Officejet pro 8500a I am trying to print from yahoomail.when I press print my IE disappears

wth? trying to print for first timefrom my laptop.Press print and the whole Internet explorer just disappears...I think I set everything up fine.

Have you tried printing from a different Program to verify its not just an IE issue. Try using notepad for a test print.

  • HP Officejet pro 8500A premium, all-in-one printer, scanner problems

I have an HP Officejet pro 8500A premium, all-in-one printer.
Tried uninstalling using the HP supplied uninstall software and installed recommended OSX 10.8 software for this device.
I use wireless scanning. Scanner only scans the first page then shows an error.
Anyone have this problem as well and any possible solutions?
    Thanks

The HP Scan works just fine in Mountain Lion for me. Always has.

I think the original poster needs to reinstall the latest software for the printer that came with his printer or directly from HP. Then, install the Apple HP updates.
When he unistalled the HP software, it may have removed the software needed for HP Scan to work properly.
The last software I installed from HP was -> HP_Installer_Officejet_Full_Group05_10.3.dmg
Yes, there have been Apple HP updates, but they never stopped my HP Scan from working.

  • Have an HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless. Trying to print to it from my iPad2. Having some problems.

I Have an HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless. Trying to print to it from my iPad2. Having some problems. Trying to print docs or files from the iPad usuall gets me a page that looks scrunched up to one side. Is there a good printer app (preferably free or shareware) that I could get or is there a patch, new driver, new firmware or something for the 8500 that would allow good printing fro the iPad wirelessly?

The latest firmware version for your printer is DLM1FN1006BR; you can verify yours by printing out a self test page via the front panel of your printer.
Also, the HP ePrint Home & Biz app supports printing over your local wireless network, so please verify if your printer is connected to the same access point as your iPad2.  You are also able to verify connectivity by typing your printer's ip address within the address bar of your safari web browser.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500A Plus stalls displaying "Now Printing".

Hi, in the office i work in we have 2 HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 Series. One is networked to 3 PC's running WIndows 7 and the other is connected via wifi to a  PC also running Windows 7.
The problem is the printer that is networked often stalls displaying "now printing" on the printer screen. The only way to continue printing is to turn the computer off and then on again, wait for it to do its cleaning etc then press print again. This is usually ok for that print job but as soon as further print jobs are added it has to be reset and the whole cycle repeats endlesly throughout the day. Until recently the other printer that is connected via wifi was working fine but now that is also doing exactly the same thing described above.
Recently i searched the forums and have discovered this is a common problem with this type of printer.
I have done partial and full resets of both printers to no avail.
Bothe printers are currently using firmware version: LRP1FN1126AR , which i believe is the latest firmware.
Please can someebody explain how to make these printers work properly? Many thanks

ok, i have done the most research into this issue of all people, as i bought 3 of them for buisness.
the most common problem is the printer will only print for 20 or so mins after a reboot, then it goes to sleep,
if attempting print after this time, it will display "now printing" but nothing prints.
after hours to customer support, and a new printer delivered, plug in the expired/refilled genuine cartrige, same issue.
you can wake up the machine tempoarily by opening and closing the cartridge door.
i finally got the lady from HP to admit there is a page count on the chips, and instead of an error on screen, they do this to avoid law suits.she didnt admit to the last bit tho, lol.
i have 3 expired , refilled genuine chips now, all do the same all after around 5000 pages.
    cheeky buggers!!
someone with time and money, please sue them , im tired of bieng ripped off.

  • Officejet Pro 8600 Plus N911 Tries to Copy from ADF if Lid Covering the Glass is Completely Open

    Hi,
I just posted a reply to the following regarding an identical problem that I am having:
      http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Scanning-Faxing-and-Copying/Officejet-Pro-8600-N911n-Printer-Tries-to-C...
It occurs to me, however, that the original post I replied to is so old that it is probably better to post my problem in a new thread.
I've borrowed some of the original poster's wording since his explanation of the problem was very clear and concise...
If I have the lid that covers the glass completely open on my HP Officejet 8600 Plus (N911) printer then it usually tries to feed pages from the ADF to copy and then reports a jam since I have not put anything in the ADF. If I partly or completely shut the lidthen it copies from the glass properly. This problem arises when I want to copy pages from a thick book for which it is very incovenient (and not really possible) to hold the book firmly in position with two hands while closing the lid with a third hand.
I think the problem is that the ADF sensors that detect when the ADF is loaded with paper are normally held in the position indicating no paper by gravity. When the lid is completely open it goes past 90 degrees, so gravity causes them to be fall into a position where the sensors are tripped.
We contacted Courtney, a Case Manager on the "HP AMS TCO Escalations Team" and she insisted that the 8600 is able to copy from the glass with the lid open and that our unit must be defective. She sent a new unit, but it had the same problem since it is a design flaw, not a manufacturing defect. When we called her back she did not seem to concerned that the 8600 could not copy with the lid open and did not really want to pursue our problem any further. We asked whether we could switch to an equivalent model that can copy with the lid open, but she said that the 8600 is their top-of-the-line model and there is no equivalent model. In the end, she offered to "buy back" the printer.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any fix so that I can copy with the lid completely open? Perhaps a firmware update so the printer realizes that if the lid is open then it should ignore the ADF? I would even be OK with a menu item that lets you disable the ADF.
Does anyone from HP monitor this forum and can they test this out and report the flaw to the design team, or suggest a work-around to me?
     Thanks!

