OIM - Same tasks being executed at the same time

Hi,
I'm using Lotus Notes and SAP User Management connector to provision users to these target systems.
Both Lotus Notes and SAP has a issue related to same tasks being executed at the same time. In other words, if we try to create two or more users in these systems, an error is thrown because a user is currently being created.
So, when I run a trusted reconciliation, I'm getting many errors related to this issue because OIM is trying to create more than one user at the same time in the same target system.
Does anyone knows if I can configure OIM to run the same provisioning process only when the previous process is already completed?
Best Regards.
Nitto.

Frankly, I haven't thought about using OVD yet. I just assume that OIM should be able to deal with 2 instances of the same kind of ITResource. Because this requirement is very common.
I did a little experience. For the second OID, I created manually a new set of ITResource, Resource Object, Process Form, Process, AttrName Lookup Code, Recon Rule. The apporach seems working. I can successfully provision the OIM user to the OID now.
But a problem is in the original OID User Process definition created by the OID connector installation, there are almost 20 Process tasks, how do I copy those tasks to my new Process definition? I just mannually created a "Create User" task, which is needed for provisioning.

  • "Process settings prevent this task being completed in the mobile client"?

    Hi,
I've created a process and configured it with a mobile endpoint however when it is opened in a mobile workspace I get the message "Process settings prevent this task being completed in the mobile client... Log in to workspace to complete the task.."
    What am I missing?

I've spend some time to investigate this issue and discovered something strange.
"Process settings prevent this task.." appears when "Must open the form to complete the task" option is checked in Assign Task step.
When process is invoked for the first time and this option is unchecked the process fields appear (I checked it on Ipad and Iphone mobile client).
Once any change is done on this process, the process fields disapear from the mobile client and there is no way to approve/decline task only from the workspace.
    Did anyone encountered this behaviour?

Thank you...I had selected the incorrect option to create an Apple ID....so backing up a few pages and doing as you stated worked!

  • Selection screen value not assigning to the value when executed for the first time

    Hi ,
Im My program at selection screen there are company code, vendor account and open items at key date(takes system date as default value).
Facing problem at open items at key date - Open key date parameter is taken from LDB - KDF.
First time when I am executing the program it is taking system date value in the selection screen variable even though I have given the different date.
This problem is only when I execute for first time or press enter without giving company code.
Can any one please help us to come out of this problem.

    HI,
you can use the Event as AT SELECTION-SCREEN

  • Watch TV shows on a TV as they are being broadcast for the first time.

Please explain to me how I can access regular TV channels to watch TV shows as they are broadcast. For example, we tried to watch "Poldark" on PBS, couldn't get it. I finally had to buy it from iTunes and it wasn't cheap. Does all TV have to be paid for these days? (we just got our first flat screen HD TV). And what about shows that are time sensitive, like the news or say ordinary shows channels like "Animal Planet" or HGTV. How do you access shows on these channels? We can't find the channel lineup that I've seen when watching TV with friends. How do you access that on Xfinity. I really wish had gone with AT&T - I need some user friendliness here.

Do you have a Comcast TV subscription and a Comcast supplied cable box or DVR connected to your TV?  That is what you use to watch live TV.  It would be no different with U-Verse.  You can also connect an antenna to the TV to pick up the local network stations if your close enough to a city with TV stations.
If your streaming and have a streaming box like a Apple TV or Roku, then the networks like PBS have some shows and series available on their app, but not live TV.

  • 11.1.2- Need to find out what reports are being executed by a user

    Hi,
We have financial reports executed from workspace. In essbase session , only the user id is displayed and the Request type- mdxreport is displayed. We also tried searching the log for Financial report didnt find anything relevant.
Is there a way to find out what reports are being executed by the user.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Saumya

STAT will give you the information for a limited period of time and is limited to the server which you are logged onto yourself. Beyond 24 hours it is of even less use even if you change the selection screen values.
If you want it for a period way back into the past, then you need to use ST03N.
There are at least 2 dependencies and 1 confusion:
1 dependency) The length of period is determined by the size (length) of the file. You can change this in ST03N (default 50MB) via the menu settings.
2 dependency) The stat collector jobs need to be scheduled to write the information to ST03N (once per hour is a legal requirement in some non-banana republic countries).
1 confusion) There is an obscure function which converts a report submit to a transaction name (there is not much difference anyway) and an even more obsure one which filters what ST03N will record and therefore whether you can read it. You can (un)filter these things away if you search the SAP Marketplace for the term "MONI".
What is of particular value from this control is that you can even detect a submission of an abap which only existed temporarily.
Also note that having this information is potentially very powerfull with respect to the users (some of them are human too), so you should expose and use it responsibly.
You should also ensure that only responsible users / auditors have access to S_TOOLS_EX.

