OIM 11.1.1.5.0 - ActiveDirectory 11.1.1.5.0 Installation Status : Failed
Hi everyone,
I want to install the active directory connector 11.1.1.5.0 for my oim but the installation failed for the step => "Import of the connector XML files (by using the Deployment Manager)". It shows the error :
DOBJ.XML_IMPORT_ERROR
oracle.iam.scheduler.exception.SchedulerConverterException: Unable to find ressource 'oracle/iam/scheduler/converter/schedulermap.vm'
What does it means ? I don't understand why it is looking for this schedulermap.vm
Thanks a lot for your answer !
Regards
Thibault
Hi Thibault,
according to http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E22999_01/doc.111/e20347/intro.htm#BABGDDEE the 11.1.1.5.0 Microsoft Active Directory User Management connector needs at least Oracle Identity Manager 11g release 1 (11.1.1.5.2) BP02 with patch 13684913.
So you better try the 9.1.1.5 one: http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/ias/connectors/910/MSFT_AD_91150.zip
Now regarding the server installation there is not OIM 11.1.1.2 version. The 11.1.1.2 is referring to the suite that contains OID, OVD, OIF.
OIM is part of the Identity & Access Management Suite and the versions that exist are 11.1.1.3 and 11.1.1.5, each of these can be installed directly.
Best regards,
Florin

Hi,
I am using OIM 9.1.0.2
When I install the AD connector from Deployment Manager -->Install Connector, It shows the error
DOBJ.XML_IMPORT_ERROR
Unknown tag OBJ_OFFLINED recieved.
Step 2 : Connector Installation
ActiveDirectory 9.1.1.7.0 Installation Status : Failed
Configuration of Connector Libraries
X Import of Connector XML Files (Using Deployment Manager)
X Compilation of Adapter Definitions
Click Retry to retry the installation after correcting the errors.
What needs to be done for this ?
Regards
PraveenWith the introduction of oim 9.1.0.2, the Offline-Line Provisioning attribute was added to the Resource Object. You are trying to import the connector into an environment that is out of date. The solution to this is to open up the XML file, and cut out the XML tag within your resource object for OBJ_OFFLINED and then it should work. But the next issue you are going to run into is most likely the connector version is not supported in your version so it might not work.

Importing OIM AD connector config XML files
Hello All,
I am importing the AD connector files in the OIM admin and user console.
After selecting the AD connector files, in step 2 i need the perform 3 operations as stated below.
My operation fails when I try to import XML files using deployment manager. I am able to see the import screen and there it says you cannot perform this operation.
I get this error:
Step 2 : Connector Installation
ActiveDirectory 9.1.1.4 Installation Status : Failed
PASSED Configuration of Connector Libraries
FAILED Import of Connector XML Files (Using Deployment Manager)
Compilation of Adapter Definitions
The error stated is : DOBJ.XML_IMPORT_ERROR
ORA-00904: "OBJ_OFFLINED": invalid identifier
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
VSNHello all,
I was able to figure out the answer for my question on the xml import error.
It was due to improper patching of OIM server.
This error can be confirmed if you check the OBJ table, it will not have a column name called OBJ_OFFLINE.
So apply all the patches from scratch and in sequence.

Hello All,
I am installing the AD connector.
When I am in Admin console, I was able to see AD option in the drop down when I specified the alternate address as OIM_HOME/xellerate/
After loading the AD connector, I am getting this error message:
Invalid Connector Installation Directory
Ensure that the connector installation files are in the specified directory.
ActiveDirectory 9.1.1.4 Installation Status : Failed
X Configuration of Connector Libraries
I made sure all the XML files are in the right place, I am strictly following the AD connector documentation. But unfortunately I am not able to identify where it is
going wrong?
Please help me with this.
Thanks.
VSNHi
Make sure that you are AD connector installation files are placed in correct directory. It should be in OIM/xellerate/ConnectorDefaultDirectory.

