Unfortunately, either the Apple Store person did not understand exactly what you were trying to do.....or.....they made a mistake and gave you incorrect information.
The TC needs to connect to the Netgear modem/router using a wired Ethernet connection.
You will have to backup to the TC over the Netgear wireless network if you want the iMac to remain connected to the Netgear network during backups.
Otherwise, you would have to manually connect the TC to your iMac whenever you wanted to make a backup, disconnecting from the Netgear network. Then, once the backup was done, you would have to manually disconnect the Ethernet cable and connect back to the Netgear network. That is not a reliable setup, and will no doubt cause issues.

I'm assuming you bought it via the Apple Online store. Contact them. Use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page. Did you buy the phone from the store in the country you intend to USE the iPhone? If you bought the phone in the US store and intend to use it OUTSIDE the US, you only have yourself to blame, as they shipped the CORRECT phone for use in the US.

HT1430 i have recovered, reset and restored and i only get the screens that page through with all of the different languages of HELLO. is there another fix?

i have tried everything recommended. (RESET, RECOVER and RESTORE), i still cannot get the IPAD to activate.

Lots of people get their account hacked from time to time, it happens, usually you're just unlucky.
Now you've changed your password you should've been logged out everywhere. However, if you still think your account is compromised, please follow the steps here.
In the long term, take a look at this thread detailing ways you can try and prevent it from happening in the first place.

Well first you need to sync your iPhone 4 with your Mac/PC so that it will transfer all your music, apps, podcasts, etc. Then sync your iPod Touch and the media you selected during the sync should be there on your iPhone. If you have difficulty in transferring media from iPhone to your computer, try softwares like TransCopy. They will help in transferring data from your iphone to your computer. Dont forget to check that all the transferred data is in the iTunes media folder so that the iTunes can locate the files. Link to Transcopy software :

ExportPDF is not for forms. In general, converting forms to Word is a really, really bad idea which can even cause legal problems. Work with the form as a PDF. Acrobat (not Reader) can export form data as simple text for example.

Apple cannot help you locate the original owner. If you have no way to contact him/her, and you purchased directly from the seller rather than through a site that offers buyer protection, then the iPad is useless to you and you have wasted your money. The iPad is quite probably stolen and you should turn it in to the police.
This is why it's very risky and usually unwise to purchase out of a car boot from someone you don't know.

You need to be in a country to use its store, so unless you are in the US with a US billing address on your account then you can't buy from the US store - you can only use the South African store. Your cracked screen is considered customer abuse and it will not get replaced by Verizon. You will have to file an insurance claim.

I just noticed that I can no longer select photos out of my finder that are located in my Aperture/Iphoto Library. I used to be able to attach photos to my gmail out of the aperture library in the finder and for some reason, no longer can.

I can't access these images except to go into the applications.
Also, I'd like to import my iphoto library into aperture, and move aperture library to an external drive. I tried the import first, but there wasn't enough space. Then I tried copying over the aperture library onto the external drive but it failed bc it said file was in use.
As it is, I only have 50gb left on my imac, and the aperture library is 150gb. Also, I have over 10k images in both libraries combined and there are tons of duplicates that need to be sorted, and hopefully not messed up because I've organized most of them.
So in short, I need to know how to do the following:
-select photos in finder in aperture/iphoto libraries
-move aperture library to live on external drive
-import iphoto library into aperture library
-eliminate dups but maintain organization
-moving forward i need a better workflow so that I import images from camera, and can organize right away into albums rather than creating projects by default and then creating albums so essentially the photos are in 2 different places, even tho they are referenced
-live happily ever after

If you're using apps like iPhoto or Aperture then they replace the Finder for managing your photos. The point is that you use the (many) options available via these apps for the things you want and need to do with the Photos.
So, simply, you don't select the photos in the Finder. I'll append the supported ways to do this - which are faster and will yield the current version of your Photos - to the end of this post.

Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit Aperture
2. Copy the Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching Aperture. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.
Referenced - relocate your Masters first.
These issues are covered in the Manual and on this forum hundreds of times.

You can't. Every photo is in a Project. They’re the basic building blocks of the Library.
You might want to spend a little time with the manual or the video tutorials. I'm not sure you've grasped the app you've purchased.
The following is written for iPhoto, but about 97% works for Aperture too.
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto/ APerture: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics. This is what you use to attach your shot to your GMail
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps. If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto/ Aperture.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto/ Aperture not running:
For users of 10.6 and later: You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.

Hi need help! Purchased iphone5 and I have recieved a message saying that I have to back-up the phone as it has "never been" backed up. I proceeded to "back up now" to icloud and the phone went into back-up mode as it should via my wi-fi connection. However I am now recieving a message saying that the back-up has "about 32 hours remaining" and as I didn't realise that a back-up would take this long I was wondering what will now happen if I press the "Cancel Backup" button? Will I lose any information from my phone i.e. contacts, calendars etc all the important stuff ? Or will the back-up just cancel without actually backing up any info at all and that I will then have to try again at a later date or back-up through itunes? Heeeeeelp please !!!!
