OID Users what DB table are they stored in

Ive just loaded 400+ users from AD into OID, what database table are these users stored in as I need to assign these users to a portal group and I dont want to do it manually.
If I manually modify the password in oiddas for the migrated user then the user appears in the wwsec_$person table otherwise its not there.

no need to play with OID schema.
have a look to Portal APIs http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/portal/html/plsqldoc/pldoc1012/index.html
About sync between OID and Portal schema, think about startup dameon process (DIP) wich synchronize entries
oidctl instance=1 server=odisrv flags="host=iasqa-ultra1.abc.com etc....
cf : http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_07/portal.1012/b14037/cg_secur.htm#i1040238 for details.

  • What are ROWID and ROWNUM? Are they stored in database and where?

    Hi All,
can anybody please answer this question
What are ROWID and ROWNUM? Are they stored in database and where?
    Thanks,
    Srini

ROWID can be thought of as a pointer to the physical location (on disk) of the (table) row.
From a ROWID value, Oracle can extract the file, block-within-that-file and offset-of-the-row-within-that-block. Using these, Oracle can directly access a disk block to retrieve a row.
ROWNUM is a just sequence number of a row within a result set of a query.
As said by other repliers, both are not stored. They are 'constructed' when you reference them inside a query.

  • Suddenly all my Word documents are gone. What happened? Are they recoverable (no back-up hard drive or time machine)

Suddenly all my Word documents are gone. What happened? Are they recoverable (no back-up hard drive, no time machine)?

    Greetings,
What happened right before they went missing? (software updates, "cleaning" up the computer, etc.)
Are your other files still there like music, movies, pictures, bookmarks, etc?
I'm sure you've already come to this conclusion yourself, you need a back up. Its easy to do with 10.5.8 and later: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1553.
Try searching your account for any ".doc" files (Word documents) by going to File > Find and using the options below:
If you don't find any of the documents you are looking for in the search window and nothing else is missing then it would be wise to get a second opinion ASAP before any chance of data recovery is lost.
Make an appointment with a Mac Genius at an Apple store (they don't do data recovery but may be able to see something we can't see from here) or contact an Apple Authorized Service Provider to see if they can look around the hard drive for you.
If the second opinion reveals that the data is really gone off the entire computer then you will need data recovery software or service:
Data recovery software requires you have a separate hard drive so you'll need to buy one first. Data recovery software examples:

There are many nationwide / worldwide data recovery companies out there.  Here are a few examples:

  • When I back up my musical files where are they stored?

I got a nano a couple of years ago and put all my albums on it (synced through i-tunes). I hadn't used my nano for a few months and when I went back to it my library seemed to have been replaced.......is it possible that my teenage son overwrote the nano?. Where are my files actually backed up - would it be on the laptop I used during the backup process (even though I was signed on to I-tunes at the time) or are they in fact backed up remotely through the I-tunes site.
It is all so confusing - and frustrating.
I searched for my song library on my Click-free back up device but it does not seem to have stored the songs.....just stored the link to I-tunes.
Could somebody direct me on how to solve my problem.
    cheers

Your music should be in your iTunes library on your computer, and can be synced back to your nano as you did originally.  Have you opened iTunes and clicked on Music to see if your music is still there?

  • What model HD are they putting in the new Mac Pro's?

What model hard drives are they putting in the new Mac Pro's? I need to purchase a second drive in anticipation of a 2.8 I'm ordering and I want to get the same brand and model.

Mine came with the Seagate ST3320820AS_P; however, WDs are also in the mix. And don't forget that the BTO options allow increasing drive size; those may be different makes as well.
See this thread on MacRumors forum: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=432423
Bottom line is that if it's important that they match, wait 'till you can open the box and know for sure.

  • Window views as seen by users - how are they stored?

Forgive me if this is obvious, but I can't find the answer to this. When a client computer (running Tiger) logs into our server (running Tiger Server) and opens a mount point, he might see it in icon view or list view. If in list view, it might be sorted by name ascending or descending, or by date, etc. It seems that the settings established by the first person who ever logged into the system and mounts a particular share are the ones that everyone else will see for ever. How can these be changed so all users see the same view when they log in?