OIM: Issue with changing AD group membership
I'm trying to add/remove groups in the AD child form and I get the error below.
- I can successfully change properties on the main form, such as last name, etc...
- I don't get why the errors come up from the schedule task API..ex: com.thortech.xl.schedule.tasks.ADITRes ??
- I've tried tracing this all the way to the .jar file using a decompiler... I think it has somethign to do with either the Group DN or the IT resource, but can't tell which.
- I've successfully Reconed all Groups/OUs.
- I don't see how it can be the ITResource since I can change attribs, unless it's looking at the IT resource of the Schedule task.
EDIT: I'm using OIM 9102BP11 with latest version of the ADconnector (9.1.x)
I should also note that this was working perfectly fine until I tried to move to GCADITResource. Even when I move back to regular ADITresource, provision a new user, i keep getting this error.

Edited by: Alex S on Sep 20, 2010 10:45 AMThe individual rows in the AD user group object child table contains references to which IT resource this group refers to so if you switch ADITresource back and forth it is very easy to get things out of synch.
The exact structure of references between the rows in the child table, the IT resources and the DN of the groups is a bit complex so I can't tell you by heart exactly how it should be but take a look into this and hopefully you will be able to spot the issue.

[OIM 9.1.0.2] Trusted Recon Workaround
Hi all,
IHAC that uses a GTC (Flat file) for trusted recon.
The generated file for reconciliation brings entries of actives and inactives users (So, the expected result is User Creation, User Update and User Disabling).
AFAIK, the User Definition Fields has some fields defined per defualt as mandatory. For some entries, the effect expected was the user to be disabled (in the case of inactive user), but like sometimes, the generated file has some entries with those mandatory fields in blank or invalid value, so those entries are not reconciliated and the user is not disabled. This is causing a security issue, since access and permission of the users are not revoked.
Customer request: During trusted recon, the OIM should ignore the mandatory field just for inactive users (there is a field that define this status).
My question:
1) Can I achieve this requirement in OIM? Would this a trouble even by customization? Let me know your thought.
2) Is it possible to turn those fields as 'not-required' in a native manner?
I would appreciate any help on this.
Regards,Use Transformation to achieve this...
Following link will be helpful regarding Transformation
Pre-Computations in OIM 11gR2
In case of mandatory attributes in the custom Transformation:-
(1) Use Status flag to determine InActive users
(2) Obtain by using OIM API current values of those Mandatory fields...
(3) Return the same value... This means ignoring the mandatory values... -

####<Jan 23, 2007 4:50:15 PM EST> <Warning> <Deployer> <SNSSRV101>Ryan,
I'm starting to set up the same environment as you. The purpose is to learn as I'm a newbie to IdM. What are all the components I will need to install? From the tutorials/docs on this site I was able to conclude:
Oracle DB
App Server - tutorial uses JBoss...I'd rather use WebLogic to learn it as well
Oracle Identity Manager
Does sequence matter? Unfortunately, the tutorials aren't as detailed as, for example, Microsoft's Walkthroughs for MIIS 2003.

I setup ESSO Provision Gateway Connector in OIM 11G.
But during "add credential task" I get error:
"*The add_credential execution failed. Error: Error in sending instruction from provisioning manager in Api Command (400) Bad Request. Add Credential Command failed to get invoked*".
In Event Log of the Windows Server 2008 with the Provision Gateway I saw:
"*Unexpected end tag. Line 6, position 1015*", "*server cannot clear headers after http headers have been sent*".
It means a syntax error in xml request of connector to web-service of Provision Gateway.
Wireshark shows me sent xml-request:
"<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">

