OIM 9.1.0.2 Download??

Hi All,
Anyone know if 9.1.0.2 is available for download anywhere? Everywhere I look on Oracle's site I end up here:

which only has 9.1.0.1. I need the ...0.2 version as it's the only one with the Bulk Import Utility

First you need to install OIM 9101 with Weblogic 10.3.0 and Database 11g.
Then upgrade the system to OIM 9102 with Weblogic 10.3.1/10.3.2 and DB can remain the same. You just need to run some upgrade scripts for DB. Follow the upgrade guide with OIM 9102 patch and you will find the steps to upgrade everything mentioned here.

OIM 91 & Weblogic8.1 - Install Downloads

Im sure someone will argue this is not the appropriate place to post this concern...
OIM documentation mentions Weblogic 8.1 as a supported configuration. I downloaded Weblogic 8.1 a couple weeks ago from the BEA (domain) site. I now need an installation for a different OS and wanted to download it, but it appears as if the BEA download page has been taken offline within the last week. It now forwards to downloads hosted by Oracle and does NOT have Weblogic 8.1 (only 9.2 & 10g). My concern is that you can download OIM, yet you cannot download the Weblogic version that OIM supports. I assume it was taken down because they wanted to deprecate WLS8.1, but I think there was some oversight in not considering the effects to OIM. I totally understand Oracle's intent but I also feel that they should make supported Oracle IdM "stacks" available for download. I'm not contending that somebody hasn't installed it on WLS 9.2+, but Im going by the OIM installation & supported configuration docs.
Better yet, please prove me wrong and post a Oracle hosted link to download WLS8.1 SP6 linux package install.

Companies want to standardize on as few platforms as possible - especially for stacks provided by the same vendor. Although OIM (Xellerate) does not have a huge amount of resources (compared to most Oracle teams), it couldn't take more than a week to update installation scripts to support WLS 9.2 or 10 - especially since their professional services are doing that anyway. My hope is that they're focused on the anticipated Q1 09 release and that better support the latest app svr, jdk, and db revs. I worked with OIM 3 years ago and it was the exact same supported configurations then. I think WLS 8.1 is like 5-6 yrs old and jdk 1.4 is at least 5 yrs old.

OIM 11g R2-Issue while configuring oim domain in weblogic

Hi,
I'm trying to install OIM 11g R2 version and downloaded the entire suit from edelivery site.
Oracle DB version: Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
Others like Weblogic, RCU and IdM suite versions are 11g R2 downloaded from edelivery site
When i try to configure domain for OIM in weblogic, getting the below exception which is returning no rows

It's likely that you need to Install/update the OIM schema by using the RCU. Its looking for the condition of the (where version =11.1.2.0.0) though it's not finding that version

It will help you to make each adapter which you want but for this you'll have to create entity adapter.

Self Registration in OIM 11g

Hi,
Can some one guide me on how to add User defined fields to self Registration page.My requirement is : In self registration form(at the login page),I have to add some UDFs and delete some existing fields.
2.User should be created immediately - no approval process for user creation
3.User email address should be the userid/username. All the oim-username properties should apply to user email address.(No duplicate user email address).Please help.

Regarding Question 1, Chapter 8 ( managing profile) of OIM 11g user guide should help you here. In summary, You will need to use self service related authorization policies to add udfs to self profile page.

You will need to configure EmailIdPolicy as the username generation policy. OIM11g has OOTB validations to enforce email uniqueness.

In OIM you can configure jobs to run on a schedule-based time. So, for example, you can create a task to search and send an e-mail to all users who has password about to expire. You can configure this in OIM as a schedule task, then you have to provide the task parameters (if necessary) and set frequency etc.

OIM 9.1.0.2 / 11g Download

I just got back to my sandbox after a while and I have OIM Version: 9.1.0.1860.16 Build 1860.16 on my Win machine. I thought of doing a upgrade and searched for OIM 9.1.0.2 or the 11g Version. I couldn't find on the Oracle Download Section. Where can I download the OIM 9.1.0.2 version or the new 11g version? I couldnt figure out the version of the newer 11g.
Please guide me also if the upgrade requires just patches, please provide with the patch details.

Patch 8484010 will upgrade 9.1.0.1 to 9.1.0.2
Patch 8787068 will upgrade to 9.1.0.2 to the most current version.

