OIM 11g install
On Windows, OIM 11g install stops due to OracleMTSRecoveryService not running. When i try to run the service, its gives an error saying a ssytem could not find the file specified. Not sure what file its talking about. Anyone help with this?
Hi Gurus,
I think I found the answer.
I downloaded wrong version of weblogic
I had linux 32 , and wanted weblogic 10.3.3, So I went here ( row 3 , column 2)
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/wls-main-097127.html
file name = wls1033_dev.zip
well I was wrong it was not 10.3.3 or something was wrong. SOA installer did not recognise it as 10.3.3.
Who is to blame. I wasted 3 days I hope Oracle keeps right versions in its website for download.
I got the right one from edelievry
http://edelivery.oracle.com/EPD/Download/get_form?egroup_aru_number=11493750
and download =
Download Oracle WebLogic Server 11gR1 (10.3.3) for Linux x86 V21014-01 703M
Hope this helps some one.
Thanks!

Hi All,
Is it possible to install just the files for an OIM 11g installation, but connect it to an existing database?
For example, if I have a current environment, and I managed to break my WLS to the point where I can't start it, is there any way I can reinstall Weblogic with OIM/SOA but not lose all my OIM configurations?
ThanksThe way to do it is to follow the same procedure which you used while installing a new environment but leave the RCU part where you create the schema(s). Once WLS, IAM, SOA are installed you would have to configure IAM. At that step where you configure IAM via the config wizard and provide the db details, there it would prompt you a warning saying that the database is already encrypted from previous installation and that if you want to continue. If you want to continue then you need to copy the .xldatabase key from the previous installation (fwmconfig folder from Oracle_IDM home if I remember it correctly) into the new installation directory. Once copied, you would be able to start OIM successfully.
The problem with SOA as I understand is that it does not keep the private key into some key file but rather keeps it into the credential map (in the mbeans). If you look at the cretential map of SOA via EM on you current installation, you would see a bunch of passwords saved there. The problem thus is to get the unencrypted value from that and once new installation is complete (pointing to the existing db), update its credential map.
I think there should be some jps config for it, but haven't got the time to dig around it. Let us know if you get to find anything.

Weblogic Managed server not starting after installing OIM 11g
Hi All,
I have installed OIM 11g successfully and I am able to start the WL Admin Server. But when I try to start the Managed Server for OIM (oim_server1), the screen just disappears and do not generate any logs.
I haven't used the WL JDK while installing, used seperate JDK. Does it create any problem in starting the managed Server.
Please help in solving this..
Thanks,
anagHi,
How are you starting the managed server, is it like this?
xlStartManagedServer.cmd oim_server1 <URL of admin server>

Installing OIM 11g on windows XP
I am a complete newbie to OIM.
Is there a document available for installing OIM 11g on windows XP?
Also can we use sunone directory server as the LDAP server with OIM?
-ArnoldThanks a lot.
That was really helpful.
Need bit of help on Oracle Identity manager (IDM). We have installed IDM on windows and when we wanted to configure domain and configure the managed server instances (in weblogic server) by clicking config.bat from common/bin, we were not able to see the Identity manager instance in the list. What could be the reason?
Should IDM be part of same domain as webcenter spaces? When we were trying to work with sapces it was expecting oracle identity server to be running.
When installing the identity manager it was asking oracle home. Does that mean oracle db has to reside on the machine where IDM is installed? Could be this be affecting the IDM instance not appearing in the list?

How setup LDAP Sync After Install in OIM 11g ver, 11.1.1.5.0
Hi guys, I'm trying to find how to setup LDAP Sync After Install in OIM 11g (ver, 11.1.1.5)....
I found on Metalink an interesting article "*How to Setup LDAP Sync After Install in OIM 11g [ID 1272682.1]*", but inside there is a Note that says:
Note: This article is applicable to OIM version 11.1.1.3 only. Steps for 11.1.1.5 are not the same, and product manual has documented steps to setup LDAP sync after install.
So, that the steps for 11.1.1.5 are not the same, it's clear.....
and I tried to look for these steps in the manual:
Oracle® Fusion Middleware Quick Installation Guide for Oracle Identity Management
11g Release 1 (11.1.1)
Part Number E10033-06
but I didn't still find nothing for the specific 11.1.1.5.0 version....only for the 11.1.1.3.0 version
Can anyone help me to find where these steps are ? I need this information as soon as possible ti start the development
Thanks in advance for the help
AlexIf you are creating Before and After Create Opeation script, you would be able to access all the variables in the process form. Now obvious question, what are the names of these variables? The answer is: the name of the variable is same as that mentioned in the "decode" column of the provisioning attribute map lookup or in other words, the variable name is same as the AD attribute name. In the example mentioned in the documentation, the variable "%givenName% was used in the script. On the similar lines you can use other variables like "sn", "samAccountName", etc.
Hope the information helps. -
OIM 11g OID connector install error
Hi,
I'm trying to install the OID connector (OID_904140.zip) for OIM 11g (11.1.1.5), but it fails and I get this error message on my screen:
"A system error occurred.
Contact the Oracle Identity Manager System Administrator."
I have unzipped the OID_904140.zip into /home/oracle/Oracle/Middleware/Oracle_IDM1/server/ConnectorDefaultDirectory/
..and the ldap.jar and ldapbp.jar to the subfolder targetsystems-lib/OID_904140/
I can load it, but when I press install something fails. The log tells me this:

Trying to help:
1-Go and take a look into CIH table into OIM Schema.
1.2-If OID is there, chech: CIH_STATUS column.
1.3-If it's recorded into this table. Try to follow OIM Connector Unistall guide and do it again.

