Officejet Pro only prints top 1/3 of page

I'm printing documents by wireless connection but only the top  1/3 of the page is now printing. I started by printing a 5 page pdf document, and the first 3 pages all look ok. The next page only has the top 1/3 of the page printed though and then it looks as if it's run out of ink. I've run a printer status report and that prints off without any problems at all. Scans below.

Hello,  Please try the below steps that should resolve the issue. Open the PDF doucument .
Click on   File > Properties .  Document Properties  will be displayed.
Under " Document Properties " window, Click on "Security" tab.
Check if "Printing: Allowed". If it is not probably you will not be able to print.
Else try the below steps .....
File > Print . Make sure Your printer is selected, then Click on "Advance " at bottom.
Make sure "Print as Image " is having check. Click OK . And click on OK again to Print.

    Hi ALB13,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having some printing issues.
Just so you are aware, this could be cause by a lack of power on the printer.
Please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
Please feel free to write me back if you have any other questions.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8000 Printer series - A809 Slow Response to Word Print

    Hello,
When I try to print from a Word Document the HP Officejet Pro 8000 Printer series - A809 Printer takes on average 1:24 to respond and print. When I go into the printer's settings and print a test page the Printer takes about 3 seconds to respond and print the document. The Printer has a Dual Side Printing add on and the optional paper tray.
Do you know what could cause such a long delay for the printer, especially when it only happens with word and other Microsoft Works Programs?

  • 'Quick Fix' for HP Officejet Pro L7580 Printer & 88XL Yellow Cartridge Popping out problem!

After reading other forum comments from people having the same problem with the yellow cartridge popping-out, combined with others who have realised that HP have no interest in compensating anyone for this rediculous example of, at best, 'bad design', or at worst 'blatent planned obsolescence', I have created a solution that may add another 1, 2 or more years of life to the HP Officejet Pro L7580 Printer.
This is not the elegant technical solution I was hoping for.  However, in hindsight, it may prove to be a more reliable solution than replacing the faulty part that is actually causing the problem.  So, here it is the solution ........
I found a wooden triangular door stop that I cut to size that fitted exactly in the space between the plastic door and the offending yellow cartridge. To hold it in place, I wrapped the doorstop with 2" cellotape, then I stuck the door stop to the inside of the plastic door with double sided cellotape (double sided stick-on foam would also work well). With the doorstop in the correct place, the plastic door closed perfectly and was snug enough to apply sufficent pressure to the offending yellow cartridge, and hence stopping it from popping out again.  To make sure the plastic door does not 'fly open' with the pressure of the yellow cartridge (when it wants to pop out!), I applied another piece of 2" cellotape around the outside of the door, holding it to the body of the photocopier.
This exercise only took 10-15 mins to do.  I feel this is a much better option than spending another $300+ on a new All-in-One  system, as well as being a good environmental solution.  If this is DELIBERATE 'planned obsolescence', companies like HP need to be more accountable for, at best, 'sloppy design'.  Any feedback would be appreciated.

  • Problem with HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer: cleans printheads every time it's turned on

    Hello everybody,
the printer HP Officejet Pro all-in-one 8500 (A909a - product n. CB022A) cleans printheads every time I turn it on. This problem affects any HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer, it isn't a problem only of that one I purchased. It is an annoying and irritating bug because the printheads cleaning at each power on implies two bad disadvantages:
    ink waste (each printheads cleaning process consumes some ink);
too much time (2-3 minutes) to get the printer ready after power on.
I upgraded my printer with the last firmware available on the HP site (firmware ver. DLM1FN1006BR) but the bug is still present.
    At this point I ask:
there exists a way (or procedure) to disable this unnecessary automatic cleaning at every power on?
Can someone contact HP engineers or tell me how contact directly one of them to indicate the bug and ask a new firmware update?
Please don't tell me to leave the printer turned on all the time or that the printheads cleaning at every power on is a normal behavior! Where is then power and ink saving claimed for this printer model?
I hope to receive a solution for this problem. Thanks in advance to everybody will help me!
    This question was solved.

The servicing when the printer is turned on is normal and is required to keep the printheads healthy (not clogged). See here for information.
As for power savings, the printer will automatically go into a low power mode when not printing for some time.  It is not necessary to turn the product off and on to save power.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610 Printer Not Printing

I have been using my Officejet Pro for about a week now, and it has been working great! I have set up my e-print, successfully printed from a phone...all wirelessly.  Randomly, the printer stopped printing. It is still connected to the network, and I can actually scan documents from the printer direclty to my computer and to my email, it just wont print from my computer to the printer wirelessly anymore. It still works if I connect a USB, but just not wirelessly.  I have restarted both my printer and computer, re-configured the wireless settings, and instaled the HP Doctor that stated that it could not find any issues with the printer.  I don't get a message or anything, but when I go to the control panel and click on my printer, it says 1 document "error".  Help!  I work remotely and need a wireless printer due to lack of office space. Any suggestions?

