OH MY GOD PLEASE HELP - my 5 years worth of things ALL GONE!!!!!! (URGENT!)

Someone gave me a video to watch therefore i followed it and thought it'll help restore my exteral hard drive because it wasn't showing up.
I went to disk Utility and I clicked on security options and chose ''Erase zero datas'' then I clicked on ''erase''.
I got a bit...worried so i tried to stop it but it didn't stop and when it did..I opened my external hard drive and all my file are GONE!!
Is there a way I can restore my things..THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE..

If you started it erasing, then you're probably out of luck even if you then cancelled the erase. You can try one of the data recovery tools such as Data Rescue II or File Salvage and see if they can do anything for you. If not, a data recovery service will be your only hope, and as Engineer said, they're expensive and by no means guaranteed.
Moral of the story: don't perform a function, particularly anything that may make major changes to a disk volume, without knowing exactly what you're doing, particularly when you're working on your only copy of important documents (and second moral: backup, backup, backup!!!)

I don't know about your camera roll, but for photostream just do this:
Go into Settings > iCloud > Delete Account and then sign back in using your Apple ID information.
Make sure to do the same thing with your iTunes and App Store options.
Settings > iTunes and App Store > Click Email and sign out, then sign back in.

Did you change the ID you are using for iCoud? If so, did you delete the account, then sign back in with your new ID on your device?

Had you never backed up the phone before? When you saw the iTunes logo and cable, the device was in recovery mode. The data was already lost. The only way to recover from that is to restore the device, which will delete all of your data. You will only be able to restore to your last backup, whenever that was. Sorry this happened, but this highlights the importance of doing regular backups. The backup is the only protection you have against a problem like this.

Ok, so logic pro 7 was running fine this morning no problem. Went to boot up a couple of hours ago, and i get this message;
System Clock Wrong!
The system clock on your machine is wrong! Check the time, date and time zone settings.
I did, and they are correct. I've tried changing all three and yet i still get this message. What is going on? Any takers?

If you search for Pro App Support on this forum you will see how important it is. Why it isn't included on the Logic Pro disk, I don't know.
Resetting file permissions: This should be done after any software install or system upgrade. Go to your Utilities forlder in the Applications folder. In Utitlites you will find Diskutility.app. Open it. On the left side, select your disk that contains the system sorftware (If you only have one disk, that will be the only one that shows). There will now be an opportunity to repair file permissions. It will take a few minutes. Restart the computer.
To reset the power management, restart the computer holding down the Command (apple) option (alt) and shift keys
As far as the Logic version is concerned, open logic, then under the Logic Menu select About Logic. There you will find which version you are running. 7.0 is the original 7 version, later upgraded to 7.0.1. You can get this upgrade free from the Apple web site (Support>downloads, then search for Logic Pro). The most stable version in OSX.4 is Logic 7.1 which requires a new install disk and can be bought from apple for about £20 (I don't know what they were charged in the US for dollars).
Try all of these things, then if you still have trouble come back to us.
My gut feeling is that file permissions are the most likely cause.

PLEASE HELP ME! Mozilla Sync just lost all of my bookmarks after a format

After so long of using Weave then switching to Sync.. I think I finally lost my bookmarks (and everything else Sync saves) and I have --absolutely no clue how--
I had to format after a very mean trojan, and a few minutes ago i just installed firefox and sync -- I selected "Merge my bookmarks" and nothing happened, so frantically I tried all kinds of things -- after clicking on the "replace" option (and not actually doing it) it states I had 64 bookmarks although 0 passwords and 0 of something else, I was extremely happy to see that although I searched EVERYWHERE in my computer and they were no where to be found.. I restarted Firefox thinking they would suddenly pop up and they did not..
Now after restarting I did the "replace" button again and it was down to 14 bookmarks (which I believe is the amount you start with)
Is there ANYTHING I can do? Can the people at Mozilla Sync find my bookmarks? There was so much there =( All I did was merge and just... nothing happened.. So I panicked, was I supposed to restart he browser immediately after merging my bookmarks and things? Oh god =( Instead of saving all of my info on a disc when formating, I trusted Sync to save all of my information in bookmarks and things.. Now it is all lost, there are even some email addresses that I had passwords saved and now I have no way to recover them.
Is there ANYTHING I can do?????? Anything at all =/ This was NOT supposed to happen, all I did was Merge! Was I not supposed to Merge? I've used Merge a hundred times in the past! Please keep in mind that I formatted so there is no hope of using a backup.

Ok, this has happened to me twice now. I've been using weave since pre-1.0.
The first time I needed to wipe a cluttered firefox profile, then re-merged my sync and while it restored all of my bookmarks, it only caught half my passwords.
The second time, today, I needed to reinstall windows. I connected to firefox sync and selected merge, but the only bookmarks merged in were those I added recently, likely since the 1.4 update.
This is very troubling to me as there was never any warning that all of my data would not be secure. It was my fault for depending on it but now several years worth of bookmarks are just gone.
Am I using it wrong? When a new version comes out do I need to somehow re-sync everything? One would think that is taken care of automatically.
Please let us know if there is a way to recover our lost data.
And for the sake of other users please track this down and consider warning people they could lose their data.

I have had this ipod for forever and I want all the music to show up on my new computer but everytime I connect it says my only options are to sync and erase everything or only transfer the music that was bought on the itunes store which isn't alot since like I said most is from CD's that I don't have anymore. All of a sudden some of my sites have stopped working properly on Firefox and I have had to (reluctantly) go back to Internet Explorer to get them to work properly. Why??? Please help because I always prefer Firefox in all internet stuff

The problem sites have always worked properly on Mozilla Firefox until 2 of them stopped giving full access. I reverted to (yuk) Internet Explorer to see if the problem was still there, but, surprisingly I had full access with both programes. I repeated the attempts a couple of times in Firefox but now have to use IE when I require proper access.
Is the problem in a setting somewhere??

I have created a "process workflow" using OWB and deployed it successfully. Now, I would like to schedule this process. I have installed management server and tried to schedule it but all in vain. I am not able to understand anything. I have read "oracle administrator pdf" and couldnt understand anything. Please dont advise me to read any notes or pdf's because I have tried a lot and was not able to figure out the configuration.
I have a target database named "TARGET". I would like to schedule the workflow process I have created. I am not able to understand preferred credentials and how to execute the XML script generated by the "process workflow". Please help me coz its very urgent.

Someone PLEASE help me. My iPod touch shuffles all my music!

I need help! My iPod won't stop shuffling! So here's what I do . 1. Open Music. 2. Pick an artist. 3. Pick an album. 4. Pick the song at the top of the list.
Now after the song is over, it should play the next song down on the list, right? But it never does! It picks another random song on the album! Hi, I just got an E71 and downloaded the eReader application. I managed to even download and deposit the book files properly, and eReader can open the books. But the font is all in squares and cannot be read! EReader website suggested that I restart the phone but that didn't help.
Can anyone suggest how to fix this? I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what it is.