I am going for installation of OIM 11g 11.1.1.5.Kindly tell me that following components's versions will be compatible and if not kindly recommend the compatible one.
Oracle Databae 10.1.3
Oracle WebLogic server 10.3.3
Oracle SOA suite 11.1.1.2.0Hi,
your database version should be minimum 10.2.0.4. Older may cause some problem though only schema is important. Your weblogic and SOA are compatible, but it'll be better to go with Oracle WebLogic server 10.3.5 and install SOA 11.1.1.5 from OFM suite 11.1.1.5.

Oim 11g can not install connector
Hi All,
i have installed oim 11G.
trying to install the dbum connector,
according to the manual, I have copied all the installation files and directories to OIM_HOME/server/ConnectorDefaultDirectory
but when I press the install connector on the oim admin console, the window opens ...but i can not see any connector in the LOV ,
meaning i can not install the connector, even tried bouncing the WL and OIM , not much help.
does any of you know of some error alike? / solution ?
(with v9 of oim I did nit have any problem with the same) .
Cheers
S.Off-course it works, make sure the folder structure is correct.
*/ConnectorDefaultDirectory/<Connector-Installation-Media-Parent-Folder>/*
Now all the connector folder should be directly in there like configuration, lib etc -

Creating GTC in OIM 11g (11.1.1.3.0)
Hi,
I'm trying to install Generic Technology Connector (Database_App_Tables_9.1.0.5.0) and to configure the target sysatem as a trusted source reconcilation task in OIM 11g 11.1.1.3 but I get a lot of problems. I used the following quides to do that:
1) Oracle® Identity Manager Connector Guide for Database Application Tables Release 9.1.0
2) racle® Fusion Middleware Developer's Guide for Oracle Identity Manager 11g Release 1 (11.1.1)
First of all, these quides don't correspond to the OIM 11g or I'm not smart enough to understand them. On the step 3 of configuration target system as a trusted source I can't find some of the mandatory fields of the OIM User form. The Guide tells me that mandatory fields are: User ID, First Name, Last Name, Employee Type, User Type, Organization. But in the User form only some of them represented: First Name, Last Name, Organization.
Nevertheless I configured my system as follows:
1) I'd created table EMPLOYEES with columns LOGIN, FIRSTNAME(primary key), LASTNAME, ORGANIZATION in my Oracle DB. I'd add one row in my table useru, User, User, Xellerate Users.
2) I'd configured my connector as follows:
step1:
Name Test
Reconciliation select
Transport Provider Database Application Tables Reconciliation
Format Provider Database Application Tables Reconciliation
Trusted Source Reconciliation selected
step2:
Database Driver oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
Database URL jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:orcl
Database User ID system
Database Password *******
Parent Table/View Name EMPLOYEES
Reconcile Deletion of Multivalued Attribute Data not selected
Reconciliation Type Full
step3:
source reconciliation staging OIM
LOGIN---------------->LOGIN-------------------------------------->User Login
FIRSTNAME-------->FIRSTNAME------------------------------->First Name(Matching only)
LASTNAME--------->LASTNAME------------------------------->Last Name
ORGANIZATION-->ORGANIZATION------------------------>Organization
After running TEST_GTC schedule, reconciliation is finished without errors in OIM log file and reconciliation evet is created.
The Reconciliation data of this event looks like:
Attribute Name Attribute value OIM mapped field
LOGIN useru User Login
FIRSTNAME User First Name
LASTNAME User Last Name
ORGANIZATION Xellerate Users Organization Name
The History of this event looks like:
Event Recieved
Data Validation Succeded
No User Match Found
Creation Faild
Notes: ORA Error Code =>ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into () ORA Error Stack =>ORA-06512: at DEV_OIM.OIM_SP_RECONBLKUSERCRUD", line 722
Has anyone any ideas how to get through this?
Thanks in Advance!Be a Good Guild Leader in the WOW Gold.By the way, we sincerely invite all game players whether you are newbie or veteran to Buy WOW Gold. Then, the icing on the cake: Your guild leader emu-raged when your husband made a comment about the(RS Gold) whole thing. To me, your husband reacted naturally. I probably would have said the same thing. The only person doing something "wrong" in this situation was your guild leader. The bottom line is this: It's not a guild leader's place to(Lotro Gold) "test" your behavior. Honestly, I can't imagine a context in which it would be appropriate for (Metin2 Gold)anyone to do this, under any circumstances. The sheer self-righteousness of it nauseates me.

Error running Organization Lookup Recon in OIM 11g R2 with Active Directory
Hi all,
I have an implementation of OIM 11g R2, with an Active Directory 11.1.1.5.0 connecting to an instance of Active Directory on Windows Server 2008. I am trying to run the "Active Directory Organization Lookup Reconciliation" scheduled task, but the job fails with this error:

This is the full stack trace from the oim_domain.log file:

The Connector Server is installed on the AD instance, and the key has been set, and used appropriately in the Active Directory Connector Server IT Resource in OIM.
Any advice on how to resolve this error or on any possible causes would be much appreciated, thank you. From the installation media, copy and extract contents of the bundle/ActiveDirectory.Connector-1.1.0.6380.zip file to the CONNECTOR_SERVER_HOME directory
