Mountain Lion is set up to close windows when you quit a program instead of saving them. To change this, put Safari in full-screen mode, move the cursor to the top, open Safari menu while holding Option key and close Safari from the menu.
If you want to do it automatically with all programmes, open System Preferences > General, and deactivate "Close windows when quitting an application" -

Ok hotpeg. plug ur iphone to the computer go to itunes, in the iphone menu select PHOTOS then search on ur computer where you save your previous pictures from the other iphone and sync , all pictures will be transfering to ur iphone.

hello i hav an ipad mini and i was in the middle of the ios 8 update and i held the sleep and home button at the same time to cancel the update and now it wants me to connect to itunes i dont no how to do that can someone pleaze help me?
RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary. -

You can create and add another Screen Name to iChat.
From iChat 4 you can have as many AIM Logins and Jabber Logins as you want.
"AIM" in this case includes the Apple IDs (@mac.com and @me.com ending names) that also work as Valid AIM Screen Names as well as AIM registered Names.
"Jabber Names" includes using Google Mail IDs and Facebook IDs as well as any registration with any other Jabber server.
If you are not happy with the one you have you can delete and stop using it.
Both Adding and Deleting are done in iChat > Preferences> Accounts.
Highlight an Account/Name and then the minus button to delete.
Using the Plus button show you the Add Screen.

A few months ago i installed a trial version of aperture. I never renewed it and now I want to buy it but it doesn't work.
The system always ask for the trial Serial Number and i don't know it anymore.
How can I get it so that I can buy Aperture definitly and use it.

There is no limit to the number of iPods you can sync with one computer, iTunes library, or account. See this article for different ways of managing multiple iPods.

I deleted something and now Mail wants me to set up a new account

I don't remember exactly what happened but I was on a site that somehow opened my mail . I must have clicked on something . I noted the time it happened and went to finder and deleted everything that was created or modified at that time --days go by --(I use my eMac mainly for mail) and when I tried to open Mail on my powerbook I am welcomed and asked to start a new account . I checked the User>library>Mail and all the mailboxes and mail are still there .
I still have everything in the trash and one of the files had mail in the name so I dragged it into the hard drive thinking it would know where to go (you can tell I'm a real computer wiz;) I don't know where it went but it didn't help .
Here is what I deleted and is in the Trash;

com.apple.mail.plist is just sitting on the hard drive and doesn't know where to go.

If not, quit the Mail.app and using the Finder go to Home > Library > Preferences.
Move the old com.apple.mail.plist file (that is just sitting on the hard drive and doesn't know where to go, ;-)) within the Preferences folder for your Home directory.
Since you launched the Mail.app after moving this com.apple.mail.plist file out of the Preferences folder, more than likely a new com.apple.mail.plist file has been created. If so, moving the old com.apple.mail.plist file back within your Preferences folder will replace the new preference file created.
Launch Mail and everything should be restored as before.
The com.apple.mail.plist file stores all account information and general Mail.app preferences.
The MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded2 file is the file that tracks messages downloaded from the server for a POP type account and your settings for removing messages from the server when downloaded. This file is located within the POP account named folder (named by the user name and incoming mail server for the account) at the first level within the Mail folder at Home > Library > Mail and if you have multiple POP type accounts created in the Mail.app, the same file name is located within each POP account named folder.
This file isn't important and can be deleted.
When removing this file from within a POP account named folder (which should be done with the Mail.app quit), a new MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded2 file will be created automatically by Mail when re-launching Mail and any messages already downloaded by this account that remain on the server will be downloaded again.
If you have selected to remove messages from the server when downloaded by the account (which is available at Mail > Preferences > Accounts under the Advanced tab for the account preferences), deleting this file will have no effect.
For future reference, you need to be careful about what you remove and from where unless you know the ramifications before doing so. -
I downloaded mozilla firefox today and now I get the error 0x80070002 all the time, and I cannot use system restore because of it. How do I fix that so that my computer works right again. I was restoring because after I d/l your mozilla today, I lost all of my contacts in my msn email...just been tearing my hair out over this and it is soo darn frustrating. Tell me how to fix this. Please also check the downloaded file by right-clicking > Properties > Digital Signatures, which should say '''Mozilla Corporation''' and '''This digital signature is ok''' in '''Details'''. You can download Firefox from a known site like e.g. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
You can try to Reset Firefox which would hopefully display the missing features, all (contacts, emails, settings etc.) of which are actually stored at the MSN site and are temporarily displayed by Firefox every time the site is accessed.
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

every new version is limiting either your own advertised ad ons or real play and now systematic......do you really think that I and others are going to stop using their norton virus software that they get from comcast in order to upgrade....I don't think so. This is getting highly suspect and a trusted browser seems like they are now being paid off by microsoft or some such. I do not trust this at all

Why are my custom groups and buttons at QAT deleted each time I restart Outlook?
I created 3 template emails in my Outlook 2010 and added them to a group under Home Tab and also tried adding them to the QAT. In both cases, each time I reset Outlook, my customized templates are gone from the ribbon.
