Ok did some troubleshooting still NO GO
OK iChat will not work video or audio on my new Intel iMac works text though. Eliminated my router/WAN by doing an audio chat w/my G5 iMac. Eliminated AIM by having my Bro log on to one of laptops via AIM and log on to his other laptop using my info worked so the problem is most certainly with my 24 intel iMac.
History: before using AIM I tried using Jabber downloaded Adium (as per Jabber instructions) signed on used that info (user name and password) in iChat no go, error came up password not correct. Tried Adium, it seemed to work. Adium said I need to install Growl so I did Jabber still no go, same error. Removed Adium, AIM and Growl as best as I can. Still iChat using AIM info no go w/video or audio, text works fine though. Skype video chat and audio chat works perfectly so my AV stuff is good. I even removed iChat and the prefs and re-installed it same???? What do I need to do???

i recently found my ibook and decided to see if it would still turn on. it did but i got this flashing question mark, i did some research into this and found out that the hard drive is the cause. so i opened it up replaced the hard drive and closed it up, booted from the disc and crossed my fingers but it did not pick up the hard drive. i thought it might not have been installed properly, so i opened it up to check the connections to make shure they were secure and closed it back up but now it wont even boot from the disc. so dose anyone know whats wrong with it because i really don't just want throw it away if its a simple fix. please if anyone know i would greatly appreciate it.

In the instance of iBook (white dualUSB) there appear to be two with number A-1007.
And both of these were 14-inch display models.

Either of these may be able to run a system no later than OS X Tiger 10.4.11.
So a system install disc set could be used to troubleshoot, install, restore &
prepare a replacement hard drive for a new system.
Not certain what the issues are behind your situation, there may be more than
meets the eye. Some models of iBook were more prone to hardware problems
and as they age, fewer opportunities to affordably repair them exist.

I don't really see any useful troubleshooting tips.
A1 doesn't power on, so the solutions are:
Press and hold power button
Reboot to recovery mode
Reboot and factory reset
If the device doesn't power on, how are any of these options even viable?
Same with K1, but at least that video says to contact support center.
I have the A1, K1, and Lynx. They've all had various issues, and I wouldn't classify any as being anywhere close to the top in their respective category.
My A1 has been surprisingly solid, but whatever special skin Lenovo has loaded refuses to play any videos that I've encoded - even though they play flawlessly on all my other Android devices (ranging from 1.6 up to 4.2).
My K1 was supplied by my company as a test unit. My CIO played with it for a couple of days before handing it over, describing it as a "brick," and a "steaming pile of poop." It's nearly impossible to keep charged and/or turn on. However, it does make a nice mirror sitting on my desk.
My Lynx had too many quirks and issues (charging, touchscreen not working, and screen bleeding) that I decided to return it since I was close to the end of the 14 day return policy.
Are the quality issues isolated to the tablets? I keep hearing about Lenovo quality, but that all seems to be isolated to the laptop division.
I like Lenovo designs and really want to support them, but their tablets don't seem to be much better than Archos (and unforunately that is a bad thing) - good designs and concepts, but poor quality and implementation. -
I created one apple I'd when I started using the iPad. After some days, I had to create a new apple id
as there was some problem with the first one. Now at some places still my old apple Id is appearing. Pls adv how I change this to my new apple Id.Anything you downloaded with the first Apple Id will forever be tied to it, and will always require it to update.
The question here is, why did you think you needed to create a new Apple ID? What was the problem with the first one?
To get rid of th old one, you'll need to delete everything you downloaded with it, and then sign out of the ID in several places around the iPad.
Go to Settings->iTunes & App Stores->Apple ID->Sign out.
Repeat the process, for Facetime, Messages, Mail and any other App you need to sign out of. -
Since the new iTunes update 11.3, right after that I couldn't connect my iPod nano 7th G to iTunes. It kept showing me that it couldn't find my ipod, that I had to reinstall iTunes. I did that and still. And now I can't connect my iPhone 5 to iTunes to sync my music. Can anyone please help me ?

