Oh Help!!New to iPods, downloaded songs and when pressed sync,it didnt work

Well, when I pressed Sync, that was grand, all the tunes I had in my Library from cds went onto my iPod, but I also bought 5 songs and it told me some of the iTunes in the library wernt copied to iPod because u are not autherized to play them on this computer. These were all the songs I had downloaded.
Im very upset and I need help, so If u think u know what to do I'd appreciate any help anyone could give!

I have had this same problem.
I have
1)sync'd my ipod using both automatic and manual
2)dragged and dropped songs and audio books
3)deauthorized and re-authorized my computer
4) played the songs for a minute or two
Stil no luck, I cannot get the purchased songs to my ipod.
I do not want to restore my ipod, the last time I did that it completely corrupted the unit and I had to replace it.
This is now my 3rd ipod, all have had software problems of some kind.
Any other suggestions?

I have had this ipod about a year and I found out that the file with an exclamaition point means corrupted. Well I read enough on ipod support update my itunes and when that didnt work I tried to restore my ipod to factory settings. Every time I try to restore it a box saying "There was a problem downloading the ipod software iPod "iPod". The requested resource was not found." Please help I am about to give up on it, I have tried since Christmas to fix it.

Ok you got to make sure that you are the adiminstrtor on the computer. After you do that right click on my computer and hit properties. Make sure under the general tab that you are running windows (2000) service pack (4) or Windows XP Home or Pro service pack (2). After you have established that type in on the support search box uninstall itunes and quicktime for windows. Then once you have downloaded itunes restore the ipod and see if this fixes your problem.

I have downloaded songs and when I play them they stop playing. I have to hit the sleep/wake button for the ipod to come on and hit play, then the song will continue playing where it left off

Why are songs cutting out in the middle and my ipod shutting down?I have to hit the sleep/wake button to turn it back on and hit play again. Then, the songs will play from where it left off.

I want my songs back, i have paid for these songs I would like to listen to them on my iPod. It's that simple. I don't want to have to pay someone to fix my iPod over the phone. hi, i just got a new 80gb ipod for xmas, and when i plug the usb cable to my ipod, it connects sometimes, and sometimes doesnt, and when it does, it disconnects sometimes too, i usually have to keep moving into different usb ports and one will work, then not work again, then work again later. i even tried my friends cable and its the same thing, i think somethings wrong with the port in the ipod, can anyone help ?

Turn it off. If it got wet somehow, you may try drying your ipod off. The slow method would be a sunny window sill. You could use a hair dryer on LOW, pointing it at the contacts. When it drys out, charge itand try a hard-reset. If it still doesn't function properly.... ?

I have an article for you that can provide some helpful troubleshooting steps to address your issue:
No sound through stereo headset1
Inspect the headset jack for debris and clean if necessary.
Connect the headset and make sure the connector is pushed in all the way.
Check the volume setting. Adjust the volume by pressing the volume up and down button on the left side of the iPhone.
If you are trying to listen to music and cannot hear any audio, make sure that the music on iPhone is not paused. Try squeezing the headset microphone to resume playback. Additionally, from the Home screen you can choose iPod > Now Playing, then tap Play.
Make sure the latest version of iTunes is installed on the computer that you are syncing the iPhone with (songs purchased from the iTunes Store using earlier versions of iTunes won't play).
Try another Apple headset (some third-party headsets require an adapter to be used with original iPhone).
Try a different song or video.
Check to see if the iPhone alert sounds or other iPhone sound effects exhibit the same audio issues.
Disconnect the headset from the iPhone and see if sound comes from the built-in speaker.

I recently tried downloading the IOS8 to my iPod 5th generation and when it was almost done the computer said there was an error. Right after that, the iPod shut down completely and now it's on recovery mode. I plugged it in and it said that I had to restore it and update it so I could use it again but it doesn't let me. What can I do? I even did a backup before the update.

What happens when you connect to computer and restore via iTunes?
Without knowing that:
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

hmmmm. some other connection issues have been known to cause the -69, although under those circumstances people more typically get the "disk cannot be read from or written to" error message.
working on that theory, let's see if anything in this document helps:

READ THE WHOLE THING. I went to download a Taylor Swift CD to my ipod. I imported it like usual then hit sync. It didnt work. I tried importing it again and syncing it didnt work. So in the top menu where it says music, summary, ipod etc, I clicked on music. The box where it said sync songs was not checked so I checked it a pop up came up so I hit ok. Needless to say all my songs EXCEPT the Taylor Swift ones are not on my ipod! I have tried everthing to get the songs back. The funny thing is when I go to library all my songs are in it but when I g to songs it only says there 16... Please reply to this question... I wont my songs back...