    To fix this:
    1) Delete the '.DS_Store' file in the root level of the sharepoint you're trying to change the view for.
    2) Create a temporary, non-admin user in WGM. Set that user as the owner of the sharepoint (no need to change group or everyone, and no need to propagate permissions down the tree).
    3) Log in to the sharepoint over the network as the temp non-admin user, and set the views as you like.
    4) Log out and log in as another user - views should be set.
    5) Undo step 2, by putting original owner of sharepoint back.

  • Deleting 3rd Party Loops... where the freak are they stored???

Yes, I know that by default, loops are stored in Library/Application Support/Garageband/Apple Loops, or the similar address under my user library.
And, I know there is another folder close by, for Jam Packs.
However, I have been going INSANE, trying to find old, single-hit files and obsolete loops which i have downloaded from 3rd party sources. They are NOT in the regular places such as the Apple loops folder.
All of them were installed by drag and drop method into the Garageband loop browser, so one would assume they all went to the same place.
How in the world do i find these loops?
The Finder and Spotlight have turned up nothing.
I have about 5,000 i'd like to trash to make room for more important things.
    Can Garageband be THIS cumbersome?

    HangTime wrote:
yes, that was telling him to not delete it by hand because, as Christoph points out above, you then need to reindex, whereas deleting it through GB takes care of that.
with 5,000, it's probably worth the reindex, deleting one at a time through GB would be ... tiring.
Actually. i like your idea of deleting from the browser. They are scattered in different categories and different folders. I'd have to search and test them anyway... so I might as well just axe them when i come upon them in the browser.
I swear I've tried it that way before, to no avail..
Thanks a lot for you help.

  • PS CS5 preset sizes, where are they stored?

I recently installed CS5 Extended and I have so many special sizes for images stored for versions in the past and would like to import these
so I don't have to start from scratch. Does anyone know where they are stored in the programs?  I have 4 for mac and converted over to 5 extended for
    windows?

He's talking about saved, named preset sizes in for example the File New dialog.
I hadn't made any size presets up to now myself, but one can use a method like the following  to find files stored from the various Photoshop features:
Save your preset or whatever with a unique name, not likely to be used for any other file.
Search your system for a file with that unique name, or with that name in its content.
Windows Search leaves a lot to be desired, so step 2 may not straightforward, but it can be done.
I have already found that the presets aren't stored in separate, discrete files.  Now I'm doing a content search and will report back here if I find where the presets are stored.

  • Lost contacts after reinstalling - where are they stored on a mac

My mac book pro crashed on me, so I reinstalled OS 10.5.8. I had all my files backed on an external harddrive, but now my palm desktop(palm 505 - software version 4.2.1) is empty, and my palm handheld is also empty. Where can I find all my contacts on my mac? hope someone can please help me!!!
    thanks in advance!!
    Post relates to: Palm V

thanks for that info - I didn't know that about finding the library in 10.8 (obviously) -- and I was able to find the library and navigate my way to my catalog -- it looks like it's fine - in fact I was able to run the catalog manage, repair, optimize etc and it says everything is fine - however when I restart PSE and the organizer, my photos are still all missing from the albums.
too late now, but tomorrow, I'll try to see if I can find that catalog in yesterday's time machine back up -- do you know if that's possible?
I'm not really sure what happened - because when I started out today, things seemed to be working fine - it wasn't until I tried to add a new album that I discovered the issue with the missing photos.
truthfully I don't care about the albums - they would be easy to reconstruct -- but I'd like to be able to delete the names of them and start again - but I can't seem to find info on how to do that.  the book I have doesn't give that basic kind of info - more info on using the tools to be creative.
thanks so much for your help - you're very knowledgeable about PSE!!! and Mountain Lion which I've only been using for a few months.
    cheers, Lynne

  • Textedit preferences: where are they stored?

I want to be able to copy Styles in TextEdit to new OSX's. I normally use iText Express instead of TextEdit (under OSX 10.6.8), and it's preferences were stored in an invisible file called .globalpreferences.plist inside the Preferences folder. Doesn't seem to be the case for OSX 10.8, so I've been playing around with TextEdit to see where it's style preferences are stored.
The interesting thing is: I can delete all preferences that mention TextEdit or globalpreferences, and both TextEdit and iText Express still retain the new styles I set up.
Does anyone know where the style preferences are stored?
As an aid to tracking this down: when searching for modified files, how do I set a search for Last Modification Date to the last few minutes?

