OK here's a challenge

You can see my system below...
Panther is getting cantankerous.
I am about to begin to capture 30 hours of tape for a project that will be about 45 minutes long.
I want to add a video card to use motion.
I HAVE TIGER in the box, and a trio of completely empty 250G HDs. (which I can exchange for larger drives)
What would you guyz do? Install Tiger and FCP 4.5, QT7?
Should I install Tiger, FCP on one drive and use the other for Capture? Use a third for Render?
I want this project to go smoothly and am willing to spend $ to get there.
Has anyone experienced SATA drive, externally with a new pci controller?
Give a solo independent some help. Please.
xxoo

I'll add that capturing 30 hours of stuff is, umm, silly. There's no reason to haul that mental load. Neither your craft nor art will suffer if you do some homework before going to disk. Even the most scattered producers use existing low tech to get started and to get their juices flowing. Dub your tapes to VHS with timecode burns and do a paper edit. Capture only what you need to get inspired and to begin your rough assembly. With your 50-to-1 shooting ratio, you should be able to get emotionally satisfying work done with less than four hours of material to start. You will grab a few hours of theoretically useful footage after you have established your film's direction and vision, which is just darned difficult if you're constantly culling 30 hours of stuff.
Another piece of unsolicited advice: Make FW-FW copies your tapes, label them carefully and store them at some other location.
And yet another: Use your iDisk and upload a copy of your FCP project folder two or four times a day.
And another: If you are collaborating with other editors or video artists, be sure to establish early and adhere to a set of file naming conventions. Understand your film's format decisions and make sure everyone's software can create the required movie properties.
And yet another: There are thousands of independent filmmakers using FCP to create and they all have seem to have blogs or Web sites. You do not need to invent anything in the craft--it's been done--all you need to do is know where to go looking.

    trying to video ichat (3.1.8 v445) with my wife. unsuccessful with error -8.
    we both have macbook laptops, and we both can video chat with NO problem to everyone we have tried except to each other. we can video chat with the same people, although not as a conference. so both of us appear to have perfectly good functioning ichat, except when we try each other.
    any ideas?? thanks, jeff

    Otherwise it is not an issue
    Yes Ralph,
    A codec (compressor/decompressor) is an algorithm or scheme that is used to record digital video or audio. For example, when you transmit video over the Internet, the video must be compressed on the sending end and decompressed on the receiving end. A codec can be chosen based upon the user's audio or image quality and image size preferences. When you read a QuickTime movie, a Video for Windows decompressor decompresses the QuickTime files. If the decompressor does not support the compression method used by the QuickTime movie, the OP has a problem.
    So if it won't fix the problem, it might be helpful anyway.
    A Challenge so to speak, cause when that happens you can't get video from camera.

  • Here's a challenge for you.

    whats wrong with my ipod- you name it. here's my issue. laptop was stolen.
    1) used itunes 7.0 which i wasn't too fond of. now i am using my roomates comp but she only has itunes 6. my ipod will not register on her comp. she is not interested in using 7.0 neither am i.
    2) also tried backing up files. the apple instructions were confusing for me and i also am not using 7.0. used ipodsoft. http://www.ipodsoft.com/site/pmwiki.php?n=podplayer.Homepage it extracted 600 songs of my 1400 song library. the remaining files do not work. they won't play in the softplayer and won't play on my itunes. they still show up but when i go to select a song it just skips to the next track
    how do i deinstall itunes 7.0 from my actual ipod?
    can i/how do i recover these lost songs?
    how do i get the rest of my library (the now corrupted files) on to my computer safely? i have heard ephod works well.
    as a last resort who would i take my ipod to to get it fixed i really don't want to lose my entire library.
    i really appreciate your suggestions and respect the time you put into helping others.
    thanks in advance
    ps
    i am using a pc

    It is the upper (or video) line that needs rendering. I cannot remember specifically how I captured, it has been a while, but I distinctly remember that 2/3 capture techniques didn't work (I was running an older version of FCP at the time) and all I would see was the spinning ball.
    So I played the tape while in the DVX and captured on the fly.
    Still, all the settings were properly configured and I have done it that way in the past. Maybe the easiest thing would be for me to recapture and try again. Please give me the new settings I should use and the correct way for capture to eliminate, or decrease, potential errors.

  • Here's a challenge: How do I delete an unneeded locked BootX file????

