Offline Processing

Hello. I'm having trouble with the offline processing. I set it up properly and I did a test purchase. I recieved the email but I didn't receive the PDF that's suppose to come with the email. Also when I went to the order on the backend, it didn't show the credit card info so my client can complete the purchase with the merchant that's not connected with BC.
Another thing is when I look at the Offline Payment tab, I see this.
How do I solve this problem? I need help ASAP. Thanks!

Not much info to go on but it sounds like you have not got it set up properly.
In terms of the order itself and the BC system NO credit card information is stored for security reasons to meet the level one PCI compliance BC has.
Did you follow the documentation for the setup with the offline in the payment gateway section?

  • Offline Processing Credit Card

Since the secure PDF, which is used to supply the secure CC info to the vendor, no longer includes the CCV that payment forms collect, the Payment Gateway selection of Offline Processing (Process Manually Via Existing Facility) no longer makes any sense to offer as an option. CCV is needed to process credit card by many virtual terminals, including the one in BC itself. The problem is that BC never made an extra effort to notify business owners or partners to be aware of this change. Instead, it just released a document http://helpx.adobe.com/business-catalyst/kb/offline-processing-changes---post.html, which mentions the change in PDF delivery but not the change in the PDF content. If you ask the BC support about it, they will point you to the document http://helpx.adobe.com/business-catalyst/partner/setting-process-offline-payment-gateway.h tml which at the very end mentions that Business Catalyst does not collect CVV, CVV2, CVC2 & CID as per PCI standards. This may be legally satisfying buy practically useless. Which business owner or partner reads every document that BC publishes? As a consequence, business owners who were using offline payments were all of a sudden not able to process the payments they had received through online sales. Instead, they had to contact each one of their payees and request the CCV over the phone or e-mail.
BC should find a way to include the CCV and find a better way to inform business owners when making changes that impacts payment collections. Is it stands now, the Offline Payment is not practical to use and can create problems of which business owners are not aware of unless they stumbled on the article I pointed out above.

Tried it ... but does not work on submit!  ...
I can  get the auto- populate to work on my custom CCV field OK ... ( it looks great before submit! )
but when I summit ...  the info is wiped!
    here's the script I used :
    <script type="text/javascript">
        jQuery("#CardCCV").blur(function(){
            jQuery("#CCV").val(jQuery("#CardCCV").val());
    </script>
    Any suggestions?

  • Offline Processing without requiring credit card details ?

    Hi Folks,
I would like to set up offline processing for customers who have registered electronic bank transfers with my client (i.e., they do not need to supply their bank details) - Is it possible to set up an online shop where customers can order products from the wholesaler without having to pay on the spot or provide credit card details?
    Thanks in advance!!

  • Documentation of Offline-Process

    Hi,
is there any document detailing the process for creating and accessing offline-accessible, policy-protected documents? Something, we could hand to our security guys for an evaluation would be really helpful.
    TIA,
    Nicholas
    Edit:
I already looked through the documentation at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/documentation.html an couldn't find anything.

I don't know of any official documentation, but I wrote this overview of the process a while back...
The basics of how offline authentication works are as follows:
When the “offline” permission is assigned to a user in the policy, the policy information and document encryption key are encrypted by a 256 bit AES principal key (generated by the PM server).  The policy information and document encryption key are embedded in the policy protected PDF, and the corresponding Principal Key is downloaded to the users client machine.
For each user that has offline permissions (for a particular document) they will have a corresponding principal key.  Whenever a connection to the Rights Management server is established (a rights managed document is opened, the user invokes the “Synchronize for offline” from Adobe Reader or Acrobat) The principal key(s) is downloaded to the client machine and stored in the microsafe.  The microsafe is essentially an encrypted database that is associated with the user account on the client machine.
For example, when I log onto my computer as “sforrest” I have a microsafe available to me that stores my principal keys.  When I open a document offline for which I have permissions, the Microsafe is accessed and the protected documents corresponding principal key is retrieved and used to decrypt the document key that is embedded in the rights managed document.  The document key is then used to decrypt the document itself.
    Things to note:
There is one principal key per user, per document that the user has been given offline permissions.  i.e. If I have 10 PDFs that I am allowed to view offline, then I will have 10 principal keys in my Microsafe.
There is a microsafe for each user (tied to their profile\user account) on the client machine.  For example, if I logon to my Windows machine, when I open a rights managed PDF (offline) that I have permissions to view in the policy, I will NOT be prompted for a user name and password as I have already authenticated to the client machine, and therefore my microsafe.
If the policy was configured to “audit” events, the events will still be recorded when the document is accessed offline and stored locally until a connection is established to the RM server, at which time the recorded events will be uploaded to the RM server.
As for custom authentication, I don’t believe there would be any difference in the offline behaviour, as all of the information I noted above would would still be relevant.  The “offline” authentication method would be independent of the authentication steps taken when a connection to the RM server is available and online authentication takes place.
    Hope this helps.