I saved it to xml-file and opened in Internet Explorer and there was error.
Then I decided to watch the view of this request in OIM 9.1.0.2 to compare with request in OIM 11G.
I found out next one:
the main difference was in last tag "*</#document>*".
I take this tag off from xml-file, taken from request of OIM 11G and saved the file.
Edited xml-file was correct.
Is it error in connector or in OIM 11G?How to solve it?Can anyone help me?Hi!
I get the same error during Add Credential task with the ESSO PG connector in OIM 11g.....
The add_credential execution failed. Error: Error in Sending instruction from the provisioning manager in API Command (400)Bad Request.
com.passlogix.integration.provision.client.CommandInvocationException: Error in Sending instruction from the provisioning manager in API Command (400)Bad Request
Where I can check the xml file?
You could solve the problem?
Thanks in advance!!! -
SSL setup - Weblogic 10.3 and OIM 9.1.0.1
I am using self generated certs. I have followed all the steps in configuring SSL for OIM given in section 8.6.2 SSL Certificate Setup given in Installation and Configuration Guide for Oracle WebLogic Server Release 9.1.0.1 E14047-02.
But when I try to perform the following step:
To configure the trust store:
1. Copy the supportcert.pem file to the following location on the Design Console:
OIM_DC_HOME\java\lib\security.
2. Open a command prompt at OIM_DC_HOME\java\lib\security and run the
following command:
cd OIM_DC_HOME\java\lib\security
keytool -import
-alias support
-trustcacerts
-file supportcert.pem
-keystore cacerts
-storepass changeit
I don't see any folder in oim client as given above of \java\lib\security. So I created the same and followed the instructions but still the keytool.exe s not present in it. So is something missing in the document that we are not aware of? Do we have to copy the keytool.exe from BEA_HOME? I tried that too but it propped up an error saying some DLL/JAR not found.
I found this viewlet which shows something different related to SSL setup in weblogic
\S21880\Setup_SSL_Certificates_WLS70_61_viewlet_swf.htm
Are the steps given in the guide enough for the SSL configuration between weblogic and oim ? or do we need to follow some other steps too ?
Any ideas/clues/suggestions? Very appreciative.
Many Thanks in advance.
- oidm.I had a look into the xlclient.cmd file and went to the JAVA directory which is being used. And did a search for the "cacerts" and found out that there is a file named cacerts in the JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/security folder over there.
But how does that relate to the problem of running the keytool command successfully at the right place (OIM_DC_HOME) ?
Any hints Kevin....
Thanks,
- oidm. -
Hi,
I have installed the following components successfully
Oracle Database : 10.2.0.1
Weblogic Server : 10.3.0
OIM : 9.1.0.1
Platform : Microsoft Windows XP
Then, I have download the patch : p8484010_9102_Generic and followed necessary documents to upgrade OIM 9.1.0.1 to 9.1.0.2.
Patch installation was successful. While restarting the server we are encountering servlet exception, Nexaweb deployment ends up in failure.
Error Details
========
weblogic.application.ModuleException: [HTTP:101216]Servlet: "ClientClassServlet" failed to preload on startup in Web application: "Nexaweb".
javax.servlet.ServletException: com.nexaweb.server.clientmgmt.ClientClassLoader
Further we faced a number of class not found exception in com.thortech.xlscheduler.schedule.task
Kindly suggest me if we are using correct versions of all OIM components mentioned above for upgrading OIM 9.1.0.1 to 9.1.0.2 and also let us know if we need to upgrade any other components before applying the patch.
Help required at the earliestGo to Weblogic admin console and see whether both applications are deployed successfully or not.
Also see the patch_weblogic.log whether it has some exception while deploying Nexaweb.

