Okay, How do I Duplicate my Bridge Workflow?

I shoot a Nikon D200. When I return to my studio, I import the files from my CF cards and convert to DNG in the process. The LR import does this well, so I can replace my Bridge import with LR.
I then select the photos that I want to keep and adjust them in ACR. LR has that built in, so I'm good there, too.
But...
At this point, I typically use the "Image Processor" to create a new directory of those images, taken to PSD, and run an action on them that creates a number of custom adjustment layers. I then go into Photoshop and edit those images. I don't see how to do this in LR.
Sure, I can edit them one-by-one in Photoshop, but that's rather time consuming.
Is there a way to have LR batch process my selected DNG files into a new directory as PSD so I can then edit them for retouching and then move to the printing or web phase?

I think you can go either way, if you want to make the target folder your watched folder. However, normally I think you may have to reimport but I don't know for sure.

I'm with you verm71; it's not entirely clear how Apple is expecting you to manage this. I'm going on vacation soon and want to clean up my phone so that it's nice and empty for the new pictures. There doesn't seem to be a way to do this without losing your pictures in the new Photos as well. If imported, it's impossible to see which is the Cloud version and which is the Local version. It's very annoying.
I've also noticed in iPhoto you used to have the ability to locate the original of the picture inside the photo database. That option is not provided in Photos, making finding the original extremely difficult.
It seems to be a great, well-oiled system. But I would love to know how Apple envisions the typical workflow for archiving...

There is no such thing. In CS6 only PS itself is Retina compatible. You would have to use CC for full Retina support.

How to remove duplicate items ?

ok so ive moved my iTunes library from the NAS drive I bought (after finding out that wouldnt work) onto my new laCie external drive, but ive found some of my albums have triple copies?
i know how to show duplicates but im not sure how to safely remove duplicates without deleting all copies?

Oh boy.
I'm sure there are better ways to do it than this and it will take time, but to avoid all possible loss of data, what I would do is first consolidate all of your libraries.
• Open the iTunes Library you think is most correct by holding down the OPTION key when you open the iTunes application, which should bring up a dialogue like this: http://cl.ly/image/2i2Q3o0Z0Y3C
• Then go to preferences and make sure it looks like this: http://cl.ly/image/2C2Z0u0C3T3c
I would recommend keeping your main iTunes library on your main hard drive (for me that's my internal), unless you definitely can't fit it.
• Now go to the File menu >Library > Import Playlist
• Navigate to another of the libraries, and click on the iTunes Library.xml file and import it. Do this for each of your libraries, except the one you are currently using.
• Now that you've got everything imported into the one library, the fun part starts.
Do what i said in my previous post and remove all the duplicates.
• Once that's done, check all the other libraries to make sure you haven't missed anything, and send them on their way to the Trash, and empty it to reclaim all that space.
I really hope you get this sorted, I went through an ordeal like this myself recently, so it's going to take time, but it feels good when it's all cleaned up and finished!

You can install CC on two computers and use them both (even different OS if needed)
You can also sign out with your Adobe Creative Cloud application on one computer and log in on another computer, the max of active systems is 2 but it should be possible to have them on multiple systems with signing in and out.

All devices signed into the same iCloud account will finish up with the same contacts. Of course if prior to joining iCloud two family members each had an entry for Uncle Fred, then you will finish up with two contact cards for Uncle Fred, and so on. If you tidy this up on your computer then the changes will propagate to everyone else.

How can I duplicate a control in a subVI using the reference?

Here's what I want to do. I have a tree control in my main application. I add and delete items dynamically based on user input. If I pass my tree reference to a subVI, I can add, subtract and reorder the items in the tree and the changes are shown on the main tree. How can I duplicate the tree in the subVI? Would I simply pass the tree control in (which I'd rather not do) or is there some other way to accomplish this?

Here's my attempt. This VI uses a control reference of the old tree and generates a data structure that can be used by the "Edit Tree Items.Add Multiple Items to End" method to add contents to the new tree that should be identical to the contents of the original tree. Note that this VI only works with LabVIEW 8.0 and later, since the afore-mentioned method is not available in previous versions.
I hope this helps...also note that I saw some re-draw issues with LabVIEW 8.0, i.e. after the VI ran, I didn't see the tree displayed properly until I minimized/restored the window, or dragged another window over it. I did not see the redraw issues in LabVIEW 8.2.

How do I manually start a workflow to...

I have a list with 2000+ items in it. I create a 2013 workflow in SPD that will look at an item and if it date is less than 1/1/2013 it will create a copy of the item on a list used for archiving, then delete the existing list item.
My question is how do i manually start this workflow on the entire list (instead of selecting 1 item at a time)?

How do I duplicate layers & groups without automatically adding a "copy", "copy 1", "copy #" at the end of the new group?
It's been pestering me for quite a while now, since I often work with the same elements over and over again. Its frustrating to have to change the name of each layer manually, especially if I'm copying a whole group.
Is there a setting in Photoshop or perhaps an external script that can help fix this for me?

There is no way to defeat this within the program itself. Here's the workaround:
Duplicate the file (from the Image menu).
Drag the Group or layers from the Layers list from the duplicate to the image window of the original , while holding down Shift.
That will make a "copyless" copy and reposition the copyed material in the exact same position it was on the original.
