OID 10.1.4 / eBS 12.0.6 integration - provisioning profiles vanishing

We have, after a bit of thrashing, managed to get our OID working with SSO on eBS (lots of alphabet soup there!). We're on OID 10.1.4 and eBS 12.0.6.
We're seeing an issue where, periodically, the connection profiles in OID, under the provisioning profiles container, will vanish. This causes all users who have new eBS accounts to receive a blank screen after authenticating in SSO. This seems logical, since without the connection profiles, OID doesn't have access to eBS to update the USER_GUID in FND_USER.
If we rerun deregistration and reregistration, the issue is fixed, but it's sort of a sledge hammer solution.
Has anyone else seen this issue? Are there processes, like running Autoconfig or OPMN that could cause the profiles to vanish? How about a lock on the FND_USER table?

    Recently I came across a situation where the provisioning profile had stopped working after moving our eBis servers to a new host. Even though we deregistered and reregistered OID in EBS, we are unable to get the synch to work. There are no obvious errors available in the logs (ods log/out files or the diagnostics file).
    I have tried increasing the log level of provisioning profile to all and the dip services to level 32 (trace) and I don't seem to see any errors.
    EBS - 12.1.3/11.2.0.2
    OID - 11.1.1.4
    I was just wondering if the OID stores the details of EBS provisioning profile in any of the metadata tables or the config files.
    Any pointers will be highly appreciated.

    Kees, the color profiles are still stored in your user library in
    ~/ColorSync/Profiles/
    I can't find them back in  the /library/colorSync/Profiles.
    Are you looking in the System Library folder /Library/colorSync/Profiles  at the top level of your system drive?
    As you probably know, your User Library is hidden since Mac OS X Lion.
    You can reveal it from the Finder's "Go" menu in the main menu bar:
    Finder > Go
    Then hold down to options-key ⌥, until Library appears in the drop-down menu. Select it and open the Library.

    I need some help on EBS related security. • Running EBS - 12.1.3, OID, OAM, DIP provisioning profile • Have a BI tool which adds user responsibilities in OID groups. • Users are added as members to group in OID. • Right now only the user names in OID are provisioned to EBS. • Is there a way to provision the complete group in OID as responsibilities in EBS? • Does EBS 12.1.3 Security architecture allow this ?  Any kind of documents related to this would be helpful.     Our hosting provider has now setup "pdf2ps" on AIX level. It works correctly with "root" user. But with "applmgr" user, it gives the following error:
    Does "<10.1.2 OH>/jdk/jre/bin/libjpeg.a" exist?
    Do you have "libjpeg.so.62" package installed?
    Can you compare the PATH settings for both root and applmgr user and see if there is a difference?

    We need a solution to tie up the HR employee_ID and FND user_id automatically, I can have the OID populated with the HR employee_id from an external SOA source, Now I need to synch this data into the employee_number field in FND.

  • EBS R12 XML Gateway Integration - Supplier information sync with MAXIMO

    Hello Guys.
    Recently I'm working on a EBS R12 implementation project, as customer already has MAXIMO application, they would like keep it ask "supplier" information syncronization between Oracle EBS R12 and MAXIMO through Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3
    For EBS R12 supplier creation/update screens done, currently I found I can get supplier information out by configuring Oracle APPS adapter within Oracle ESB(Enterprise Service Bus) scenario to catch business events but may not perfect this way.
    Then we would like try XML Gateway but seems there're no "supplier" related XML Gateway fit in Oracle Apdater module browser :-(
    Appreciate if any one can guide/help........

    As per the document, i need to use bold italic formatted text in CUSTOM.pll file using oracle Forms Builder. But i cant insert bold italic text using pl/sql editor.
    Can anyone tell me how to do this?

  • APEX to EBS(R12.1.3) integration, Error while validating ICX session

    Hi,
    We have successfully integrated APEX page into EBS, i.e. we are able to invoke the APEX page from EBS Responsibility/Menu.
    for APEX integration, we have installed APEX on separate OHS on the same server as EBS (and same domain) and in the Form Function HTML call we are using "GWY.jsp?targetAppType=APEX&p=160:10::" to invoke the APEX page.
    Issue is, the APEX page displays error "ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small", which we are not able to capture or supress.
    but the page functions as expected and insert/update of tables working fine, in short everything is as expected except that error message.
    In Before Header we are calling a custom procedure, which invokes "wfa_sec.getsession( l_username);" to validate the ICX session, this is raising the error.
    when i try call "ICX_SEC.getsessioncookie" before the above procedure, it returns valid Session ID and call to "ICX_SEC.check_session" returns VALID; i am not sure why it is throwing error to validate an available Valid session?
    All we want is to use the same ICX session in APEX page without need to pass the User name/password or re-login in APEX or set the User/Responsibility context again.
    any help would be appriciated.

    Try changing your target to:
    GWY.jsp?targetAppType=APEX&p=160:10:::Yeswhich will enable debugging when launched.
    Are you selecting information from icx_sessions into some variables (user_id, responsibility_id etc) for use in the VPD?
    There isn't really any need to "wfa_sec.getsession( l_username);" - the following query should give you everything you need for an EBS context:
    SELECT  s.user_id,
            s.responsibility_id,
            s.responsibility_application_id,
            s.security_group_id,
            u.user_name
      FROM  icx_sessions s,
            fnd_user u
    WHERE  u.user_id = s.user_id
        AND s.session_id = icx_sec.getsessioncookie
        AND s.last_connect + NUMTODSINTERVAL( time_out, 'MINUTE') > SYSDATE;Select those into some protected application variables and then use fnd_global.apps_initialize() in the "initialization pl/sql code" section of APEX (VPD).
    Then if you need anything in your application, you can use the variables in fnd_global (or the application items of course).

