Ohs - autentication to access file via virtual directories

10gas rel2
What is required to get the user to authenticate when accessing static files via a virtual directory ? are there any mod_?? suitable for this?
I've got mod pl/sql working calling a custom authentication for all dynamic content but how do I deal with static files on the server?
Your advice is much appreciated
Thanks
Pete

Thanks for your help so far.
I followed the 'path' you outlined, taking me to the "iTunes library". When I click on the iTunes library,
that's not how it's done. I thought you simply want to copy the entire library. if you only want a few songs then do the following. quit itunes. hold option and start itunes. it will offer to choose the library. choose the one on the macbook drive that you've now located. it will open the itunes library of the macbook in itunes. select the songs you want in itunes and drag them to the desktop (or better make a folder on the desktop and drag them there). quit itunes. then option-start itunes again and now choose the itunes library in your home directory on the imac. drop the songs from the folder on the desktop onto itunes in the dock and they will be imported into the library on the imac.

  • Ix2-200 VERY slow accessing files via osx 10.10

ix2-200 running fine. Drives are good. Using latest firmware 2.1.46.30093.
Can manage via browser just fine.
Connect to server using smb ipaddr and it mounts up just fine.
I can open the directory (using osx 10.10.1) with finder just fine, but when I try to access the files within the directory, nothing shows up (I know the files are there) and can hear/see drive activity (blue light flashes). If I wait an hour or so, I can start seeing files. Since this is a laptop, it's not possible to always leave it connected and waiting at least an hour after connecting to it is not acceptable.
How can this issue be resolved?
    Thanks
    Bill

    Hello morber
Try connecting to the ix2-200 via AFP instead of SMB/windows file sharing on your Mac.
Finder> Go> Connect to Server,  there enter the ip address of the unit and proceed.  It should ask which share folders to access and if secured, enter the NAS user account credentials.

  • Problem accessing files via Blackberry Bridge

Not sure if anyone is having this issue....I've got the blackberry bridge installed, and I can access my messages, contacts, etc.  However if I go into the Bridge Files menu, I am unable to open anything.  I tap it and it just does nothing.  If I go into the sheet to go app on the Playbook, I am able to access my files off my blackberry, however every single one opens up read only (which kinda defeats the purpose)
Any ideas?  Is there a setting I am missing?

  • IMac G5 died and I am trying to access files from the HD via my PowerBook

My iMac G5 died- evidently because of a power supply issue. Was told it could be up to five business days for repairs but there are files on my hard drive I need access to this weekend....preferably today. Yes, I do backups but I do them once a week and, of course, it has been a week since my last and so I have several days worth of work on the computer I need.
I removed the hard drive from the iMac and hooked it up to my PowerBook. The drive mounted and I can click on the User folder and then see my user account. But when I click on that folder, the contents are empty. I have rebooted, while holding down the Option Key, on the PowerBook to try and boot to my now external iMac hard drive, but it didn't see it. Another problem might be because the iMac HD is encrypted. How can I log into the iMac HD and access a few of my files (via the PowerBook) so I can copy them to the PowerBook to work on them while the iMac is down?

If the G5 iMac's hard drive is still okay, you could pull the hard drive from the G5, put it in an external enclosure and hook that up to your G4 Powerbook.
Here is an example of an external HD enclosure:

    Good luck.

Get info then check permissions then add your curent user name (it was probably different on old Mac) and give your username full read/write permissions.

  • How to send a file via e-mail with director

Is it even possible to have a button in a free-standing
projector that would send a file via e-mail, or open up an e-mail
program and have the file attached and addressed? Or is it possible
to put a file on a server? Of course, both of these methods would
alert the user and ask for their permission.

To just open the user's email program, you can use the
    standard lingo:
    goToNetPage(mailto:[email protected])
That approach is kind of annoying because it actually opens
    an empty
browser window then the user's email program. I don't think
    you can use
that approach to send attachments though.
A much better way is the fabulous DirectEmail xtra from
    DirectXtras.
    Check out their site:
    http://www.directxtras.com/demail_home.asp?UUID=1217348
DirectEmail can do everything you are asking for (and more).
    It is
cross-platform, shockwave safe, can handle text or HTML
    email, can do
attachments, can use a mail server or not, and is really easy
    to use.
The same company makes DirectFTP which you can get from:
    http://www.directxtras.com/DFTP_home.asp?UUID=1217348
DirectFTP can put files onto an FTP site with a minimum of
    fuss. I have
used both on quite a few occasions and they rock. You can
    actually
write a full-fledged email or ftp program with those xtras
    and Director.

  • Access files stored in Time Capsule via iCloud

how to access files stored in Time Capsule via iCloud

Yes, you can remotely access files in the TC..
Did you read the apple instructions and do them??
    http://www.apple.com/au/support/icloud/back-to-my-mac/
It does depend on the main router being upnp or NAT-PMP capable.. so the best is if the TC is the main router.. otherwise you may have to manually forward the ports.

