OHJ still being developed?

I'm sure this has already been discussed, but is OHJ still being developed? It's been at version 4.2.7 for over 2 years now.

Please do not remind me. I am still having problems with my sites, some of them using the Ajax Toolkit, need DW8, others using ADDT, need DWCS4 and to keep track of the latest I need DWCS5/DWCS5.5; it is a nightmare. In the real world they call this polygamy and should be illegal.
Good part is that Spry has been included in CS5.5, bad news is that CS5.5 leans towards jQuery. In fact, the Spry team is working on a Spry based dataset for jQuery as per https://github.com/jblas/jquery-dataset. But even that has been halted since 15th Dec 2010. Go figure.
My conclusion, use SpryDataSets and start learning jQuery for effects etc. Much is the pity and, unless Adbobe can convince me otherwise, I do not trust them.

PS Since Adobe is leaning towards jQuery, maybe we should ask for a jQuery for DW forum.

srcpac and srcpac-git don't work for me, but another user claimed it works just fine. Can anyone please point out what am I dong wrong?

quickly before i leave the office for today:
an experienced user proposed a workaround with the WB_TO_DATE function, that i previously overlooked. It validates and can be queried with IS NULL.
He mentioned, that the expression might be in a SQL-only part of the OWB-code. But wouldn't this mean one should be able to use if instead of Case?

Is Eclipse (java viewer) for CR still being developed?

Hello,
Is the Eclipse (Crystal java viewer) still being invested in from a development perspective? I'm currently using the .NET (HTML) viewer because of two reasons:
1. The Java viewer has embedded flash functions which render it useless on Apple devices.
2. I heard the Java viewer was not going to be supported in favour of the .NET (HTML) viewer.
Can you someone confirm if the Eclipse (Java) viewer is still being developed. Also, is there a version that strips out the Flash functions?
I'd like to drop the HTML viewer because I'm paying $600/year just to run Windows servers just for this viewer!

Yes we are always developing new technology and firmware versions to improve upon what we already offer but I am afraid I cant give you any dates for when you might expect this to be available.

Is Livecycle Designer still being developed for further versions?

I was just curious if Livecycle Designer is still being developed for further versions.. haven't seen any recent activity on the blogs and on the forums..

Yes it is still being developed ....there is definiately an update in the LiveCycle platform due later this year. As far as activity on the forum and in blogs, there is a new blog entry about once every two weeks on FormFeed and this forum produces a large amount of queries daily so in my view there is still laots of activity.

Is the HCP Roo still being developed

just discovered the Roo addOn for HCP, but the last commit was 2013. Is the addOn still being developed or is it "dead". And if it is not dead, will there be UI5 support, that seriously would rock for prototyping..

The 3GS is out of production. There are plenty of refurbished 3GC iPhones, and that's what you'll receive.

Is the HH 2.0 firmware still being developed?

My Home Hub 2.0 Type A hasn't been updated for quite a long time now, yet I still see a number of issues which seem to be within the firmware:
DHCP Server stops issuing addresses to particular devices - cured by a HH reboot
NAT goes strict for XBox or PS3 - cured by a HH Factory reset
General slow down of internet throughput after heavy usage - cured by a HH reboot
Is there anything in development, or should I just accept that this is the end of the road for the firmware?
I would be very willing to participate as a Beta tester for any firmware development and try to constructively help it move forward.

Diagnostic and usage still being sent after shutting it off

My Mountain Lion workstation is still sending Diagnostic and usage information after I have shut that option off. It includes contact information. How can I prevent this without using the gui?

Unfortunately this is not thwarted case as I stated in thelog it is still sending and I m able to confirm this through the network as ssl to network 10.x.x.x apples network

- SubmitDiagInfo does run periodically to clean up any diagnostic and usage info created a month ago and is no longer needed.
- Since you have set no reporting, SubmitDiagInfo will not collect and send to Apple diagnostic info. not yet sent.

Is the Spry Framework still under development by Adobe?

I'm in a position where I have to skinny down the number of JS libraries we employ at work. I'm personally a fan of Spry and would prefer to keep it around as it has some unique and valuable characteristics. But, I'm sure my boss is going to ask if this particular library is still being maintained and developed and by who. So, I'm looking for an answer to that question so that I can justify keeping it.

Auditing set to "Failure" only but Success 4985 still being logged

We've configured a domain wide policy to only audit "Failure" events in the Audit Policy.
This has successfully applied to all our servers but we're finding that Success Event IDs 4985 (The State of a Transaction has changed) are still being logged. It does seem to be only this event ID which is being logged.
I believe that this event comes under Audit Object Access, but cannot understand why these "success" events are still being logged when this audit setting is definitely set to "failure".

Here is my understanding: You would like to only log Failure events in Event log. However even with all Success options unchecked in Audit policy, Audit Success (event 4985) still exists in Event Viewer.
For the event 4985, it is triggered by the Transactional NTFS (TxF), when the file state is changed.
TxF is a new featured introduced in Windows 2008 / Vista, and allows file operations on an NTFS file system volume to be performed in a transaction. TxF transactions increase application reliability by protecting data integrity across failures and simplify
application development by greatly reducing the amount of error handling code.

Shake no longer being developed?

I have read that the Shake product is no longer being improved upon or updated. Hence, the huge price drop in this software earlier this year. Since it is now relatively inexpensive, I am considering getting it. I am already using Motion and Final Cut quite a lot.
Still, my lingering question is: if Shake is no longer being developed or improved, then is Apple working on some other software that will replace its functions?
I am hesitant to invest in a software that may not have a future.

Apple is working on something new, but that shouldn't put you off Shake. As with any software, new versions come out all the time thus rendering prior ones 'obselete'. But, if the software does what you want it to do it's not obselete, by definition.
If you need the capabilities Shake offers, get it. If you don't, then no harm in not having it. As regards lack of support, there is masses available on the web. Shake has a large, active userbase and forums like this one provide plenty of information (try Creative Cow too). There are plenty of add-ons available from thrid-party developers too.

How can I stop iPhoto from reidentifying faces I have already 'crossed', while still being able to identify and sort new faces.

iPhoto has detected faces of people I dont know, in my 'iPhoto faces' whenever I click the cross in the corner of the face (when sorting faces) the face temporarily disappears, but once I have uploaded a fresh batch of photos (and want to identify new faces) it automatically re-identifies the old photos that I don't want to have to sort again. How can I stop iPhoto from reidentifying faces I have already 'crossed', while still being able to identify and sort new faces.

How do I identify the people in my new photos without clicking 'find faces'. I know that button searches through my photos to find faces, but it also gets me to the place where I identify the faces as my friends and family, is there a shortcut to get to that place without clicking 'find faces'? That is what I really need, please help!!
