OK, I made a movie; now what?
I made a movie in iMovie. it consists of about 345 pictures from my digital camera all put together like a slide show (each one is on the screen for 3 seconds), and I have music in the background that I timed to the pictures.
My problem: I don't know how I can transfer my movie to a DVD. I have a Mac OS X 10.2.8, G4, iMovie 3. I don't think my computer burns DVDs. The file is large and won't fit on the flash drive I have.
I did this as a wedding surprise present for my friends who are getting married this Saturday. If anyone can think of any way for me to somehow get this movie into DVD format, I will be forever grateful!

I don't have a camera that I can export it do (or anyone that does.)
In DV full quality, it's over 3 KB. I don't know if there are any CDs that hold that much. I don't know what else I could do...

ok no one has been able to help me so far-- once I have made a movie -- what do I do-- I want to export it to youtube but cant--- so maybe once that I have fiished it, i need to do something with it so that I can export it and the greyed out areas wont exist (to exp to youtube) please help
hi Klaus, my Mac is only 2 years old so I guess 0sxmoutain lion? I found that I had to drag the thumb nails to the top of the project-- then I found that the once greyed out areas worked! I tried to export it to you tube but then some prorgam asks me what size-- I chose medium - it took about 5 mins to upload then it said that I had to contact my server-- so it wouldnt allow me to upload (we have enough gigs to upload though) so I am confused as to what to do when I am asked to export to youtube ie sizing. thanks Jen

I have FCE 4, and I took some footage, created a 2 minute movie to test with. In FCE, I did the export quick time movie. According to the FCE documentation I can create the movie then import into iDVD. All sounds great, but when I bring up iDVD, there is no way to see the movie that I created in FCE. How can I import.
HELP!Pick an iDVD menu that suits you, then drag your exported movie into the iDVD window. If you're doing it right, a blue outline should appear around the window. Let go of the mouse, and there your movie sits.

I've made a movie in iMovie. Now all of a sudden the sound that I added to my video is mute. I havn't changed anything and in my other iMovie-projects the sound is working fine. What is the problem? Help!
Try double tapping the movie clip itself when inserted in the timeline and ensure that sound is on on the actual clip on the movie time line.

I made a movie in iMovie then deleted the clips in it. I have reimported the clips in an event with the same name as previously and some clips in the movie are still saying source slip missing even though they are there. Some clips are fine in the movie, but most are just black and when I hover over them, it says source clip missing. How to I fix this? Thank You
I did that too, then I did a migration assistant to a new Mac and ALL of my movies have Source Clip Missing now, even though the original clips are still in the iPhoto Videos. I can stand to re edit one or two projects, but not ALL.

I disconnected my iPad unconsciously while it was updating ios 7.0.4 and it just stuck on that screen showing apple logo and a loading bar that just won't move on what to do now ????
It's not uncommon for it to not work the first time and sometimes, you have to try it a few times. Turn off your antivirus software and your firewall while you are trying to restore the iPad. Enable them again after you restore.
If that still won't work, post back with detailed information as to what exactly does happen as you go through the process. -
i just made a movie in iMovie and exported in MP4 format, now it won't open, error message says quicktime can't open the file ***? Anyone?
I have the same problem. I'm using Mavericks OS and latest iMovie. Both downloaded last week. I save the movie into File (as directed) and QuickTime
will not open. I'm then directed to a page of formats which are supposed to be supported on which is .mp4. Any tips? -
I have edited a movie in Final Cut Pro and the video has been smooth all the time.
Now, when the one hour long movie is ready the video seem to paus every 5 sec (only for half a second). It does it all the way through the movies.
What is wrong? All the sudden.We need info, info, info!
What version of FCP X?
Did you render? what are the project specs? do you use many compound clips? how much ram, hard drive space, how is the hard drive connected?
It looks like your mac can't keep up. Maybe the bottleneck is the hard drive, or something else.
Try exporting a master file and see if the video is ok.
Also, keep Activity Monitor open and see how much memory pressure you've got. -

Where can I watch my movie rental?
You can watch your movie rental on your computer, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch (with iOS 3.1.3 or later), iPod classic, iPod nano (3rd, 4th, or 5th generation), or on your TV using your Apple TV. How many times can I view the movie?

iCloud provides a very basic photo gallery in Photo Journal, though it is populated only from iPhoto for iOS, not from a Mac. Otherwise you will need to find a third-party solution - this page examines some options:

Hi I bought an iPhone 4 under AT&T's contract, 7 months later, my job made me move outside of the US, now I have a locked iPhone in Central America. Although I've watched lately that Apple is selling unlocked iPhone's (which is awesome); now my question is: Is it possible to make my iPhone unlockable on any carrier, if I send you my IMEI or serial number, and actually proving to you my location!? I actually even payed some sort of fine for destroying contract with AT&T ($300)+ the original $230 with taxes for the iPhone+ the monthly fees.

Some text do look like they were final texts, that cannot be filled, but they are also place holders, for example the "Season's Greetings".Have you really clicked on each and every text, to see if they need filling in? -
when I have made a movie in Imovie and I want to transfer it to Theater I get the following comments: "Imovie is updating your Theater, You can't add or remove movies right now. Please try again in a moment". I have uninstalled and reinstalled Imovie to no avail, cleaned with "Onyx" etc.
This simply means it is set to Automatically update and you should not have to do anything with it.
When you put new music in iTunes , it will automatically go on the iPod next time you connect it.
This is the default to make it very simple and very easy to use.
If you want to do it all yourself, iTunes prefs -> iPod.
Set to Manually manage songs and playlists.
You have to drag songs to the iPod and delete them from the iPod. -
I made a movie in imovie. I went to shate and selected iDVD. It processsed the movie for about 5 min. When it finished I did not have the icon at the bottom of screen like the tutorial displayed. How do I find iDVD?
Check in your Applications folder to see if you have the iDVD application there?
Do you have a new Mac that came with Lion preinstalled? If so you won't have iDVD nor iWeb. Apple has discontinued iDVD and iWeb and is no longer selling them.
In that case you'll have to purchase the boxed iLife 11 disc from a 3rd party retailier like Amazon.com: iLife 11.
Also it's best to use the Share ➙ Media Browser menu opiton in iMovie and then add the movie from the Media Browser in iDVD to the iDVD project. It provides a better qualtiy movie to iDVD.
Also follow this workflow to help ensure the best quality final product:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image and launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding was good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