    Here's the background; Internal hard disk died. Have an external disk so set up the OS on that while I installed a new internal disk. That worked fine, installed the OS again on it & all is well. And no I didn't move it from the external, I started again.
    Here's the problem; Thought I'd clear off the OS from the external drive by dragging & dropping into the trash. That all worked except for a BootX file that's locked. It's in folders System/Library/CoreServices. After trying a couple of maneuvers have multiple copies of these folders & the file in my trash & a file on my desktop!!
    How do I get rid of this thing?!?!?

    Another possibility. Depress the Option key when you empty trash. Should override the locked file.
     Cheers, Tom

  • Here's a challenge please read and help.......

    I work for a company of a 1000 people and the owners bought everyone an ipod.
    the problem is that my boss wants me to record each persons serial number to their ipod and print it out for his records.
    i know that the serial number is on the back of the unit but that would take to long.
    I also know that when its plugged into the ipod updater program the serial number also shows.
    I would like to know if someone can build me a script that would grab the serial number to each ipod i plug in to the updater (maybe bash script, grab from string) copy it to the clip board and paste it to a text edit document. ohh and also a dialog box so i can write the persons name down. and if that can be added to the document as well.
    Sincerely
    an over worked employee.

    If you still have the boxes handy, check to see if the S/N is printed on with a barcode. If so you can just zap those all in with a reader and be done with it in minutes.
    Otherwise, to fish that string out of Updater first you must launch Apps/AppleScript/AppleScript Utility.app and check Enable GUI Scripting (enter an admin pass), then you can run this script…
    click here to open this script in your editor<pre style="font-family: 'Monaco', 'Courier New', Courier, monospace; overflow:auto; color: #222; background: #DDD; padding: 0.2em; font-size: 10px; width:400px">tell application "System Events" to tell process "iPod Updater" to set an_sn to the value of static text 6 of group 1 of window 1
    tell application "TextEdit"
    activate
    set a_name to the text returned of (display dialog "Enter a name for iPod " & an_sn default answer "")
    if the length of (get documents) is less than 1 then make new document
    tell (a reference to the front document's text) to set contents to contents & an_sn & tab & a_name & return
    end tell</pre>Edit

    Hi I have just discovered that  seatools dos does not recognize my HD. So I downloaded two more dos programs. WD and Hitachi dos. They do not recognize my HD either. I have been fighting this all week end, and I haven't found a answer to this problem; so I offer a challenge to all members and Geeks. What is the problem?? WD exe is the only App that thinks I'm alive. My PC is running flawless, but would like to check HD with a dos program. This is crazy or maybe I'm crazy. I have at least 6 coaters to give away. I may consider a reward for the solution I will try to suppy all the information that is asked for. I really hate being defeated, but I'm out of ideas on this one. Each of the programs ask me for a serial number, but won't except the one in screen shot. I will try all and every suggestion that is offered.
    Dokie!!
    PS I hace at least 8 CD's with bootable dos to give away.

    WD exe passed the extended test, but  the WD dos will not recognize the HD . That makes no sense to me at all. Three different dos programs and none of them recognize my Hitachi HD. I suppose I should be happy that my HD is healthy and I am but this is crazy.

  • Here's the challenge

    im doing encryption stuffs, so here's a basic thing which proves to be a real pain to me.
    question :
    i have a byte[] on a client... how to i use doGet and send it thru http to the servlet?
    which means... i need byte[] abc at client...
    and i need the same byte[] abc appearing at the servlet.
    anyone?
    thanks.
    ryan.
    he who answer this correctly get ddollars. :)

    he who answer this correctly get ddollars. :)Use the following class to convert your byte array into a safe hexadecimal string. This safe string can then be either submitted to the servlet using a form, or inserted directly into a url.
    /** Converts a byte array to and from a hexadecimal string. */
    public class HexConverter
         private static String[] _values =

  • STP Power Users: Here's a challenge: Find the picture in the Spectrum View

    Ha ha - find "Track 2" by the artist Aphex Twin and do a Spectrum View on the end of the song...Warning: not for the faint of heart!
    Sorry if this is old news for you folks out there - I'd only heard about it recently and was so amazed I have to post it here
    Any other pictures in the music that you people know of? Post 'em here
    Cheers,
    Ken

