OK, I give up. I can't take this poorly written software anymore

After 3 nights, I have accomplished absolutely NOTHING with the iMovie/iDVD combination, which is a real shame, because one of the main reasons that I switched to MAC was for the graphic capabilities. All I get are spinning pinwheels, completely disappearing programs, and basically crap and wasted time. This last time, iDVD spit the disk out of the drive, even though the iDVD insisted that it was still burning the DVD, and was actually counting down the minutes while it was burning to "nothing". I was out of time to create a vacation disk that I promised to a large group, so I reverted back to my old copy of Adobe Premiere and ran the whole thing under my Windows partition on the Mac Pro. It worked the first time. Apple may make some great hardware, but the whole iLife suite of software is just crap. I should have read the reviews before I began even trying. As a long time Windows user, I was under the impression, based on all the hype, that switching to MAC OS was the cure for all ills. But I can verify that Snow Leopard has just as many headaches as Windows XP. I'm quite disappointed.

Thanks King_Penguin, I'm probably wrong, but I thought I had managed to shift videos previously downloaded using the converter App, from within the iPad.
It's quite a long time since I did it last, so It's probably wishfull thinking!
I can't understand why I seem to be the only person who finds it odd that video is forced into "Picture Gallery", when there is a perfectly tailored resting place for it in "Videos"!

Your email provider has blocked the standard mail port 25 for sending emails and is requiring a different port. This is to avoid mail relays that use mail clients to send spam. You need to find the port that is used by your provider for sending outgoing mail. Then change the settings in your email account on your phone to match the port. You will also have to provide some security credentials for the account.
You can also try deleting the email account from your iphone, and the adding the email account back as this will many times set the correct port for sending emails.
You could also do a Google search on the the settings for your device with your email provider. That will provide you with the proper settings.

That happened to my brother earlier. He went into Facebooand then into another app and the same thing happened. he ended up having to restore it. Mine stayed with the Apple logo for a bit but its back to normal after pressing the buttons a million times. I hope you get your problem sorted. Goodluck!

How do I just remove the current update to 3.6.12 and go back to an earlier version as I can not take the continual freeze ups ever few mins.? If this continues I will remove Firefox totally and switch to another browser I can not take this anymore.

I can NOT take the continual freeze ups of my entire browser even worse when updating a page let alone just opening email. I closed the browser and have had to use even just microsoft or Google since this Firefox has gotten so horrible...
I clear my history and my cache so many times a day I can not keep track anymore and that is insane to have to do it as many times as I am even worse that it does not help in the least!
I have used Firefox for years now but if I have to remove it and switch to a different one by the days end I will and I will post in Facebook to all my friends who I had switch to Firefox what and why though some have already just switched to other browsers.

First, that cannot be an iBook G4 as that machine cannot run Snow Leopard let alone Mountain Lion. To run Snow Leopard it has to be an Intel processor, not a G4. What does it show as the Model Identifier in About This Mac, More Info, System Report, Hardware, Model Identifier?
Second, if you have erased the hard drive there should not be remnants of any prior content. Even though Disk Warrior is saying nothing is wrong with the hard drive, it sounds as though there are problems. You may want to consider simply replacing the hard drive so there are no questions about faults. A good source is OWC, http://www.macsales.com where they also have on-line videos showing how to do the replacement.
Third, you could also try again to restart using the Snow Leopard DVD/CD and use Disk Utility on that install disk to erase again, and do it a couple times, then try to install. If it continues to refuse, then it sounds as though there is a fault with the hard drive.

When I run on 29.02.2008, the system generated 2 posting documents:
100000 for recurring entry 1000 in 2007
100001 for recurring entry 1000 in 2008
I go to BKPF, select with DBBLG = '1000', it get 2 docs (100000 & 100001).
I want to select just 100001, with recurring entry 1000 in 2008, what condition I have to select more ?

If the app did not specifically indicate that it was available from the iTunes & App Stores then, as Diavonex indicated, you cannot download it.
The App Store has 2 free Heartmath apps for the iPad - Inner Balance, and HeartQuotes HD. You can click on your App Store icon and find them under Heartmath in the Categories search bar.

How Can I take this image and put it in another image? Basically Background but different

So, I got photoshop today for a project I have to do and have never used it in my life. I am making a childrens book for school and I am trying to pug the corner pug in this photo onto the couch of the next photo. I am going to use the various expressions of the pug in different settings but I want just the pug I choose to be there withouth the other ones or the white background. Im aware that its watermarked, Im just going to ignore that unless someone has specific instructions on how I can get that off aswell. How do I do this? Please be specific, thanks!