Looking to download earlier versions of OIM connectors- SJSDS in particular

Hello,
I downloaded SJSDS_904120.zip from the following website.

I am installing this connector on OIM 9.1.0.2 environment. I am running into some issues with this version of the connector and wanted to try a previous version.
Does anyone have a link to the previous versions of OIM connectors (SJSDS in particular).

Hi,
I was able to deploy the default reports that are generated during installation.
Am adding an extra attribute to the existing reports and trying to display the value in the output report. I can see the template to display is defined in .rtf file.
But am unable to print the extra attribute value. How do I map this value in rtf file ?
example: by default in a report I have Fname, Lname and Userid. Am adding extra attribute EmailID. But am unable to generate the value of emaild id in the report.
How do I map it in rtf file ??

How to log a specific error in OIM

Greetings!
I am trying to implement a logging mechanism in OIM, using log4J.
So far, I can log without problem in an oracle database.
What I need, this moment, is the capability of logging adapters errors. For example, I am logging a pre-update event, producing something like this in my database log: "Login: xpto; ". So far, so good.
However, sometimes I got an error while trying to import a user to OIM. For example:
+[XELLERATE.SERVER],Class/Method: tcUSR/validateUserManager Error :The specified manager causes cycles.+
+[XELLERATE.SERVER],Class/Method: tcUSR/eventPreUpdate Error :User Manager is not valid.+

I would like to be able to log these informations, in my log:
- login
- status of operation
- error (if exists one)
Where I would have to put my logger to get this kind of information?
In advance, it is not enough just to redirect the log output to the database, because we want to be able to group all information about a user in one register only, for example: login: xpto; company: cia1; name: Xpto Smith; job: manager; status: ok or xpto; company: cia1; name: Xpto Smith; job: manager; status: Class/Method: tcUSR/validateUserManager Error :The specified manager causes cycles.

OIM comes with OOTB logging capabilities.

OS: oracle enterprise linux 5
JDK: sun jdk 1.6u10 64 bits linux

there are many exceptions in jboss server.log at installation time:

Yes. You need to install first OIM 9.1.0.1 and then install OIM 9.1.0.2 Patch.
Second question:
Patchset 8484010
I will also suggest you apply the latest patch of OIM 9.1.0.2 version available: Patchset 13527893, version BP19.
Be aware: Contact your Oracle Support team and check until when you have OIM 9.1.0.2 support.

I am trying to search for WebLogic 8.1 SP4 but its not available anywhere. All links are broken. Anyone has tried depolying on WebLogic 10.3.2 which is available for download?

probably not ! !
OIM 9.1 is supported for - BEA WebLogic Server 8.1 SP6 and later service packs. This has been mentioned in the release notes for 9.1 OIM.
Refer to section-'Certified Application Servers'. So if you want to go for OIM 9.0 the I beleive you will have to use an older verion of WL (probably 8.3). Anyway if you wat to install OIM 9.0 then why are you going for the WL latest release (feature wise also its bigger). Wl 10.3 is certified for OIM 9.1.0.2. And we may also go against the stream to install something uncertified, but you never know what hidden errors may come because of that and in such cases you cannot expect a solution as well.

Problem with EventHandler in OIM 11g

Hi All,
I followed the Part I(Chapters 6,7 & 30) in pdf file shown below

I developed the plugin and registered the plugin for custom eventhandler.
Iam not able to see the defined eventhandler in design console .
I am running weblogicImportMetadata.bat (import specific metadata files into the MDS database) as specified in pdf document after making necessary changes.
After restarting OIM server ,the server is not starting , and showing errors like " target invocation exception","null pointer exception" etc.
Have anyone done the EventHandler in OIM 11g , if anyone done please provide the followed document link.
Please suggest to solve the issue.

You won't find the eventhandler in the design console. This is by design.
I had a similar error. Hope this helps you.
Verify your EventHandlers.xml file. For me one of the entries, particularly stage="preprocess" had the letter 's' in uppercase (Stage="preprocess"). This was the source of my error below.

There is definitely a lack of clear documentation around developing plugins (e.g. oim.home in ant.properties should point to OIM home/server).
I worked with Oracle support and provided some feedback. They are going to publish a KB article soon. I now have a preprocess eventhandler that seems to work.
