Offline folders exclusion list for specific folders

Hello
First at all i apologize for my english.
we are trying around with the offline folders with windows 7 enterprise (x64) and server 2008R2 standard.
The synchronisation was set by GPO and it works.
Today we got the task that the user should only be able to synchronize files and not whole folders (with subfolders and all files in it).
Is it possbile to set an option (like the exclusion list for specific file types) to exclude folders from synchronizing?

Short answer: No.
(ok, you can exclude shares from being avail offline, but that was not
your question :))

Time machine doesn't honor exclusion list for initial backup

Hi all,
Have a MacBook Pro with Max OS X v 10.6.7 and 1 TB Time Capsule, where around 500 GB are already used for some files. For the initial Time Machine Backup I want to exclude my home directory, because it is quite large (around another 500 GB). Time Machine estimates around 32 GB for the Backup. I click on Backup Now and a couple of hours later I see still activity and has already backuped some 100s of Data including my home until it reaches the full space of the Time Capsule and crashes.
So my question is why does Time Machine does not honor my exclusion list, especially for the inital backup ?

Hi, downloaded also the Combo, which seems not be entitled for my MacBook Pro, which is a brandnew one with thunderbolt.

still no success ... Anyway as I have installed the OS from scratch with the 2 CDs two weeks ago without any issues I still wonder, what could cause the problem ... I mean, if in the property files the exception would not be there, I would think there is an issue ... but that's not the case.

Printing Song List for Specific Playlist

Until the recent upgrade to 8.2, when printing out a song list for each of the 70 plus playlists I have created, iTunes always printed, on the left margin of the header, the classic musical note icon identifying iTunes. With this last update, it has stopped printing that icon, making the newly printed pages different from the others already printed under prior versions. Any ideas on (1) why the icon has disappeared; (2) how to get it back; or (3) how to work around and force the display and print. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Showing process in tracking list for specific user

Hello
I have a process in which there are several Assign Tasks operations for users to fill out forms.
I want a specific user of my domain to be able to review every process instance that gets initiated, but I haven't figured out how to accomplish that without assigning the task to him. I've been playing with Task Access Control List and Delegation and Consultation properties, adding the specific user and group to the settings, but still can't view the processes in his tracking list.
Is there an option or workaround for his Tracking list to get populated?

You can create Custom Search Templates to search for certain process instances initiated by
all users.

Layout for packing list cannot be set for specific customers

It is not possible to set an standard layout for the packing list for specific customers. So, if you have layouts in different languages, you have to check the standard layout every time before you print and to set the right one. In other documents it is possible to set an standard layout for specific customers/suppliers for example depending on the language.

Disable Offline Folders in "OWA for Devices" App

Is there a way to disable Offline Folders in OWA for Devices?
I like this application, but it won't fly with security unless I can disable this Offline Folder feature. I already have offline folders disabled in OWA, but I guess it does not cross over into this space.

I don't understand what's 'Offline Folders'. Based on my knowledge, it is .ost on Outlook client.
If you talk about "Work Offline in OWA", we can disable it via Using Outlook Web
App offline.
However I can't find Exchange build-in method to disable this feature for "OWA for Devices".
I only find this AllowCopyContactsToDeviceAddressBook parameter in Set-OwaVirtualDirectory and Set-OwaMailboxPolicy cmdlets.
This parameter specificed if users can copy the contents of their Contacts folder to a mobile device’s native address book when using OWA for Devices.

It has an "!" To the left of the song title in my library
My worry is that if I sync my iPad/iPhone then I will lose the track on those also!

If you cannot find the file on your hard drive then once you delete the current broken entry you should be able to redownload from iTunes in the Cloud. This assumes the item in question qualifies. Note that audiobooks, digital booklets, iTunes LPs & Extras, ringtones, selected movies etc. don't.
If prompted don't hide the item. You may find that you need to close and then reopen iTunes before it will appear for download.

Is there a way to disable Offline Folders in the OWA for Devices mobile application? I have already disabled this setting in OWA, but this setting does not appear to cross over.

From your description, I would like to verify if you want to disable Offline Access in OWA. If yes, you can use the following cmdlet to check the result. If I have misunderstood your concern, please let me know.

Outlook Calendar Sync Issue "Microsoft Office Outlook Offline Folders"

I am experiencing an issue synchronizing my Outlook Calendar with my iPhone. I am using the latest version of Itunes (7.6.2.9).
To reproduce:
1) Sync Outlook calendar with Iphone.
In Outlook, the following error displays:
"Microsoft Office Outlook Offline Folders"
"The file C:\Documents and Settings\<name>\Local Settings\Application Data\microsoft\outlook\outlook.ost is in use and could not be accessed. Close any application that is using the file, and then try again."
At this point, in order to view any mail or calendar entries, I am required to reboot my computer and relaunch Outlook. I had to disable synchronization with the iphone.
I followed the troubleshooting Calendars hints from the Support site, and I clicked "Reset Sync History." This seems to have temporarily fixed the problem, but I am not confident I won't receive the error again.
Is there a permanent fix for this?

This may be more than a temporary fix, so I would wait and cross that bridge if and when the same error message turns up.

Syncing Offline Folders Across Multiple Machines

I have created several offline folders on my G4 laptop and G5 desktop that I would like to synchronize and keep synchronized in the future. The folders are not smart folders. I would appreciate it if anyone can provide some direction on how to accomplish this task. The folders that currently exist on each machine have my archived email and they are not the same, i.e. they do not have the same data although some of them have the same folder name. I have a .mac account and am using the sync function to sync the main mailbox.
I understand how to keep the online mailbox (name.mac.com) mailbox sync'd between machines but do not understand how to do the offline mailboxes.

There is no way to automatically synchronize mail stored locally. Only mail stored on the server can be synchronized -- that's precisely what IMAP accounts are for. You can manually import a mailbox from one computer into the other and remove duplicates afterwards, or you can overwrite the entire contents of the Mail database on one computer with what's on the other.

Is it possible for iphone 4s-io7- to show up offline in icloud list of devices even if thief erased iphone(found pssrd) or turned off fmi?

No, it means you have no information about your phone.
If you enabled Find my iPhone that also enabled Activation Lock. Even if the thief guessed your passcode they still could not disable Find my iPhone without knowing your Apple ID and password. The thief also only gets a limited number of tries to guess your passcode. If you had enabled "erase after 10 failed attempts" then the limit is 10. If you had not then after 10 or so the thief would have to wait before trying more, an the wait would get progressively longer with each failed attempt. So unless you have a really poor choice of passcodes (1111, 1234, etc) your content is reasonably safe.

Bridge missing offline folders

I have my "Documents" folder redirected to a network share. When I'm out of the office, I still have access to my documents through the Windows offline Folders feature. So in Windows Explorer I can navigate to my Documents folder and all of my files are there. When I reconnect to the office network any changed documents are sync'd with the network version.
In Bridge CS4 and offline, I'm not able to navigate to my Documents but instead get an empty directory.

In CS3 you go to the filter tab and look in right upper corner. There is a double headed arrow which give you options to sort by different categories, including by filename.

This issue is not related to consultant and it is related to end user. We have query which is already defined to pick up specifications with material.Now they have requested us to get the query even there is no material assigned to specifications.
So we have planned to remove material from query, so if we remove ESTMJ from query whether it will have impact on some other tables.(like ESTDJ,ESTRH,ESDTH,etc..)