    Paul,
I noticed that when the cover is completely open (90 degrees), there is a chime sound and the ADF symbol lights up in the upper right hand corner.  If I lower the lid a bit, I can press the copy button and get the copy started before the symbol lights up.  This is the same chime and symbol that lights up when pages are placed in the ADF.
I tried putting shims (small pads of post-its about 1/8" thick) under the bottom edge of the printer in the back.  That is enough to prevent the sensor from engaging the ADF with the top opened fully.  Yipee, hands free operation.  HP would probably say I voided the warranty.
Maybe the printer was tested on a table that was not level.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500a drops ability to network print after a period of time

A recent development.  The printer has worked perfectly in the past.
When I first boot up the printer, it prints wirelessly.  After it is inactive and I select another print job, the computer communicates to the printer.  The printer display and the computer show that the job is printing, but nothing happens.  It eventually times out.
When I shut the printer down and re-boot, and select the print job again, it will print.  But, after sitting inactive for a while, I go through the same problem.
I've tried a usb cord and have the same issue.
So, when I need to print, I have to shut down the printer and re-boot everytime.

Sorry that you are having a problem with losing connection between the computer and printer.
You can try to the link below and set a static IP address for it.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500A e-All-in-One Printer series (A910)

I can not print once I installed a new Magenta ink cartidge.  It comes back with the same message to replace the magenta ink cartridge and this is the second new cartridge in two days.  I did notice the cartidge originally indicated only 50% full.  Not sure why I keep getting the same error.  I cannot use the printer now.  Not sure how to correct the problem?

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500A e-All-in-One Printer - A910a keeps getting assigned 169. ip address

Im currently using a ubee wireless router
my OS is Windows 7 home premium 64 bit
My printer is able to connect to my router however it is assiged a 169 ip address, therefore my computer is unable to connect to the printer. Before I was even able to connect my printer to the network I had to disable my mac filtering on my router settings because my printer told me to do so on a wireless test report, but its been an ongoing issue where if its not the IP address its something wrong with the MAC filtering. I feel like im going in circles. Please HELP!!

No it is not connecting to your router as the printer has an invalid IP.    What procedure are you following in the manual and the support HP web site to get connected??

  • Officejet pro 8500A Plus Word 2010 not printing in booklet any more

I have been successfully printing booklet mode - the reason for buying the printer. Now I cannot set the option in the printer properties of Word 2010
I am setting the radio button to booklet and it immediately unsets :-O
If it unsets how can I print booklet
In the properties for the printer I have set it to print booklet by default - but it shows the pages per sheet radio button checked each time.
But it works for PDF files...
What is not being set correctly?

NOTE:    The printer driver does not support manual duplexing. Two-sided printing requires an HP Automatic Two-sided Printing Accessory to be installed on the device
found online in user guide  I am researching to find a printer that can do booklet printing

  • HP officejet Pro 8500A - problem with wireless setup switching from ATT Uverse to Verizon FiOS

I had this all-in-one printer set up and working on wireless through ATT Uverse router in one city.  just moved to another city and got Verizon FiOS.  Now when I try to set up the wireless connection, the printer will connect to the router, but my computer cannot locate the printer.  It gave a 169 IP address which doesn't seem right.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer software on my computer, but when going through setup on the computer, it can't find the printer automatically or by me typing in the IP address it shows on the printer.  Not sure what I have done wrong.

It is not connected to your router (indicated by the 169.254 IP address).

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500A fax reports not printing

I am working with an Officejet Pro 8500A Premium. It works great except for when I need to print fax confirmation sheets or receiving faxes - then I get a message that the printer is out of paper. I do not have problems printing from the computer, a copy or scan. Only the fax function seems to throw the machine off, specifically to the issue of feeding paper from the tray. Anyone have anything they can recommend here?
