Offloading pics from card naming files with date not available

I finally used Lightroom to offload pictures from my card instead of just pulling them from my hard drive.
I liked all the options it gave you for offloading naming conventions etc.
Except the 2 things that I have been doing for the past 3 years with Nikon View/Transfer, Lightroom wont let me do :(
I off load my pictures with a short name and allow the software to pick up on the date and use the date in the name and also add sequencial number.
So if I took pictures on three separate days and didnt offload them, at least when I used Nikon Transfer it would recognize the shot date, for each individual picture automatically along with allowing me to add a prefix ie.

Right now the only thing close is to pick my own name and use the date I took the pictures as part of the file name.
Only problem is when I take pictures for more than one day.
Lightroom will only allow me the following

snow_storm_2007-02-10_3
I dont want to off load with just the date as a file name because I will have to go back to rename them in a batch just to add a prefix and that allows room for error when offloading 300+ photos.
Can this option be added for offloading?
Its really going to impact my well organized work flow :(

I second this request, as I want a similar naming convention. At present, I have to do it post-import by renaming within each day's directory.

Disk quota data not available.

I've got quotas enabled for my home dir volume, quotas set for all my users, and they appear to be working (logged-in users show the appropriate amount of space remaining in their home dirs).
But clicking on the Quotas section of Server Admin nets me a blank log page with "Data not available" at the top.
I've seen the quota chart on this machine before in earlier test builds, so I know what I should be expecting, but can't figure out why it's not showing up. Any ideas?
How do I rebuild or reindex the quota system, if that's what I need to do?

We are having the same issue since upgrading to 10.4.11. Currently we are investigating the possibility of accessing this information through the terminal using the 'quota' tools. I do not have ready access to the server though so progress is slow.
As far as I can make out if you can run 'fsck' this will the ASCII files that the user and group quotas are stored in and may effect a repair. I haven't yet been able to try this to see if it will work.
Anyone else got any suggestions?

I can't use thunderbird 31.2.0 (Mozilla) to send attachement from a pdf file with Acrobat PRO XI. Each time, Acrobat replies (in french) : "il n'y a pas de client pour la messagerie par défaut". Thunderbird is indicated as "by default" in the list of programs of Windows.
Even if I type my e-mail address, etc. in the account of Acrobat, it doesn't change. Each time, I have to record a PDF file in a folder and return to Thunderbird to send it as attached. It is a too long process, compared with Windows XP with Acrobat Reader or Acrobat 5, I had before.
Would you please help me to explain the process. My OS is Windows 8.1.

Saving a file with data?

HI, I am wanting to save a file with data, can some one point me in the right direction to a tut or some thing. Thanks.

I have sorted what I was wanting to do. there was some code missing from the coding as well as the import function.
No you don't have to be 'god' but if some one just handed you a russian/english dictionary you would still have a difficult time making a sentance or even a DVD with every thing there is to know speaking gaelic.
You have to learn more than just the syntax. sorry I'm not the best person in the world for understanding docs etc, but we all have our good points, ask me any thing else on computers and networks I'll give a plain english answer, wood chips and all.

I am trying to create a print ready PDF from a word file with unacceptable results.
The word file has a trim size of 6” x 9”. It has been set to mirror margins with the inner, top and bottom margins set to 0.75”, the outer margin is set to 0.5” and the gutter to 0.14”.
It doesn’t matter if I create the PDF from inside Word, or open Acrobat Pro 11.0.9 and click Create From File, while the resulting document size is correct and the odd numbered pages reflect the correct margins, the even numbered pages do not. This results in some text near the outer margin, as well as the page numbers being omitted.
Does anyone know how to correct this?
I just noticed that some of the odd numbered pages' text is also cropped. Apparently Acrobat is refusing to set side margins to smaller than 1" (@ 3cm).

I operate a small publishing house and am trying to upload certain novels to Ingram, the largest book distributor in the world. The specifications I've set are the specifications they've asked for. Since they've said that the results I'm obtaining are unacceptable, and since they demand submission in PDF form, this renders Acrobat Pro for Mac completely unacceptable for anyone in the publication industry. Need to rescue Garage Band Files with Data Rescue II - what kind of files?

Hi all -
After a particularly gruesome computer crash, I am trying to reconstruct my lost files using Data Rescue II..... This program goes into the damaged hard drive and downloads all intact files it can find, but it is NOT able to label everything correctly. All it can do is divide things into folders - Audio files, document files, images, mail, misc., and movies. And within these folders are other folders - for instance, in the "Audio" rescued folder, there are hundreds of AIFF files, AIFF1 files, AIFF2, MP3, WAV, m4a, and m4p files.
My question is: can someone please tell me what the heck a Garage Band project file is? That would save me a lot of time in digging through all this material trying to find one....
(Don't get me wrong... I'm grateful to have stuff to dig through! I just hope my Garage Band files are intact and recoverable.)
Has anyone had success saving Garage Band files with Data Rescue II?

