OIM 11gR2 : GTC working but no entry in USR
Hi,
I am running a GTC for recon with the ODS. I am getting no errors in the error log, the scheduler runs the GTC job absolutely fine but i am not getting the recon entry in the USR table. Kindly help.

OIM 11gR2: GTC logical cancellation
Hi all,
in our OIM environment (OIM 11gR2) we have installed and configured a GTC that provisions and reconciliates to and from an Oracle Database Application Table.
The GTC works fine and when we try to revoke an account, it deletes the account from target system.
What we would like to implement is the "logical cancellation" functionality. Upon account revocation, the GTC should sets the value "1" to one of the target system fields (named "IS_DELETED") instead deletes it from target system.
Is it possible to achieve this?

If you are looking for some configuration in GTC itself then I don't think it is possible. -
Date format mismatch between OIM 11gR2 GTC and backend custom database table (Oracle 11g R2)
Hi,
We have an OIM 11g R2 version running that has a GTC installed and configured. The GTC is used to provision to a 11g R2 database table via the DBAT 9.1.0.5.0 connector. Now the requirement is that the timestamp be recorded in the backend DB when a new record is provisioned to it using the GTC.
During the setup of the GTC, the target system date format is asked for should be one from among the values allowed by the following predefined formats:

Now our problem is that the target DB to which the provisioning is supposed to happen, isn't under our control and hence we cannot change its schema, and the date format in that table is of the type "01-JAN-10 12.00.00.000000000 AM", which translates to "dd-MMM-yy hh.mm.ss.fffffffff (AM/PM)".
On the other hand, as you can see from the above link, none of the values that OIM allows to be passed through the GTC allow for that format to be used.
Does anyone know of any way in which we can intercept the GTC provisioning request and convert the date on the fly, after OIM has passed on the control, but before the values are written into the DB table, or does anyone know of any workarounds to this issue?
I'd really appreciate it if someone could provide a solution to this.

SMTP Auth (Works but log entry worries me)

So I'm seeing the following entries in the smtp / mail access log. All users can login fine and send / receive mail. I have ssl for imap required and smtp set to use (and not require). Clients are all 10.5.2 using apple mail and are configured to use ssl on port 993 with md-5 challenge response.

Every user displays this activity, I'm worried about the "no authentication" line...
I read this as CRAM-MD5 and SSL working just fine but what's with the no authentication? Am i worrying over nothing?
Also, where could I find similar login reports for smtp? I can view smtp logs of course and I do but that isn't where the login attempts are so I'd like to see if I am receiving similar errors for smtp.
If i'm worrying over nothing and just reading this wrong then by all means let me know

Has anyone attempted this and also failed or succeeded, or done something similar? I'd like to be able to use the Deployment Manager to create adapters because it's easier than dealing with the design console, especially for multiple adapters.
I can also post the xml file I'm using if anyone would like to see it.

Webservice Client is not working in OIM 11gR2
Hi,
We have created a web client using Axis 1.6.2 and using it in OIM 11gR2 for Request Validator Plugin. But we are getting issue that org.apache.axiom.om.OMAbstractFactory. getOMFactory() is not found. When we checked the JARs in class path we found that OIM Already has lower version of axiom1.2.5 in its class path under oim.ear which doesn't contain this method however Axis1.6.2 contains the newer version which contain this method. Does anybody has any idea how to override OIM default classpath JAR file and force it to read the library files available under plugin?Hi
I am facing similar issue but with Custom Adapter . I copied the axis jars under the JavaTasks folder but it does not help.
I then copied them under the oim.ear/APP_INF/lib and restarted the OIM managed server but somehow even that does not help.