Open the picture of the pugs. On the Toolbar click the icon for the Lasso tools. In my PSE version this is row 2, column 1 of the Toobar; it might be in a different location in your version. On the tools option bar you will see icons for the different types of lassos. Select the Magnetic Lasso. Click on the pug you want and slowly trace his outline. At the end click again to complete the selection. The pug will be outlined in "marching ants".
Copy this selection to the clipboard: Edit > Copy.
Now open the picture of the sofa. Paste the pug from the clipboard: Edit > Paste. The pug will be placed on a new layer in the Layers Palette.
You will probably want to resize him. To do that, activate the Move tool (row 1, column 2 on my Toolbar). Eight handles will appear around the pug. Holding down Shift, drag any corner handle to resize (Shift preserves the proportions). Also use the Move tool to position the pug where you want him using the mouse. You can also use the arrow keys to fine-tune the position.

If when you selected the pug you selected some excess white outside his outline you can remove this with the Eraser tool (row 7, column 1). Similiarly if you had not selected all of the pug you can use the Brush to paint in the rest. You can also use the Eraser for example to flatten the bottom of the pug as I have partially done.

Couple of good reads about why Google Maps was removed from iOS 6. Again, I hate Apple's Maps program, and never liked the iPhone Google Maps for directions, always used Mapquest. I think Apple jumped the gun on their Map program, probably could have waited to iOS7. Google is trying to play the "we didnt know" and "we dont know why" card, but iOS6 was in beta since early this year, everyone knew. If Google cared that much, they would have an APP being released soon...

Yes, when you first turn the computer on, I'm not talking about iTunes. You can give different users of the computer their own personal profile, it means each user has their own independent settings almost as though they are on a completely different computer.
In Windows 7 you need to go into control panel>user accounts>add or remove user accounts and set up an account with your own identity. From then on, when you switch the computer on there'll be two profiles to choose from, yours and your sons. If you go into your new profile and open iTunes it'll be like starting from scratch. You will be able to create a completely new iTunes account that'll be totally seperate from the old one. Unfortunately you'll have to add your music again.
If you don't want to import all your CDs again you can copy them from the original profile on the computer to a flash drive and then copy them into the iTunes folder in your new profile.

Error while opening pdf in reader in windows 8:Can't open this file. There's a problem with file format

I have a problem with a pdf file which does not open with reader in windows 8 but it opens properly with adobe pdf reader. All other pdf can be opened in reader.But when i open a pdf(see this link for pdf for which i got error http://incometaxsoft.com/temp/Form.pdf)
it gives error as "Can't open this file. There's a problem with file format".
The same file opens properly in adobe pdf reader.You can check the pdf file which i have mentioned in the link above.But the reader which comes with windows 8 can open some other pdf in the same PC.What may be the error causing this??

This has turned out to be an enormous issue for me as I sell PDF files as ebooks. I have done a fair amount of investigating this for my system.
My files have to be compatible not just across readers but across operating systems.
To date, I have over 200 PDFs that have functioned flawlessly across Mac, PC (Windows 7 and below), Android, iPhone/iPad, Linux.
I personally test my PDFs using a variety of readers and PDF editors including
PDF XChange (my favorite)
Foxit (runner up for me and I recommend for most people)
Adobe (the bloated monster)
Nitro 9 (great for moving graphical elements around)
ABBYY
And the Nuance PDF Create toolsets
Those are off the top of my head. There are a bunch on Android that I test with too.
I am running the Windows 10 Pro Tech Preview and I have this same problem so I know it isn't fixed yet in any kind of pre-release way (-sigh-)
Here is what I've learned for my situation
The PDFs I created using NUANCE'S PDF CREATE PROFESSIONAL VERSION 8
all fail using the built-in Windows 8/10 PDF reader.
When I look at the PDF properties for these Nuance created files, the underlying engine used to write them is called "ImageToPDF". Using ABBYY it indicates their own engine as does everyone else that I've tried. It is easy for you to check to see
what created your PDF by doing a "Control D" (look at the document properties). Perhaps there's a common engine causing issues.
If I use the exact same source files to create a PDF using any of my other tools I have no issues. I checked the PDF versions made by the tools and they are all set to 1.5.
A customer mentioned being able to convert them in a way they worked by saving them without having to do any kind of extraction, but I have not been able to duplicate that. Perhaps he did a "print" which seems like it could work.
In summary, the workaround everyone is talking about, using an alternate reader, of course works. But not everyone wants to change.
The culprit I have found is my Nuance PDF Creation tools that are using the ImageToPDF engine.
I hope it gets FIXED as I really don't want to have to regenerate all of my PDF files.
