Hello SteveMRG,
What version of LabVIEW and NI DAQmx are you using? Does this error occur when the program is run from the development PC from the project? Can you create a debuggable executable and activate Highlight execution when the error occurs as to verify which state the program is in?

  • IAC operation failed error mac

I've been dealing with the accursed IAC operation failed error when saving edited photos - and apparently this is a common problem on Macs.  I'm wondering if anyone has taken the free update to Yosemite yet and if so does the error continue with that OS? (I currently have PSE 11 & Mavericks.)

Had Elements 12.0.  Upgraded to Yosemite.  Had IAC operation failed error repeatedly.  Tried upgrading to Elements 12.1 at Adobe recommendation. Upgrade failed repeatedly.  Bought Elements 13.0.  IAC operation failed error still here.
    1. frustrated this error remains
    2. peeved Adobe is never around when I need them, and they cast me to the "community".  Help from the community is remarkably good, but I just gave Adobe $80 and their product doesn't work right - they owe me support, and now.

Connection used Views, ODBC System DSN is setup properly.
Approach for import from business view manager and import wizard.  both methods failed to import the Business View and underlying reports.
I figure I may have imported the Business View wrong? From Business View Manager I exported from my dev server then imported to prod server.
Apparently I learned exporting my business view also includes the Data Connections that the Business Views are dependent upon.
So which ever folder you specify it copies it there. Originally the all Data Connections Resides on the root folder. To return it to the original location. I deleted what I had exported. Exported this time to the root folder, then only deleted the business views, foundation, elements. Then exported again to the folder where I intended then only deleted the Data Connection.
Makes any sense? So I then had to re point the business views and all the dependent objects to the data connection that resides in the root folder.
I tested the connection, it works fine. I properly updated my crystal reports to the business view in production. Did a sample extract it works as expected.
However when i try to publish, either from Crystal or Publish wizard i get the same error?
As a work around i am thinking, after updating the business view in the crystal reports, shall i re map the fields?? or reexport the business views again?
Any help will be surely appreciated.

    Hi,
When we try to migrate the crystal reports from BO R2 to BO R3, some of the reports are faling with the error:
Failed to create a new Report.Reason: Failed to read data from report file C:\DOCUME~1\xxxxx.rpt. Reason: Crystal Reports: Print Engine Error

    Thanks and Regards,

Few quick checks to identify the cause -
    1. Are you able to run report in your R2 system?
    2. In XI3.1, check SIA running on which account.
    3. Check the acount have sufficient rights on file system and registry.
    4. What's your web server?
Give proper rights and import again. Hopefully it will resolve.

Some Import Operations failed to perform. The following files could not be imported because they could not be read....(then all the files that I checked do not get imported

    As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

  • I get an error: reading or writing to disk, etc. when trying to export

    Hi out there,
I have been getting this error constantly: audition has encountered an error reading or writing, etc as mentioned above, recommends saving etc and restarting. It doesn't help.
I recorded some local gospel singers and am just mixing in some beats for them, etc.  I have had this error before.  any ideas on how to fix this?  i hate to lose so much work.
thanks, and asante sana, greetings from Tanzania

    ryclark,
well, just my hard drive, then tried an external, just a mac at home.  Thanks for the idea...
I have 200gb free... anyway, I just now tried and it worked no problem.  Maybe it was just a glitch that shutting down and restarting corrected.  Sometimes you get so deep in the work you forget that a glitch is sometimes just... a glitch.
    Thanks!

  • File importer detected an inconsistency in the file stucture of (file name). Reading and writing this file's metadata (XMP) has been disabled.

I have duplicated a project to work on another computer. The project opens fine but when I import new footage/audio files I get this message. "File importer detected an inconsistency in the file stucture of (file name). Reading and writing this file's metadata (XMP) has been disabled." Then I can't play my timeline and Premier Pro crashes.  I have to force quit and restart my computer to continue working. What does this error really mean? How do you rectify?
Our workflow requires that we duplicate projects to make updates because we are frequently revising but need to keep original project unchanged and intact.

I have a similar issue and message , but occurs when I import AVI clips from OnLocation CS4 to Premier Pro CS4.

  • "Package operation failed" error when trying to create ICAP file

Why is this happening? I create a new assignment and then select "Package for Incopy" and I get the error message "Package operation failed". What am I doing wrong?  For draft 1 of my Mac Indesign CS5 file I created a new "assignment 1" and ICAP file and emailed to my PC Incopy CS4 client. They sent IDAP file back and all was well. I need to send draft 2 to client the same way but why am I unable to create a new ICAP file? I can't even replace the ICAP file from draft 1. Please help. Thank you!  Lynn

Did you ever get it to work?
We are having the same problem.
    Indesign CS4 on Mac
    InCopy CS5 on PC
Though we also get an odd message when we reopen the InCopy doc, that there is another version created in 1999 which we might want to use.