    Take that MP4 and put it into your 'videos' folder....In your 'my documents' there are My photos, my videos, etc. Put the MP4 into the videos folder.
    then open iTunes.
    I believe it's 'file' 'import' and navigate to that video folder. Choose your TV show and let iTUnes do its thing
    Then connect your iPad to your computer. Once you see the name of your ipad in the left menu area (might need to hit control S to make the side bar visible) you'll see tabs above the window and one of those will be the video tab. Click on that. I can't recall if you have to choose to sync selected videos or not (I'm at work and don't have it in front of me), but you should see the contents of that videos folder and from there you can choose your TV show by checking a box. Once it's chosen, sync to confirm that you want that on your iPad. Let iTunes do its thing and the video should sync onto your ipad.

  • Here is a challenge to GUI guru

    Anyone Labview guru here has a nice audio or multimedia GUI (Graphical User Interface) front panel done in Labview? It should be done with customized control/indicator buttons. Something similar to Winamp or Windowmedia player skins is extremely nice and appreciated but half way there is also nice enough. I don't have enough time to get it done from scratch for a bench application.
    Thanks a lot in advance!

  • Here's a challenge!

    Anybody tell me why,
    int i=1;
    i=i++;
    System.out.println(i);
    prints, 1
    and,
    int i=1;
    a=i++;
    System.out.println(a);
    prints, 2 ?

    I posted this before like a day ago. It's interesting though. Java is stack based... in case you didn't know.
    Take a look at the bytecode for how it's done
    int i = 0;
    i = i++;
    0 iconst_0 // load 0 on stack
    1 istore_1 // store top of stack in local #1, i
    2 iload_1 // load local #1 on stack, i
    3 iinc 1 1 // increment local #1 by 1 (0 is still on stack)
    6 istore_1 // store top of stack in local #1, i (overwrites the increment back to 0)
    int i = 0;
    i = ++i;
    0 iconst_0 // load 0 on stack
    1 istore_1 // store top of stack in local #1, i
    2 iinc 1 1 // increment local #1 by 1 (nothing on stack)
    5 iload_1 // load local #1 on stack, i (which got inc. to 1)
    6 istore_1 // store top of stack in local #1, i (since 1 was on stack, i ends up to be 1)

  • A challenge to Adobe: Allow me to use inline styles in DW by default or I dump DW

    Years ago I switched from FP to DW because FP started forcing people to use CSS over HTML. That was FP 2000. I switched to DW because it respected my code... Now that CSS is mainstream and we are all in love with it, DW CS4 decides to throw a bone and tell me to fetch -- forces me to use CSS rules. I am fine with Adobe hurting my intelligence but at the very least I need the ability to convert CSS rules to inline styles. I do a lot of HTML emails for clients and as I am sure you know, Adobe, most [web] email clients ignore external CSS and <style> tag. Or let me put it this way: I simply want to choose between inline style and rules based on type of project. No questions or comments please.
    So Adobe, you can remove this post right away if you like, but here is the challenge for you: If in a month you do not update DW SC4 to allow me to choose whether I want to use CSS rules at all + if you do not provide the ability to convert all CSS rules in a page to all inline I dump DW altogether. How's that? Also please check your records and see that I recently purchased your CS4 Master Collection. I am a serious CS4 user and this is a serious challenge.
    With DW CS4 you abandoned DW's character of being a TOOL that lets users decide how to code. Redemption period of 1 months starts.... NOW. Tic toc, tic, toc.

