OIM R2 pre-requisite tasks

Dear All,
I am following Oracle documentation on R2 upgrade: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/doc.1112/e28183/oim_up.htm#BABGBFHB
1. How to verify that oracle.soa.worklist.webapp is targeted to Oracle Identity Manager server in 11.1.1.5.0?
2. How to target oracle.soa.worklist.webapp to Oracle Identity Manager Managed Server if it is not?
3. How to verify that oracle.idm.uishell is in No Stage mode?
4. How to "address" all pending requests before you begin upgrading? What needs to be done?
I would appreciate your feedback.
Kind Regards
Maria Adair

Hi Maria,
I'm in the same step in my OIM upgrading.
Have you been able to find out these checks?
Thank you

  • Pre-requisite of Electronic BRS

    Hi,
My client's requirement is to use electronic bank statement. For this I need to configure the steps as mentioned in SPRO for electronic bank statement.
I went through the posts in SDN forum. But i want to know the pre-requisites (like interface required for Electronic BRS, Multicash format from banks, etc) required for Electronic BRS.
My client does not have any interface or Mullticash format. It just downloads statement from internet and does manual BRS.
Please let me know if EBRS possible in such scenario
    Edited by: Meenu_ND on May 5, 2011 9:58 AM

    Meenu-
Implementing Electronic Bank Statement is going to be quite a task:
    1. First thing would be to ask your bank in which format they can provide you the statement.  Lets say they provide you in BAI Format.
    2. Then you would have to get a list of BAI Codes that will be used by your bank in their statements.
    3. Get a list of bank accounts that you would be uploading electronically in SAP
    4. Based on your company GL Account structure, create all the clearing accounts that are needed (cash receipt, cash disbursement, check receipt, check disbursement, clearing accounts etc).
    5. Configure EBS in the system which includes creating BAI Codes, mapping accounts to bai codes, assigning your bank account numbers to company codes to BAI Structure.
Again, it all depends on what format you will be using. In US, we use BAI format and it is pretty straightforward task.
    Hope this helps.

  • What are the pre-requisites for learning OA Framework?

    Hi,
Im new to oaf,can any body help on this
What are the pre-requisites for learning OA Framework?
    Karthik

In order to develop any OAF Application you need to know few concepts before doing any kind of development. The concepts are basically the Business Components for Java(BC4J) components.
    They are:
    Application Module(AM)
    Entity Object(EO)
    View Object(VO)
    Association Object(AO)
    View Link(VL)
Now let us see the description of each component.
    Application Module:
Application Modules serve as a containers for related BC4J components. The pages are related by participating in the same task. It also defines the logical data model and business methods needed. They provide the transaction context and also used for establishing database connection. AM’s can be nested to provide more complex AM’s.
    Entity Object:
EO encapsulates the business logic and rules.EO’s are used for Inserting,Updating and Deleting data. This is used for validating across the applications. We can also link to other EO’s and create a Association object.
    View Object:
View object encapsulates the database query. It is used for selecting data. It provides iteration over a query result set.VO’s are primarily based on Eo’s. It can be used on multiple EO’s if the UI is for update. It provides a single point of contact for getting and setting entity object values. It can be linked together to form View Links.
    Association Object:
An association object is created where we link EO’s. For example take the search page where we link the same EO to form a association between the manager and employee. Every employee should have a manager associated. But if it President then no there is no manager associated. This is a perfect example to understand the AO.
    View Link:
A view link is an active link between view links. A view link can be created by providing the source and destination views and source and destination attributes. There are two modes of View link operation that can be performed. A document and Master/Detail operation.

  • Pre-requisites for Workflow

    Hi all,
I'm new to workflow...can anybody give information on all the pre requisites like settings to be maintained before we can start creating workflows.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Harshu,
Mainly it is the automatic workflow customization done in SWU3 transaction that is required to create workflows and for their successful execution. These settings are to be maintained by the basis team and involves the customization of workflow prefix, web domain, background job processing etc.
After these settings are done, you need to create workflows in t-code SWDD.
You can also use event trace to check BO event triggered (SWEL). Use SWELS to switch on/off the trace.
Also transaction PFTC would help you to create workflow tasks and templates.
You can refer to the study material on workflows in SDN wikis and blogs for further details.
Hope this gives you some direction.