  • Best way to access files on Xserve via VPN on iPad?

Can anyone tell be the best solution for accessing files housed on the companies Apple Xserve remotely via VPN from an iPad? Numbers / Pages etc.
    thanks,
    Rick

The iPad doesn't natively support file systems such as those on servers, but there are third-party apps that can allow this. FileBrowser is one often mentioned, so you might look into that. VPN will be a separate issue; iOS has a built-in VPN client which works with many VPN systems, but you'll need to see if yours is supported.

  • SAP Installation in MSCS - SAP cannot be accessed via virtual host name

    Hi Experts,
We have installed SAP NW 7.1 CE in MSCS for High Availabilty.  Our primary application server is installed in a separate server.  I can only access SAP via the hostname of the primary application server (i.e. http://<hostname of primary appserver>:5<instance#>00/nwa)  and not via the virtual hostname of the MSCS cluster.  Is there any configuration I have missed?  I have followed all the preparation needed for HA installation.
    Thanks.

    Hi Sameysha,
As already posted, you only has SCS in HA, the "normal" way will be that you has one CI and as many DI as you need and use a Web Dispatcher. If CI fails then WD will send the requests to remaining DI´s so you won´t loose service.
In MSCS if you install as per the guide, Instances are not HA because they are installed locally in each node, if you have two nodes then you install CI in Node A and DI in Node B, if Node A fails then SCS resources migrates to Node B, CI is out and you work with the DI installed in Node B.
To be able to use any of the Intances installed you need a Web Dispatcher that does the load balancing between the CI and DI´s, if CI fails then you get service from the DI´s.
    Hope this clarifies this.

in jsp the code goes like this...
         <script type="text/javascript"  archive="http://localhost:14000/dojo.jar!" src="dojo.jar/parser.js" " ></script>{code}
But i am not able to access the js file which is put in jar file present in the  webserver.

    Hi,
You can use DWR (Direct Web remoting) for that. It is easy AJAX for java. ou can directly call the java script function from java class and also java class from javaScripts..

  • HT1145 I can't see my files on my USB shared drive.  It shows there is lots of space taken up, but I can't access the files via my Mac.

I can't see my files on my USB shared drive.  It shows there is lots of space taken up, but I can't access the files via my Mac.  How do I see them?  I also can't see them on my iPad using FileBrowser.

You don't have access to it to configure it via Time Machine? You lost me on that one, Time Machine is used for Backup.
Here is a basic article on the first setup and what you should see:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1178
To configure Time Capsule you should be using "Airport Utility" 5.3 or higher that is located in the Utilities folder. You can tell if its version 5.3 because the icon will have blue lines instead of orange lines like the older versions. Since you are running Leopard 10.5.6 and you ran Software Update you are probably already running the latest 5.3 version.
The light flashing amber means you haven't entered enough information so that it can get to the internet. Once you have that info entered the light will turn green.
If your absolutely sure your CAT5 cables are good you can try a hard reset. I think you have to push the reset button on the back and hold it for 5 seconds or so until the amber light blinks rapidly, then when you release the button it does the reset then.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1300?locale=en_US
Hope this helps! If not I would probably call AppleCare support or see if you can exchange it.

              Hi,
              1) what is your "weblogic.httpd.documentRoot=????"
              2) if it is "public_html" put your jsp there.

  • How do I access my picture files via Finder after I upgraded to Yosemite?

I upgraded to Yosemite and now I have lost the ability to directly access my picture files via the Finder. There is now no longer a Picture icon in the Finder. Help, huge problem for me as I do a lot of picture editing via Photoshop Elements. I know the pics are still there as the Canon photo viewer shows them.

Pictures are normally in the top level directory under your username. If you want that directory to be in the Finder sidebar, you can open Finder, then click Preferences on the menu named Finder and then click Sidebar in the Preferences window and put a checkmark in front of Pictures in the list of Favorites.

  • Attaching file to email by accessing email via safari

it seems that there is no button in the email (yahoo. gmail etc) interface page for attaching files to the email to be sent via safari. i.e. cannot attach file if u access mailbox via safari. is that normal? hear that you need to tap the pre installed "MAIL' app on the ipad, set-up the email mail box, and accessing mailbox via the "MAIL" app, then attaching file is possible. why is it so?

In order to attach a file in an email - the app it self must support it. For instance, you can email a Photo in the Photos app by selecting the photo that you want to email and then tap the curved arrow icon in the upper right corner and select the email option.
Apple's Pages for the iPad allows you to email files as well - but you have to do it from the Pages App itself. Other apps also support the feature but as Meg explained, you can't attach a file in web mail - at least I haven't seen how to do it.