  • Multi-currency site with offline processing

Is it possible to have a Multi-currency site with offline credit card processing?  The offline credit card facility would be in Australia, so all transactions would be in Australian dollars, but the site would display either AUD or USD, depending on the user's selection.

To display prices in different currencies you will need to setup different domains or subdomains for each currency as per this article http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/521/bc_521.html

  • Downconverting and offline process

Let me start by saying I am new to the HD editing world and the process of offline editing, so please be gentle. Here's what I have:
8 hours of DVCPRO HD - 24p from a VariCam
    Final Cut Studio
So, I want to edit this using the offline method as my computer doesn't like editing HD too much. So, I gathered all my footage into my project and went to the Media Manager. I selected the Re-compress option, but as far a codec's go, I was looking in two directions: DV or Apple Intermediate Codec. It seems like the Apple Intermediate Codec would be the way to go, offering slightly smaller file sizes, but what is it? I've never heard of this codec before. Would it be a better choice than DV?
Also, once this re-compressing is done, I can edit using the low-quality files and then simply reconnect the original HD media when ready to output, correct? Should I expect any problems with this workflow?
    Thanks all

I saw an Uncompressed HD codec that will shrink the files dramaticly.
UNCOMPRESSE HD CODEC? Hardly. Where did you see that?
Uncompressed HD codecs are far larger than DVCPRO HD. The beauty of DVCPRO HD is the quality you get out of such a small file size. This really is the lowest HD format I'd consider editing with. Many people shoot film and use this codec to OFFLINE (ie Walter Murch for JARHEAD) and many who shoot and master to uncompressed HD on HDCAM or D5 use this codec for offlining as well. And I too am doing that. While all my masters are DVCPRO HD from the varicam and HVX-200, we will upconvert to 10-bit uncompressed HD and output to HDCAM.
There is H.264, but that is a web delivery codec only. Not editable. Your best bet is the DV path
8 hours of footage can take anywhere from 171 GB of space (720p24) to 420GB of space (720p60). Very little space. DV at 29.97 takes up 13.6 GB for an hour while DVCPRO HD takes 21 GB/hour (23.98fps) to 53GB/hour (59.94fps)
I have 72 hours of footage on 1.3TB of storage.

  • Looking to edit specific payment types for Offline Processing Form

I cant seem to find the form/venue to specify which payments are acceptable with offline payments.
I am looking to restrict this selection to only a few items and it doesnt seem to have an interface to edit it.
    -T

Not exactly. I am taking over for another dev and they created webforms to be used in the offline payment gateway, but then they opted to use a custom one and didn't document.
The solution was to edit the submission form directly rather than assume the designated WSIWYG form was the module being used (it wasn't).
I appreciate the help, but it ended up being lack of documentation on the dev's part and not an interface problem.
    Thanks!

  • Where is the CCV number stored for offline processing? I cannot see it the secure PDF document

Please note that we will not collect CVV, CVV2, CVC2 & CID as per PCI standards.
A Card Verification Value code, CVV, (CVV2 for Visa, CVC2 for MasterCard and CID for AMEX) is the three or four digit number located either on the front or back of a credit or debit card. The effectiveness of this code is limited to the ability to keep it out of the hands of hackers and thief's, which is why it is prohibited by PCI Standards from being stored in any shape of format.

    Hey kathys25866299,
Please ask your coworker to save the PDF in a different folder with administrative privileges.
Also, try annotating some other PDF and check if the same problem appears.
Has she tried sending the PDF via different email system (other than Outlook) after reviewing.
    Let me know.

