Oh no! The Enter Account Password box appears!

I am a bit dismayed right now!  This box appears when I check for my email messages,
The box says:  Enter Account Password on top of the box.  Then it says,
"Enter account password for Gmail(it shows my email address)
Underneath that  is the slot to write in my Password.
Do I write out my email password or my Playbook password?
This has happened a couple of days ago and it's really annoying to not have my email
functioning in my Playbook.  A couple of days ago, the problem got resolved but I have no
idea what resolved it.

No issues here with me personal domain email nor my gmail account.

  • When logging in to my Mindbody scheduling program, the characters I type in the username and password box appear in the address search bar above. can't log in

in other words I cannot log in to the site Mindbody, because when using Firefox when I start to type in my username the letters show up in the address bar above, and not in the username box. The same goes with the password box.

Hello wendysue, '''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)''
    * You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article for that.
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''
''When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.''
    Thank you.

The "apple ID Password" box along with the keyboard pops up when I turn the iPad on and it stays there.  I have changed my email address on my iMac and also changed my password.  The old email address is still on the iPad.  Anyway, I can't use the iPad because can't get the apple id password box to go away.  Thanks for any help!

This is an older photo but the sleep and home buttons are still in the same place on all iPads. The home button is the round button at the bottom of the iPad and the sleep button is also called the on/off button and it is at the top right corner of the iPad.

  • Disable the "enter a password to unlock the disk" prompt

is there a way to disable the "enter a password to unlock the disk" prompt? My macbook has 2 logical drives, one of them is encrypted, and everytime I start the Mac os x it pops up with that prompt.
    Any help is appreciated!

You would have to create the file /etc/fstab with an entry to prevent the volume from mounting automatically. That's advanced system hacking that I don't recommend, but if you want to do it, see the fstab(5) man page for instructions (you must be shell-literate to do this.) Otherwise you're going to be prompted.

    Hi Sujatha vijay,
It sounds as if your Apple TV is in Conference Room Display mode. You will need to turn this off. See this article -

  • Is there any way I can convert previous apple accounts into my most recent one? As I have forgotten the older accounts passwords.

Is there any way I can convert previous apple accounts into my most recent one? As I have forgotten the older accounts passwords.

No, all content (music, books, movies and apps) bought from iTunes and App Stores using one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.

  • I want to install Logos on an NT4 workstation. When I click on the "Logos.msi" file the "Open with" popup box appear. NT4 does not recognise the "Logoshe Logos software on a .msi" file.

I want to upgrade the Citadel database with the Logos software. I have download the Logos.zip file from NI, unzipped it and install it on a WIN2000 system with no problem. When I tried to install it on a NT4 workstation by clicking on the "Logos.msi" file the "Open with" popup box appear. Thus NT4 does not recognise the ".msi" file.

    Karolus,
most likely you did not install any newer software packages on this Windows NT machine. NT does not have the MSI installer engine preinstalled thus the first MSI based software would install this engine. E.g. if you install Lookout 4.5.1 or 5.0 before you try to upgrade Logos this should not be a problem anymore. Or if you install DSC that means LabVIEW 6.1 before this shouldn't be a problem either.
If you really want to install just Logos alone than you would need to install the MSI engine manually before by executing the InstMsiw.exe from your CD. You might get this MSI engine as well from Microsoft.
    Hope this helps

  • HT5621 How do i delete an icloud account and set up a new account with icloud if i dont no the old accounts password

How do i delete an icloud account to set up a new icloud account if you dont know the old accounts password

Welcome to the Apple community Amber
If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

  • Can't get past the "enter your password" window to receive email

I currently have Road Runner Broadband services thru our local cable company. Until recently, my email was no problem. All of a sudden, I'm getting a pop up window requesting I enter my password. I have tried the original password used by the service provider, plus the one I changed it to... says it doesn't recognize the password. Called service provider and after about 30 minutes of diagnostics,to include verification of all settings originally installed as part of the cable service and provider says it is not an issue with the cable, its with the iMac... Any suggestions? Would the problem go away if I deleted the Road Runner software and reinstall it? Very frustrating.