    John,
Thanks for your response to my query about printing problems on an HP Officejet Pro K550 printer since upgrading to Mountain Lion.  I usually use the Duplex printing on two sides of the paper. I use A4 size paper (am based in UK); if I substantially increase the footer margins I get printing on all pages. Maybe something to do with the way the printer handles the paper in and out for two-sided printing, although you would expect the problem to then be printing on even pages, not odd. Prior to Mountain Lion, there was no problem in printing footers, but this might just be a coincidence, and it might be the printer on the blink.
I generally only use Microsoft Office 2011 and Adobe Acrobat Pro X version 10.1.4

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8100 printer. I removed the paper tray this morning to load paper and now I can't get it to slide back in all the way. It stops about 4 inches short of closing.  I feel like an idiot! How can I have problems sliding a drawer in?  Are there any clips etc. that I should have in place, etc. that might have come off?

    Hi,
You might try lifting the front of the printer to see if anything is obstructing from your desk.  It should slide right back in.

After installing latest OS 5.1 update I can no longer print to my HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer?   Suggestions?

Installing the new os may have tricked one of the three devices involved.  If it used to work, it will again.
Reboot the printer.   Reboot the router.  On the pad, general, reset, reset network connections.
Make sure all the devices are on the same wifi network.   Talk nice to it.

  • Hp officejet pro 8610 prints solid black on scanned pdf and word doc pictures

    -HP Officejet Pro 8610
-problem printing scanned pdf document and word doc. photos
-My new HP Officejet Pro 8610 printed a newly scanned pdf document as an all black picture. I then printed a saved word documtent from my iMac which included a small picture. The document print was acceptable, but the picture was solid black. There were no error messages. These were, my initial tests, to check this new printer.

    Hey there @TM-10
    Welcome to the Community
I read through your post about your new Officejet 8610 scanning a document to your computer and printing out all black. I have a couple ideas for you to try.
Try the steps in this guide: Unexpected Scan Output Using HP Scan Application for HP Multifunction Printers When Using OS X v10.9...
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Ensure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help.
    Good luck

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Printer - help for office environment/wireless network

I'm an HP person (i.e., laptob, printer, etc.).  Our office had a Brothers (sorry) MFC 9840 and with it we had a desktop app that would allow us to scan, copy and fax from our personal computers.  Needless to say that printer died and I bought the office an HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer. Because the aforementioned capabilities existed, the staff would like them for our new HP printer. I didn't see these capabillities on the support disk.  Did I miss it?  Can you help.  Thanks (because I can not believe the HP would put out such great products without this capability).

  • Change print settings for email sent directly to the officejet pro 8630 printer

    HP Officejet Pro 8630 All-in-One
Trying to change settings for printing an email directly to the printer.
Email prints in color on separate pages, want black & white with two-sided.

    Hi @George1978,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I gather that you would like to learn how to change the print settings when sending an email to print on your Officejet Pro 8630 printer.
To better assist you, would you please supply some additional information:
How are you sending the print job to the printer? Are you sending it from your computer and choosing Print, from one of HP’s mobile apps, are you forwarding the email to the printer’s ePrint email address, or another method?
What operating system are you using on the device you are using to send the print job? I have included wikiHow’s guide titled How to Figure out Your Mobile Operating System if you are using a mobile device. If you are using a computer, please click on http://whatsmyos.com/ as it will tell you what your operating system is.
How is the printer connected (USB cable, ethernet, or wireless)?
    Thank you.

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 & Officejet Pro K8600 Printer - WHICH DRIVER ?!

What driver do I use for Windows Server 2008 R2 and HP Officejet Pro K8600 Printer?
I'm trying to find the correct driver for Server 2008 R2 for an HP Officejet Pro K8600 Printer. This is a large format (tabloid or 11 x 17) inkjet printer. Either I haven't found the correct driver, or I haven't properly discovered the correct combination of settings to use to fix the problem I'm having. The problem is that every time I try to print a document that is 11 x 17, it ends up being printed as if the paper size is 8.5 x 11.
I've seen many people have similar problems where everything worked fine when they were using XP, but when they "upgraded" to Windows 7, they can't print 11 x 17 any more.