  • 6750 Mural "Operation Failed" error opening large ...

Some friends of mine insist in sending multimedia messages with large picture attachments (in the 500kb range) to me.  When these messages get to my phone, I can't open them.  I select the message in the inbox and get a popup message saying "Operation failed".  This happens even after power cycles and phone resets.  The smaller the attachment, the better my chances of opening the message.  Under 200kb - never a problem.  Over 200kb - increasing chance of "Operation failed".
My workaround is to forward the message to my email address, which is not very convenient (sending the message is sloooooooowwwwwww, and then it takes forever to get to the destination ... I'm looking at you, AT&T!)
Anybody else see this problem?  And is there a better workaround?
fyi This is with a recent firmware rev (within the past week)

I believe the limit is 600K in size for your network, however some devices have a hardware limit of 300K. When messages are over the size limit they are just rejected
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

  • Outlook 2010: Getting a "the operation failed" error when accepting invite from inbox

One of the people I support is using Win 7 and Office 2010. When accepting an invite in his inbox, he gets "This Operation Failed", however this behaviour only occurs for internal staff who email him through Exchange. I emailed him from an external email
address and he was able to accept the invite and have it appear in his calendar correctly.
We are running Exchange 2007 and his client is Office 2010.
I'm going to try the following to try to get to the bottom of things
    1. Check account settings
    2. Disable antivirus
    3. Try non cached mode
    4. Check Delegate access?
    5. Check event logs
    6. Office updates / service packs
    7. Repair job of Office 2010
    8. Reinstall Office 2010 or install 2007
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Glad your issue has been resolved.

  • AE Error: Reading Past End of File

I am currently working on finishing up a project and was using After Effects to create an vintage film burn type effect over some interview footage. I imported that AE sequence into Premiere and have been working with those for several days.
However, as I was making my final few corrections today in Premiere, the AE sequence that I had imported was offline. I tried to relink it to no avail. I then attempted to open the AE file to see what the issue was. At which time, it presented the 'AE warning: Reading Past End of File' and then 'Unable to read project settings. Color settings reset to factory defaults.'
This is obviously a huge issue which will put me far behind schedule if I can't figure out the issue causing this. I literally had been working in these project files not minutes before all this happened, so I don't have the slightest clue what could have caused this. Any help will be immensely appreciated! Let me know if you need my specs and I will be happy to provide them. Thanks!

I am using 21" 2.7 gHz Intel i5 with 8 gigs of Ram. AND 6770 graphics card and all of my Adobe programs are up to date CC 2014.
I'm using dslr footage at 23.97 and 1080p. Not sure on the color settings, but I doubt I changed them from the default. Its in 8 bpc. I am not using any crazy effects by any means, just a few solid layers and minor color correction on some of the footage.
What could cause this type of error? Thanks!

  • IAC Operation Failed error

I have seen a few complaints about this problem but no solutions anywhere.  Has Adobe ever weighed in on the topic?  Does anyone know what's going on?  I have at least 3 photos that seem to be forever stuck in edit mode as a result of the problem.  It has happened with versions 10, 11 and 12 now.

Just tried to replicate this - it's a bit erratic.  I've found that editing a bunch of things at once, then saving and closing them all by clicking on the x in the corner (in Expert mode, in Editor), and accepting all the defaults (name, resolution, one other) by quickly hitting return as the dialogs are presented, is most likely to trigger this problem.  In this trial session, in which I closed 5 edited photos rapidly, Organizer appeared to be in the problem state, with the locked band present after the photos were closed in Editor, the edits not shown, and the wait cursor (spinning ball on Mac) lasting a long time.  But, in this trial, the condition eventually resolved, the edits were saved, the photos released and no IAC error posted.  In this trial, and as well as I can recollect from cases where the IAC error was thrown, no - the photos were not remaining open in Editor when the error was thrown.  It appears that there's something of a race condition in communication between the two apps (Organizer, Editor).
So, I did not replicate the problem this time.  And I've changed my behavior to 1) finish saving changes before attempting to close, 2) edit smaller batches (I'd been editing up to ~20), and I've seen the error a good deal less - but it is not entirely gone.  If I catch a good example, I'll post again.  But, this is what I can see so far.

  • Re:Assignment operation failes error

when i execute an Assignment individually depending on some criteria it is working for one record.............
But when i try to do the same for multiple records at a time it is throwing the above mentioned error.
Can anyone clear me this.........cant Assignment run on multiple records at a time.

    Hi Shifali,
You want to check, if for a given main table rec,a particular rec has account group field value as XXX then it should be replaced by Static.
Is this is the case then instead of validating the record, validate the rec field only.
    If(Account group.Code=XXX,STATIC,Account group.Code)
    Hope It Helped