    Hey anygiven. Appreciate your observations. I also feel that Adobe has lost its way as far as the Web is concerned.
    Here's another example from the Dreamweaver Help files. In the second video down on the Dreamweaver CS4 launch screen, called "Live View" (which isn't, BTW), the Adobe talking heads spend a lot of time on how to use a Yahoo calendar widget to create a calender of coming attractions. They make it sound cool and contempo and "next generation."
    As a longtime webmaster with a small client who owns a bar & grill on the Oregon coast, I react to this Adobe video in two ways. First, if my client's competition is using Dreamweaver and following Adobe's directives, I'm absolutely thrilled. Couldn't be happier. Here's why. In the Real World, it's crucial to get search engine traffic to the calendars. But if you do what Abobe suggests in their "Live View" (Not) video, you will get just about zero search engine traffic to your calendar because the search engines can't fully index pages whose content changes in response to user actions! Boiled down, if you do it Adobe's way you'll spend a lot of time and energy to get significantly less functionality in your coming attractions calendar, and thereby deliver less value to your client.
    So in a way, Adobe's Real World Web cluelessness actually helps me by making Adobe-led webmasters less effective and easier to beat. The problem here -- for me and everyone else -- is that is that Adobe and Dreamweaver have no competition any more. I'd be delighted to stand on the shore and watch the grief on the good ship Adobe from the distance, but I can't do that because in the so-called "free market economy" I don't have that fundamental freedom of choice any more.
    I've also begun to wonder about my freedom to express my views here. Last month, I posted a comment noting the basic problem with the Dreamweaver CS4 calendar widget video in the comments section at the bottom of http://tv.adobe.com/watch/inside-the-dreamlabs/dreamweaver-cs4-live-preview/, and it was deleted by Adobe. As of February 22, 2010, the last comment on the page now reads: "Excellent video." That'll take care of the issue! I paid $800 for CS4 (on top of a shelf load of Adobe products going all the way back to 1992) and I logged in, but I don't get to offer an honest (and helpful) comment if it doesn't support the current Adobe dogma?
    I hope that's not the case. I hope there's just some sort of honest misunderstanding here. I also hope that Adobe can appreciate that this is not just empty complaining. I'm not sitting here moving my mouth because it feels good. I'm taking the time out of a very busy morning to offer these comments because as an independent Web developer I believe it's imperative for Adobe to rethink where it's taking Dreamweaver.
    Among the issues crying out for Adobe's reconsideration:
    * Cascading Style Sheets. CSS is a hideously bad implementation of a decent-enough idea. Because of its inherent design flaws, CSS will never be adopted widely UNLESS people don't have a choice. Adobe should stop making Dreamweaver an agent of Web totalitarianism by removing the webmaster's choices as to how he/she constructs their pages. Just say "no" to the Code Nazis.
    * Feature Loss. Adobe needs to start adding features and functionality to Dreamweaver, instead of taking features out as is the case with Dreamweaver CS4. Like the man said, Job One should be to bring Dreamweaver up to the same functionality that FrontPage had 15 years ago in 1995, including all the Web Bot functions. (I realize that it might take a couple of versions to get Dreamweaver up to full FrontPage functionality, but high on my list for the first version upgrade would be a robust threaded discussion group component AND the ability to include blog-like comments at the bottom of the pages.)
    Like to see some positive response here from Adobe to these issues that have been raised by longtime, professional customers...

  • AEBS "Ghost" Router Issue - The Challenge for 2012 (and it's only January)

