OKEON and KCH5N

Hi All,as we create Cost center Hierarchy, Profit center Hierarchy in DEV,Quality, can we Transport (if Yes, How?) both hierarchy to Production or do we nee to create one by again in Production?
How to delete a cost center or Profit center from Hierarchy ,just making them as in active or give Different Validity Period,?
we don't want to see the inactive Cost centers in Hierarchy,we have New G/L is activated ,
Thank you ,
Sandhya Ameya

Hi,
You can transport it via OKE5 and 0KEQ transactions. Also, you can import/export them by going to hierarchy, Menu - Extras -Export(Import).
Cost centre (if it's not deleted completely) has to be assigned to standard hierarchy. You can change the anaysis period, though, in OKEON, thus showing only relevant cost centres.

  • How to creat a cost center

While creating a cost center it is throwing a error that Controlling area XXXX does not have a standard hierarchy (please assign one)..
Pls Guide what i need to do..
    Its urgent..
    Thnx & regards
    Subhajeet

If you assigned the Std Hierarchy to the Controlling Area while the CCtr Create screen was still open, get out of that screen and try to create the CCtr again.
Else, go to OKEON and maintain a hierarchy for the Controlling Area. Create a group or two below the Std Hierarchy and then try to create the CCtr.
    Cheers.

  • Forecast timeframe change

    Hi gurus
I am trying to change cost center validity period using OKEON and I get an error message: new validity time period 01.01.2000-31.12.2008 outside of forecast timeframe.
I did this before with some other cost center in another company.
What is the forecast timeframe and how can I change it?
    Thanks

  • Error In Cost Center Hierarchy Creation

    Hi Guru's
Error In Cost Center Hierarchy Creation
Our Business scenario is we have controlling area 1000, under that we have cost center Group as ABC lower level to that  we create each business wise in lower level like 1100, 1200, 1300 under this we create 110010 for production  110020 employee 110030 dummy so on, by mistake the client has created  1400 below level to 1000 now  all cost center amount is booked in this is reflecting in 1400 and as well in ABC now I need to move all 1400 cost centers below ABC please let me know how to go about this.
    Regards,
    Bhaskar

    Hi,
So, if it's standard hierarchy go to OKEON and just drag-and-drop this group under ABC; simple as that. In KSH2 (if it's 'alternative' group) the technology of moving is different, but still quite obvious: select the group you want to move and select the new placement.

  • Mismatch of hierarchies in ECC.

    Hi Friends,
We have standard hierarchy of cost centers in ECC. Due to mismatch of data we started analyzing and as we had compared the hierarchy in ECC as well.
One of my FICO colleague have shared the hierarchy using OKEON T code. As i have compared this hierarchy with the hierarchy that I extracted from RSA3 (Extract Checker). I found there is mismatch between the hierarchies that was extracted using OKEON and RSA3. How to get sync of these two hierarchies. All these are compared in ECC.
    Please suggest some ideas.
    Thanks,
    Ravi.

    Hi,
So wrong at t code - OKEON , then ask your source team. Why its missing one of the costcenter from that node. They may done some changes and not updated or activate properly.
Show your sample data what your getting at RSA3 and ask source team to investigate. There is no wrong in bw point of view. its source side itself wrongly assigned or missing one costcenter.
Recheck at your ECC dev. if its shows two costcenter under your node at OKEON then ask source team move your ecc hierarchy to ecc quality.
    Thanks

  • Re: standard hierarchy

    hi experts,
i want to create a new cost center but before i need to create a hierarchy area name-xxxx-410. so i went to okeon, and selected the ccg and drill down and select the last hierarchy area and selected create group at same-level and given xxxx-410 but the system is saying a message of group xxxx-410 already exists but i check in system there is no hierarchy area, the last hierarchy area is xxxx-380 after that we didnt create any hierarchy area.
so if anybody face the same problem give me your inputs and points will be assign for useful answers.
    thanks in advance,
    kk.

    Hi KK,
First you go to KSH3, give xxxx-410 and check if there is any Cost Center Group already existing. If it is existing, you only to assign it in the Standard Hierarchy. If not, you need to create the Group first using KSH1. Once the Group is created, go to KSH2, give the Standard Hierarchy Name OR the Node (alos a CCG) under which you want to assign this xxxx-410. Inside the screen, select the "Node" (single click on the Node name) and the press "Lower Level" button. A new blank row will be inserted by system under the Node. Now click on the arrow seen there, you will get a pop-up, where in you will mention Cost Center Group xxxx-410 and enter. Now, your new Group has become a Note in the Standard Hierarchy. You can start creating the Cost Centers, in the master data, you will be able to see this CCG in F4 values of Hierarchy Area.
Revert back if you face any problem...

