Ok...so I can no longer use the ppc app that I loved for so long...but...

Hi All:
I am finally at the point where I am finally accepting that I cannot use my favorite ppc app, MacMame. Since upgrading to Lion (with no Rosetta) I can no longer play my favorite arcade games which is fine.
In reading some online forums and blogs I found that if the developer of the program has a universal or intel version of the dmg that I can use this program on Lion again.
Does anyone know how I can convert this ppc version to Universal or Intel running app? Is there an App for that to convert?
Thanks for any help or advice on this.

P.S. - I am not running a partition with SL just to use this program. It is not worth the time.

Hi,
I've long used the Remote app to control my iTunes library which I stream through two Airport Expresses. It's been a great solution for some time.
However, since the latest updates, I can no longer do this. The iTunes library does not show up in the app, only a message telling me to turn on Home Sharing in iTunes.
I have turned Sharing off and on on the iPhone, iPad and iTunes but have had no luck getting it to work.
Any suggestions welcome!

Why can't I use my old apps that I purchased on my ipad 1?

I don't understand why I can't use my old apps that "I" paid for. They all worked fine until I can no longer update my ipad. When you purchase software for your computer you can keep using it until your computer dies. Doesn't seem quite right that suddenly your apps are all gone and you can no longer use them.
Maybe I'm missing something, but I have the Ipad 1 which is sufficient for me with the Apps I "had" now each time I update and sync I have fewer and fewer apps that actually work. I think at least I should have the last updated version of the app.

Don't update....
Some of these apps may be fixed to be backward compatible. Until then you will lose apps if you allow updates on the computer and sync to iPad.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

These are iPad apps correct?
Do you have restrictions set on the iPad? Settings>General>Restrictions>Installing apps>Off or Settings>General>Restrictions>Allowed Content?
Are you sure that the Apps are selected to sync from the Mac to the iPad?
Connect the iPad to the Mac and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Apps Tab on the right.
Click on Install next to the apps that you want to sync.
Click on the Sync Apps Heading to select it
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
If you do not see the sidebar in iTunes 11 - go to View>Show Sidebar from the iTunes menu.

Many email providers allow you to send from outside their network if you set up authentication to their servers in your outgoing mail server setup. You may wish to confirm this with your email provider, but you can just try this:
1) Go to the Accounts preference in Mail
2) Select your email account
3) On the Account Information tab, locate the "Outgoing Mail Server" section and pull the menu down to "Edit SMTP Server list"
4) Select the appropriate outgoing server and go to the Advanced tab
5) In the Authentication pulldown, select "Password" and enter in your email account ID and password
6) Click all the applicable "OK" buttons to close it all up and save the information.
That may work with your email provider, or they may have additional settings needed such as "Use Security Sockets Layer (SSL)". Your provider should be able to tell you what specific settings you need if the basic user name and password don't work.

Why can't I use the CS5 inDesign that I purchased?

Five months ago, I bought a new iMac. It took weeks to transfer or install my old software onto this new computer (because the new iMacs no longer have disc drives and most of the original software was installed from discs). Finally I got it to the point where everything works OK. Except for inDesign CS5. I ended up having to buy an external disc drive so I could see if I installed the software using the original disc it would work.
Still -- when I attempt to open a new inDesign document, I get the endless spinning wheel. When I attempt to open a document that was created in CS5, I get a message saying that I will need additional plugins and that the only way I can open this document is if I subscribe to CS6 by paying the Adobe monthly fee for the rest of my life.
So, I give up -- because I figure this is a dictatorship of the corporations and Apple has conspired with Adobe to trick people into buying new computers while telling them that they will be able to use them with the old software, when in fact they will be forced to buy the new Adobe monthly subscription (whether you can afford it or not).
I give up on trying to work on my new Apple computer and I re-install the old inDesign CS5 software on my old computer (where I had deactivated CS5). But again, same message when I attempt to open documents that were created in inDesign CS5 and never opened by any version other than CS5: You cannot open this document without the necessary plugins, which can only be had by subscribing to the monthly fee to get CS6.
So, now this is beyond the normal capitalist system of corporate illegal activity. This is outright theft. Even in third world countries, corporations give you something for your money.

Can't help with the error, but you don't need discs to install CS5, you can just download the trial and use your serial number to activate.

I have been trying to update apps on my iPad to no luck. I continually get a blank screen. I can, however, still use the other App Store sites. This has been going on for at least a week.

How come the same apps that are available for my iPhone and my iPad are not the same as the apps in the app store on my mac

I want some of the same apps available on my iphone and ipad2 to be available on my macbook pro app store and to be able to link them through icloud. Is this not possible? If not, why not?

The Mac uses Mac OS X and iDevices use iOS. These are two different operating systems and the apps must be written for each operating system specifically, even when the apps go by the same name, such as the iWork apps, they are two ifferent versions of the same app for the two different platforms.
So, as an example, Safari has been written for three different operating systems, Mac OS X, iOS and Windows. And the Safari apps, as similar as they are visually, are not interchangeable for the different platforms.

Can no longer use the same appleid on several iPads for FaceTime

Using iOS 6, I was able to have my appleid on the family iPads and by having 6 emails registered for FT, an email for each iPad, I was able to FT them INDIVIDUALLY, and they could FT each other INDIVIDUALLY as well. I was able to select and activate the emails from Settings>FaceTime by checking the email from "YOU CAN BE REACHED BY FACETIME AT..."
Since upgrading to iOS 7, I can't seem to do this anymore. I have set things up the same but I call one iPad and 2 iPads ring, I call BACK the original iPad and it says that user is unavailable. OR if I delete everything and start from scratch, I can get 2 iPads working correctly, I can get 3 ipads to work correctly... introduce a fourth and things go all funny with some iPads ringing, more than one ringing, none ringing and so on...
Has anyone come across this 'problem' and is it a bug? It's the same thing on the iPhones as well. Please bear in mind that it's using just one appleid only.

1. In Spotlight type in "Keychain Access"
2. There will be a certificate issued by Apple iPhone Device CA - This certificate was signed by an unknown authority. Delete this certificate (or move it to the desktop, out of the keychain access store)
3. Launch Facetime and login - this time there will be no error..."