    Yes, it's a bold statement to claim that I have the biggest issue so far for 2012. Why may you ask? Because I've stumped RCN (ISP), Access Media 3 (ISP), Apple Tech Support, and Cisco Tech Support. Here's the challenge for you to see if you can figure it out:
    ***Also, sorry for the long-winded post. I've spend over 20 hours on this issue and racked up a lot of info to share with you. So please bear with me***
    I used to own a Linksys E4200 router (early 2011), which I set up using the wireless network name (for example) "wifi-box". Due to performance issues, I returned the router back to Linksys in April 2011. Shortly thereafter, I purchased a used AESB. I performed a factory reset (not a hard reset, as I know the difference between the two) before setting up my network. Things worked great from April to Dec. 2011.
    On Jan. 1st, 2012, the building that I live in switched ISPs. I used to have RCN, and now have Access Media 3 (AM3). Both provide the same type of connection - cable - and both provided me with a modem (not sure the model of the one that RCN provided to me, but AM3 gave me a Surfboard 5101N...shudder). Once the transition from RCN to AM3 took place, I performed another factory reset on the AESB before setting up my my network from scratch.
    Now, here's where things get start to get weird. I "Created a wireless network" on my AESB, entered in the name "wifi-box" (to keep it the same as before) as the wireless network name, and followed the rest of the steps until I updated the router. Shortly after the AESB restarted, I received a "Dual (or double) NAT" error right off the bat. Looking into the issue futher, there were now 2 wireless network names called "wifi-box"?!? Huh?!? The actual name isn't "wifi-box", but was something quite unique. So it was easy to tell that it was (once) my wireless name.
    The next 5 hours were a blur of reconfiguing, resetting, unplugging, etc. anything that is connected to my network. Nothing worked. During all of this, I also switched the name of the AESB to (for example) "apple-wifi".
    As a last resort, I unplugged everything - the Surfboard, the AESB, wiped all Airport Util profiles off my 2 Macs, wiped my profile off my 1 PC, shut them down, did the same for my iPhone 3G, shut off the power strip that the modem and AESB were connected to, and unscrewed the coax cable from the wall. I had a friend come over with his laptop, which he never brought over before, and had him search for a wifi signal. As you would guess, "apple-wifi" didn't appear...BUT "WIFI-BOX" WAS AVAILABLE TO CONNECT TO!!! Arrrgggg!!
    At this point it seems that the profile is somewhere outside of my condo. But where???
    Moving along, I used a tool called WiFi Stumbler to see if that could help shed some light on my issue. What I found was unheard of. The wirless name "wifi-box" was linked to a Linksys router.  Once I discovered this, I logged into my Linksys profile (192.168.1.1) to see if it still worked. IT DID!!! However, that was short lived, because as soon as I clicked on a tab, I was booted out. On top of that, I couldn't log back in. Not sure if this is because it was looking for the Linksys router or not. Whatever the reason...it's just flat out weird.
    Because the password to log into my old Linksys profile was the same, it somewhat leads me to believe that someone doesn't have the same wireless name that I do.
    Over the past two days, I talked to RCN, Linksys, Apple Tech, AM3, had an AM3 tech out to look at it...no one knew what the issue was. When I talked to Apple, and they thought it might be the Surfboard. The tech said that the Surfboard is also a router, which is why the "dual NAT" error is taking place. However, I then spoke to AM3 and they told me the Surfboard was only a modem. I looked it up online, and it's just modem. Also, I was able to get rid of the "dual NAT" error, but yet I still cannot connect.
    My current error msg is: "Airport has the self-assigned IP address 169.XXX.XXX.XXX and will not be able to connect to the Internet". The AirPort indicator light in my Network Preferences is orange, but the AESB indicator light is green (and is reporting no issues).
    To end this, (if you're still reading), any help that you may have is greatly appreciated. Everyone I spoke to is stumped. I'm not sure where to go next from here. If you know anything, please let my know . As a quick recap, here are my current settings:
    Devices:
         1) MacBook Pro (2011), OSX Lion;
         2) MacBook (2009), OSX Snow Leopard;
         3) IBM Lenovo PC, Win XP SP2
         4) iPhone 3G (iOS 4.2)
    Modem:
         Former modem: unknown
         Current router: Surfboard SB5101N
    Router:
         Former router: Linksys E4200 (wireless network name "wifi-box")
         Current router: AESB - Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station - Simultaneous Dual-Band MC340LL/A (wireless network name "apple-wifi")
         # of Router in my condo: 1
    ISP:
         Former ISP: RCN
         Current ISP: Access Media 3
    Thanks and good luck (to you and me)