How to get details of Pending Approval request in OIM 11g R2?
Hi,
We need to find out following details from Pending Approval Request in OIM 11g R2 -
Request ID,Assignees,Requested Resource Name, Title of Request, Beneficiary, Status of Request.
Out of above attributes we could find out Assignees, Title of Request, Status of Request, Beneficiary, etc. But we are not getting Request ID and Requested Resource Name.
We have used API - 'IworkflowServiceClient'
If we use API - 'RequestService' then we are not getting Assignees and Resource name from Pending approval request.
Can any one suggeste how can we get these details? Do we need to use other API or other alternative to get all of attributes from Pending Approval Request.
Thanks.Thanks Kevin for your suggestion.
In OIM 11g R2 I tried task.getIdentificationKey() to get Request ID and task.getSystemMessageAttributes().getTextAttribute6() to get requested resource name but I am getting null values out of it. Is there something I am missing?
Which common thing I can use to retrieve data from both OIM and SOAINFRA? As I am not getting Request ID from 'IworkflowServiceClient' API so I could not use it to earch request in OIM using 'RequestService'. Even if I have to use query what will be common thing I can use to fetch data from both tablespaces?
Thanks. -
BMC Remedy ticket generation and view its status in OIM using Web Service
Hi All,
I want to Integrate and on-board Remedy system (BMC) with the Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) for my client. It has a standard way for external applications to exchange Remedy ticket data with the Remedy system. Remedy system picks up information from the external interface database table for inbound Remedy tickets and direct it to the appropriate Remedy forms and workflow. (In short it raises tickets for provisioning / deprovisioning / error processing for Target System like ACF2 etc).
Use Cases:
*1.* Visibility of Ticket Status
The status of a Remedy ticket could be viewed by the user by clicking on Remedy Resource object instance found from the "My Resources" link after logging into OIM. Typically the user form should be visible.
Visibility of Ticket Status (Alternative)
The scope of customization of the "My Resources" link to add e.g. "My Tickets" which would show all the Remedy tickets that OIM has raised for the user.
*2.* Web Services
The Remedy application would notify OIM when the status of a ticket is changed within the Remedy System boundary. Ideally a web service hosted by the security team would get called by the Remedy Application and OIM would be updated by the service
This is an urgent requirement and your feedback would be very valuable and highly appreciated. I am looking forward for a solution for both the use cases but the priority is on 2nd use case i.e the web service part using SPML.

How to lock the AD Account through OIM
Hi.
I am provisioning AD through OIM 11g using the AD Connector. I have done the create user, modified user provisioning through OIM in AD successfully without any issue.
I would like to lock the OIM account and also lock the respective target accounts when OIM account is locked.
I have done the following task to lock the account in OIM and also in AD through OIM. They are
Process Definition Task
I have created the Change Account Status task in process definition.
This task will populate the OIM Account lock status value to the AD Account is Locked out field in the ADUSER form using the OIM API. The same API is working for all First Name, Last Name etc modification without any issue.
Lookup Definition
I have added the following entry in the Lookup.USR_PROCESS_TRIGGERS Lookup Definition
Code Key : USR_LOCKED and Decode : Change Account Status
OIM Admin Console
I have logged into the OIM admin Console as a Administrator and I have search the user and click the Lock Account button. The OIM Account is locked , but target resource account was not locked and also Change Account Status task was not triggered by OIM.
Do i need to do any special configuration for account lock for the target resource.
Help is greatly appreciated. In your System Configuration variables, find the value for "XLUserResource.ProvisionMode". Make sure this is set to Java and not DB.

This property determines whether provisioning of the Xellerate User resource to the user's organization occurs in the database layer through stored procedure, or in the Java layer via Event Handlers.
Note: See Oracle Fusion Middleware Developer's Guide for Oracle Identity Manager for information about Event Handlers.
This property has the following allowed values:
DB: Provisioning of the Xellerate User resource to the user's organization occurs in the database layer through stored procedure. This in turn does not trigger any further process. Therefore, custom tasks associated with the Xellerate User provisioning process that is associated with the Xellerate User resource does take place.
Java: Provisioning of the Xellerate User resource to the user's organization occurs in the database layer via Event Handlers. Custom tasks associated with the Xellerate User provisioning process that is associated with the Xellerate User resource takes place. This is applicable to the upgrade scenario, where you have your own tasks associated with provisioning processes in earlier releases of Oracle Identity Manager, and you want them to run even after 11g upgrade. In such scenario, set the value of this property value to JAVA.

OIM 9101 with Weblogic 10.3.0 - basic query
Hi All
I am trying to install OIM 9101 with Weblogic 10.3.0 and Oracle DB 11.1.0.6 on Windows 2003 (64-bit) and Sun JDK 1.6.0_10 (Oracle certified configuration).
The problem is that my weblogic fails to start-up as soon as I enter the weblogic user-name on the command prompt. It says that the weblogic is not able to use some binary to pick-up the userID. This may be some issue related to Win 64bit environment.
To overcome this issue, I hard coded the userID and password for weblogic in Weblogic's SetDomainEnv.cmd file.
I want to know whether including the userID and password in the weblogic's file can result in OIM installation failure.
Please help.I personally don't think your OIM installation will fail because of that as OIM installation only execute some of the WLS configuration script to install OIM applications into WLS.
