Okidata printer timeout prints extra page after each job

After updating to Yosemite, I get the following problem.  When printing to my Okidata C331dn, everything seems fine, but about 25-30 seconds later, I get an extra page printed with the following:
ERROR:  timeout
OFFENDING COMMAND:  timeout
STACK:
This happens every time I print.  I am using the Mavericks drivers via USB (Oki has not updated their drivers, yet).
Any ideas on how to stop this?  I am wasting a lot of paper!

Hi,
I have had the same problem with an Oki MC560 color NETWORK printer, after upgrading my Macbook to Yosemite.
Now it seem solved after changing the printer network setting "IEEE802.1X" from "NO" to "YES"
(I don't know why !).
Now, after each printing, the printer remain "active" for some minutes, with "Data" led blinking as it should print something else,
and then it goes in standby (without printing the extra page with timeout error).
I hope this help you

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8000 A809 printing line feed page after every job

I've searched and I have found this is a known issue - that there is supposed to be an update to fix this. I can't find this update anywhere for the HP Officejet Pro 8000 A809. It is connected to the computer via a USB cable. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, changing the print heads, doing diagnostics on it, ..., and I still get the line feed page printing after every print job. Help!

Hey there @tjkalb, I hope you are doing well
I read your post about how a "line feed" page prints after each print job from your Officejet 8000, running Windows 7. I have some steps and questions for you to try to get started. Afterwards please get back to me with the results and we will go from there if needed.
    1. Does the "line feed" page print after print jobs from all programs, or are you finding it prints when you print from somewhere specifically?
    2. Try a Clean Boot on your PC, restart the PC, and try printing from Notepad to see if the line feed prints.
    3. Print a Print Quality Page from the printer and examine it for any defects and to see if the line feed page still prints afterwards:
    source
    4. Click here and try download the "Updates" for this printer: HP Officejet Pro 8000 Printer - A809a
    5. Create another User Account profile on your computer and try printing from there to see if the line feed page prints from another profile.

  • Print HTML Report Automatically after Each UUT

    Hello
I saw the document on NI site called "Print HTML Report Automatically after Each UUT". That's exactly what I want to do with XML files. So I put it in my sequence file and it works fine, but when it opens the xml file at the first step, there's a pop-up from IE who say that "Scripts are generally safe, do you want to authorise this script" (This message is also displayed when I open my file in files explorer).
So, the print is not automatically anymore as I must answer to this pop-up. does anybody has a solution to bypass this pop-up ?
I tried to use the property silent on the class IWebBrowser2. Inded, the pop-up doesn't appear anymore, but my XML file isn't correctly printed. I supposed the default response of the pop-up (which is no) is applied. So the script isn't executed.
I also tried to configure IE to not display this pop-up : No result
    Regards
    Laurent

    Hello,
I think that you need to configure your browser, can you take a look a this article:

  • HP2545 Prints blank or grey pages after cleaning, and changing the ink

    Hello.
I just now happen to have a problem with my printer.  I was doing some important scanning of files and all of a sudden the printer stopped printing (I got only blank pages). So I thought that the ink was used, so I changed it. Still nothing. So I cleaned the printer one time, then second. The test pages came in without the letters, the colors are OK but the intense black dots on test page are actually grey. I don't really know what I can do without giving the printer to service. The printer is actually pretty new, I think I bought it 2 months ago.
    Thanks for replies,
    Kitsu.

    Hi Kitsune_San.
If you purcahsed your printer 2 months ago, it is still under warranty.  I would suggest contacting HP Support at 1-800-474-6836.  Alternatively, you might consider going to HP.com and do a search on the model number of the printer you have.  There are typically a number of technical documents, user manuals and support topics that might help you resolve your issue.  In addition, there is a good diagnostic tool at Print and Scan Diagnostic  which might be helpful.
If any of these helps resolve your problem, please update your post as Resolved so others might benefit from this.

The page is an alignment page.  Complete the alignment as shown on page 33 of the user manual here.  After the page is printed it needs to be loaded in the scanner bed and the Start Copy Black button pressed to somplete the alignment.

  • Laserjet Pro 200 M251NW printing Garbage characters multiple pages after just setting up

I am installing the printer for the first time on a Dell Optiplex with Windows 7 32bit, it is about a year old and is working fine with other printers. The printer was working fine through USB on a laptop running windows XP.
Connected the printer to an open USB on the computer and the auto install started running from the printer. It seemed to run OK, I followed all of the prompts, etc. When I said it should print a test page it started printing multiple pages each with a few lines of what I would call garbage text, strange characters, spaces, random letters, etc. It kept printing pages and I had to turn the printer off to get it to stop.
I was thinking that maybe the drivers from the printer were old and not for Windows 7, so I then download the full driver from the HP website and installed that. It said it would uninstall the original driver, which it did, then it installed and again all seemed OK until I printed the test page, and the same thing as above happened. I also tried printing some text from notepad and it went to the print queue then disappeared. It still seemed like a driver problem to me so I manually uninstalled from the start menu program Uninstall for the printer. This time I downloaded the basic driver and installed - still with the same result. I thought maybe it was because the Quick STart from the printer kept loading when the printer was turned on so I turned it off from the menu on the printer, but it still didn't help. I also tried another USB port on the computer with the same result.
Is it possible there is software left from the first install that may not have been for Windows 7 and it needs to be removed manually??
Any help from HP or anyone would be greatly appreciated as I need to get this printer running for our shipping system ASAP.
    Thanks,
    Rich