  • Is it possible to execute a Bookmarked query the first time a page is rende

    Hi,
We are in the process of creating certain dashboards for our product using Endeca.
We have defined some metrics in the Metric Bar component, and want some useful information to be visible to the user the first time the user comes to this page.
As of now, these metrics look to be very generic in nature, but give useful information once the user starts searching. Some examples of these Metrics are - Supplier Count, Category count, etc. These won't make much sense to the end user without a context. Hence, we want this context to be present the very first time the user comes to this page.
The easiest solution seems to be creating a Bookmark, and being able to execute that the first time the page renders.
Is this possible to do? If yes, how?
Also, are there any other ways to achieve this result, other than using the Bookmark component?
    Thanks,
    Amit

The easiest solution seems to be creating a Bookmark, and being able to execute that the first time the page renders.
Is this possible to do? If yes, how?To achieve this option, first create the bookmark and then under action within the bookmark portel click on Create Link. Copy everything after the question mark. Next go to manage package and paste the copied text into the Query String text box.
Also, are there any other ways to achieve this result, other than using the Bookmark component?Option two would be to utilize deep linking method to access the page.
    Hope this helps.

  • Business Rules - how to stop when being executed in background?

    Hello,
I have a very simple BR that is supposed to copy data from one version to another, however the BR timeouted and now is being executed in the background.
The thing is that it is being executed for two hours now. I can see the BR in the Job window with 'Processing' status.
I've set two system options HBR_MAX_WAIT_FOR_RULE and HBR_MONITOR_DELAY to 600000, and restarted the application and essbase, however the BR's status in Job window is still 'processing'.
    Is there any way to:
    1. Stop the execution of the business rule?
    2. Verify what causes the BR to run for so long?
    3. Does dense/sparse settings have the impact on BRs' execution time?
    Kind regards
    Marcin Stawny

    Hi,
I take it we are talking classic planning.
You can terminate rules from within EAS, if you right click the analytic server and select edit sessions, you should see the rule running.
I am not sure why it says it still running maybe it has cached that it is running and still believes it is, have you restarted EAS?
Lots of different elements can be makinh a business rule run for a long time, the code/cube might need optimizing, it might be trying to copy a lot of data.....
Maybe worth posting more details on your database, number/name of dimensions, number of members, dense/sparse
    Also the business rule code.
    Cheers

  • SubQuerry Not being executed

    Hi Gentelmen;
I have posted this question in the Test and Playground Forum but no one has responded.
Any of you experts in this forum may be able to help me please...
I have this problem where I am selecting records to display on the report from table customer and trying to count how many booking are there for each customer in booking table based on the customer id from booking table.
here is my query code below...
select id name city custtype discount into (wa-scid, wa-scname, wa-sccity, wa-scctype, wa-scdisc) from customer
      where city = 'CityName' and
country = 'CountryName' and exists (
select count( distinct custid ) as wa-cnt from bookings group by custid ).
      WRITE: /1 wa-scid, 11 wa-scname, 40 wa-sccity, 70 wa-scctype, 78 wa-scdisc,'%', 90 wa-cnt.
      endselect.
I have tried to debug the issue and seems like the sub query is not being executed. The reason i say that because the value  of wa-cnt which is a counter of type i is not changing.
Any one can shed some light in this matter/problem please...
    Many Thanks.
    -hisheeraz

You are using AS addition in the subquery to determine whether the subquery is being executed or not, and I think this is wrong. AS addition has only meaning when your using wither INTO or APPENDING, it wouldn't change the value of wa-cnt.
I suggest you to try to change the subquery to
and exists ( select count( * ) from bookings ).
As you're using only the COUNT aggregation expression int the subquery, a GROUPING is not necessary.

  • Will hardware drivers work with the run-time engine or only a full version of Labview?

    Hello.
I'm trying to get a quatech I/O card to work. The instructions with the drivers we were given state "you must have labview installed before installing these drivers".
A program I wrote on my machine works fine with those drivers and does toggle outputs on the card, but when I build it into an executable on our test unit (doesn't have a full version of Labview, just the Run-Time engine) the card doesn't work.
We installed the run-time engine on the unit, then the drivers.
I guess my question is: Do most drivers work with both the full version of Labview and the run-time engine? Or do I need to somehow 'convert' these drivers to work with the run-time engine?

    anks for your help!

    Dave:
I can't determine which dll is required but if there are more than one that
shipped with the quatech I/O card try to placing one dll at a time in the
same directory as the exe so that you can determine which one is the
required one. If that doesn't do it then it may need more than jsut one of
the dlls so placing all that came with the quatech I/O card s/w driver
package in the same directory as the exe should do the trick.
    Best of luck.