  • KSH3 Display cost center error massage

    Hi All,
At the ime of display cost  center we are getting error massage.
*Group 001_CCHRC contains 1181 individual values
or intervals. Options for checking master data
are also active (see default settings).
    Obtaining master data information (existence
check, texts) can considerably increase the run
    time.
Evaluate the master data anyway? *
how to resolve this error massage.
    Rgards,
    Juhi

    Dear Juhi,
This pop up asks if you want to 'Evaluate master data anyway? YES / NO'.
The system asks this because the cost center group is quite large and it
    would caused a performance issue.
If you select 'NO' the cost center texts are not displayed.
If you select 'YES' all cost center texts will be displayed.
My recommendation is either you build a suitable cost
center hierarchy with some business content and groups
with say up to 100 cost centers and use OKEON and OKENN.
For further detail information, please use to following
    attached notes for references:

If you absolutely want to eliminate this popup you
can  review note 364673.  There are two options in the note
    to eliminate the popup message.
The coding change option is already applied except for change the
value used to determine the popup which is set to 1000

    Transaction code : OKEON .
Whenever standard heirarchy get changes then i need to send email to certain group people .
My findings and questions are as follows :
    1. I understand that the changes can be track by using CDHDR table .
    2. What is Object Class for Standard Heirarchy Cost Center  ?
    3. Is there any standard report available for that please let me know .
    4. How to track the changes when Cost center Group got changes ?
    5. Is there any exits or BADI for this requirement ?
Please respond this question as soon as possible . For every useful answer points will be awarded.

You can try using the option GoTo - Change Documents, which is available, when you display cost center hierarchy.

  • How to select the cost center we want to transport with OKEON?

    Hi everybody!
I have 200 cost centers but i want only put in the transport order 4 of them.
How do you do that with OKEON?
    Thanks a lot,
    AnneSo

    Hi experts,
    I found!
    1. create an Order of transport for all center of cost
    2. se01 : modify the objet directly.
    <SID>E004*
ex : if you want to transport all center of cost containing a "K"
    <SID>E004K
ex : if you want to transport all center of cost begining by "000"
    <SID>E004000*
    and so on.
    2. then save.
    3. Then return in the object because it will add automatically a new line with SIDE004*.
    Erase it.
    That's the only way//

  • How to get cost center ranges for a given company and division...

    Hello Experts,
Is there a table, BAPI or FM that can get the company or division of a given cost center?
Currently I am creating cost center ranges in my program but that is not the best way to do it
since they can always add or delete cost centers. Just like in transaction OKEON wherein you
can see the cost center ranges for a given company or division.
Hope you can help me guys. Thank you and take care!

    Hi Viray,
    You can try BAPI 'BAPI_COSTCENTER_GETDETAIL1'.
You need to pass controlling area and cost center detail to this BAPI.
It will return the cost center detail in return.
    Hope this helps you.
    Thanks,
    Arun

  • Standard hierarchy for cost centers, transactions okeon, okenn

    Hello,
When I run transaction okenn (or okeon) I cannot see hierarchy for any cost center group. Exactly, option 'expand subtree' cannot be executed so I am not able to see all nodes of the specific cost center group. I can only see the name of the cost center group, or cost center itself, but not as expanded tree.
What could be the problem? Do I have to define something additionally?
    Best regards,
    Dragan

    Hi,
I don't really trust SU53...it's unreliable as it only shows you the last authorization object checked. Please verify via an authorization trace in ST01. If the issue is indeed PLOG please check SAP notes 177844, 211991 & 175063.
Once you have gone through the notes please run the hierarchy master data comparison (OKEON-> Menu -> Extras).
The issue regarding PLOG and the standard hierarchy is well known in support, but I haven't seen it around in a while....
    Regards

  • OKEON ERROR: Overlapping intervals or identical values have occurred

    Hi Gurus,
Kindly help with my problem. When creating a cost center/ cost center group in OKEON, a warning message is appearing, Message No. GS001, the message log is as follows:
Overlapping intervals or identical values have occurred
    Message no. GS001
    Diagnosis
You have created or changed a set. The set contains a value more than once, although the set definition specifies that this is not allowed.
    System Response
The system does not allow you to create or change the set.
    Procedure
Either correct the set so that it does not contain any value more than once, or change your settings so that a value can occur more than once in the set (in other words, deselect the ambiguity check in the header screen for set maintenance).
If you cannot find the multiple occurrences of values in this set, first permit multiple occurrences of a value and save the set. You can then carry out an ambiguity check (by choosing "Utilities -> Ambiguity check") which will show you the values that occur more than once, together with their path.
I now wish to change the settings of the set so that a value can occur more than once. But my problem is I do not know where to change this setting. Can anyone please advise?
    Thanks and regards

    Greetings Randall et al.,
Is it even possible to disable Ambiguity Check for CO groups?
You can disable the ambiguity check for a Set in GS02 if you go to the Header level, but if  you try to change a CO group that way, it will give you the error GS098 "CO groups cannot be changed"
And if you go to KSH2 / KAH2 there is no option of going to the Header level?
We have found an instance in which one of our CO groups contains a CO subgroup with duplicate entries, which we will naturally fix, but I am perplexed as to why there was a non-unique group saved in the first place?

  • How to change back Std Hierarchy layout in OKEON after using object mgr?

    Hi guyz,
I was using object manager in OKEON to find a certain cost center.
However, the layout only displaying one sub group instead of overall view of the Standard Hierarchy the way it was (before I use Object Manager function).
I need to change back the layout to overall view of the Standard Hierarchy consisting of all subgroups and all cost centers.
    How to change it back?
    Need your answers asap...Thanking you

Solved by clicking cost center group in Object Manager and fill with Standard Hierarchy's name (Top node of the standard hierarchy)