    Saumya

  • 11g grid infrastructure pre requisite errors

    Hi All,
I am installing 11g grid infrastructure in a Solaris 10 SPARC 64 Bit
During the pre requisite check, the installer gave failure for umask
Error : PRVF-7612: User file creation mask check cannot be performed for user"oracle" on node
We have the umask set as 022 for oracle/
    Please advice.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rakesh

Has anybody found a solution for this ubiquituous 022 umask error?
Our DBA is going nuts thinking we have her oracle user environment hosed, but have ensured her 10 ways to Sunday that 'umask' returns 022.
I thought maybe the OUI was expecting a literal 0022, so I have modified the umask command to actually run a script which calls the real umask binary and prefixes a '0' to the output if no args are passed.
so ... umask would actually return "printf '0%s\n' umask.bin"
    Still getting the error:

  • What are the pre requisites for SAP SRM7.0  DB Rrefresh?

    Hi,
What are the pre requisites for SRM DB Rrefresh?
    Thanks

    Hello Peter,
When it comes to DB refresh you need to know what all the client dependent data which needs to be retained.
For example you need  RFC connections, Variants, User master etc.
As a pre task of Database refresh you may need to export the tables which are related to this so that once the database is refreshed you need to import them.
Ensure the proper backup of production database is available. Also check all the STMS configurations which need to be retained again.
Make sure that you need to have enough disk space which can accommodate your production data in to the pre production system.
These are some of the general consideration one needs to have but again it depends on the environment on which one runs SAP systems.
    Regards
    Vivek

You need to use the transaction UCCHECK.
    The report documentation is here
    ABAP Unicode Scan Tool UCCHECK
You can use transaction UCCHECK to examine a Unicode program set for syntax errors without having to set the program attribute "Unicode checks active" for every individual program. From the list of Unicode syntax errors, you can go directly to the affected programs and remove the errors. It is also possible to automatically create transport requests and set the Unicode program attribute for a program set.
Some application-specific checks, which draw your attention to program points that are not Unicode-compatible, are also integrated.
    Selection of Objects:
The program objects can be selected according to object name, object type, author (TADIR), package, and original system. For the Unicode syntax check, only object types for which an independent syntax check can be carried out are appropriate. The following object types are possibilities:
    PROG Report
    CLAS Class
    FUGR Function groups
FUGX Function group (with customer include, customer area)
FUGS Function group (with customer include, SAP area)
    LDBA Logical Database
    CNTX Context
    TYPE Type pool
    INTF Interface
Only Examine Programs with Non-Activated Unicode Flag
By default, the system only displays program objects that have not yet set the Unicode attribute. If you want to use UCCHECK to process program objects that have already set the attribute, you can deactivate this option.
    Only Objects with TADIR Entry
By default, the system only displays program objects with a TADIR entry. If you want to examine programs that don't have a TADIR entry, for example locally generated programs without a package, you can deactivate this option.
    Exclude Packages $*
By default, the system does not display program objects that are in a local, non-transportable package. If you want to examine programs that are in such a package, you can deactivate this option.
    Display Modified SAP Programs Also
By default, SAP programs are not checked in customer systems. If you also want to check SAP programs that were modified in a customer system (see transaction SE95), you can activate this option.
    Maximum Number of Programs:
To avoid timeouts or unexpectedly long waiting times, the maximum number of program objects is preset to 50. If you want to examine more objects, you must increase the maximum number or run a SAMT scan (general program set processing). The latter also has the advantage that the data is stored persistently. Proceed as follows:
    - Call transaction SAMT
    - Create task with program RSUNISCAN_FINAL, subroutine SAMT_SEARCH
For further information refer to documentation for transaction SAMT.
Displaying Points that Cannot Be Analyzed Statically
If you choose this option, you get an overview of the program points, where a static check for Unicode syntax errors is not possible. This can be the case if, for example, parameters or field symbols are not typed or you are accessing a field or structure with variable length/offset. At these points the system only tests at runtime whether the code is sufficient for the stricter Unicode tests. If possible, you should assign types to the variables used, otherwise you must check runtime behavior after the Unicode attribute has been set.
To be able to differentiate between your own and foreign code (for example when using standard includes or generated includes), there is a selection option for the includes to be displayed. By default, the system excludes the standard includes of the view maintenance LSVIM* from the display, because they cause a large number of messages that are not relevant for the Unicode conversion. It is recommended that you also exclude the generated function group-specific includes of the view maintenance (usually L<function group name>F00 and L<function group name>I00) from the display.
Similarly to the process in the extended syntax check, you can hide the warning using the pseudo comment ("#EC *).
    Applikation-Specific Checks
These checks indicate program points that represent a public interface but are not Unicode-compatible. Under Unicode, the corresponding interfaces change according to the referenced documentation and must be adapted appropriately.
    View Maintenance
Parts of the view maintenance generated in older releases are not Unicode-compatible. The relevant parts can be regenerated with a service report.
    UPLOAD/DOWNLOAD
The function modules UPLOAD, DOWNLOAD or WS_UPLOAD and WS_DOWNLOAD are obsolete and cannot run under Unicode. Refer to the documentation for these modules to find out which routines serve as replacements.

