Okay so my iphone says its connected to the internet but the internet only works for games so i cant use things like facebook twitter or youtube PLZ TELL ME HOW TO FIX THISf by the way it an iphone 4s and i have never encountered this problem before my dads iphone is the same after we updated to ios 8.1.1 but my mum hasnt updated yet and hers is fine
If deleting then reinstalling the apps doesn't work, then contact the app developer for support.
It sounds, though, like your internet connection is simply very slow.
Try making a backup, then restoring the iPhone as new, and testing again.

Yesterday under sufference I moved across to I-Cloud from my Mobile me accounts.
I had a deadline of 30th June to merge my email accounts or they would of ceased.
In order to remain compatible I also bought the Lion OSX platfrom which was upgraded from Snow Leopard.
I have moved all my .mac and .me accounts across to I-Cloud and the Connection Doctor recognises them to allow email to be downloaded,
but its seems when the SMTP part of the loggin tries to connect its booted off the mail server.
Im know that I have probably not managed to merge across competely to I-Cloud successfully and wondered if any one can please tell me the
setting I need to change under the mail preference account profiles to ensure this will work correctly.

DeniseHi Roger, Thanks for your suggestions. Do you think in fact that I could delete the SMTP part of the mailservers. It appears that they are dedundant as it now says it used Icloud only?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

I just downloaded the new version of Firefox and now every site I used to use such as Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube show "This Connection Is Untrusted". Even when I do accept the risks the site no longer looks the way it's looked for years. Twitter doesn't even give me the option to accept the risks at all and shows this error (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer). I've tried resetting Firefox, I've checked the time and date, and I've removed and added Firefox to see if that would work. Nothing seems to be working so I can see the sites the way they normally would be instead of "coded". Can anybody help me please?!!! Thanks
ok, unfortunately the fiddler2.com issuer in certificates might be a sign of unwanted software present on your pc that is intercepting secure network traffic. please go into the system control panel and uninstall programs like BrowserSafeguard, BrowserSafe, SafeGuard or other software that sounds suspicious and didn't get installed by you intentionally.

Force the phone into recovery mode:
If you cannot turn off your phone using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When your phone turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons. Then, leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, itunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. -

Your computer is showing it's connected to the Wifi router all right, but perhaps the router isn't connected to the Internet.
If your connecting the Ethernet cable directly to the modem and resetting it, bypassing th erouter and then getting online, fine that's good.
If your connecting to the router directly and getting on the Internet fine, it means the router is connected to the Internet.
If the last one is true then likely what has occured is your DCHP lease is expired because your computer doesn't have the right time and date as the router, it's showing a good signal but your not connecting.
Open System Preference and check the date and time and set it to update to Apple's time server for your location.
Sometimes Apple's time is off, as third party routers get their time elsewhere and sometimes the two don't match and thus DCHP lease is expired.

Is there a way I can solve this by resetting or do I need to go into the apple shop to get it sorted. Any help? Thanks.