Mini to RCA? Yes I did some searching... aud 2
Yes I did some searching and read some previous posts but I'm still a little confused.
I have an audigy 2 zs, and from what I read in the sticky and some other posts, I can use a mini-RCA cable to run sound to my surround system. But that sound will only come through in stereo, I am aware of this. But my confusion lies in this, every mini-RCA cable i've found, splits it into 2 RCA plugs. But there is only digital in plug in my speaker system. So is one of the RCA plugs not needed? Which one do I plug in? Will it still give me the left and right sound?
On this same audio note, I saw the Home Theater Connect DTS-60, and wondered how well it worked. My sound card has the analog surround capability, and I have a 5. surround system; will this item make it so that my surround sound system will work with my computer, through the single digital in jack on my surround system? From the description that's what I gather it was made for, but i'm not up on all the lingo the website is throwing around. Would this product also work with my PS2 in converting the optical to a coaxal so I could use surround sound with my ps2?i have a similar problem, i thought that the rca, two analogue to mini, would produce 5. surround sound on (my) receiver. I guess i was wrong. I have an optical digital in on the back of my speaker system but that no digital in's would produce surround sound, that only an RCA would work.Message Edited by MCH43L on 0-2-2006 0:37 PM

i tried updating my ipod, and then it turned off, and then just said connect to itunes, and when i did, it said i had to restore it. so, i restored it, and it did nothing and still said connect to itunes. help?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .

Then try restoring on another computer.

I 'think' my Ipod Touch is in recovery mode and people say to hold the power and home button for 10 sec and i did, but its still not turning back on. Plus its dead and wont charge. PLZ HELP ME!!!!
- If in recovery mode the screen will have an iTunes logo with an USB plug.
- Have you tried connecting it to your computer for a n hw and then see if it appears in iTunes. If it does restore the iPod.
- If screen is blank, try placing he iPod in recovery mode and then restoring. For recovery mode:

hello hi, i just won't to ask, if there has been any changes on how to find a stolen phone, did some one come up with a fare and good solution, new Apps. as it is not fare at all when some one could use it for free and there is a lot of things could be done to this condition, no one seem to care,
i have a story about my sister, am talking on her behalf, she got stolen her phone at a caffee when she just come from a horeble exam, she was very mad and having haedace for not doing well at the exam, i ask her if we could have coffee before we go home, once she sate; while i was getting the coffee for her, some one snicked to her pocket and took the phone, immidatly she feelt it and went on to searching, but nathing was hopefull. what makes it more heart braking is that she worked day and night just to buy the phone and pay for her books and so on as a student. she use to work 16 houres a day before she had to start school. 8 houres in one place and then to the other place. and she was always demanding for more houres to work; one day her boss saw her on her other job and she was serprised to see her and saied OHhh my God Milly if you work like this, i wonder if you servive, how could you also ask for more houres, My sis had to do it she has no parents or any thing, well the phone was taken after only two months of having it. the sad thing is she stile dream having it even though she can't think of buying againe. well me i have tryed a lot of things but i know some were out there there is a solution for people like this, it is not always fare for some one who has payed up to 800 to just loose his ......
ThnksI'm sorry, but your sister, unless she had already turned on the "Find my iPhone" feature and the person who took the phone has not disabled it, is out of luck. She should report the theft to local police authorities, including the serial number of her iPhone. While her experience is unfortunate, there are good reasons why Apple cannot do anything else about it.
I hope she gets her phone back.

Again without stating the trouble shooting steps you have taken, its hard to direct you with any information.
Try a different port on the computer.
Does the iphone beep when u plug it up. ?
Plug iphone into computer and give it 3 to 4 minutes to see if it connects and is running slow.,
Delete the apple mobile device from your computer.
Upgrade itunes to newest version.
Is you USB cord defective ?
Any USB 3.0 on your system ? .
Delete or Disable any antivirus program on your computer ?
I will tell u the problem is your computer not the phone.

<Edited by Host>You need to either bring your phone into an Apple Store (make an appointment at the "Genius Bar"), or phone Apple Support and have the ownership transferred to you. You will need to have the phone's serial number, and your Apple ID (just the ID, not password) handy if you call them.
If your sister purchased AppleCare with the phone, they should be able to transfer it to you as well, if there is any time left on it (there should be, since it's an iPhone 4.)
Also, you may need to have your sister go with you and provide the original receipt, or a copy of the invoice that should have been emailed to her email address that was tied to her Applie ID at the time of the original purchase, to prove that you're not just some person that "found" the phone on the side of the street.
The serial number will not change. It is permanently tied to the phone, and will never change. No amount of restoring the phone will change the serial number.

That is where it should be. I also keep a copy in the dock, taken from the applications folder.
