Okay i have purchased songs,apps,movies,books and i updated my ipad 2 and know i have what i bought in my purchase history and cant get it on my ipad or labtop

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. Have you looked on all the pages of your iPod? Have you looked in all your folders? Have you you tried finding the apps using the iPod's search page.

Normally no, updating iTunes won't affect your library at all. That said, it would be wise prior to the upgrade to make a backup of the iTunes Library and iTunes Music Library.xml files and of any tracks you've purchased from the iTunes Music Store or that would otherwise be difficult to replace, just in case something does go wrong.

My Itunes doesn't have a music tab, only apps , podcasts , books and itunesu . Why is this ?

My Itunes has been giving me a lot of trouble. Firstly i havent been able to browse through or see any music in the itunes store , only apps,podcasts , books and itunesU. Secondly I received two itunes gift cards for my birthday and when i tried to reedeem them in the ap store it said invalid codes for both. I proceeded in trying to redeem the cards from my itunes on my computer and it said the country of the itunes account doesnt match the itunes card. I am Jamaican ,and i created my apple ID on my itouch in Jamaica , did that automatically give me a Jamaican account? How can I resolve these issues ?

Only about a quarter of the iTunes country stores have music, so you are apparently looking at one that doesn't.
Go into the store, and click the little house icon to get to the home page, where you can click on "Change Country." Click on the country you are in, and enter your credit card information.
To make purchases, the address on the card must match the country of the store, and you must be physically in that country at the time of purchase.

I own the movies and I want them to stay in my iTunes library basically forever.
But in both cases the file name no longer shows in the movie list, so I don't know how to re-download it from the Cloud.
iTunes prefs > Store > Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases.
This will show all your iTunes purchases in your library with a cloud icon down arrow. Click the icon to redownload or click on Play to stream without downloading.

and techncially, you don't "own" the movie, You simply have a license to use it.
Yet the first thing iTunes does when you hit the delete key is tell you that it will remove the movie forever from all devices and the library.
Actually, no it does not tell you that.
FYI: You should keep copies of all yoru iTnue spurahses as the labels/movie studios/copyright owners can pull their product at anytime and it won't be available to redownload.

I wanted to sync some songs in my iPod touch 4G then I realized all my songs, app's, videos, and pictures are gone. Now I am unable to sync any songs, all my other songs are in my iPod touch and I am using a windows 7 computer. I have tried authorizing and deauthorizing my iTunes there's still no chance of hope. I am very worried about this please I require your help.

Last week I did not have this problem, but today I am having it again. Nothing has changed except that I updated the feed last night/early this morning. Is there any explanation why my episodes keep disappearing en masse from iTunes?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. As an example, I'm going to my email in safari, while I wait for it to load, I open an excel document, and the OS decides excel should be the front app, so I go back to safari so I can enter my login info, but halfway through my password the OS decides that excel is where I should finish typing my password.
