User Manage page information restriction

Is there any Out of the box feature that can allow us to restrict what attributes a particular User group can see about a user on user's profile by going User > Manage.
For example Group A can see all attributes, whereas Group B cannot see user's birth date.

In 9X is not possible but in 11g its possible as OES is part of OIM 11g

User Management Setup: Registration Process not visible in Access request f

Hi,
We are trying to setup a autorisation flow for our responsibilities by using User Management.
For this I added some roles to the MISC Role category.
Then I created a registration process for these roles.
After that I would expect to see the acces request in the Additional acces request page. Unfortunately I don't.
When I run the view object behind the page, I notice that column umx_reg_services_vl.reg_funtion_id is empty for the roles I added. The seeded authorization that was allready present has a value for this column, and is presented in the screen.
I am wondering how to add a value into this reg_function_id column. I cannot seem to find the functionality in the User management pages.
We are on 12.1.2
Can someone help me out?

Hi,
You will need to have required permission (atleast read permission) for displaying this content. Access denied is showing at com.sap.portal.system/security/sap.com/NetWeaver.Portal/high_safety/com.sap.portal.heartbeats/components/PortalHeartbeat
Go to System Admin -> Permissions -> Portal permissions. Expand security zone folder -> sap.com and the subsequent folders in the above path (sap.com/NetWeaver.Portal/..) . Right click the last folder in that path as mentioned above and provide read permissions to the delegated content admin role.

Problem with user management

Hi,
hope someone helps me...
got an application with the Shema LBACSYS ...with this shema i got access with the user htmldb_public_user.
now i want to create a user (with the user management page from the sample application)
Creating the user works....i see the user in my database in my users table but i cant login with created username and password.
further i cant change the password of htmldb_public_user at the user management page ...dunno why ...
the standard login page ...where does it the data get from ? (username and password or user id) ..i cant find any table or any validation or process like this....

All users of your application will use a database session created by the APEX_PUBLIC_USER (or maybe HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER) database user. Then all code (SQL+PL/SQL) in your application gets parsed as the application's parsing schema, whatever you set that to be. If you have your users authenticate (login) you can create authorization schemes to control which users can do what in the application. Please read the doc and search this forum for "authorization". Customizing a User Management OAF Page - Approach

Hi,
I have a requirement to customize a User Management Registration Page for external user.
I need to add 4 new fields on the page. Perform certain validations on those fields and then derive and pass PartyId value to the already existing column in the Entity object.
Entity object does not write directly in table but uses a "RegistrationBean" to insert row in the table.
Could you please tell me whats the best approach to do the customization.

I am trying to customize "B2CRegistrationPG" under "oracle.apps.fnd.umx.userAdmin.webui".
I am using "Individual User Registration" process. User Management -> Registration Processes -> Select Self Service Account creation in "Type" field.
To see this page on application, you need to setup profile option: "UMX: Register Here Link - Default Registration Process" to "Individual User Registration" at server level.
Launch Oracle applications login page. "register here" link will appear on th ehome page after setting the profile option. This link opens this page.
With the standard functionality this process creates a fnd user and a person party.
I want to include customer number field on this page. My requirement is to create party relationship along with fnd user and person party as mentioned above.
Oracle has provided a business even that create evrything I wanted just that I should be able to pass the party id to it through the OAF Page.
B2CRegistrationPG already contains OrganizationId formvalue. This formvalue is attached to View Instance -"OrganizationsVO" and view attribute - "PartyId".
OrganizationsVO is made of OrganizationsEO which contains the code to call registrationBean to set the partyid " registrationbean.setOrganizationPartyId(getPartyId().toString());"
I am trying to extend the controller on the "person information" region and set the form value in controller, which I have not been successful with. It just does not set OrganizationId form value.
Any kind of inputs will be appreciated

Get Support at Logon Page for ABAP User Management.

Hi,
Just want know that is it possible to have Get Support feature at Portal Logon page when portal is configured as User Management of Application Server ABAP as Data Source.
Basically, the password reset functionality should work from Get Support link when Porta UME is User Management of Application Server ABAP as Data Source.
If Possbile, please let me know what configuration needs to be done..

Thanks but I've tried all that. It happens in Chrome also. I've tried Opera and it works on that. I've read other forums and it looks like a Java script issue that Chrome and now Firefox Mobile cannot seem to resolve. My preference is Firefox and I'm sure as more tablets get out then this will be solved at some point. I just don't know how it is prioritized. I do know that in order for Androids to be viable in the business sector they need to address issues like these with a higher priority.

Page customization for end user

is it possible to use other mechanism for end users to customize their own pages instead using the portal features since it's a little complicated cause each user needs to create new pages, add portlet, etc.
Can we use the mechanism like my cnn, my yahoo,excite and how to do that in a simple way?

I have the same question, but I would like to have a seperate page or application, showing only predetermined portlets, for users to choose from and place on their page. I do not want the end user to ever see the customization process Oracle uses. Can this be done???

Issue with User web page into Call Manager

Hello
I have an issue where all my users can log into their User page on UCM but when they make a change to speed dial or anything else, the change does not reflect on the phone in UCM. Doing a reset from their web page doesn't reset the phone. This is UCM 7.1.5 and the standard ccm end user group is enable for all end users.

• To check by using the CLI, enter the command that is shown in the following example: admin: show perf query class "Number of Replicates Created and State of Replication"

1—Replicates have been created, but their count is incorrect.
2—Replication is good.

I'm thinking it's more your Roles/permissions and not replication, but I included just in case. Hope this helps!

User Search Results Customization-OIM 11g R2

Hi,
I would like to add few field columns to the existing search results page and these columns are UDFs -how do I achieve this? -I tried by adding manage Users content under customize->view->source option by selecting the search result area but did not result in the same view as other OOTB columns exists.

How to let other users use my customization?

I have a few nice dynamic pages with bind variables.
I use the user PORTAL to customize my bind variables, but what I customize is not for other users, they see the result of the default bind variables.
Surely there is a way to set the customization from a designer for the whole comunity. My question is how to pull that off.

Hi,
You can set customizations at the system level by clicking on the edit defaults link of the portlet. This changes the default values of the portlet. In 309 or release 1 clicking on the edit page will show you the edit defaults link on the right hand corner of the portlet. In case of 902 or release 2 each portlet has a actions icon. Clicking on that will bring you a list of actions you can perform on a portlet. You will have "Edit Defaults" link here.

E-Business Suite User Management Connector

Hello. I ran the EBS UM connector v9.1.0, in OIM 11g2, and the OIM Event Management seems to show the recon operation pulled in the expected EBS account, along with the UMX Roles and Responsibilities. However when I search for the corresponding user in OIM, I now see the EBS account attached to his identity, but I do not see the Roles and Responsibilities (I looked under the Roles tab User Details page). Any idea why?

I did end seeing them them in the OIM user's Roles tab. Still do not understand why I didn't see them right after the recon job finished.

Not able to login to User management link in portal

After looking into the error first i dont think you are enter the right password.
In case if you are entering the right password then you might not have the necessary admin rights on portal.
