OIM 9.1.0.2 - ActiveDirectory 9.1.1.7.0 Installation Status : Failed
Hi,
I am using OIM 9.1.0.2
When I install the AD connector from Deployment Manager -->Install Connector, It shows the error
DOBJ.XML_IMPORT_ERROR
Unknown tag OBJ_OFFLINED recieved.
Step 2 : Connector Installation
ActiveDirectory 9.1.1.7.0 Installation Status : Failed
Configuration of Connector Libraries
X Import of Connector XML Files (Using Deployment Manager)
X Compilation of Adapter Definitions
Click Retry to retry the installation after correcting the errors.
What needs to be done for this ?
Regards
Praveen
With the introduction of oim 9.1.0.2, the Offline-Line Provisioning attribute was added to the Resource Object. You are trying to import the connector into an environment that is out of date. The solution to this is to open up the XML file, and cut out the XML tag within your resource object for OBJ_OFFLINED and then it should work. But the next issue you are going to run into is most likely the connector version is not supported in your version so it might not work.

Hi everyone,
I want to install the active directory connector 11.1.1.5.0 for my oim but the installation failed for the step => "Import of the connector XML files (by using the Deployment Manager)". It shows the error :
DOBJ.XML_IMPORT_ERROR
oracle.iam.scheduler.exception.SchedulerConverterException: Unable to find ressource 'oracle/iam/scheduler/converter/schedulermap.vm'
What does it means ? I don't understand why it is looking for this schedulermap.vm
Thanks a lot for your answer !
Regards
ThibaultHi Thibault,
according to http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E22999_01/doc.111/e20347/intro.htm#BABGDDEE the 11.1.1.5.0 Microsoft Active Directory User Management connector needs at least Oracle Identity Manager 11g release 1 (11.1.1.5.2) BP02 with patch 13684913.
So you better try the 9.1.1.5 one: http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/ias/connectors/910/MSFT_AD_91150.zip
Now regarding the server installation there is not OIM 11.1.1.2 version. The 11.1.1.2 is referring to the suite that contains OID, OVD, OIF.
OIM is part of the Identity & Access Management Suite and the versions that exist are 11.1.1.3 and 11.1.1.5, each of these can be installed directly.

Importing OIM AD connector config XML files
Hello All,
I am importing the AD connector files in the OIM admin and user console.
After selecting the AD connector files, in step 2 i need the perform 3 operations as stated below.
My operation fails when I try to import XML files using deployment manager. I am able to see the import screen and there it says you cannot perform this operation.
I get this error:
Step 2 : Connector Installation
ActiveDirectory 9.1.1.4 Installation Status : Failed
PASSED Configuration of Connector Libraries
FAILED Import of Connector XML Files (Using Deployment Manager)
Compilation of Adapter Definitions
The error stated is : DOBJ.XML_IMPORT_ERROR
ORA-00904: "OBJ_OFFLINED": invalid identifier
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
VSNHello all,
I was able to figure out the answer for my question on the xml import error.
It was due to improper patching of OIM server.
This error can be confirmed if you check the OBJ table, it will not have a column name called OBJ_OFFLINE.
So apply all the patches from scratch and in sequence.

Hello All,
I am installing the AD connector.
When I am in Admin console, I was able to see AD option in the drop down when I specified the alternate address as OIM_HOME/xellerate/
After loading the AD connector, I am getting this error message:
Invalid Connector Installation Directory
Ensure that the connector installation files are in the specified directory.
ActiveDirectory 9.1.1.4 Installation Status : Failed
X Configuration of Connector Libraries
I made sure all the XML files are in the right place, I am strictly following the AD connector documentation. But unfortunately I am not able to identify where it is
going wrong?
Please help me with this.
Thanks.
VSNHi
Make sure that you are AD connector installation files are placed in correct directory. It should be in OIM/xellerate/ConnectorDefaultDirectory.

