What is difference between Firefox OS and Android or iOS?

kingofhawks, Firefox os is open source, offers the ability of do not track and has many great customization options. It is currently however targeted at 3rd world countries and/ or underdeveloped countries so it isn't recommended to use this if you're use to using Android and iOS at this moment. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

thank you in advance.Since the terms themselves can be defined differently by different organizations, you'll have to ask the interviewer how HE defines those terms. Once you know that you should know the answer. In asking him how he defines them, you might explain that you are asking because you know the terms can mean different things to different organizations.

  • Difference between service pack and support pack

    Hi,
what is the exact difference between service pack and support pack. Are they same?
The version details presnt in integration builder -> help-> inforamtion  of my XI server are as follows :
    Service pack: 09
    Release: 645_VAL_REL
does it mean that the both support package and service package for my XI server are 09?
    thanks in adavance

    1. A service pack (in short SP) is a collection of updates, fixes and/or enhancements to a software program delivered in the form of a single installable package. Service packs are usually numbered, and thus shortly referred to as SP1, SP2, etc. It is notable that they may bring, besides bug fixes, entirely new features.

For the ABAP parts of usage type PI, this is the implementation of support packages. For the Java parts, the deployment with the Java Support Package Manager (JSPM) is used.
You can find currently available support packages on SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/sp-stacks.
A description of how to apply support packages is available in SAP Note 879289.

What is difference between air play and home sharing when wanting to show photos on HD tv through apple tv?  Just bought Mac book air and apple tv.

You would have to use home-sharing if streaming from a computer. Computer would need to be on and running iTunes.

Disk:0 (and Disk:1, on the sups that support it) is an accessible CF slot.  Sup-bootflash is an internal flash for the SP.  With native mode, it's not used.  Bootflash is an internal flash used by the RP.
Default booting, usually uses the internal flash, on many of the later native IOSs, this can be overridden by IOS boot statements.
Older sup720s internal bootflash isn't large enough for the later IOS images so you're forced to boot from the external flash.  (I work with quite a few of these.  Often we keep an older IOS image on the internal bootflash so if someone pulls the CF, we have something to bring a sup720 on, although it may not recognize later line cards.)
Later sup720s have had their internal flash upgraded (to use an CF).  The larger internal flash has been renamed to bootflash.  BTW, there's also an upgrade kit to replace the older internal RP bootflash with a CF.
Besides the boot commands in an IOS image, the config-register also controls booting.  If a sup720 just boots into ROMMOM, you can select different media/IOS images to boot from.  Also BTW, there's different versions of the ROMMOM, which have some impact on how a sup720 can boot its IOS.

  • Difference between MARS LMS and IPS

I am trying to understand the difference between MARS, LMS and IPS and why you would use one over the other.
    Thank you all.

MARS is an appliance that aggregates/deduplicates syslog and netflow data from routers, switches, firewalls, and IPS sensors. In addition to Cisco devices it also supports things like Checkpoint Firewalls, Snort IPS, etc.
LMS (Ciscoworks LMS) is primarily a device configuration and IOS management platform that runs on your own Windows server (not sure if Unix is still supported.) We use it to maintain the configs of hundreds of Cisco routers and switches, easily push out config changes to said devices, and mass-deploy IOS upgrades.
IPS is sort of like anti-virus "on the wire" - it runs on dedicated IPS sensors, plug-in modules on firewalls or 6500's, and on routers via IOS IPS. Events can be forwarded to MARS for correlation, etc.
You didn't ask, but CSM (Cisco Security Manager) is the more appropriate tool for mass-configuration and 'group policy' for firewalls and IPS sensors.
Each product solves a particular problem; you wouldn't choose one over the other since they all work together to provide a cohesive solution. The specifics of your environment (particularly the number and type of devices) would dictate your choices here.

what is difference between adobe photoshop  and photoshop extended cs5

    Hi,
The biggest difference is the 3D feature set is only available in Ps Extended CS5. Exclusive to Extended CS5 also are timeline for video editing, Dicom format support, Stack mode blending, analysis measurement tools, and some 32-bit painting capabilities.
Some things have changed for the Photoshop Extended CS6 version, mainly enabling more of the video editing features for both products.

  • What is the difference between Video-out and mirroring?

What is the difference between Video-out and mirroring? I can't get iPhone 4 video to work on my TV screen
I have just bought an MD098ZM/A (Apple 30-pin Digital AV Adapter). I am struggling to get it to show a picture on my TV. I know I'm doing something right because the audio is coming out of my TV speakers but no picture on the TV screen.
I have used the same HDMI channel (on the TV side) with the same cable and my thunderbolt port (MacBook Air) without any trouble - and on the same app (BBC iPlayer download then full-screen mode).
Now I note that the packaging for the MD098ZM/A says video-out on iPhone 4 but mirroring only on iPhone 4S. I only have an iPhone 4 (not the 4S). Now if the lack of iPhone 4 support for mirroring means that I can't play video material out to my TV, then in what sense is there any video-out capability at all?
There is only safety and warranty paperwork in the Apple adapter packaging - no help information. And I haven't found further guidance online either.
I do note somewhere online that it suggests that basic non-mirroring video-out (for this adapter) only works with some external TV sets. Any way of finding out which? I'm using a Sanyo CE32LD90-B LCD TV if it helps.
So far not doing very well.