I spoke too soon. Yes,I did indeed find the file that contained all the files I needed to retrieve (using Disk Rescue II). When my 6-hour download of the 78 GB folder finished, I check the files again, and they weren't located in the orphaned section, but in the Hard Drive section under the normal directory, in a folder called .Trashes - within that there was another folder called "501", which contained all the Garageband files I needed to retrieve. However, when I tried to open the downloaded "rescued" files, they were inside a folder called "Macintosh HD", which could not be opened, and I got a message that said "Could not be opened because you do not have sufficient access privileges." Not only that, but even after 6 hours of (apparently) downloading the 78 GB folder, my hard drive, which had close to 83 GB of free space, said STILL had almost that same amount.
So did it download anything or not? What was it doing all those 6 hours? I have a file that I can't open, but apparently it's going to be empty anyway.
Here's the full story, for anyone with the patience to listen and offer advice. It looks like now I'm looking for a way to 1) get the permissions to open the .trashes file so that I can download everything, or 2) figure out a way to get Disk Rescue II to open the files and download them regardless of the permissions.
Full Story -
I am pretty sure that my computer crash was caused by working with the newest version of Garageband 08. Ever since buying it and loading it, my computer has been acting funny whenever I use the Garage Band program - I could only record about one in three attempts since the computer kept freezing as soon as I finished recording a line. I would have to use force restart to get going again.
The day the computer crashed, I was working on a Garage Band project, which kept crashing, and I was also using Finale, Microsoft Word, and iTunes -- all of which are my normal procedure and I'd never had any problems with anything before loading the new Garage Band 08. (See my posts on other discussion topics for more details). After the last freeze, the computer crashed totally and could not be restarted - it would get to the gray screen with the spinning gear and just sit there while the fans ramped up to overload.
I used Disk Warrior to rescue whatever files I could onto an external hard drive, and I started to download all the Garage Band files. However, the "estimated time to completion" said over 6 hours , so I stopped the download after a minute or so and went on to rescue all the other files that were smaller in size and easier to download - I figured I'd set Disk Warrior to download the whole 78 GB set of Garage Band files overnight while I slept. But....when I went back to begin the download again, I noticed that the directory of Garage Band files went only to the letter "C" instead of all the way to "Z" like my original files had done during that earlier attempt to download. I am assuming that somehow, the directory for the files I download before aborting the attempt (A-C) got exchanged with the directories of the original version (A-Z), but the original directory was no where to be found.
I decided to try an archive install in the hopes that I could just restart my computer and get the files out by hand. The archive install went fine, and the computer started up fine and got to the log-in screen, which had changed. I now had two blanks - one for user name and one for password, instead of the choices of names. I tried all my user names and passwords, and asked my wife for her names and passcodes, but nothing worked. The computer had apparently re-set all its permissions and User accounts. I tried using Disk Utility to reset the password in its opening screens, but instead of getting several User options, the only one it allowed me to attempt was "System Administrator (root)", and even that wouldn't let me in to change any passwords.
That's when I downloaded Data Rescue II, which does seem to do a good job of locating lost files. However, since I didn't have permissions to open the computer the last time, I am still apparently facing the same thing when I try to access files copies OFF the computer.
So I'm not out of the woods yet. I can see the files on the Data Rescue screen, but I don't know whether they have permissions tied to them or not, and if they do, whether the system would let me since I don't know what the passwords and user names have defaulted back to.
Any advice? Please?

If your using File>Place then photoshop cs2 creates what's known as Smart Objects, which photoshop 7 didn't have.
In photoshop cs2 you can rasterize the smart objects and that should make the Cut function available.
Select both placed layers, right click on the area to the right of the tumbnail and select Rasterize Layers.
If in photoshop cs2 you to Help>Photoshop Help and look under Layers>Smart Objects, that should give you a good overview of what smart objects are.

Overlooking the fact that the part number in the comment does not match, how this is different from parts 51C and 51X which also has a Four Wheel Drive and a Rear Wheel Drive?
I guess the real question is how do I know what "all available options" are? I would kind of expect a table which defines this.
And please don't forget to tell us which version of SQL Server you are using!

We implemented UNDO management on our servers and started getting these errors for few of our programs.:
ORA-08176: consistent read failure; rollback data not available
These errors were not coming when we were using the old rollback segments and we have not changed any code on our server.
1. What is possibly causing these errors?
2. Why did they not surface with rollback segments but started appearing when we implemented AUM and Temporary TS (instead of fixed TS used as temporary TS).
Our environment:
RDBMS Version: 9.2.0.5

"Mobile Data Not Available", Nokia 700

Hey all,
I have a bare bones pay-as-you-go plan. All I get are free unlimited texts and free unlimited calls (within the country). I get no data and, frankly, I don't care for data. I do get annoyed that every so often while playing Angry Birds or using Nokia Maps or any of a number of other applications I will get the "Mobile Data Not Available" notice. How can I disable this notice? It is tiring and I KNOW I don't have Mobile Data. Duh! Thanks in advance for any help.