OIM: Issue with changing AD group membership
I'm trying to add/remove groups in the AD child form and I get the error below.
- I can successfully change properties on the main form, such as last name, etc...
- I don't get why the errors come up from the schedule task API..ex: com.thortech.xl.schedule.tasks.ADITRes ??
- I've tried tracing this all the way to the .jar file using a decompiler... I think it has somethign to do with either the Group DN or the IT resource, but can't tell which.
- I've successfully Reconed all Groups/OUs.
- I don't see how it can be the ITResource since I can change attribs, unless it's looking at the IT resource of the Schedule task.
EDIT: I'm using OIM 9102BP11 with latest version of the ADconnector (9.1.x)
I should also note that this was working perfectly fine until I tried to move to GCADITResource. Even when I move back to regular ADITresource, provision a new user, i keep getting this error.

Edited by: Alex S on Sep 20, 2010 10:45 AMThe individual rows in the AD user group object child table contains references to which IT resource this group refers to so if you switch ADITresource back and forth it is very easy to get things out of synch.
The exact structure of references between the rows in the child table, the IT resources and the DN of the groups is a bit complex so I can't tell you by heart exactly how it should be but take a look into this and hopefully you will be able to spot the issue.

Error while installing OIM, during the OC4J Instance Configuration Assistan
Hi, running RHEL 4 32Bit Linux. There's an installation of the SOA Suite 10.1.3.1 (Release 2) on /u01/app/oracle/OracleAS_1, and I am installing OIM on /u01/app/oracle/OraHome_2
Near the end of the installation, when it's installing the recommended configuration assistants, I get an error while the OC4J Instance Configuration Assistant piece is running.
Here's the full readout:

I'm starting to set up the same environment as you. The purpose is to learn as I'm a newbie to IdM. What are all the components I will need to install? From the tutorials/docs on this site I was able to conclude:
Oracle DB
App Server - tutorial uses JBoss...I'd rather use WebLogic to learn it as well
Oracle Identity Manager
Does sequence matter? Unfortunately, the tutorials aren't as detailed as, for example, Microsoft's Walkthroughs for MIIS 2003.
Thanks and sorry to bug you with newbie questions. -
OIM 9.1.0 installation- Unable to access Admin console
Hello OIM Gurus,
I'm new to OIM. I am trying to setup OIM 9.1.0 one of windows VM. After the installation i'm unable to access to oim admin console using link http://localhost:8080/xlWebApp
If I try to access the above URL i get "The requested resource (/xlWebApp) is not available" message.
Here are the details for the environment
Environment: Windows Server 2003 R2
OIM Version: 9.1.0
App Server: jboss-4.0.3SP1
Database (OIM repository): MS-SQL server 2000 sp4
Please throw some light on this.
Thanks. Thanks Kevin. I have looked at the setup-jboss.profile.log inder <OIM_HOME>\xellerate\logs . I could find the below error

OIM 9.1.0.1 installation on Websphere 7
Hello,
Does any one have experience in installing OIM 9.1.0.1 on Websphere 7 instead of WAS 6? Do you foresee any issues during the installation? Our plan is to install OIM 9.1.0.2 BP 18 on WAS 7 (fresh installation).
Appreciate any feedback on this.
Thanks!Check the certification matrix.