    Anji

  • Pre requisites for DBI family packG (7.3)

    Dear Hussein,
In the readme file of patch 5404886 (DBI Family pack G (7.3)). In section 5: STEP 4 it says
"Apply additional pre requisite patches for daily business intelligence for financials".
    Are the patches must.
    O/S AIX 5.3
    11.5.10.2
    9.2.0.8
If i apply any family pack, there is a long list of pre-requisite patches. How can we know if we need to apply them or not.
    Thank you

    Taher,
See the following from "Oracle® Applications Maintenance Utilities Release 11i (11.5.10.2)", Page 4-11 Compile flexfield data.
Compiles flexfield data structures in Oracle Application Object Library (FND) tables. Choose this task after you apply a patch that changes the setup of flexfields. Patches usually indicate when you should perform this step.
Flexfields automatically compile data when you use them for the first time, so running this task is not required. However, compiling flexfield data at a specific time (for example, when system use is low), rather than automatically at first use, can alleviate potential runtime performance issues.

  • Ckeck For File: Checking RSEINBQUEUE Pre-Requisites

More of a BASIS question really, but I'd like to know what options I have for checking certain pre-requisites before processing XI sourced files using program RSEINBQUEUE?
This background job is currently scheduled for 18:50 each night, but I really want to check either files at the Windows directory level or preferably the existence of the XI processing having taken place.
    Is this possible?
    Thanks, Robert.

  • Sharepoint 2013 - Error installing pre-requisite on Windows Server 2012 R2

I have been trying to get my Sharepoint 2013 installed on windows server 2012 R2. I was never able to get past the pre-requisite installer. It keeps failing at "Configuring Application Server Role, Web Server (IIS) Role" and was never able to get
    past that.
In the last 3 days i tried almost all of the suggestions posted in various forums but was never able to get it work. Any insight in to this error and resolution is greatly appreciated.
Tried all things explained here but didn't work
    KrisS

I voted for the SharePoint 2013 isn't supported yet link. I spent 4 hours resolving the issue. In my installation, there were many claims by the installer that the application server role is corrupt or unavailable. I dove deep into the installer files and
found 1 file that was not in the correct place. I am not going to mention it, because it is the reason the installer should fail.
Downloading and installing sharepoint 2013 sp1 was the answer. Why? Because Windows Server 2012 R2 was my operating system. Windows Server 2012 R2 was not a supported type of installation for SharePoint 2013 until SharePoint 2013 SP1 was released.
I hope this helps those whom have ben in dire need. Even though Paul was initially correct in his statement, the release of SharePoint 2013 sp1 opens doors.
@Microsoft, as a former PFE I think you could have done better.
