Ok maybe i'm an idiot, but i can't get isync to actually work.
my phone is compatible, and it SAYS it's connecting and working, but after i click "sync" and it goes through "sending" and "receiving" information, nothing has changed on my phone.
i'm trying to send my phone numbers from my address book back to my phonebook on my motorola razr. isync recognizes the phone, but i'm missing a step somewhere because the contacts aren't being sent in either direction.
3 months ago when i sent my phonebook to my computer i used a different freeware that i can't for the life of me remember the name. i had to send each ontact one at a time, but at least it worked. anyone know which one i might be talking about?

Where is your iSync application located?
If you have moved it from its default location in the main Applications folder, that is why it has not been updated to 2.4
Move it back and then download and run the 10.4.10 COMBO updater (the huge one).

I lost the Real Player download capabillity when FF updated to FF4..... The plug ins for Real Player still show on the add on screen but no " download this video" shows when I mouse over a video.... I tried reverting to earlier version of FF which had worked well for Real Player donloads but it no longer works either.

This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.

I own many apple devices, iMac mid-2011, Macbook Air 2013, 2 ipads, and 2 iphones for the family, and Apple TV.
I want all my devices to be on a password related internet but the double nat on my TC makes weird things happen and slow. I try bridge mode but the internet doesn't work.

You building supplied internet is a cheap service that is without proper routable addresses..
Therefore to use more than one IP you MUST have double NAT.. sorry there is no choice..
Slow that is because you are sharing internet with every other person in the building.. get your own broadband service.
Bridge will not work.. it cannot work because the building only has private IP addressing. And they only give you a single address.
You can put a password on the wireless.. go to the airport utility and put in a password.
Other than that I don't understand what password you expect.

No NAT.. means the TC becomes a dumb Wireless AP and switch.. works fine with a cable modem router.. or any broadband router but useless with your building system.

My external monitor works but I can't get my screen to work on my power book anymore

F2 is the up-brightness button, F1 is the down-brightness button, usually, on PowerBooks. If for some reason the F1 button got held down for a couple of seconds, the display would go completely dark.
That being said, if the backlight does not come up (easily determined by seeing if the Apple outline on the cover is lit up) then the most likely suspect would be the inverter board, or the connection to the inverter board. If this is a Titanium PG G4, the inverter board is easy and relatively inexpensive to replace. For the Aluminum models, I don't know if that is quite so true. -

I am trying to install Adobe Reader my wife's laptop but "installer" hangs up and fails with a blank black screen. The machine is capable and has a Vista OS. My wife blames the machine and wants to "throw it out." She's an idiot but I need to get this fixed.

My Finder is going crazy. Keep getting a message saying it quit unexpectedly and asking if I want to restore windows, but I can't get it to stop. buttons don't work.
Something else you can try.
In Finder hold down the option/alt key while selecting the Go menu item. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer ones.
If you want to make your user library permanently visible, run the below command in Applications/Terminal.
chflags nohidden ~/Library/
You will need to do that after any updates. -

have an airplay enabled AV Receiver - how do i set up Airplay
I have a Yamaha RX-V673 which is Airplay enabled, but i can't get Airplay to work either on my Mac book or my iphone. The receiver is connected to my network and i can control it using the iphone App and via the web browser option.

Any help would be greatly appreciatedYou are making some progress with setup of wireless network. Apparently there is reliability problem with the wireless connection. Perhaps you want to refer to following Apple support documents and start tweaking parameters in the router to improve the reliability. I used to have third-party routers such as Belkin and Netgear but switched to Apple Airport routers (Time Capsule then Airport Extreme for now) because of incompatibility issues whenever Apple upgrade Mac OS X. But since Apple develops Airplay protocol as alternative to Bluetooth for wireless audio/video streaming (with much better bandwidth) and must be deployed in any wireless network, there is no reason third-party routers not working for Airplay protocol.

I am trying to setup my ipad 2 but I can't get back to the wi-fi connections section. How do I get there, nothing is working.
The Wi-Fi connections section is in Settings > Wi-Fi
If the home screen is not visible tap the Home button, the button on the front of your iPad that has the rounded square in it. Once you reach the Home screen swipe through the screen of apps until you find the Settings app. Tap Settings and go to Wi-Fi.
If your iPad is completely non responsive, try a restart.
Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep button simultaneously ignoring the red slider. Keep holding until the Aple logo appears and your iPad will restart.
The sleep button is on the side of your iPad on the side opposite from the Home button.