  • THE 'FIRST TIME' MESS

    HI ALL,
I HAVE BEEN WRITING CODE FOR A TEST RMI 'GRAPHICSERVER'. THIS IS A KIND OF A SERVER THAT PROVIDES CLIENTS WITH A FRAME. ON WHICH IT DRAWS DIFFERENT SORT OF SHAPES ON CLIENT REQUEST e.g. CLIENT CAN REQUEST FOR A LINE OR AN OVAL etc. INITIALLY FOR THE TEST PURPOSES I HARD CODED THE CLIENT REQUESTS IN THE CODE FOR CLIENT SIDE APPLICATION. IT WAS SENDING A REQUEST FOR THE TWO STATED ABOVE i.e A LINE AND AN OVAL WITH PARAMETERS. WHEN I EXECUTE THE CLIENT SOFTWARE (AFTER SETTING UP THE SERVER), IT DISPLAYS NOTHING BUT JUST AN EMPTY FRAME. BUT IF I CLOSE THE CLIENT SOFTWARE AND EXECUTE IT AGAIN IT WORKS WELL AND SHOWS THE LINE AND OVAL. THE DEBUGGING SHOW THAT THE FUNCTION (ON SERVER SIDE) TO ENTERTAIN THE REQUEST FOR A LINE AND OVAL EXECUTES EVEN THE FIRST TIME CLIENT SENDS THE REQUEST, BUT IT DISPLAYS NOTHING(THOUGH ALL THE PARAMETERS AND VALUES ARE RIGHT THE VERY FIRST TIME). APPARENTLY (AS DEBUGGING SHOWS) SERVER EXECUTES THE SAME WAY THE SECOND TIME AS IT DOES THE VERY FIRST TIME. THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH THE CLIENT AS I HAVE CHECKED FOR THE PARAMETERS THAT SERVER RECIEVES EACH TIME. THERE IS NO PROBLEM WTH THEM. SECONDLY CLIENT IS EXECUTED A NEW EACH TIME. THEN WHAT CAN BE THE PROBLEM WITH THE SERVER. I'LL BE HOPEFULLY WAITING FOR, AND WILL BE REALLY GRATEFUL IF SOMEONE COMES UP WITH THE SOLUTION. IF ANYONE NEEDS, I CAN SEND THE CODE (it is no more than 10 KB). WAITING FOR YOUR KIND CONSIDERATION ....

    hi ,

  • How to find the Response time for a particular Transaction

    Hello Experts,
Am implementing a BAdI to achieve some customer enhancement for XD01 Transaction . I need to confirm to customer that after the implementation and before implementation what is the response time of the system
    Response time BEFORE BAdI Implementation
    Response time AFTER BAdI Implementation
    Where can i get this.
    Help me in this regard
    Best Regards
    SRiNi

    Hello,
Within STAD, enter the time range that the user was executing the transaction within as well as the user name. The time field indicates the time when the transaction would have ended. STAD adds some extra time on using your time interval. Depending on how long the transaction ran, you can set the length you want it to display. This means that if it is set to 10, STAD will display statistical records from transactions that ended within that 10 minute period.
The selection screen also gives you a few options for display mode.
    - Show all statistic records, sorted by star
This shows you all of the transaction steps, but they are not grouped in any way.
-Show all records, grouped by business transaction
This shows the transaction steps grouped by transaction ID (shown in the record as Trans. ID). The times are not cumulative. They are the times for each individual step.
    -Show Business Transaction Tots
This shows the transaction steps grouped by transaction ID. However, instead of just listing them you can drill from the top level down. The top level will show you the overall response time, and as you drill down, you can get to the overall response time.
Note that you also need to add the user into the selection criteria. Everything else you can leave alone in this case.
Once you have the records displayed, you can double click them to get a detailed record. This will show you the following:
    - Breakdown of response time (wait for work process, processing time, load time, generating time, roll time, DB time, enqueue time). This makes STAD a great place to start for performance analysis as you will then know whether you will need to look at SQL, processing, or any other component of response time first.
    - Stats on the data selected within the execution
    - Memory utilization of the transaction
    - RFCs executed (including the calling time and remote execution time - very useful with performance analysis of interfaces)
    - Much more.
As this chain of comments has previously indicated, you are best off using STAD if you want an accurate indication of response time. The ST12 (combines SE30 ABAP trace and ST05 SQL trace) trace times are less accurate that the values you get from ST12. I am not discounting the value of ST12 by any means. This is a very powerful tool to help you tune your transactions.
I hope this information is helpful!

  • Any way i can change the region code after the fifth time?

I wasn't aware about the region code being lock after the fifth time.
Is there any way I can change the region code instantly?

No, the drive is permanently locked to the last code you used. If it's not on the one you would prefer, the only thing you can do it replace the drive.
Almost all drives you can get are region free. I couldn't tell you why Apple continues to use drives that require selecting a region.
