-\) this may fail over ARD.
In Mavericks, AD groups are cached once they are referenced.  If you are dealing with a lot mobile users (laptops) you might want to replace Domain Users with everyone