  • EBS Registration issue

    We have done the sso registration successfully , but sso login functionality is not working as expected.
    Please provide some inputs to fix this issue.
    Environment
    We are on 11gR2 database for both OID and EBS 11.5.10.2.
    OID version 11g on web logic server.
    SSO server version is 10.1.4.3
    In the front end it is showing the below error while login using the SSO URL.
    "The Single Sign-On server registration is invalid. Please contact the System Administrator. "
    When we run the below query in the backend (EBS R11 DB) it suppose to get the records without any error or it is suppose to show just “no rows selected”, but I got the “ORA-29275” error in the backend

    One of our customers has implemented Oracle EBS R12 as follows:
    Database - Oracle Database 10gR2 RAC (2 Node)
    Application - Shared APPL_TOP (2 Nodes)
    OID/SSO - integrated with AD & Oracle EBS integrated with OID/SSO
    H/W load balancer.
    The above was implemented some 3 years ago.
    The customer wanted us to implement DR (Data Guard) as follows:
    Database - Oracle Database 10gR2 RAC (2 Node)
    Application - Shared APPL_TOP (2 Nodes)
    OID/SSO - integrated with AD (AD at DR) & Oracle EBS integrated with OID/SSO
    S/W load balancer using Web Cache.
    We have completed the DR setup. But during the Switchover or Failover we have to Unregister and Register the OID/SSO with EBS at the DR Site. Customer does not want to do this.
    They are asking us to re-configure OID/SSO and Web Cache in such a way that during Switchover/Failover activity and after configuring the DB Tier and Apps Tier, they should be able to login to the SSO without unregistering/registering OID/SSO with Oracle EBS.
    The only solution for me is to re-configure the OID/SSO at DR with the same Hostname as the Production OID Server and also use the H/W load balancer name to the Web Cache Server at DR. But customer does not want to give Production OID Hostname for OID at OID and Load Balancer name to the Web Cache server.
    I am planning to use different Physical Hostname for OID and Web cache server but use Virtual Hostname identical to the Production OID and Web Cache server. Does anyone know if using Virtual Hostnames for OID and Web Cache will achieve the required result.

    I have not seen any implementation of OID using virtual hostnames, so you might need to log a SR and confirm with Oracle support if this is supported or not.

    we integrated EBS with OAM11g(it integrated with OID 11g).
    Whenever we created user in EBS is reflecting to OID,But this user is not able to login into OAM.Whenever we assaign the newly created user to 'Administrator, group only able to login into OAM because of we specify 'Administrator' as administrator group.
    So now how to set the default group is Administrator for newly flowing users from EBS.

  • LDAP Error 17 when synchronizing E-Bus suite with OID

    I have followed the instructions in Metalink note 233436.1 with a brand-new 11i instance and brand-new 10.1.4 identity management instance (on Linux). I also have followed the instructions in note 417706.1 to fix the issue where the ODISRV would not start up. Now, ODISRV is running, and provisioning events are coming from apps to oid (I used the appstooid profile - only want new e-bus users to create oid users and not vice-versa).
    My problem is that the ODISRV is not applying changes. The log is full of these:

    I think I am having a similar problem. In my case, I receive LDAP Error 17 when trying to build new attributes, under attributetypes. oidadmin seems to indicate that there is such a thing as "attributetypes", attempting to modify subschemasubentry, adding attribute "attributetypes" returns the LDAP error 17.
    Isn't this error telling us that your "orclodipprofilemetric" isn't in the schema anywhere and you have to recreate it? Or could this be a case of misspelling in a script somewhere, where "orclodiprofilemetric" (only one "p") is meant, but fat-fingered.

  • OIM with EBS HR for recon and UM for provisioning - urgent

    Hi All
    I am trying to setup OIM with EBS HR mod as the trusted source and EBS User mod for user provisioning. I am using the OOB EBS connector version 90430 with OIM 9.1.0.1. I have configured the reconcialiation and provisioning as per the oracle documentation. But only few of the parameters are reconciled into the OIM->USR table. When I go to Reconciliation Manager, I can see only few data fields in the processed data region and rest are in the unprocessed data region. The recon engine is able to pick up the corresponding values from the HR system but is not able to process the same.
    Please let me know where can be the problem reside.
    Also when I provision a record into Oracle EBS User mod, even if I give all the required data in the direct provisioning form, an account is created in the EBS system with partial data e.g. email is not getting provisioned.
    Please help me in setting up recon and provisioning in OIM - EBS.
    This is really urgent.. please help !!!

    The standard suggestion for that is:
    - What's the reeson for using EBIZ connector version *9043*. That's an older version and may be these things which you are referring to could not be part of that connector.
    - Use the ORCL_EBS_UM_91000 and ORCL_EBS_ER_91000. You can download it from OTN. This should resolve the outstanding issues for you.

    Hi, I am a newbie to the Nano, my daughter has one and she has over 600 songs on hers and room to go, plus pictures. I just bought mine, have put 101 songs on and it is telling me it is full. How can this be?! It says I have only 244 KB free. Somethi