  • NEED OFFLINE PROCESSING

I have this audio file I just imported into this logic project.
It's opened in the audio editor.
I need noise reduction, so I do 'locate file in finder' because I need a thrid party audio editor (when using logic).
..I open the file in Bias Peak, do the noise reduction..
Done--save file -- and back to Logic I am.
'Refresh Overview' now in the audio window to update the file info.
    And now?..--> the ENTIRE SONG,
All of the song's plugins and patches have to RELOAD.
    The whole program reboots.
    Huh?
Why not enhance the audio editing window into a proper audio editing window, in which I can select all or part of a file, apply any of my plugins to the selection, and be done with it?
The current workaround is to put the file into a track, and bounce it to a *completely different file* using plugins, since you *can't save the edited version as its own name * when applying effects to it.
...sometimes you just want to apply a plugin to a selection and save the file (as itself).
Rebooting the entire song when reloading the edited audio is a little wierd.

    There's a key command like
    "open with/start external sample editor"
just search "external". I use it to fire Peak up all the time.
You can use Logic to create Backups of audio files-there is a command "revert to backup"
Do your edit, when you return it should just calculate-not reboot everything

  • Offline payment processing credit card payments failing

Hey guys...I've been struggling with this strange behavior on a clients site that I just can't seem to figure out.  It's a basic shop through and through and we're using offline processing for his payments.  I've never had any issues with this before but for whatever reason, everytime a user fills out the registration for purchase form, I'm getting a credit card processing failure error.
The gateway is setup properly, the form is using the Credit Card Processing (ie: NOT update CC info) fields, and no fields are missing.  I'm baffled.  Any ideas?

nevermind...I was using options for a select fieldset that had different values than what BC uses...stupid mistake

  • Lock-In Amplifier and offline data processing

    Hi everyone,
I've been successfully using the Lock-In Amplifier to do live data processing. The processed Lock-In outputs and the frequency values are then saved. Recently it has turned out that the real acquisition capabilities needed mean that online processing is not possibe. (As 4 channels are being simultaneously sampled each at 4Mhz and acquiring for several seconds.) I have built the Lock-In Amplifier into an offline processing VI where I strip out the arrays for Channel 0 (Signal) and Channel 1 (Reference) and send chunks of data to the Lock-In. I wanted to check that the Lock-In doesn't have any problems working offline? Are there any other things I need to know for offline processing?
    Many thanks

    Hi,
I've not personally had the change to use Lock In Amplifiers with our hardware yet, but from searching through the LabVIEW developer zone I came across this example VI, I hope it's some help to you: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/4532

  • DVCPRO HD 59.94 to offline RT - multiclip doesn't play back in Viewer

    Hello,
I have 3 streams of DVCPRO HD multiclip'd in a DVCPRO HD timeline (59.94, 960 x 720). When I use media manager to offline it, I get a warning about the framerate being retained (59.94) instead of offlining it to 29.97
Offline media results in 59.94 framerate and the the offline timeline requires no render. However, FCP will not play back the clips in realtime in the Viewer. I can cut on the fly but even the Canvas doesn't update with the most recent "cut-to" angle. For instance, playing down timeline in realtime with angle 1...cut video to angle 2...the cut is registered but the Canvas still shows angle 1 footage until playhead is stopped.
A few notes...Only one of the original streams is native DVCPRO HD. The other two streams are HDV 1 and HDV 2 transcoded to DVCPRO HD using Compressor.
    OS 10.4.11
    FCP 6.0.2
    QT 7.4.1
1st gen Intel iMac 17" 1.83ghz core duo 2GB RaM
    Thanks!

Nevermind, got it! Don't ask though, nothing "technical" fixed it.
After doing the media manager offline, a new project opened with 2 of the clips being offline. I was warned during the offline process that the 2 clips couldn't be offlined and presented with options to skip, retry, and abort. I skipped both times and the new media files remained intact on the hard drive. However, both of them had funky numbers/letters at the end of the name (as if to say the original clip names were too long, they were appended part-way through each file name with, for example, "#5692")
Anyway, I reconnected the offline media to the clips and, voila, the offline timeline now plays back the multiclip in realtime both Viewer and Canvas, hooray!

    Hi All,
I am currently working on a offline scenario wherein the requestor is supposed to attach a file to his Adobe Form before submitting.
Now my requirement is to check if there is an attachment with the form(offline) on the click of the submit button.
    Any pointers on this..??
    Any help will be appreciated..
PS: This is an offline process.