Now found these but have had to give up on this adapter!

  • Difference between booked items and requested items

    Hi Gurus,
I wanted to understand the difference between
Booking History - booked items – booked date
Booking History – requested items –booked date
The Series definition has the same definition given in the hint. I checked one of the below links for the same topic but couldn't get a full view.
Which series go to Actual_quantity in Standrad collections
Can any one let me know what the difference between booked items and requested items is? As I understand in OM, we have no differentiation. Do let me know
    Thanks
    DNP

    Hi
In normal circumstances, there is no difference between requested item vs. booked item. But if you're using Item Substitution, these could be different. For example, a customer may call to request item A but for multiple reasons it may be substituted by a different item (usually an upgrade with similar form, function etc).
Oracle APS supports this functionality out of box in order promising and ASCP where it can be done based on a pre-defined relationship based on availability etc.
Hope this answers your question, please feel free to let me know if I may help calrify further

  • Difference between Transaction Figures and Line Items

    Hi,
I gone through FI like FI-GL,FI-AR,FI-AP..there i find...
Line Items & Transaction figures as main...like
    in FI we have
    Line Items - 0FI_GL_4,0FI_AR_4,0FI_AP_4 etc...
    Transaction Figures - 0FI_GL_6,0FI_AR_6,0FI_AP_6 etc...
    Now Can some please explain...
    what exactly Line Items are?
    What exactly Transaction Figures are?
How data flows from end to end in FI? i.e where exactly GL,AR,AP comes into picture..how they are internally related?
Some one please explain me in detail (with expamles if possible) and quick reply is much appreciated...
    Regards
    Ramsunder

    Hi
    What exactly  line items :
Line items are document items that were posted to a specific account. In contrast to a document item a line item only contains the information from the document that is relevant from the account view.
You can display the following line items:
Open items, Cleared items, Noted items, Parked items ,Items with special G/L transactions (in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable),Items with customer or vendor items (in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable)
You can display the line items for the following account types:  Customer accounts,Vendor accounts,G/L accounts.
    What exactly Transaction Figures are?
Transaction figures are the sums of line items on the debit or credit side. The balance is the difference between the debit and the credit transaction figure.
    If you take General ledger
AP records all accounting transactions for dealings with suppliers(Vendors). Much of its data is obtained from procurement (Materials Management).
AR records all accounting transactions for dealings with customers. Much of its data is obtained from Sales and Distribution.
Asset Accounting records all accounting transactions relating to the management of assets.
Travel Management manages and calculates travel costs and supports travel planning and travel expenses.
Bank ledger supports the posting of cash flows.

  • Feature set difference between FI-AR and FI-CA

    Hi,
While I am trying to do a comparison analysis between FI-AR/AP and FI-CA for Insurance Industry, I can deduce various facts like FI-CA been developed for transaction extensive industries like telecom/insurance which might often need automated processing (FI-AR appears to have more of manual processes for handling aspects of incoming payments) along with required performance. FI-AR/AP are more of standard Accounts receivable/payable module not necessarily catering to exact needs of industries mentioned above. Another major difference is the more flexible master data model FI-CA has to offer compared to FI-AR/AP.
However, I am not able to deduce clearly if there are corresponding features available in FI-AR/AP for specific features available in FI-CA for handling incoming & outgoing payments. e.g.:
    1) Is bank reconciliation supported in FI-AR/AP? Do we have mechanisms to upload electronic bank statement for the same?
    2) Does FI-AR provides varying features like different lot processing in FI-CA for bulk processing, Cash desk (i know this is not supported in FI-AR). The process of clearing appears to be very manual intensive.
    3) Similarly what is the support for payments (especially automated for bulk processing) in FI-AP?
    4) Assume other insurance industry specific features like brokers collection, collection agency collections, co-insurance specific features etc. are not supported in FI-AR/AP and no corresponding features would exist for obvious reasons.
Please suggest any other major differences between FI-CA and FI-AR/AP from an Insurance/Reinsurance industry perspective you may know of.
Thanks in advance for your time.
    Regards,
    Ankit

    Ravindra,
    1) Check the configuration.
Data from SD is posted to accounts (FI/PCA) via condition type -> accout key -> access sequence -> account.
Data from SD is posted to SIS via the mapping of condition type to key figures.
    2) Check if values are posted to sales accounts directly from FI. These will not reflect in SIS.
