If by "video" you mean "video", then no, otherwise yes.

No. Oh, unless you want to spend more money than the cost of Final Cut Pro.

Hi, I'm trying accomplish a quite simple task, change my password, but I am unable to reach the Apple ID site. I understand that there isn't much that any of you all can do about this, I just wanted to let Apple know about this issue and that process led me here.

Have you tried a clearing your browser's cache/history, closing/re-opening the browser, and/or tried a different browser ? You can also change your account's password by logging into the account via the Store > View Account menu option on a computer's iTunes, and by tapping on the id and logging into it in Settings > iTunes & App Store on an iOS device

QuickTime required. Free download on Apple Web Site

I have Snow Leopard, Quick Time X and Quick Time 7.6.3 installed on my system.
I can not see the video on Apple Web Site and get the message: "QuickTime required. Free download" and a link to download QuckTime

My HP C3180 printer has lost its printer connection. The download on the Apple support site downloads - but at the very end, I get an error message that my device cannot be found. Can anyone help?

This happened all of a sudden. Was it in response to a O/S 10 update? The download from the Apple icon does not show a software update is needed; so a new driver is not there. The download at the Apple Support site for HP printers downloads and seems to install until the end, when it says my device an HP C3180 cannot be found. Can anyone help?

If you know the thread or community that is sending you the emails you can go directly to those and skip the rest of this however if you don't remember or are still getting email after going to the community read on.
Stopping email from ths site can be difficult, it is a multi step procedure. See the link Stopping emails from ASC which Neil posted for all the details.

Safari Crashes on Apple Support Site

Using Tiger, Safari 2.0, when I try to enter the support section of the Apple.com site, Safari crashes. And on certain sites, I get the helvetica fractions fonts all over the place. I have looked at the html of some of these sites.
They may not be completly conforming to W3c standards, but you cannot expect just some ho-hum dudes on homestead to completly meet standards. As long as it isnt a security issue, a well designed browser should be able to see html my teenage daughter put together on Xanga without freaking out.
Quit blaming the websites, and design a useable browser.
IE may not have been the bomb, but it sure worked(s).

Since Safari is not crashing for me (or any other poster, to my knowledge) when entering the support section of Apple's web site, it would appear that your premise that the crash you are experiencing is a Safari problem is incorrect.
Since you seem to be having a font issue, have you tried to eliminate duplicate or corrupt fonts in your font book? Have you reset Safari, trashed the preference file (com.apple.safari.plist), and cleared the cache?

Here is my ASC work flow...
1) I login.
2) Block the automatic 30 minute logout.
     Unless you do something every thirty minutes you get logged out. The forum software waits to tell you this as long as it can to keep you in suspense ;-) . Filling out a reply is the exception to the thirty minute window.
        Start an auto reloader.

You need to pick a page that will reload over time without stalling out. It's ASC. I've found my profile display the best to use. I get my Profile page after some logins. It's ASC. Change rccharles to your apple id.

Reply technique
Open a new browser window. Pick some discussion. Open a reply window. As long as this reply window is open, you will stay logged in. The 30 minute times is reset as needed by the ASC software.
3) I open another window to do my normal ASC browsing.
4) I have a FireFox bookmark to goto the discussions that I have participated in. I've modified it to add on the content stuff.

7) Read and answer my old posts. I kind of memorize the time I last posted. ( It's way bad that apple eliminated the last poster to a thread. )
8) I use tabbed browsering. From a list of discussions, hold down the command key then click on the link. You get two tabs this way. The original window will keep where you have been.

What Is Wrong With The Apple Seminars site?

When I first got iWork '08 I paid a visit to the Apple Seminars site and viewed a seminar on a company called Sustainable Harvest that showed how to use iWork and other Apple software to advantage. I tried to revisit that site a few days ago and then again today but no luck! When I click on the Register button I keep getting an error message that says: "An Internal Server Error Has Occurred." Anybody know what's wrong and what I can do to fix it?

Problem watching trailers in Apple Web Site only

hi,
suddenly i have an odd prolbem in watching trailers at Apple's web site.
when im loading a trailer, it just indicating that the trailer is loaded and nothing happens, and the QuickTime Player is not even starting.
i have the latest version of quicktime, flash and shockwave and in other web sites i succeeded playing trailers , its only reproducing in apple site for some reason.
when i double Clicked on the bottom of the IExplorer to see Error messages,
i saw some quicktime error however i don't know if this error is related to the problem. the Error Message is : AC.Quicktime is null or not an object.
by the way, i don't think that this is the cause but im using Iexlporer 6 and not 7.

Amir, I'm also having a similar problem with watching trailers on Apple's site. I've tried with many of them.
Clicking on the "Small" button under "Standard" plays the movie fine inside of the browser. Clicking "480p" under "HD" takes focus away from the browser after a few seconds (and I can see QuickTimePlayer.exe appearing in Task Manager), but then nothing happens. The process, after a bunch of initial activity, just sits at zero CPU, going up to 2% periodically, as if checking on something. The player window never appears.
Here's what is more strange: if I click on the same trailer link again, it somehow kicks QuickTimePlayer.exe in the butt and soon two players will appear, one for each time I clicked. I've even tried this with other trailers, and clicking on the second one is (so far) a sure way for the player to finally do something besides sit in memory.
I'm using Windows XP Pro SP2 and QuickTime 7.6. I've tried with both Internet Explorer 6 and 7, and there's no difference in the behavior of the QuickTimePlayer. Other .mov files on the hard drive (like the sample.mov in the Program Files\QuickTime directory) play instantly. The QuickTime plug-in for IE still works for .mov files on other sites and other media (.aiff, etc.)... just not for the movies on Apple's own site
I haven't seen any warnings/errors, JavaScript is on, and I'm accepting the Active X notification on Apple's site.