    Hello,
I recommend you contact AT&T's dedicated BB Support staff (call their front line, request escalation to BB Support) and have them check to be sure that your account with them is correctly configured for this device. Sometimes when switching devices things don't fully automatically move behind the scenes, and only they (ATT) can validate that.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Can't login to iMac, no text entered into password box

I had the issue of my iMac going to black screen prior to the login screen.  I tried using voiceover to login, and got to the login password text box, but when I tried to enter text there was nothing - no clicks, and no password getting entered.  I thought I was just doing something wrong.  I finally used a different fix and now the machine boots all the way to the login screen, showing my main, guest and other icons.  When I click on the main icon, it shows the password box.  But I can't type anything in it.  I can push keys all I want, but no dots show in the box and the cursor doesn't move.  I can log on as a guest, which is how I'm typing this now.  Obviously the keyboard works, there is something blocking the password from being input into the password box.  Help?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is only suitable for advanced users, preferably with command-line experience. It works sometimes. There's no assurance it will work in your case. If you don’t understand the directions or don’t feel able to carry them out, STOP.
Back up all data if you haven’t already done so. There are ways to back up, even if you can’t log in. Before proceeding, you must be sure you can restore everything to the state it’s in now. If you’re not absolutely sure you can do that,STOP.
Briefly, you need to delete the following file:
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow.plist
If you already know how to do that, you can skip the rest of this message. Do it, and try again to log in.
    Step 1
Start up in single-user mode by holding down the key combination command-S at the startup chime. If you’re using an external USB keyboard, it must be plugged directly into a built-in port on the Mac, not into a hub. Release the keys when you see a black screen with scrolling white text. In this mode, there’s no graphical interface; just a command line. Initially, you can’t make any changes to files.
    Step 2
When the text stops scrolling, and you see a line ending in a pound sign (“#”), type the following command:
    mount -uw /
You must type the command exactly as given, with no mistakes. If you don’t feel able to do that, STOP.
    Press the return key.
    Step 3
    Enter the following command:
    rm -i /L*/*/*login*
Again, you must get it exactly right. You should be prompted to remove a file named exactly "com.apple.loginwindow.plist". Press the Y key and then return to confirm. Press the N key and then return if you get any other response
    Step 4
    Enter the command:
    exit
Press return. The text will start scrolling again, and then the system will restart. Try again to log in.

  • I recently set up multiple accounts and when I was trying to figure out how to share files I messed up something in my documents. Everytime I open a doc from the ADMIN account, a box pops up that says "The file is not in the correct format" how to fix?

I recently set up multiple accounts on my imac, When I was trying to figure out how to share the documents I must have done something wrong. When logged into the Admin account, I open up any document and I get a message box that says, "The Document could not be opened. The file isn't in the correct format. The file might be corrupted, truncated, or in an unexpected format." What did I do and how do I fix it?

Without knowing what you did it is impossible to give advice on how to correct it.
If these were files you copied over from some other system then just Re-Copy them replacing the ones that are corrupted.
Other then that I suggest you Wipe the drive and start over with a clean reinstall of the OS and programs. Then if you want to share files to All Accounts place those files in a folder in the ROOT of the drive.

  • If the "unresponsive script" dialog box appears while another dialog box (e.g. a "Save As" box), the two dialog boxes lock each other out

FF 7.0.1 on MacOSX 10.6.8 (not this machine!)
While doing a "Save As", and while the "Save As" dialog box is showing, a second dialog box "unresponsive script" shows up. I can't deal with the "unresponsive script" box as it doesn't have focus, and I can't complete the "Save As" operation because its script has become unresponsive. I end up having to Force-Quit Firefox via the Activity Monitor.
    Any less brutal suggestions?

    figured it out:
    - power off mac and turn back on while holding down Command + R (dont do it on an external keyboard just to be safe)
    - choose the re-install Lion option (I'm sure there is another way to re-install Lion, this is just the way I did it, not saying its the best or only method)
    - DO NOT INSTALL MACBOOK (Mid 2012) Software Update 1.0 - THIS SCREWS ADOBE UP!