I tried all of those things and it is always the same result. Even on the network, printing from the same computer. I was able to print properly from a different computer, to the HP 200 connected to the USB and shared on the original computer - so I then knew the USB was OK.
I was looking online further and found the HP Universal  PCL6 driver, and it actually worked! I don't really understand why the proper driver will not work with the printer though. I even created a new user on the computer so all of the programs, etc. would not load, then I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver - still same problem. The computer also has drivers and printer software for Epson printers, so I don't know if that could be causing some type of problem.
It is good that we can at least do basic printing but I really should have the fully functional driver working for the system. Any help from anyone, and hopefully HP monitors these discussions and can help out.
    Thanks,
    Rich

  • Print statement in JSP page after redirection

    Hi,
I have written a JSP page and in that i am redirecting it to another page. Now after redirection i am printing a statement on the console. It is getting printed whereas when i am printing the same on the browser i am not able to print that. Please can any one tell me the difference between printing the same on the console and browser.
    My first JSP page(one.jsp)
    <%
         response.sendRedirect("two.jsp");
         out.println("After redirect");
         System.out.println("After out");
    %>
    My second JSP(two.jsp)
    <%
         out.println("In two.jsp");
    %>
    Thanks in advance
    regards
    Prashanth

The sendRedirect sets a code in the HTTP response being sent to the client (I believe it is a 302 code but I am not sure off hand) and then proceeds to process the rest of the JSP on the server which is why the print statement shows up in the console.
The out.println writes to the HTTP response output stream. The client gets the response and sees the HTTP Header code telling it to make a new request so it stops processing the response message and sends a new request message which is why the out.println message is not seen in the browser.

  • Printer dispenses a blank page after every printing!

Suddenly my printer is dispensing a blank sheet of paper after almost every printing. Oddly, the only thing unusual I've done, relating to the hp printer,  is downloading the HP Printer Assistant and the HP Printer and Scan Doctor! I've checked all relative settings and nothing seems out of the ordinary or different.

    Hi @ibgb
    Another user recently posted what he/she tried to resolve this same issue. Perhaps it might work for you too;
I reset my top and bottom margins and test printed and scanned and it did not put out any blank sheets.  - Source
    If this doesn't resolve the issue, please try the following;
    1. Touch the Windows key on the keyboard to get to the start screen, then without clicking anything type Devices and Printers, and tap or click the Devices and Printers icon.
    2. Right click on the printer icon and click on printer properties.
    3. Then click on Advance Tab, and click on the Separator Page tab.
    4. A small windows open with the location of the file. Delete the path, click ok to save the settings.
    I hope this helps.

  • New hp envy all in one printer shows a blank page after scanning

I just went through this problem with my old printer and hp sent me a refurbished (new) one. I go to scan something into my computer and it won't scan. It shows a blank page on preview. I checked the settings and they all seem to be right. I am not wanting to spend 3 hours with support and another 3 weeks to get a new printer. Can you help me?

Please check the copying function. Is that blank.
If the printer is copying blank there could be something else wrong with the Envy 120
We have had reports of pages being placed upside down.
The Envy 120 scans with the original facing up.

  • HP printer spitting out extra pages

Anyone else experience this: When printing from the web, my HP printer spits out a bunch (say 3-4) of blank pages and then prints the page(s) that are specified.
(Apparently I'm full of printing issues lately...)
Any suggestions? It does it regardless of browser. (netscape, safari and foxfire)
    Thanks!

Not recently, but I can tell you that my Epson printer prints web pages perfectly. It's worth a shot, however, so I'll try it. Ya never know.

  • Hp 932c printer sends a blank page after printing. Win7. suddenly started doing this.

This suddenly started a couple of days ago.

    Hi there lonelyshepard,
Just to make sure this is not software related lets try downloading and running the print and scan doctor located here:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03275041&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en
It can fix a lot on its own and if not give a better idea of what is going on.
    Best of Luck!

  • Getting extra line after each record when opening a .txt file in excel

    Hi All,
I have developed a program which downloads a file at application server.
each record of file is 500 characters long & have CRLF at end.
the file looks fine when opened in .txt format.
however when i download it from application server to presentation server (using function "download to my computer"), & at presentation when i try to open it in excel format, it shows a blank line after every record.
i don't want this blank line to appear if i download it & open it in excel.
the file record is declared as char500 type.
Please suggest how to deal with this.
    thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Puja.

    Hi Puja,
Check the file in the application server whether it has any gaps between the lines.
Or else as you said if the file looks ok in .txt format, download the file in .txt and open the same file in excel (i.e. open with excel)
    Hope this sloves your problem.
    Regards,
    SB.

  • URGENT -- Printing reports adds extra spaces in between pages

    Hello Experts,
I would like to ask for your help regarding printing from concurrent requests.
I am currently having an issue with printing multiple pages from Oracle reports, both in text format and RTF/PDF formats.
When I generate a multiple page report and print it directly from a concurrent request, print outs generate extra space after each page even though page size is indicated in the reports (all of them are in letter size).
I have already tried editing the printer drivers both the actual driver config file and through the application but the results are still the same.
This is very important since printing is done on continuous paper and continuous pre-printed forms
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
