Don't write anything to that drive. Try Data Rescue II. As a trial you can check if the file can be recovered. To recover you need to purchase it.

I'm typing to you from my ORIGINAL Apple .me account from "back in the day. I didn't make the 2012 cut off date to move over to iCloud. One day I had some time and contacted Apple. the rep. 'helped me'
At the time I couldn't remember my password. In the end he made me a new account. Then I found my password. He said it wasn't important. That I could just use both and since my original had most of my apps on it just to remember that and download to that one most of the time. Vut that I could use both.
But now I have TWO APPLE .ME accounts (one original with lots of purchased apps that purchase keys, who knows where those are) and another APPLE ME id with other apps ....some purchased also. Only....THIS 2nd one he made my MAIN ICLOUD account! this is the one with less apps, I have iMatch and Find my iPad on it. But I just realized this last night. this has been going on for about 2 years now!
I don't use either .me nor iCloud to send or receive emails, but I need to "merge" I suppose both my .me accounts so I can have all my apps not loose my pictures, movies, etc.
Can this be done?Sorry, content bought with one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.

I have created an extra large (10"-13") Photo Essay style iBook in Aperture and just realized that all my other iBooks are 8.5"-11". How can I transfer all the formatted pages to the smaller book size without having to start over? Thanks so much for your help.

that will require some extra work. If you change the book size, some of your edits will probably be lost, because texts and photos that will not fit the smaller layout will be removed. The best you can do will be to save your current book, so you can compare. Try the following:
Create a PDF preview of the current version of the book and save the PDF, see: iPhoto, Aperture: Previewing an order in iPhoto or Aperture
Duplicate the book: File > Duplicate
Then change the Book Sizeof the copy (from the Theme Button) and compare, what is missing, hopefully not to much.

I have iMovie 8.0.6 and an iPhone 4S. I took hours of videos on vacation (Australia and New Zealand) and want to make a movie. I've imported the first batch into iMovie and started the project. I just realized that I shot both horizontally and vertically and when I preview (on full-screen) what I've combined, first it's wide-screen, then it's tall, narrow with wide black sides.
The film looks choppy, no flow, since it alternates horizontally and vertically.
I can import the vertical clips two ways: "Full-Original Size", or "Large 960x540." But the vertical clips have very short, fat people.
This didn't happen with my Flip HD; the movies are smooth and terrific. My heart is breaking.....please, how can I make the videos match?Yes, I'd like to use all the video I shot, put it together with music, titles, etc. and make it consistant. when it goes from full screen to this vertical, narrow clip, it's very awkward.....and it's so narrow, it's hard to see what I'm looking at; my eyes don't make the adjustment quickly.

Check if the drive is now working.
If the drive still doesn't work, open All Programs, open Accessories, right click the Command Prompt and select 'Run as Administrator'. In to the prompt type the following command and hit enter.
sfc /scannow ( note that there is a space between sfc and the / )
Let the process complete, then type exit and hit enter.
Next, click the Start Menu, open the Control Panel and click on Device Manager. Next click to open DVD/CD-ROM Drives. Right click the drive and select uninstall. Do not delete drivers if asked. When the device has uninstalled click on the 'Scan for Hardware Changes' icon ( usually just below Help on the toolbar ). Let windows reinstall the drive and see if it now works.

I have purchased the last Creative Suite available on disk. It will load on my old Mac Book Pro. I just bought a new Mac Book Pro and just realized there is no place to put a disk. Is there any way to load the programs to my new computer?
Buy an external optical drive such as the Apple USB SuperDrive that is made specifically for that model.
Use the optical drive of your old MBP to clone the DVDs to USB flash drives, then install from the flash drives.
Connect both computers to your local network and then share the optical drive to install the software. -

Did you buy the phone from the store in the country you intend to USE the iPhone? If you bought the phone in the US store and intend to use it OUTSIDE the US, you only have yourself to blame, as they shipped the CORRECT phone for use in the US.

Whe I tried the nordic release, I was like a kid having his first train set. I was in awe for the fact it is really different from GB. However, I am a grown up and the kid sensation could not last a week, I figured out that the new toy can't be used in real world. I do not want to be constantly thinking about how my phone is going to performed the next minute I need to use it. I need something that will be ready in almost an instant because when you go out to work, you just have no time figuring out why the darn phone is lagging, why the WiFi fails to lock, why it takes sometime for the phonebook to load, why the screen seems to stutter when I brush my finger accross it... in short, I went back to GB, rooted my phone and finalized it so I need not bother myself if ICS is already behaved.
I still like my Neo V so much. -

I have just realized how important it is to know how your hardware...
...is recording video/sending video to the application you are capturing.
take for instance my capture card sends top field first.. if i use AIC codec and choose top field dominence I get wonderful translation. If I choose bottom field I get mouse teeth and other issues.
This application isn't a one click app for the home user. I had a hard time finding that out, but in doing so i have more than accomplished my goals using Compressor. Just recently though.
I am still tinkering.
Just and FYIThe iPad will be $329 AUD if replaced via postage service or $309 AUD if replaced at an Apple Store. Yes they will give you the replacement and take your old iPad so I would suggest if you can back it up to iTunes so that you can restore the back up to the replacement.