OIM 11gR2 user not provisioning to Active Directory (11.1.1.5 connector)
Hello all,
I'm trying to set up an OIM 11gR2 instance to work with Active Directory with the Active Directory 11.1.1.5.0 connector. I've full installed both OIM and AD on separate servers, and I've installed the AD 11.1.1.5 connector on OIM. I have configured Active Directory properly (connector on OIM and the connector server on the AD server-side), and have set up the two IT Resources on OIM. I can run, for example, the Active Directory Organization Lookup Recon job and have it return results in the Lookup window.
My problem is that I cannot get it to provision to a user. I've created an Application Instance and Form for Active Directory, attached the Form, associated them with the appropriate resources (AD User), and added them to the Catalog, and then gone through the process of adding an account to the user, selecting the Application Instance, adding it to the cart, checking out, filling out the fields (Password, User ID, UPN, First Name, Last Name, Common Name, and Organization Name), and then submitting the request. This is all done as the xelsysadm admin user, but it still results with the account stuck on "Provisioning" because the "Create User" task failed due to a Connector Error (the reason stated is just a repeat of "Create Object" failed).
Anyone know what I'm missing here?

The organization field attribute is filled in correctly, in that the OU I selected exists in AD.

· Installed GTC connector for Database Web App 9.*
· Created new user and Table in Database
· Created IT resource for Database
· Created Sandbox, App Instance and Form, published sandbox
· Started catalog synchronization job scheduler
· Created user and and request account to app instance.

now we have check this user in database but still pre populated fields are not reflected. since this not working so we have found the other three links

according to these links they mention to implements the prepopulationadapter interface into the java class and create the plugin.xml for the class which we have used in jar.
so we prepared a plugin.xml

I have successfully installed OIM 11gR2 on Linux 64 bit and used weblogic 10.3.6. I have few queries and expecting your expertise.
1) Tried to install JDeveloper on it but it is getting failed saying it is not compatible with middleware. After googling, i found need to apply some ADF runtime drivers. But, I am not sure how to do. Can you please provide me some directions?
2) I went thru the documentation on sandbox concept in OIM 11gR2 but did not understand. Can you please explain me its concept clearly?
3) I tried to install OID from IDM 11.1.1.6 but it is getting failed saying it requires 32 bit Linux os but i did not find 64 bit OID software. Can you please provide me url where i can download OID software for Linux 64 bit.Hi Thiago,

OIM 11gR2 Request Validator Plugin and Axis based Web Service Client
Hi,
I am trying call a web service client generated using axis2 from a request validator plugin in OIM 11gR2 and I have all the axis related jar files under the plugin lib folder but it fails due to the axis reference issues.
I tried putting the jar files under different locations like thirdparty folder, server lib etc. But it is giving issues every where. Please let me know if you have some solution.
Thanks in advance,Haven't worked on this, but have you tried by putting the axis libraries inside the plugin lib folder when you are building up the plugin? Also you need to check asix2 compatibility with weblogic version with R2.

Organization Admin control in OIM 11gR2
Hi,
I was trying to configure Organization Admin control in OIM 11gR2. Our requirement is to configure roles having read access of organization (members of this role can only see the members of the organization but cannot update it), roles having admin control on organization (where members of this roles can read/write/execute member access). There should be different set of roles having access on different organization where members from one role cannot access the members of the other organization. I tried to configure these security models but the only thing i could find in organization is Admin Roles which also i couldn't able to configure very well :(. Can someone point me to the correct documentation or procedure/tool which we should use to achieve such functionality (These functionalities are very easily available in OIM 10g but couldn't find in 11gR2 :( )If you add the members of a role to the Admin Roles of a given Organization (Specifically OrclOIMOrgViewer Admin Role). The users will be able to see the users in that organization.
A few things to consider:
Only xelsysadm or a users in the System Administrator Admin Role can assign users to Admin Roles within the scope of an Organization.
Here is a piece of code that you can use to programmatically add users to the Admin Role OrclOIMOrgViewer:

Account stuck in Provisioning state in OIM 11gR2
Hello,
In OIM 11gR2, when provisioning fails, the application still shows in the accounts tab of the user, but it is stuck in the "Provisioning" state. I don't know if it's standard behavior, but it always does this for me. When this problem occurs, the only way I have found to remove the entry from the applications list is to completely delete the application instance and re-create it. Is there a cleaner way of removing the stuck account ? The "Remove Account" button does nothing for me.
