Oh no. have I done it all wrong?

Question

Hi. I am currently developing a website (in Dreamweaver 8),
but I am a bit of a begginner. It all looks good on the outside,
but I am not sure about on the inside.
My technique so far has been, create the first page in a
normal html document, then copy the code over to different pages.
This is my failure i think. I have used CSS for different texts but
thats it. Is this a normal mistake?, because, doesnt this mean,
that if I want to edit something slightly or add a new link/page in
to the menu bar for example, I will have to go through every page
to do it. Is there a quick way to fix this, or a quick way to learn
and start again. I have probably spent under 10 hours on the site,
but I do need to complete it within a few weeks. Its not a major
scale job, but not amazingly small either. Can anybody offer advice
or support? Thanks in advance

You probably need to work through some of the tutorials that
come with the
program or are available on the Adobe DevNet site. You also
need a basic
understanding of how html and css work.
Yes, the way you have done it, you will have to edit every
page for global
changes. You could use includes for some of the common areas
or use
Dreamweaver templates, which would allow you to change one
file and have it
reflected everywhere in the case of includes, or change the
template and
have DW quickly update all the pages that are created from
that template.