Thanks Barney. Now some notes for my future reference (in case I forget how to do it) and for anyone else who wants to copy Style settings of iTextExpress (and I assume Text Edit) from one OSX to another.
    Under  OSX 10.6.8
iText Express style preferences are stored inside the Users> Preferences folder in a file called .GlobalPreferences.plist. This file is invisible. It can be made visible by a utility called DesktopUtility.
Once made visible it can be copied and archived, but it cannot be copied back because an invisible file cannot be replaced. To replace an existing version with an archived version, the existing version must first be deleted.
    Under  OSX 10.8.3
iText Express style preferences are stored inside the Users> Preferences folder in a file called com.apple.AppKit.TextFavorites.plist. The folder is invisible. It can be made visible by a utility called DesktopUtility. Once the folder is made visible, the preference file can be archived and copied to another OSX.
The contents of .GlobalPreferences.plist and com.apple.AppKit.TextFavorites.plist seem to be interchangeable. I copied the contents of the first (from OSXC 10.6.8) and put them in the second (in OSX 10.8.3) and up came all the Styles.

  • Mysterious Phantom Accounts - What on Earth Are They?

    Hello,
My problem is that in my login window, right after "X's Computer", there's a number in brackets, which I assume indicates the number of accounts on my computer (I've two, one private and one for work). However, a while back that number changed to 3, and now all of a sudden it's 5. I only have those two accounts and my guest account is disabled, so what are these phantom accounts? I'm getting a bit worried, so that no one's hacked my computer or something (I'm not terribly tech savvy when it comes to the details so I don't know what could've happened). Does anybody know what this is? Should I worry? What can I do about it?
Thank you very much in advance!
    Sincerely,
    //P

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
The added number probably represents a change in your "Computer Name" by the system, and not a reflection of the number of user accounts. To check this, and to hopefully change it back, look in
    System Preferences>Sharing
also click the Edit button there.
There have been a number of similar reports here, with the issue sometimes thought to be related to a network or router conflict. See this forum search:

  • When i syncronize my iphone and ipad to the icloud using the same apple-id, are they stored under seaparate accounts?

Is there  a risk that when I make a backup from one device, it overwrites the stored data from thoe other device?
If I want to restore my iPhone and my iPad from the iCloud, will they be restored from the same stored data or from separate data?

    Ok, great news.
    Thank you!

  • Is there a way I could access all previous browsing sessions? Are they stored in the C: drive somewhere?

Does Firefox saved all my browsing sessions so that I could access them anytime? I heard about session cookies, but I don't know whether that helps as there are no dates on them, is there? Or are the browsing sessions stored somewhere on my computer?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Unfortunately, iCloud does not offer equivalents to Mobile Me’s iDisk, Gallery or Web Hosting services. You will need to find a third party solution to replace these services. You might consider DropBox, SugarSync, MediaFire or any other service that offers online storage. (not all these alternatives offer all the services previously provided by iDisk)

  • Watching rented movies on Apple TV - are they stored locally?

I've set up my new Apple TV and rented a movie. It said 20! hours to load - fine I left it over night and the next morning it was complete. I went to watch it in the evening and when I pressed play it started to load again!!
I'm confused - I thought the movies you rent are downloaded to the Apple TV and do not need to be re-loaded? If I need to re-load each time and it takes 20+ hours to do so, the ATV is a bit useless for me!
My internet speed is quite fast, and when I watch anything else online there's no issue. Why would it take so long to load on the Apple TV?
    thanks.

I see this hasn't been answered yet. I've exactly the same problem and I'm not using Google DNS or OpenDNS.
My problem - I rent an SD movie from my 2nd gen Apple TV, leave it thinking it's downloading. Sit down the following evening to watch the film only to be told 'Loading... will be ready to watch in 3hrs...'. Darn. Decide, ok, I'll leave it till tomorrow night. Come the following night, sit down again to enjoy the movie, lo and behold I'm greeted this time with 'Loading... will be ready to watch in 1 hr 33 mins...'! What's going on???
I don't think this is good enough. I also own a 1st gen Apple TV and it never suffered from this - when you rented, it downloaded - none of this two day stop/start.
I read up on the Google DNS issue and I'm definitely not using it. So what's the problem?? At the moment, it pretty much makes the 2nd gen Apple TV fairly useless for me which is a real shame as I loved the old one.
Could we get an explanation of this issue or assistance on tracking the cause?
    Thanks.