OIM 11g: Error Installing Sybase DBUM User Management 9.1.0.4 connector
Hi All,
While installing Sybase DBUM User Management 9.1.0.4 connector from OIM console, I get the following:
While on Step 2 of the wizard (Connector Installation):
- Configuration of connector libraries: passes
- Import of connector XML Files (using deployment manager): FAILS
The following error message appears:
DOBJ.XML_IMPORT_ERROR
Unresolved dependency{WIN=Reconciliation Manager}
Operating System: Linux
Thanks in advance for any ideas!which release of OIM are you using.
Did you try to retry the installation of connector?
If not then refrsh your OIM database and then install again.
Seems like some earlier installation has kept some data in OIM DB. -
ORA-00001: unique constraint during "Configure Database Security Store for OIM Domain"
Hi Guru's,
I am following the below steps for OIM 11.1.2.1 with SOA 11.1.1.7 Installation and facing below error during step "Configure Database Security Store for OIM Domain".
Installed Database 11.2.0.3
Installed RCU (Here I used two versions.
RCU 11.1.2 - Used IDAM prefix for (Metadata Services, OPSS, OIM)
RCU 11.1.1.7 - Used SOA prefix for(Metadata Services,SOA Infrastructure, User Messaging service)
Installed JDK 7 (Java 1.7)
Installed WL 10.3.6 (MW_HOME-/u01/Middleware/fmw, WL_HOME=/u01/Middleware/fmw/wlserver_10.3)
Installed FMW 11.1.2.1 for OIM. (ORACLE_HOME=Oracle_IDM1)
Installed FMW 11.1.1.7 for SOA (ORACLE_HOME=Oracle_SOA1)
WL Domain creation. (Domain Name – idam_domain1)
Configure Database Security Store for OIM Domain.
Internal Exception: java.sql.SQLIntegrityConstraintViolationException: ORA-00001: unique constraint (IDAM_OPSS.IDX_JPS_RDN_PDN) violated
Also followed the below bug solution, but issue still occurs.
Bug 16690836 : CONFIGURE DATABASE SECURITY STORE (CONFIGURESECURITYSTORE.PY) SCRIPT IS FAILING
@ 1. Delete the Schemas using RCU.
@ 2. Recreate the OAM schemas.
@ 3. Reinstall the WLS and OAM software.
@ 4. Run config.sh to create a new domain.
@ 5. Run setDomainEnv.sh from user_projects/domains/<Domain_name>/bin
@ 6. Run the configureSecurityStore.py from same window.
Not sure if anyone tried with different steps that fixed the issue? Could you please help.
Thanks
VGHi Gurus, I got the solution from Oracle. SOA 11.1.1.7.0 shouldn't be used with Identity Management 11.1.2.1.0(11GR1-PS1) version. Identity Management 11.1.2.1.0(11GR1-PS1) is bundled with SOA 11.1.1.6.0. When used this SOA version, Installation went smooth. Thanks VG

It's posible the OID role Provisioning With OIM?
Hi experts,
I'm installing and configuring the OIM connector for OID. However I've found on the installation guide the next 'warnings':
- Reconciliation of roles is supported only for ODSEE and Novell eDirecotory target systems.
- Provisioning of roles is supported only for ODSEE and Novell eDirecotory target systems.
then my question is: how can I provision OID roles to any user using OIM??? If I can't do role provisioning to OID, I cant see so much utility for this connector.
My request its to provisioning roles that I've created on OID, using OIM interface.
Has anyone done this?
Thanks for you time.
regards.
Edited by: Daniel Cermeño on Sep 10, 2012 4:39 PMHi Leoncio and Gyanprakash,
Tanks for your response, thats make me feel more quiet.
I have still one question about this. In the installation and configuration guide says:
- If you are using the default connector configuration, for every group in the target system, create a corresponding organizational unit (with the same group name) in Oracle Identity Manager. This ensures that all groups from the target system are reconciled into their newly created organizational units, respectively.
- You can also configure the connector to reconcile the groups under one organization.
Then, when I run the reconciliation of OID groups in OIM. I obtain one organization with one resource representing my OID group. Or, if I prefer, I obtaion one organization with many resource that represents all my OID groups. However, I dont find how to provision this resources to my OIM users, cause I need that one user be part of one o more groups. If I put the user in the organization that represent my OID group, how I can provision more groups?
Furthermore, the reconciliations of OID groups creates resources/organizations, but in my understending this no create OIM roles isn't?
I'm sorry for my ignorance. This maybe is a trivial question, but I hope you can clarify this concepts to me.
Thanks for your time.
regards.

OIM 9101 with Weblogic 10.3.0 - basic query
Hi All
I am trying to install OIM 9101 with Weblogic 10.3.0 and Oracle DB 11.1.0.6 on Windows 2003 (64-bit) and Sun JDK 1.6.0_10 (Oracle certified configuration).
The problem is that my weblogic fails to start-up as soon as I enter the weblogic user-name on the command prompt. It says that the weblogic is not able to use some binary to pick-up the userID. This may be some issue related to Win 64bit environment.
To overcome this issue, I hard coded the userID and password for weblogic in Weblogic's SetDomainEnv.cmd file.
I want to know whether including the userID and password in the weblogic's file can result in OIM installation failure.
Please help.I personally don't think your OIM installation will fail because of that as OIM installation only execute some of the WLS configuration script to install OIM applications into WLS.