Older post from apple support community delivered on gmail show in Mail App when new notification received

Hi all,
I am using Mail as a client to my Gmail account.
I am registered with such account to receive notification about new posts from Apple Support Communities on which I took part.
However when I receive a new mail notifications, I get a huge list of post, it basically seems the whole conversation.
Even if the grouping done by Mail App shows 1 message only, I can see lot of posts attached to the mail.
Apparently by deleting the group or the very latest mail, it deletes the whole conversation, but everytime a new mail arrives, the conversation shows again.
By doing a search for sender and subject on notification arrival, only one mail shows from the results.
When deleting the mail, the whole conversation gone from Mail App, did the search again with same criteria, and got 0 result.
Why this behavior ? Am I missing something ?

*I figured it out!*
Simple fix, here is what you do - open Mail v4.2 > Preferences
Select your Gmail account with this weird problem (I say select, cause in my situation I have multiple Gmail account setup but was having trouble with 1).
Then goto > Advanced tab
and then just type "/" (forward slash) - and then wait for a minute, it should fix it and allow to receive all the ghosts messages again - which apparently were visible under my online (web based) gmail.com's account also on my iPhone. You might see double messages, don't freak out like I did - Quit Mail v4.2 and restart that should go away as well, like in my case. Strange? Definitely

Wrong server address ---- needs to be changed on Apple ITUNES site

Dear Apple,
Please change our config to point to the right server for our campus.
I can not logout and login from our Apple ITUNES site because Apple has the wrong server address. Originally I signed up with www.belmont.edu but the actual ITUNES server is itunes.belmont.edu
also, if I leave open the client and select on a course the links are bad...point to the old server.

Looks like IIS can do redirects. Perhaps you can have your web support team do a redirect to the Apple supplied url.

How can I adjust contrast on Apple Support Sites, etc.

I have a great problem with Apple web content. Even this attempt to type my question is plagued by the same issue: There is not enough contrast between the letters I just typed, and their back ground. A big problem for me, as it seems the font color chosen by this apple web page and its background color chosen by this webpage, are creating an almost impossible eye strain and are terrible for people suffering from various forms of eye disease such as cataracts, makular degeneration, etc. I am one of them. I use Zoom for most of my computer work and generally can do everything on my Mac. Except change this lack of contrast on any website created by Apple web designers. Apple Update sites urging me to change my OS to Yosemite are completely unreadable to me! I need somebody to read its faded print to me. I dread to change to an OS that I probably cannot read because some web designer who want to design a contrast combination that is more "far out" than the previous one. There are millions having such eye diseases and computers are one way to let them enlarge and see things needed for their continued function. Contrast settings in Accessibilty Preferences do not alleviate the problem as they simply seem to make the screen brighter if increased.
Is there any Application that would let me change the contrast settings of a website designed by Apple?

Thanks for the hep I will contact the suggested Apple site. As a guy who worked with Apple computers since they were black and white pack-backs its nice to know that I am not the only one to notice that there is a big problem here.
I experimented again with the Accessibility Preferences/Contrast settings on my MacBook Air, and discovered that If I slide the indicator to the right to "Enhance Contrast", the opposite happens on my screen: I have less contrast so that grey fonts wash out into the white back-ground more and more as the pointer is moved to the right.
I never had to adjust the settings since I bought the MacBook with OS 10.6, and its function could have been reversed by OS upgrades since then o my present OS 10.8.5, or it could have been a problem since I bought the computer (used) from my Apple dealer.
I never had to adjust the contrast settings until now, since my eyes became weaker, and the Apple websites started using fonts of too similar a color to the background they are printed on.
So with that in mind it could be a hardware problem such as a reversed +/- wiring connection to the screen, a reversed diode on the motherboard, or a short in the diode wiring, a reversed OS code setting that reverses the direction of the contrast setting for its control.
It could also be Malware or a Virus, which has not been detected by the OS, nor the latest Norton on my Macbook Air..

Without know exactly what you did or what happened:
Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

Can no longer view videos on Apple web site

I'd like to watch the new iPad videos on Apple's web site but my iMac no longer loads them. I can view You Tube videos, movies, Quicktime etc. But on the Apple web site the video never loads. Any ideas why this might be? OSX 10.7.3 3.06 GHz Core Duo, 4G RAM.

If you having problems watching WWDC Keynotes, tutorials or Trailers on the Apple website, check your Quicktime Player 7 settings in System Preferences:
Under Streaming, set for Automatic, enable Instant On and Play Immediately.
Under Advanced, click Mime Settings and ensure that Streaming (both kinds) are enabled.
Note that if you are running Snow Leopard you should be using Quicktime Player 7 and not Quicktime 10. Snow Leopard does not have a QuickTime System Preference pane. No MIME Settings options. No streaming settings. If a User has migrated from 10.5.8 then those settings have moved over (but no changes can be made). QuickTime Player 7 is in your Applications/Utilities folder (if you've got it installed). If not you can install it from the Snow Leopard DVD (Optional Installs).