    Thanks Tessarax,
    Thanks for the reply, and no worries about the long form answer. Yesterday, I went through your process twice (for good measure). I also unplugged/shut down everything overnight and tried it once again today. Unfortunately, the results are the same.
    Me network is currently up and running, albeit a limited connection. It's still producing the "Double NAT" error. My Internet is set up as follows:
    These are the settings for "apple-wifi" in the AirPort Util.:
    Connect Using: Ethernet
    Ethernet WAN: Automatic
    Connection Sharing: Share a public IP address. ("Bridge Mode" and Distribute a range of IP addresses" cause additional errors which brings down the network. These errors include setting a DHCP beginning/ending address and no Internet connection. I tried setting the DHCP beginning/ending address several times, but the AEBS never accepts my entries.)
    IP: 10.XXX.XXX.XXX
    DHCP: Beginning/Ending Address: 172.XXX.XXX.XXX
    DNS: 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4
    These are the settings for "wifi-box" in the Network Preferences:
    IP: 192.XXX.XXX.XXX
    DNS Servers: 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4
    Search Domains: 221am3.com
    802.1X: No profiles (I deleted them)
    Bypass proxy settings for these Hosts & Domains: *.local, 169.XXX/XX
    Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV): checked
    MAC Address: same as "apple-wifi"
    These are the settings for "apple-wifi" in the Network Preferences:
    IP: 172.XXX.XXX.XXX
    DNS Servers: 172.XXX.XXX.XXX
    Search Domains: 221am3.com
    802.1X: No profiles (no profiles were avaible for "apple-wifi")
    Bypass proxy settings for these Hosts & Domains: *.local, 169.XXX/XX
    Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV): checked
    MAC Address: same as "wifi-box"
    Two new discoveries that I uncovered yesterday are as follows:
    1. 802.1X (under Network Preferences): There were 3 profiles that I deleted from this tab last week. After resetting the network, they came back. Whether they were present or deleted, it didn't affect the connectivity of my network. Just mentioning that these profiles came back after deletion (I deleted them again).
    2. Yesterday, the network in my building went down for a few hours. I noticed that neither "wifi-box" nor "apple-wifi" were available to connect to. This is an obvious insight, but it seems that when "wifi-box" is unavailable, "apple-wifi" is unavailable as well. However, 'wifi-box' has always been available even when "apple-wifi" is down. Sounds like my Internet signal follows this path:
    AM3 > Condo building > "wifi-box" > my condo > Surfboard modem > AEBS "apple-wifi" > my devices (laptops, iPhone, Xbox, etc.)
    Two new questions:
    1. What is DHCP Client ID and is this something that I need to provide?
    2. Could the cables that I'm using cause any problems? Here's the cable that I'm using and the connections between the devices:
    CAT5: Router > AEBS
    CAT5e: AEBS > MacBook Pro
    CAT6: AEBS > Xbox
    If there's other questions or infer that you need, please ask

  • Java challenge !! Very hard !! Find mines

    Hi !!! I'm new in here !! So, here is the challenge. My teacher passed to the class a challenge that you need to create a game that a robot finds mines in an unknow field. But rules must be follwed. Here's the rules:
    1 - The java game must read a .txt file (example.txt) with the informations about the field and the robot must find all mines. But he don't need come back to the origin. He starts to looking in columm 1, line 1.
    2 - The matrix (filed) shows 3 separate values:
    0 - free position
    1- barrier
    * - mine
    3 - The objetive is to find all mines with less cost (steps). Every time that the robot passes through a 0 position, he pays with one point of penalty, and every time that the robot finds a mine, he wins 10 points.
    4 - Every .txt file which is read, at the end, needs generate a new .txt file with the number of steps that the robot did and the total of points. Wins who find all mines with less steps.
    example.txt
    5 > size of matrix, alaways square (5x5, 3x3, 2x2)
    3 > total of mines
    0 0 1 0 0 \
    1 0 1 * 1 \
    * 0 0 0 0 > matrix with informations.
    0 1 0 1 * /
    1 0 0 1 0 /
    Good luck.
    PS: The best search algorithm will win.
    My group was the only of the class that made this challenge, I would compare to other ideas.
    Thx for all java fans !!

Please, try not to judge before the facts. thxIn case I (and others) have misjudged you, let me explain why people are being so mean. There are a number of posts where people try to get the forum member to do their work for them. Your post looks very much like one of them.
    I offered the previous statement because you have not gone crazy and started posting complete nonsense, and it is at least possible that your story is true.

  • Challenging question...

    Here's a challenge for a real programmer.... Tell me what the point of the following code is. "init()" just does some init stuff in the class, it has nothing to do with anything except that the method should return null if init fails. That is obvious. The real question is what's with the piped streams? I see no reason the streams should not work since it's all within this method. And I see no benefit to putting the object thru the stream in the first place. The nearest analogy I can think of is if I'm sitting at my desk and want to put a paper I'm holding on the desk, instead of just putting it on the desk, I crawl under the desk to put the paper on the desk from the other side. Sure it gets the job done, but it's a waste of time and effort (or CPU cycles)...
        MyObject obj = (MyObject)buildObject(session.getAttribute("myObject"));
        public static Object buildObject(Object p_object) {
            if(! init()) {
                return(null);
            PipedOutputStream pos = null;
            PipedInputStream pis= null;
            ObjectOutputStream oos = null;
            ObjectInputStream ois = null;
            Object object = null;
            try {
                pos = new PipedOutputStream();
                pis= new PipedInputStream();
                pis.connect(pos);
                oos = new ObjectOutputStream(pos);
                oos.writeObject(p_object);
                ois = new ObjectInputStream(pis);
                object = ois.readObject();
